1  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto Airdrop sa Bulacan Iris Scanning? on: March 25, 2025, 07:58:42 PM

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment doesn't guarantee you richness on: March 25, 2025, 07:33:01 PM
.
Well, I’ve taught a lot of person about cryptocurrency and I didn’t tell them the good side only, I keep teaching them but at the same time I also keep fudding them that crypto isn’t good, too much risk. Of course sometimes I’m happy to tell them the good side of it because this is the reality, we can earn, we can have profit through crypto but of course due diligince my bros, they should be careful too and be aware of the risks. It’s a common thing that if it involves money, then they should be careful about it, they should have risk managements and be aware about their financial status.

Like now, do you think it’s advisable to tell the newbies that they can become a millionaire if they put money at this point? No.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to practice emotional control in gambling? on: March 25, 2025, 07:04:20 PM
///
Tbh, it's easy to control our emotions, it's easy to have a self-control especially if you're a disciplined person and you're aware of everything in gambling. Set limits to your actions, don't get full of yourself just because you feel something positivity, be practical because gambling doesn't work in your way always. Set a specific amount to spend money, and if those are gone, stop betting, don't waste more money. Chasing losses will just produce more losses because you're acting due to your emotions and those will just create mistakes. Always with peace of mind, gamble with a good mental presence, it's very important because losing money is kinda depressing, so always be careful on what you act in gambling.

Always think about yourself, you should know yourself that at this point of losing, you'll crash out, so in order to avoid that, do something, limit yourself.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise in gambling activities bad economy or addiction on: March 25, 2025, 06:33:51 PM
With the recent rise in gambling activities especially even among the elderly those seen as elders who supposed to be advising the younger generations about the genders of gambling getting involved in related activities, infact if you enters a local gambling shop in my country you will not no an elder from a youth because you see elders also engaging in gambling especially virtually sport betting.

So am asking the forum what do you think is the cause of the rise in gambling related activities in our society is it due to bad economic situation or simply addiction?

Let have your view please
Probably it's the economy. Here in my country, there are some points that there are too many illegal gambling operators here and many of my people got hired and spread gambling in the whole society. It kinda affects the whole country, there are so many promotions of gambling sites in the country, even some affiliate links spread all over the social media.

So, it's a huge part that it become a trend because of the economy and the acts of the government that didn't make a move about it.

Addiction plays a role too, of course if a person always plays gambling even, he loses a lot of money, sometimes they also tried borrowing money to their friends just to gamble.

So yah both affects everyone, both pushes every individual to gamble and spend money.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fear of losing money to gambling on: March 25, 2025, 06:02:44 PM
If you're in a gambling space, first rule is don't be afraid to risk and don't be afraid to lose money, but you should always keep in mind that those risks might give you a bad start and affect your emotions in gambling losing self-control. If you're too scare too lose, gambling isn't for you or maybe it will lead you to something terrible than losing and the most important thing here is you won't learn something in gambling.

Losing is part of the game. If he wants big win in gambling, he should risk a huge amount of money 'cause he won't reach that point unless he has 100% luck or he bet huge money and won like 2x.

He is the problem in gambling, maybe he doesn't have any experience on risking yet, he'll learn eventually.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does nearmises boost your interest to gamble more? on: March 25, 2025, 05:21:55 PM
I would want to know how you feels whenever you are gambling (I mean bet) and you had about 6-8 legs of bet and it happens that the last match cut off your slip. Would you place additional game that same moment your game cut off or you would want to distance to the gambling site maybe whenever you have the right mindset to gamble you continue gambling again?

Let's discuss to have different overview on how people gamble.
That sounds depressing, If you're me, I will try to rest and have some good time because this is kinda depressing in my feeling, it's like I already feel the win but become gone instantly because of just last leg. People will probably chase the lose, gonna place another bet for recover but me, I'll try to keep away from gambling for a second because it's not good in my mental health.

I'll come back when my mind is clear and will gambling with a clean state, nothing to lose again and will just enjoy. The best way to approach this kind of scenario is to accept everything, study how it happened, since it's a sports betting, you can watch replays and analyze the situation why it happened. Try to justify things because in the first place, you have no control to it, they're the one who play.

Discipline yourself.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am currently on 1 week losing streak in sports betting.. on: March 25, 2025, 04:59:50 PM
I've been into sports betting for quite a while, but times like these are pretty tough. Even though I've experienced this before, it still keeps coming back like feeling a bit emotional, losing focus, and sometimes gambling more than I should. Anyway, have you had the same experience? How do you convince yourself to move on and still enjoy gambling?
If you experienced that before, then certainly you know better what to do in times likes this, wherein the result is not what you expected it to be. Well, Control yourself, refrain from playing for a while. It's better to stop than keep on losing and feel disappointed.

In my case, when I am not lucky and lose all my funds, I won't deposit again to chase what I lost. Instead, I divert my attention into other things that can make me forget what happened in my gambling session. If you don't win after few bets, then it's not your day. Learn to gamble in moderation.
True. better to stabilize yourself, chill and touch some grass.

Better to keep yourself from gambling for a mean time then come back if you're mentally okay to gamble again. It's hard to chase losses because it'll make your life harder since self-control is not present in yourself. Chasing losses will just lead you to more problems in life and will eventually drain your funds.

It's better to learn that there are times that is unlucky. Gambling is not a profit-making activity that's very consistent, so it's important to be aware on that.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you still a consider yourself a normal person if gambling is your only hobby? on: March 25, 2025, 03:29:13 PM
I have a friend who doesn’t really go out much to socialize with people. Since his work is online, he spends most of his time in front of the computer. He told me that, to avoid boredom, whether while working or during breaks he just gambles on anything: sports, roulette, and slots.

These days, people can easily find more entertainment online, which is why they tend to spend more time there.

So, do you think this kind of behavior is still considered normal, or is it something to be concerned about?
To be fair, it's normal to have a hobby or find something to be entertained like gambling.

There's nothing unusual about it but once you get addicted to gambling and all you think of about is gambling, then there's something wrong about it.

Maybe his passion is about gambling, no one knows? It's like playing games the whole time but yeah, other way around it's still bad for the health if you focus too much in gambling. At some point, it's normal but if he's always like that, then there's a problem and better check him out.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was the currency of a country on: March 25, 2025, 02:27:32 PM
..
Huge gamble to be honest.

Imagine that a country is risking everything for cryptocurrency. You only think about the positive side of Bitcoin as a currency for the country but remember, there are risks that a government couldn't take. The idea is good, everyone wants it to happen like having a decentralized financial system, but this is the major reason why the government don't want it.

They only invest some small portion of it in case the idea of bitcoin as an investment is really spreading in the whole world and there are global market adaptation happening right now.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: confidence is a dangerous thing on: March 24, 2025, 11:53:07 PM
i have been making predictions about this one sport but not really turning my predictions into bets officially meaning i have yet to actually put money on where my mouth is

anyway in this sport i have been following, i have made two claims that ended up being true i wouldn't say that it is straightforward so even i am surprised with how accurate my predictions were when my basis were honestly a lot of optimism and trust to the athletes to be motivated enough to perform well after previous horrible results

anyway because my predictions have been correct i now feel drunk in power and i feel like i could get another prediction right for the next sporting event i am considering whether i should try and officially bet on it? am i actually good at analyzing things or have i just been lucky?

If your predictions are just being positive then it's kinda risky because probably it's from luck because you didn't rely on analysis. Luck played a big role on your wins.
I also felt that before but turned out I'm wrong because sometimes that confidence came from luck, once luck depleted on yourself, bro you'll gonna shutdown.

Be always practical and be analytical, no one is powerful like that 'cause if there are, there are many of you guys but as you can see, those who've won a lot turns out to make their money gone too because of that reasoning.

Be careful..

11  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Scammers nag take advantage sa balitang pagkahuli ni FPRRD! on: March 24, 2025, 11:37:38 PM
Typical memecoin strat.

Imagine kahit anong political event or historical event gagawan nila ng way para makapang-gatas kasi yun yung trend.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Traders supposed to be called investor too? on: March 24, 2025, 11:19:47 PM
Some people buy Bitcoin and they hold for a long time so that when the price push up, they will sell and rejoice in profit, while some people are trading Bitcoin, they are buying and selling almost instantly to get profit on a short time. I really want to know whom you guys refer to as investors, is it a person that buys and keeps buying through out the bear season with his intention to sell in bull market season OR you refer investors as the person that trade Bitcoin repeatedly for short time profit? Can both of them be seen investors and for what reason?
Lol. didn't expect that it's now complicated to be called an investor.

As long as you've invested, long-term or short-term, you're an investor, the idea of an investments is to secure something valuable in the future, to have a good profit from it and both long-term and short-term gives you that. Long-term are those who believed into the idea, they're the reason why it keeps going and the reason why it has a good foundation until now because they hodl for long term and aiming for a good value. Short term investors are those who take advantage of market's behavior and let me tell you this, some of the short-term investors are also long-term investors, they have stocks of blue chips that aren't used for short trading.
13  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto focus party list on: March 24, 2025, 10:49:22 PM

14  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Meme coin rug pulls makaka aapekto kaya kay Bitcoin? on: March 24, 2025, 10:36:50 PM

https://apnews.com/article/argentina-milei-cryptocurrency-fraud-charges-c0321f320a00cdb58edfb365ba8ce0f8

Tsaka pansin niyo ba, puro meme coins lang naman madalas maging rugpull probably hindi renounced or team is holding too much, kung blue chips enjoyer ka hindi mo yun mapapansin kasi for sure, with utility or maganda use case habol mo or probably memecoin na nasa cex na kasi maganda na yung allocation (no team holds). Ganon lang naman yun.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you consider what you gamble an expense or investment? on: March 24, 2025, 10:11:47 PM
Let me ask you something, I’d like to know how you treat the money you use for gambling. Do you consider it an expense or an investment? These two should be approached very differently. Just like in business, expenses don’t generate income, while investments are meant to grow. What do you think? Please explain your answer as well.
Gambling isn't really an investment tbh especially in a game where you are clueless of the result or maybe relying too much on luck. It's far from investment but if you're talking about a real investment especially in crypto, there is a risk, but it's not a gambling because there is certain assurance that you can win due to analyzing charts and such. I think this statement is being formulated because of gambling and crypto as a topic but yeah, like what I've said, it's far from it. Gambling is really different, you can instantly lose a lot of money because you're clueless to it and no idea how things work.

It's an expense. Nothing else.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Were your parents for or against gambling? How did you start gambling? on: March 24, 2025, 08:50:56 PM
I'm very curious to know of all the folks in here that gamble, did your parents gamble when you were growing up and is that the reason that you gamble as well? Or is the very reason that you gamble was because your parents shunned it? I feel like this could go either way. It could also be a neutral stance.

For the folks whose parents didn't have anything to do with it when did you start gambling and why? Do you have anything or any memories you'd like to share of past gambling experiences? Would love to hear
My father gambles but he always remind me that gambling isn't for kids during that time, I grew up without having interest on gambling. I gamble but casual only and just do this for fun. I'm not like other people who gambles a lot and believes that there will be consistent profit on gambling. I'm lucky enough that I've grew in that way, I learned at the beginning and become a responsible adult in gambling.

It's kinda effective to teach someone about gambling, explaining the risk and the consequences of gambling. Don't let other people become addicted to it because their mindset is all about money and profit.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Isn't it kind of stupid to pay taxes on gambling winnings? on: March 23, 2025, 11:53:54 PM
I was just thinking, sometimes we win, but overall, we still lose more in gambling. I don’t consistently keep track of my gambling history, but the site I’m using now provides a monthly profitability record. I wasn’t surprised to see that I’m not profitable. So what if one day I win a big amount, something that would actually feel satisfying as a gambler, but overall, it still wouldn’t offset all my losses?

Then there’s a law saying gambling winnings should be taxed? I don’t think I’d willingly pay, unless the casino itself withholds the taxes, in which case, I wouldn’t have a choice.
AFAIK, these taxes are paid if you've won a specific large amount of money. If it's only a small amount, they won’t require you to pay taxes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, this is the reality of gambling, that sometimes winning here isn't really fulfilling. Imagine that the house always win and after that there are some certain payments to be made so you can withdraw the money without any issues. It feels unfair especially if you're just a small fish in this industry. Imagine sometimes in order to withdraw the money, there are certain amount of money or threshold before withdrawing. Sometimes they require you some unnecessary KYC before withdrawing.

yes... this is gambling life...
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your biggest regret when you are chasing your losses... on: March 23, 2025, 11:03:13 PM
I think all of us as gamblers have experienced losing control at some point. It usually leads to chasing losses, which turns into blind betting....a dangerous cycle. In my experience, whenever I’ve chased my losses, I’ve ended up losing more than I can afford to lose, and most of the time, the outcome is not good.

So how about you? What’s your biggest regret when it comes to chasing losses?

1) Can you name a specific situation where you chased your losses?
2) Were you playing online or offline?
3) How much did you lose?
4) And what did you do after that?
1. Chasing losses can lead you to a more problem, that's what I've realized when I tried gambling and hoping to have a comeback because during that time, I believe on some luck-based thinking that I haven't still used my luck so it might happen any sooner. So yeah, worst case is it make my problem bigger.

2. I'm more on online thing, I don't do offline or actual casino because I don't bring money all the time. I'm a cashless person.

3. Don't want to disclose it but it's huge amount of money that can be a budget for living in a month already.

4. Move on and tried to grind more in other ways so I can retrieve the losses and of course I learned,
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much can you prevent addiction? on: March 23, 2025, 10:16:17 PM
people often talk about ways to prevent and stop addiction to gambling but how much is actually in our control? we know that addiction is caused by chemicals in our brain making us more tolerant to certain stimulants which raises our desire to be stimulated more

we can try and gamble responsibly and have a very strong self control but when it is the chemicals in our brain that does the work how much of the addiction can we prevent? can we train our brain to never get addicted or is it almost inevitable?
Well, there are study already regarding about making yourself control again after getting addicted to something. How? fix yourselves first, having a discipline or setting limits on what you're doing can avoid addiction. You need to have a good behavior first so you can get out of it.

Some scientific things in our brain happens when getting addicted that's why we continue to gamble even we're on worst situations.

For some it's gonna be hard battle, you need assistance from other people to maintain a good and healthy behavior but sometimes, a disciplined person can control their selves and avoid it instantly, easier to resist.

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and gambling on: March 21, 2025, 11:38:06 PM
Sometimes I think luck is a place of mental peace because when we lose most of the time we blame luck similarly if we win, it is because of luck (in most time betting /gambling). In fact  what should your own feeling be? This question may seem to most of us gamblers that if an experienced gambler loses the same way, then how is it possible to identify the main algorithm of gambling?

I think the answer to this question may be easy or it may be very difficult, but the secret between us continuing to gamble and winning or losing is a manifestation of the latent state between the developer and gamblers like us, winning or losing.
yeahh. It's like, when we lose, we always blame luck, we are not lucky and then even when we win, we still believe it's due to luck.

But the thing is, it's all just about how we feel at the moment, it's both chance and experience. Even gamblers with a lot of experiences in gambling can lose the same way, and can't even determine the algorithm behind it. IMO, whatever the outcome is, whether we win or lose, it's just like a game between us and the system, the developers know the odds, and we're in their zone.

Ohh and I remember that there are some peeps out there offering some odds adjustments, but the condition is to promote the gambling platform, it's kinda unfair right? That's why I prefer sports betting.
