2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff's Bitcoin wallet mystery is solved on: January 24, 2020, 06:56:59 PM
I'm right, it's just an act of losing a wallet even he didn't really lose it. His statements change when people bash him due to his dumb statements toward Bitcoin.

It's very impossible to lose the wallet instantly, imagine you own a huge amount of bitcoin but doesn't secure your wallet?
He just wanted attention, that's all.

..And I doubt he really lost his keys on his wallet, IMO he's also gaining benefits on using BTC and at the same time, he's an anti-BTC for promoting his own Ponzi. It's just an act, my fellow friends.
It's good news that this issue was already solved, I'm just waiting for CSW issue on Feb.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value starts with people's attention? or with its technology? on: January 24, 2020, 06:49:39 PM
I think there have been many times in the history of Bitcoin the value has soared, so a lot of investors have started to pay attention to it, it just keeps going on getting more and more investors, the volume of Bitcoin's transaction has also increased many times, I think of this market as a financial playground rather than paying attention to its technology
It is people’s attention that results in the increase of Bitcoin price. In the next step, increased price gain attention of more people. So, it is a two way process and both equally support each other. But the underlying major support is the technology itself as it is because of the technology that we are attracted toward it and this leads to more transactions that increase the price of Bitcoin.
No, people's attention didn't increase the BTC price, the users and investors of it are the one who made changes. Whales also made their step on making a change on BTC price. So once they made an increase, it will attract those people to invest in BTC also and they will use those people to benefit on their own. Most of the people are only focused on the price not in the technology, even in here, there are many people who still not care about technology but have a lot of investments.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for BTC to be the world currency? on: January 24, 2020, 06:45:51 PM
Yes, the potential of BTC and it's technology is very huge. It's a powerful tool that's being used by some of us for the development of certain things. If the government adopted the benefits of the BTC, then it's possible to make it as a world currency but if it's not and they use it just for personal desires, then it is just useless.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. If i have $10000 for investing, how much should i invest in Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2020, 03:09:25 PM
I am thinking of 30% in stock, 30% in fund, 40% in Bitcoin.

How about this ratio? Any thought?
4000$ is not bad. Once Bull run happened this year 2020, you're lucky.

I think the ratio is enough, stocks are also good and can give you more profit if the bull run doesn't happen this year, but most of the people said there's a chance. What do you mean by funds? Is it for personal things? Try to make it 25% only.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling milk tea for Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 02:45:06 PM
You're from the Philippines, right? Please consider this.

Well, it's a great start to promote bitcoin in our country but I guessed it will be just an intro. People will still use the common payment, even GCASH and PayMaya method are barely used in restaurants here even in Ayala Makati. What more in BTC where you need to buy it on legit platforms like coins.ph just to buy milk tea?

I guess it'll be a waste of effort but still a good idea. Think about coins.ph, they require validation so you can cash in and out money, it'll be more hassle for them just to buy a simple milk tea that costs less than 2-3$. This is just my opinion 'cause I knew that Filipinos are very practical and don't want to have complex situations so it'll be hard to adapt.

Yes it is all about combining traditional with the modern way of accepting payments.

By the way, this is how our milk tea stand looks like to be transferred to the mall when everything’s ready:
Nice, if you guys really accept BTC, it's better to emphasize it on the cart.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why does having a LinkedIn profile mean you're legit? on: January 22, 2020, 05:56:01 PM
What do you just think and how do you guys verify someone is legit, say if you want to collaborate/invest in their project?
It's different for every individual. Checking if the information provided in the profile is true is probably the first step.
Not just any single information, it must be accurate and legit. Sometimes, they're just using other pictures, information and people to fake their projects. It's the hardest part of trusting a project, the first step 'cause you need to check all of the social media accounts to count it as a proof or assurance for participating in that project. You can also check the contact details to verify the legitimacy of their project. There are many ways but still, it will not give you 100% assurance that they're legit.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!! Disaster for BitCoin... Who Stole all of PETER SCHIFF's Bitcoins ??? on: January 22, 2020, 05:48:45 PM
Long story short, he did not back up his seed so he lost access to his Bitcoins.
I am backing up my seed here so that I do not lose access to my BitCoins also !!!
~
Is that yours? Nice, for disclosing it in the public.

Theft? no one did ever stole his bitcoins. He forgot the wallet password and that's why he's ranting on the web again attacking bitcoin because of his negligence. There's no other people to blame with his act but himself, he can't admit the fact that he didn't back up his wallet password and it is his fault.
True. We are the one who is responsible for every actions that we take so what happened to him proves how careless he is. As the owner of his account, he have to be careful in order to avoid those things like what happend to him. And also he is against to the bitcoin. Maybe he didnt truly lost his coins or forgot his password but he just wanted for the people to have a negative impression for the bitcoin and the virtual wallet he is using.
It's his problem of forgetting the important detail of his account that contains his bitcoin asset. There is a chance that he's just also playing out just like the first people that flamed bitcoin with bad words but turns out suddenly that they are also bitcoin lover.
He just wanted attention, that's all.

..And I doubt he really lost his keys on his wallet, IMO he's also gaining benefits on using BTC and at the same time, he's an anti-BTC for promoting his own Ponzi. It's just an act, my fellow friends.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value starts with people's attention? or with its technology? on: January 22, 2020, 05:41:56 PM
I think both.  Cheesy

Bitcoin has different advantages in different aspects so I can say it's a very interesting asset in the future. The technology behind it which is blockchain technology also has a great effect on society once it's used and implemented in different categories development.

We knew the potential of BTC and blockchain is very huge so I wouldn't doubt if we will use it as a tool for modernization of the world.
10  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Password changed/Woke up.

Just be alertive nalang sa mga taong lumalapit sa inyo, there is a chance na baka scammer siya kahit 50% below chance rate.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why does having a LinkedIn profile mean you're legit? on: January 22, 2020, 03:54:46 PM
It's easy to create LinkedIn or any site that are existing and we all know that we shouldn't trust people based on this kind of platforms especially on the SocMed platforms.

Okay, if they have many followers or have a lot of activities on that platform, you can still build their credibility on LinkedIn. Even known personalities in social media have the ability to fool or scam people with their online reputation.

Anyways, IMO you're in the wrong discussion board.
12  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pilipinas Bitcointalk Org Shirt on: January 21, 2020, 05:51:31 PM

13  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Off-Topics] Pilipinas on: January 21, 2020, 05:46:05 PM
 https://news.mb.com.ph/2020/01/20/is-he-god-talisay-vice-mayor-questions-phivolcs-recommendation-for-continued-evacuation/

Science or observation. Backed by science ang Phivolcs e. Kaya dapat di na nya inooppose. Kase delikado parin kase especially yung sa may ashes. Daming nagkakaroon ng sakit dun. Look at this arial view of taal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb5b--YPF8Y. IDK what's next.
We can't easily predict upcoming calamaties kaya nga lahat tayo nabigla sa pagputok ng bulkan.

Actually namamaga ang bulkang taal at anytime pwede itong sumabog, It's a prediction from PHIVOLCS, kung Alert Level 2 nga sumabog na, what more sa Level 4.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we now confirm that he's Faketoshi.? on: January 21, 2020, 05:39:26 PM
I just pray he get long sentence for all this so that everyone will understand reason why it is not good to always take everyone for fool. All what this mean to him is just a game that he wanna play around
CSW thought this game was very simple, that's why he came to the court with shit evidence. Until now, he's still claiming without any valid proof to be Satoshi and already receiving karma by proclaiming him as faketoshi and the number one fraud of BTC community. I bet even he receives punishment, he will just bail and not stop to prove to the public that he's satoshi as long as the real satoshi wasn't showing up.

This guy is unstoppable, he already got the money since he's a CEO, and he's the guy that will bet everything just to get the title of Satoshi Nakamoto.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!! Disaster for BitCoin... Who Stole all of PETER SCHIFF's Bitcoins ??? on: January 21, 2020, 05:32:12 PM
where's the hard fact there?

Peter Schiff's Bitcoins wasn't stolen and he already admitted that he lost his keys to access the bitcoins. IMO, this guy is a fraud, how will you lost access easily on his BTC. He is claiming that his wallet is being corrupted and stating his password is already not valid, that's the first time I hear those kinds of excuses on losing BTC. Probably he just wants to give negative thoughts on BTC to the public or just wanted public attention.
Most of the people think PS is just an anti-Bitcoin and probably it's true.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff Lost His Bitcoin on: January 21, 2020, 05:22:24 PM
... and to be honest I don't really care if this Peter Schiff lost his amount of Bitcoin or not, it does not even matter, and this information will never help me.
I guess you're right, most of the topics here are already focused on a popular person. The OP asked on our thoughts on this common-sense situation, how will you react if someone lost huge money? a simple question with a basic answer right.

People nowadays are getting too much attention, If someone tweeted, it's already here in BTC discussion, every individual is important are always in this discussion as if it helps the growth of BTC in 2020. And btw, Peter Schiff will always take an opportunity to spit non-sense on the public, I'm tired of people like that.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: From being a shitposter before now almost there![Hero Rank] on: January 20, 2020, 05:34:52 PM
Congratulations OP, May 20, 2020, is your special day. Good luck.
TMAN is a legendary meriter for good posters. Good posters don't complain on what TMAN does but shit posters do, and that reality is not too difficult to understand. I congratulate the OP for his newest rank, Hero Member.
I knew TMAN is doing that since the introduction of the merit system. He really motivates and supports all of the quality posters out there, so I can't agree with those people who think TMAN is bias on giving merits.

..and besides, giving merits depend on your own thoughts, not to the others.
18  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pilipinas Bitcointalk Org Shirt on: January 20, 2020, 05:26:48 PM

Any plans in making this a reality? Well, makakapaghintay naman po. Smiley
Since mukhang hindi pa, I'll try to make a design, nagbabakasakali lang. Gonna send it here, probably bukas ng gabi, kung gusto niyo lang naman.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth? on: January 20, 2020, 05:21:07 PM
Why would you choose Bluetooth if you can transfer it using the hotspot network of your phone?
Wi-Fi technology is always there even streets in your hood already have public Wi-Fi. It's better to send your Bitcoins through it than using Bluetooth, we all know that BT has a very slow speed transfer.

IMO, BT is also not safe, you must pair to the other device and both of you have access already on his/her files especially bitcoin so this will not guarantee your security of the transaction. Also, there are many keyloggers that might affect your device to hijack or access your BTC.

You're already lucky 'cause you've been accepted on this opportunity so just calm, are you here in this platform for the bounty only?
They will give it to you as soon as possible.

Also, I can't agree with that statement of yours. How can you say you did well in group A than the others? You have just joined this campaign recently so basically they will prioritize those who contributed on the platform since day one.  Wink
