Isn't a cryptocurrency like that? the volatility is high so the price is easy to go up and down. That is why there are indicators that you can use as instruments in analyzing price movements. All of this means that Bitcoin will most likely always thrive in any negative scenario. Governments can confiscate your precious metals, but they cannot confiscate your Bitcoin as you can simply bury a piece of paper wallet inside a bottle under the ground and no detector will ever find it. Governments can make your fiat money worth ~$0 with only an announcement, but people will always be willing to pay a decent price for a scarce asset. Governments can warn you the banknotes may be infected with some bacteria, but Bitcoin existing only in a digital form will never come with this danger. Banks may close and seize your funds as if they were never yours, but Bitcoin is only stored and controlled by you and you can give anyone some BTC without a third party asking where that came from and why. Someone might give you an oz of gold and you'll have to trust the gold isn't fake, but you cannot receive a fake satoshi. Get it now? Bitcoin is simply a safety during hard times.
Your description of bitcoin makes me realize how much more bitcoin is compared to any valuable asset in physical form, in the real world. So I always believe that bitcoin is an evolutionary form, it takes a long time to be effective, just like natural selection. My personal opinion is we should not panic or panic-sell. If you're in a huge need of cash, commodities should probably be somewhere on the second half, towards the end, of the list of stuff you're thinking to sell. Time will prove whether I'm right or not though, and I wish I could give the best advice ever during these times but I am not willing to take responsibility for anyone's assets, wealth or life. Therefore, this post serves as a summary of the accumulated thoughts I've been having in the recent days.. any critique is more than welcome, so feel free to contradict me  I totally agree with the contents of this thread as a whole. Many things opened my eyes and strengthened me to stay here. No need to worry, the bad season will end, this train our mentality to survive, of course, it must be balanced with strategy and analysis because the opposite can happen. |

I appreciate the fact that you did some research about BTC being mentioned in movies,but why should we care about this? I'm not interested into watching movies and Hollywood produces lots of shitty and mediocre movies nowadays. Why not turning to another big part of the pop culture-like rap music.  Bitcoin is mentioned by a few rappers in their songs.I remember that Royce Da 5'9 mentioned it in one song. I am interested in this comment. Well, everyone has their own interests, right? anyone likes movies, music, drama, etc. When one of the entertainment media quotes about cryptocurrency, it will definitely be interesting for crypto enthusiasts, right? Hyperbole media reporting often causes panic, may worry but must be based on knowledge. Don't forget to monitor information from the official health account in your country, follow the instructions, keep it clean, wash your hands before touching areas on the face and glands, etc. I don't think this has a direct impact on the movement of cryptocurrency. Although the trend tends to go down, there is no significant movement, do not then relate it to this outbreak, there could be other factors. Stop speculating which tends to cause anxiety. |

Actually there is no problem using a mobile wallet, as long as you download it from the official link. That is why we must be selective. I use a Magnum wallet, and it's safe, I like it because it's not connected to emails that have the risk of being hacked. I thought i would never have the opportunity to talk about this but now I am glad I have this opportunity to share my thoughts. I would just get down to the biggest loss ever in my life. Well, I lost about 3 BTC in alts. I had a token called MiracleTele and the token rose quite high but I still held unto my coins not willing to sell, thinking that this coin will be great in the future.
Now, this token is worth nothing as the project seems dead now.
I'm sorry for your bad experience. That is the cryptocurrency with all things unpredictable. I also experienced the same thing but did not lose as much as you, I only lost around 400 $, after investing in a project that was quite popular at the time, but ended up like miracletele. It's okay friends, many people experience things like this, do not regret it because it will increasingly make it difficult. Better to move on and make it a lesson. |

Hackers really exist and the best to protect it is we should use the secured wallet. Never click any link that may lead on hacking your coins. As other fault that hack their assets by accidentally click phishing links on their PC. I always use hardware wallet for storing crypto through this year all my assets are safe and secured.
Hardware wallet is the best choice, lately, I also read that paper wallet is quite safe and can be an alternative choice. I do not store large amounts of cryptocurrency, so I just need to use a wallet in my gadget, I choose a trusted wallet application, and as much as possible I do not choose those connected by email, because I have had a bad experience when my email was hacked and all wallet connected with the email it's gone. |
