Find me a MW coin without dev penalty, that is decentralized and hasn’t fucked up the economics, and you will have my attention
Are people still fucking drooling over Mumble Wimble grin shit? I never understood why everyone had such a boner over it, no hardware wallet support, no gui wallet, pain to fucking actually use the damn thing.

"use" and "altcoin" do not go together.    Cheesy
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 27, 2019, 07:34:24 AM
I know bitcoin, and you, litecoin are no bitcoin.   Tongue

Of course A is not equal to B, but they do share similarities in protocol design and proposed use/implementation.

I'd be very interested to hear your take on the differences between litecoin and bitcoin, jiggy.

Just like you really don't give any shits about what I think about litecoin, I don't give any shits about such topic.

I'm beginning to lose my patience with you, jiggy; are you able to have a rational, back and forth discussion without immediately going on the defensive and resorting to inflammatory accusations?

Stop proclaiming that you're the arbiter of my intentions, you aren't.

First of all, you already failed and refused to engage in genuine responses (rather than poo pooing like a typical troll/shill no coiner) regarding your previous quasi-irrelevant dumbass no coiner / bitcoin naysaying points that I already responded to.. and further,  this is not a thread to compare and contrast various shit coins.  Helrow?

Refuse to engage or respond? I'm on mobile most of the time, which makes it difficult to format long posts and reply to multiple users.

With regard to our previous discussion, I was asking questions while you would answer; you never actually responded by asking me any specific questions of your own.

If you would like me to answer some specific questions or provide information of some kind, please, ask away!

But if you consider the one aspect of bitcoin that you proclaim to NOT accept or understand, you might want to look into network effects, but no, you claim to not understand or believe that such network effects are important in the discussion,

Incorrect, as I specifically acknowledged the network effect and first mover advantage that bitcoin has, in my previous posts.

instead you want to get caught up in distracting discussions about slight technical differences that may or may not exist

Protocol differences between projects definitely exist, you should be aware of this.

and in the end don't even matter in the scheme of things.. because bitcoin is not broken, so you have to overcome that presumption of brokenness first,

I never claimed the bitcoin was broken in any way, you're simply being disingenuous.

and you also have to show that your shitty ass project that you want to tout, whether litecoin or some other random project, whatever it is has sufficiently overcome whatever supposedly broken part of bitcoin that it is going to matter, instead of just being possibly absorbed into bitcoin as a tweak.

I'm not touting anything, I'm asking basic questions about the differences in protocol between projects.

Specifically, I've asked what makes bitcoin "better" or "best".
If your answer to this question is "it's more popular and it got there first", that's fine.

after 10 years of uptime, uncontested superioirity amongst all other "projects" aka shitcoins, various attacks from within the community (forks) after a full blown civil war, you really think we sit here and wait for guys like you to show up and compare bitcoin vs obvious scamcoins as to vanilla vs chocolate flavour and gladly engage in a discussion about this stupidity?

we do not need to proof to you why bitcoin rules. it does rule and if you think other projects are better you could either fuck off and post in those specific forums with people that also don´t get it, or you could carefully and nicely explain your reasoning and hope anyone in here would take the time and listen and give feedback (which i doubt).

but moving in here and asking questions the 1000th time that we all went though years ago while keeping your nose up as if you know what you are talking about...  ...will not convince anyone in here.  learn about bitcoin and come back afterwards.

wir müssen uns keine sorgen machen wegen zukünftiger bitcoin kurse. die zentralbanken unterstützen unseren lieblingscoin so gut sie können:

https://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/unternehmen/ezb-mario-draghi-erwaegt-neue-geldflut-im-november-a-1278114.html

Quote

The Feds Will Kill Bitcoin via Regulation
We’ve seen this before.

In 2011, the online poker world was rocked when the DOJ indicted executives of the biggest poker sites, seized the websites and froze player accounts.  It also turned out Full Tilt Poker was a Ponzi scheme in which only $60 million was available yet players had $390 million owed to them.

"U.S. bans bitcoin" FUD sollte eigentlich für eine 40% korrektur genügen. "china bans bitcoin" FUD hat das sogar mehrfach geschafft.

denke wir werden die 12k € preise erst wieder im oktober oder november sehen. mein best-case scenario anfang dieses jahres lag bei knapp unter $6k bis zum ende des jahres, also alles gut Cheesy

72  Economy / Speculation / Re: This bitcoin news writer wants bitcoin price down on: July 16, 2019, 05:32:58 PM
I reckon this might imply that there are whales who want to create fear to cause bitcoin to fall so they can buy or they are in a short position.

In any case, why this sudden sentiment from a bitcoin news journalist? Did JP Morgan pay for this article hehehe?

Barack Obama’s administration hated payday lenders, gun dealers, and pornography operators. So they attempted to shut those businesses down by choking off their access to the financial system. The FDIC threatened banks with fines and litigation unless they refused their business, while ACH houses that facilitated online payday loan transfers were shut down.

Make no mistake. The federal government wants bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies dead.

They will choke the life out of them through regulation.

Naturally, foolish bitcoin traders rushed into bitcoin and sent its value higher because they don’t really understand what Steven Mnuchin said. Now they do.

i was really starting to get concerned about this correction not being accompanied by really scary FUD. it used to be "china bans bitcoin" and now it is "trump will kill bitcoin". a deep correction with no AAA grade FUD would scare the shit out of me. now i feel much better.

the china FUD worked for years and created lots of 40% corrections. price may go down to low $8ks. this is regular bitcoin price action and it will shake the weak hands.

trump will not try to kill bitcoin. think of him what you want, but he is not that stupid. the message is clear: u.s.gov does not want big tech to become global banking players.

long term btc hodlers not affected.

The uncut video of the debate between Nouriel Roubini and Arthur Hayes had just been released

Quote
Alright, we had our fun trolling. Special thanks to @Nouriel for nailing his part by melting down over this past week. We couldn't have scripted it better.

Here's the full uncut debate with @CryptoHayes vs @Nouriel with @afneil as referee:

https://youtu.be/qlZukhN_C6c

https://twitter.com/BitMEXdotcom/status/1150769787435397127

I dunno, the Roubini guy seems like he'd be a powerful crypto booster if he ever gets to the point that he understands the technological impact of blockchain, whereas the Hayes guy seems kind of like a used car salesman. I don't share Roubini's pessimistic view of crypto (obviously) but it seems kind of stupid to dismiss his words out of hand, the man has spent his life studying markets.

tech impact of blockchain?? so far i have seen only a scam impact both ways (shitcoins and "blockchain-not-bitcoin" scams). the only tech a blockchain seems useful is money = bitcoin. this nouriel guy is a bitcoin hater from day one. waste of time imho.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 14, 2019, 09:24:34 PM
in june 2011 btc peaked around $30. it went down 90% to $2 in november 2011. then it almost quadrupled to $7,30 in january 2012, creating a lower high in regard to the $30 peak. by end of january 2012 it had a 50% correction all the way down to $3,70

it went parabolic again in june/july 2012 and made a peak at $16,40 by august 2012 (4x but still lower high in regard to ath) only to crash down to $7 (more than 50% correction) then it climbed back to $13, but that took the rest of 2012.

it went parabolic again in january 2013, took the old ath in february and went all the way to $260 until april 2013.

the bull run from $3200 to $13800 was normal behavior. if we have a 40% correction down to $8200 it will be normal behavior. painting a lower high regarding 2017 ath is normal behavior.

if it plays out like it did in the examples i gave, it will take until end of this year to climb back to $13800.

sit back and relax, enjoy the show. i am not the least bit concerned about bitcoins status as the best investment opportunity in the history of finance. it will stay that way. hodlers will be rewarded. weak hands will get punished hard.

extra bonus this time around is the collapse of the shitcoins. let the scamcoin fucktards wait for the "altcoin season" until they are broke.

june 2011: peak $30
nov. 2011: $2
jan.  2012: $7,30
feb.  2012: $3,70
aug. 2012: $16,40
aug. 2012: $7
jan.  2013: $13

Sold 90%, I hope it's the correct choice.  I can't see it hitting over 12500 again in July at the very least.  The traders on trading view mainly suggesting drops to mid 10's 9's or 8's this month before a temporary pullback.  Could be a bad week from here on in.

bold selling 90% in the midst of a major bull run. it could hit 12500 maybe even today or tomorrow.

Don’t you just love it when people sell way too early & potentially ruin their lives yet they just can’t stay away from this thread & predicting imminent, ridiculously low prices.

 Cool

have seen this so many times. it is weird. same with scamcoin fanboiz, they keep coming back here. or the worst: btrash/bsv shills. (which of course are also scamcoins). I wonder if any psychologist will come up with a name for this behavior like "stockholm syndrome"

"I ruined myself financially but i surely kicked some butt on the interwebs"

those guys have no pride.
