well, if you just look at the bitcoin price and the amount mined in that time, you get double the amount of bitcoins back for every bitcoin paid. and imho the difficulty increase of 1.5% per day is too much. i don't believe most people are willing to go for an arms race with asic miners, so pretty much only asicminer will increase steadily to hold it's percentage.
The calculation is pessimistic (1.5% diff inc.), so it's the worst case scenario. As I'm reading the forums, tons of ASICs are coming in the next 6 months: BKK, BFL, Burnin, Avalon sold at least 200k chips, thats why I calculated with 1.5%. So it's making me nuts, hard to decide to spend 4k on this or not.  |

I punched in some numbers for the Jupiter and depending on delivery date... scarily enough, didn't even break even on Coinish's calculator. I threw in the 10% fee to approximate hosting + pool fee: http://imgur.com/p5YrFkYI suspect the 1.3% difficulty increase per day may not be sustainable... Anyone have any thoughts on this? Well I dont know how Coninsh is calculating, but its wrong imho. I calculated this: A 200 GH unit arrives on 1st of October, and you mine with it until 30th of June, 2014 with an estimated 1.5% difficulty increase per day. Difficulty will be 86,478,334 when you start mining! Thats only 1.1631 BTC / day with 200 GH. At the end, difficulty is 4,745,398,413 with an estimated 0,0212 BTC / day. Overall: 77,2888 BTC. USD / BTC rate can't be predicted, so just stick to BTC earnings. Is it worth to buy or not?  If BTC rises to 1000$, then yes... Opinions? The units don't exist yet, so there won't be a picture of them. They won't be completed until (mid-late) September. I placed another order last night and the order number was in the 2900's, the last update I remember seeing from KnC was that orders back in the 2500's were due to be shipped in October. This makes me hopeful that orders placed now will still be shipped in October as well. Only time will tell. I see. Thanks for the info. If half of those orders are real, this is a huge hashrate increase. It seems I dont have an option, have to order mine. |

None of us know anything. You trust in them which is nice to see though.
Thats the point. Every new coin nowadays worths as much as the ppl trust in it. I like what I have seen so far from the devs. More apps and sites coming soon, they are doing great job. Do you remember LTC from last year?... So its worth to be patient. I bought lots of other coins, however my budget is not so big. Some of them plunged, some of them are still alive. I treat all of this crypto-something as a long term investment. |

Wow, so the premined coins are still 39% of the total?  Is there a tally somewhere of how these were spent/are earmarked to benefit the project? You are not so good at math... 51329 * 50 = 2,566,450 >> 1,52% of 168,000,000 coins.  You are not so good at reading...  TsuyokuNaritai's point was that PXC premined 1million coins, which is 39% of 2,566,450 Total coins versus currently mined. OMG. Learn to understand what you read. Is there anything in that question pointing the 1 million premine? NO. I want to know to work out the market cap.And no offense. He wasn't answering to your post, this isn't your thread. He made a statement/asked his own question. A valid question. Here is the answer then. Took me 2 mins to search it.
