141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] lolMiner-mnx, Mining MinexCoin(MNX) with GPUs on Windows & Linux on: February 13, 2018, 03:25:53 PM
Although i noticed that when i run more than 4 gpus i have to drop the OC a lot for last 2 gpus because it drops core if OC is same as other cards. When I stop 1 card and try again then it starts mining with the card that dropped core.

Update: Now the last gpu (segmentation fault (core dumped) with no OC.

Update 2: Tried again with no OC and started mining. Im not sure whats going on Cheesy

Some feedback for updated miner:

So far pretty stable. Been running 25 min for now no crashes but lets see if it stays alive for 24h.

6x 1070ti 0-4 gpu OC core: +150 mem: +550. gpu 4 oc core: +50 mem : +500.  gpu 5 oc core: 0 mem: +400 Powerlimit: 95w

Speeds are around 13k-13k5 Sols so big upgrade from optiminer and now all gpus mine with same speeds and no hashrate drops.

Edit: Running  on Ubuntu 16.04

Looks like someone created miner for Windows. Can someone check it please? Is it 100% legit and workfull? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2933939.0

Its legit. Only dev-fee is enormous and its in beta stage so its unstable and you cant run multiple gpus right now. ( You can but they crash and every new instance drops hashrate).

With an i5-4690k , more than 3 instances of the miner with 1060s, the hashrate of every instance falls dramatically

Can you put a parameter on miner to set -cl-local-work?

Perhaps the solution another miner developer adopted may be useful to you

He made a opencl miner that eat all cpu available, and the more gpus working, less performance for each one

There is an issue with NVIDIA GPUs leading to very high CPU usage. The reason is improper implementation of OpenCL by NVIDIA. When CPU thread waits for results from GPU, it does not stop, it spins in loop eating CPU resources for nothing.
There was impemented a workaround on this issue: before reading results from GPU current thread sleeps during small calculated time.

He resolved it and the miner is more stable and a lot faster.

I have G4400 and my hashrate started dropping when i started second instance.

Dev-fee is too high and we are missing CUDA optimized miner. We already have OpenCL miner. So I suggest you lower the dev-fee and make a CUDA version.

Well technically OpenCL is not necessarily slower than CUDA. Usually is is only that most OpenCL codes are optimized for AMD and the OpenCL bindings of AMD are a bit more efficient. But generally I think improving the algorithms behind will bring more sol/s than changing to CUDA which would be a pain for me to learn Wink

By the way: my development and testing machines have Nvidia GPUs running under Linux. So the current version is rather optimized for NVidia. For AMD I only know that the miner works, but I am completely in the dark how fast it is. So at this time this is a Nvidia optimized software.

By the way: I will surely lower the fee to 1% in the future. But right now I just have to get a start Wink

Thanks for the miner, but i dont really get how to start a 6 gpu rig Smiley Your comment with platform is confusing, i dont understand it at all Smiley

Well you can have multiple drivers on your system, e.g. when you have graphic cards from multiple vendors in your rig. Then the OpenCL drivers are organized in platforms, so all cards belonging to the one vendor are in platform 0, all from the second in platform 1 and so on.

As for the device selection the devices are sorted by their platform.
Lets assume that you have all 6 GPUs from the same GPU Chip Vendor (AMD or Nvidia ... the concrete creator of the card (Gainward, MSI, ... ) do not matter). Then it is likely that you have only one platform on your machine that has index 0.
So you then can start the miner just 6 times, but with different device parameter:
--device 0
--device 1
...
--device 5

Then all cards should get utilized well.

Good to hear. I will test out the miner and check how much faster it is, if it is Cheesy

Edit: Tested the miner. If i run only 1 gpu then the speed is almost double of optiminer but when I run 6 GPUs hashrate drops quite alot and is slower than Optiminer. Also one GPU dropped core when I started miner (maybe picky gpu doesnt like same clocks as other cards.). Tested with 1070 ti-s.

base on the title minexcoin is the new era of payments. so are we expecting the minexmarket soon? is it already developing?

Hello

Team are planning that alpha version will launch in the third quarter of 2018.

Please, check:https://medium.com/minecoin-blog/mnx-upgrade-roadmap-2018-ed9b01c258cf
Thanks for the link. A very detailed and ambitious road map, the developers are good fellows. Cool I would very much like to see a mobile wallet.

Well you can wait for official one or use unofficial Electrum MNX mobile wallet until official one releases.

Please. Do not post so huge pictures to the thread.

He quoted the first post. I dont know why though.

nice to see price recovering

i would also vote for an "auto-re-park" option in minexbank, i like to park my coins on a weekly basis, and sometimes i forget and lose a day (ok it's not much), but still, i think that option is not bad

There wont be auto-park feature. Devs leave some responsibility to users. Also android app has notifications when parking finishes.

really? there's a notification if the parking is finished? i didn't notice that. is it automatic or we need to set it up first before we saw it.

Notification is automatic. As soon as parking finishes it is displayed.

Are you talking about the web interface of MinexBank or the mobile application? I only get the parking update rate change but not the parking notifications.

Mobile application has notifications when parking finishes.

I have a question, it is possible or planed that there is a possibility to park the coins for a quarter (3 months). 1 year is a long time and so you would not have to park again every month. especially if you have several you do not always have to look if it is ready now. Likewise, the coins would be bound for a longer period of time. I think it would be worth considering

Just park them each month. It only takes a minute.

Any estimates on CUDA kernel release?
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments on: January 30, 2018, 01:44:21 PM
Just going over the whitepaper once again I realized something:

The devs have already received 1,000,000 Minexcoins.  During the pump that was worth $60 million.  During this time its worth $20 Million.  We haven't seen any news from the team lately, no 2 week report this month.  I know they respond in this forum.  But $20 million is quite a successful business venture, perhaps they have been selling all their coins to us this last month and there is no project for the future.  I know its a very negative thought, but crypto, you never know.

Dude, you need to shill less. Minexcoin has the best and lightning fast support team. When I have a problem with something I get an anwser in less than an hour. You dont see this kind of commitment very often. Much less in crypto world where 98% of coins are pure s***. Also why would they release new features and gadgets when they are "exit scamming" (your words)?

Why is there no volume on this coin?  Interest in Minexcoin is nonexistent

No volume because most MNX owners are hodlers. Hence no coins in exchange but most in wallet.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments on: January 25, 2018, 08:05:23 PM
When will Minexcoin ICO start? Because now I'm waiting for LuckyToken ICO that will start in February
Minexcoin ICO has ended long time ago. I suggest you reconsider investing in mnx instead of some random token. Just my 2 cents.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments (Exchange launch - November, 1) on: January 22, 2018, 05:17:54 PM
Withdrawal fee on coinexchange.io is really 1 Minexcoin? That seems quite pricy in comparison to Livecoin where the fee is 0.001 MNX.

Are you sure you bought the right coin? There is a token called Minex in coinexchange.io so you have to watch what you buy. Minexcoin is MNX/BTC not MINEX.

If the project is forked off another coin, what is different and why the need for a new asset?
Fork provides new functions or changes. Some are for better some are not.

with 2rx 480 its says i can earn 0.003 mnx is this a normal thing ? cuz even with my shitty cpu i was getting 0.1 mnx

Thats because global hashrate is not 1-2 MH anymore. Its 40-42ish now.

Yes, no ETA on a new windows version.

I might release an linux image for AMD / Nvidia cards with preinstalled miner at some point to make it easier getting started for people that are not very used to Linux.
Any update on the Nvidia kernel rewrite?
+1

We need CUDA optimized release before Linux image Wink

+1 also. I need to decide what cards to get. If cuda optimization is in near future then i know what to get.
