Is there any RPC on this coin ? Something like getwork or getblocktemplate ?
I'm in development... please be patient and mine ;-) I'm not so into wallet mining, I like pool mining Well, for now CPU mining only, or download source code and make changes yourself... of course.

Hi.
I need support about some technical questions for an Alt coin, I don't know if this thread is only for bitcoin... sorry
What I need: I recently created PascalCoin using Pascal language. I want to know some technical questions about creating a RPC and how a GPU minner will interact with server/application to mine. Also I'm searching for source code of a GPU miner to case study.
Where can I find information?
Thanks.

any good node we could add preventing from being disconnected ?
mine is saying "connections:2(91)", so i take it theres 91 people there but i can only connect to 2 people. hopefully when the update comes out it will fix the issue of connection :-) Not exactly... Not 91 people, only 91 connections (1 people can have more than 1 connection)

hey i spotted pascal coin, seems interesting it work in a different way and i guess different algo, the source is already available but there is no exchange yet for it
What a cryptocurrency needs to be available to exchange? (Where can I find technical/teorical details?) Note that main topic thread for PascalCoin is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1583719.msg15903137#msg15903137Thanks

im having connection issues since the very beginning ... i could not even connect to network I'm working in it... I think that new build version will correct those problems... Please wait 1 or 2 days... I will notify new build version in this Forum.

What does the "R" stand for in: Mining Status: x miners at xxx kh/s (R: xxxxG) ?
R: xxxxG is counter of how many times tried to generate a PoW (and "G" equals to Giga, so multiply by 1000000) from started mining with the Application.

If you ask people to post insubstantial posts in your thread (like public keys), or offer giveaways for posts you could get banned, and this thread might get locked.
This warning is sticked at the top of this board, and also at the top of the altcoin discussion board.
Ups. I understand. Sorry. No more exercises here...

Exercise:
I will write a Pascal Coin Private key with a password. This Private key contains 5 accounts, and also 100.0000 Pascal Coins.
The game consists in Import this private key to your Wallet, find valid password and you will win 5 accounts and 100.0000 Pascal Coins.
Note for the winner: I recommend to change accounts private key for a new one after found password ;-)
Do you want to play?
Which is the password? (Note... is very simple, has no spaces and is written in CamelCase )
Encrypted Private key ready to import: 53616C7465645F5FDF79C8D17747B0B294F8481AF7B17FAE20F7FE687397C8B3B5CFE4C7AF2A0E0 3FDAB0D849C8E49A26420B87E86CAF643265ED718E22150FC8CFFC67BAB49D8A35613EA6EA96177 3EDD1C75A72634770FF0254DFFED1F0173
Have a nice day!
Hi dev, thanks for exercise and 100k coins [I've already changed passwd ;-)] My public key for Exercise 2 >> 3GhhboqM8RMfs2eXRzf9yx5jbgxejT166K5HP9qvRi1FXbsV9Q1yoK8reD5M9JvEnrjs6iwbuAhp8FU NeSM2PdNJZUnAo9mqcE6VDA Looking forward to another exercises On another note - I thought nobody codes in Pascal anymore these days, but I 've loved that language back in the days - it was actually my first serious language I was learning. My respect for coding virtual currency in it! Oh, and I really want to study that whitepaper - I see you've put a lot of work in it - but Google translation is not good in some parts - would you be able to give it to someone that can do catalan->english corrections ? Thanks. And let me wish you all the best for PascalCoin future development! Sooooo what was the password ? Obvious: PascalCoin

Hi. I'm only a developer, doing hard work to create a new cryptocurrency with some interesting news. First block started 3 weks ago. (Please, foollow technical thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1604310.msg16105381#msg16105381 ) I don't know how trading/exchanges works, what to do, API requeriments... Somebody can help me? Also... searching for developers to help me ;-) Thanks!

For a GPU miner, the main thing required is some RPC access (even a simple getwork-ish method), then writing external optimized CPU/GPU miners will be a lot easier.
Sorry... I don't know how GPU works... If there is a developer with knwoledge about this I will appreciate any help.

Took a quick peek at your source code, I see: FStreamPoW.WriteBuffer(FDigest_Basic[1],length(FDigest_Basic)); FStreamPoW.WriteBuffer(FDigest_Operations[1],length(FDigest_Operations)); FStreamPoW.Write(FOperationBlock.timestamp,4); FStreamPoW.Write(FOperationBlock.nonce,4);
That's 72 bytes of data being hashed, correct? I believe most ASICs are specifically optimized to hash exactly 80 bytes of data (and furthermore, to increment the last 4 bytes of those 80 bytes when incrementing the nonce), so there's a good chance that they wouldn't be able to hash any less. For a GPU miner, the main thing required is some RPC access (even a simple getwork-ish method), then writing external optimized CPU/GPU miners will be a lot easier. Not correct Digest_Basic contains a variable size, because it includes Public key (that can be from 66 to +200 bytes) and Payload (max 255 bytes). So digest_basic can contains from +-80 to +-450 bytes Digest_Operations is static size, contains operations hash and fee Finally 4 bytes for timestamp and 4 for nonce. Total can be from +-110 bytes to +500 bytes to sha256d

Well if the algo is SHA256D ASICS would take over the coin very quickly if it catches some value.
Note that PoW is calculated using SHA256D over a stream with different size of BitCoin, all is new because I've made a new fully development in Pascal. I don't know if actual ASICS can work over PascalCoin... perhaps not. But, of course, if this happens, I'll be very very very happy!
|
|
|
Is PascalCoin only CPU minable at this point? what algo to you use for the POW?
Algo is Double Sha256 For now is only CPU minable due it's written in Pascal and no code in pascal available for GPU mining. But, of course, is source code and somebody (not me) can develop a GPU miner... please if somebody do this... publish code.

Do you know any exchange service that can exchange them for dollars? I just need to know before jumping around Just wait 4 years ... or 40 ;-)

Exercise 2:
Go to your private keys form, then select 1 private key (for example, a new private key) and click "Export public key"
This will copy to your clipboard a text like this: JJj2GZDcygFdtnNTibpMEowjNQQR6PdBp8dNE5vjbzsyMK6rMxccrGNFMRE2jcUaW1MFJkspWqrY696 Tor9xHXf2xnqx4SCMWJjzoegabDrqNUWZUMAfxTCKj4Zkk3mx5Qqf8B19U8AqZqZt1fFv4KshNJa7uN nmTp88ocooGmNZLm2y4ki3ShBSrCyiTFWK4
Paste this text in a reply and I'll transfer an account to your public key, so after included in the blockchain, you will be the owner of this account.
This is the "Transfer account to a new owner" operation
Have a nice day!

I am the only one not able to connect anymore ? Thx
If there are others, you are certainly the most vocal. Have you forwarded your port? Lol ! I'm back at being connected and mining. Port 4004 is active Still haven't found why I mined 2 blocks and see only 1 transaction and 100 coins... Possible explanations: - Your miner found a block, but when checked it block was invalid - Your miner found a valid block, but when transfered to other nodes found a valid block more valid (found before) than itself... so not included to the blockchain - Your miner found a block but was saved in an orphan chain... losed. Note that there is a protection of 100 maturation blocks to prevent operate with blocks due possible situations like this
