The answer is there : diff 1000. That's why a lot of stales.
So version 1.6.9 is OK, but 1.7.2. - all stale. I don`t understand why. Other version dont check. 1.7.2 is also ok, but he should use a pool with higher diff, 1000 is insanely low for 6 gpu's, he finds a ton of shares, and when new job arrives, those shares are still sent to the pool and they are stales then. It can even happen that he gets rejects. Just use much higher difficulty port on that pool, or a vardiff port.

Does anyone know the details of how the .85% fee is collected? I looked through the logs and it was not clear to me. If I keep restarting the miner during a tweaking period... is it the first period of time that it collects, what about when it auto restart the miner because it detects a GPU failure... does it meter it's collection based on that in any way? I am sure there is a method (and it's OK for coders to get paid...), I just would like to know what it is. Thanks.
There is no fee mined in the first 5 minutes, so you can do the tweaking without paying every time the fee. On gpu failure miner restart or user kill/close miner process and start again, the fee timer is restarted.

Still looking into why my 8 GB card running slow than my 4 GB cards on CN-Lite V7.
4 GB runs around 2 khs 8 GB runs about 1.7 khs
I"ve tried alot of different combos with threads, worksizes and intensity... I went all the way up to 200 intensity with dual threads work size 8... Runs slower... I tried worksize 16, slow.... Seems like I top out at intensity of 130/8/2 at 1700.
Hey dok, got any input on this one? Is this only on 172 or on older versions also? On 172 Vegas have a lower hashrate on algos with <= 1mb scratchpad, i don't know about other cards, haven't tested. I won't be fixing this because algos with <= 1mb (mox, cn-lite, dark) will soon be out of date, mox will change algo, probably others too. If you want to mine these algos, use older version of SRB.

Did you clear the cache?
I’m not sure how to do that? The rig reboots each time it crashes so wouldn’t the cache be cleared anyway? I set it to mine Tritainium last night and even though it’s running double thread (even though is set it to false) the rig has run all night. Would still prefer to be able to turn the double threading off. Not had this problem with the other versions of this miner. Have you tried moving the intensity away from 0 ? 0 = auto settings, so it won't use any of the settings you set. [double_threads for example]

Hey Doc,
i have a quick Question about the Devfee.
I am currently testing the Cryptonight Profit Switcher, Version 6.0.0. The Profit Switching closes the Miner complete and restart it when a Algo/Coin Switch accure.
Question: What is is this case with the DevFee? Do i have to "pay" it with every new Miner Start or do you have done some Modifications for this case that it is stored that this Miner has already paid the Fee?
THX Oliver
If the app kills the miner, and starts it again then the devfee timer is reset. If you use a smart profit switcher which uses the stratum protocol to signal the miner there is an algo switch, then the devfee timer isn't reset, even if the miner restarts itself.

Hi, doktor83
I have Rx550 card gigabyte and Asus. On 1.6.8 version of miner i'm using "fragments" : 338033747 and about 520 H/s on v7 or stellite. But on version 1.7.2 if i set "fragments" : 33803374 then miner set 1. And perfomance about 500 H/s. If "fragments" : 9997 then speed 480 H/s. If "fragments" : 9998 then speed 500 H/s.
Is it possible to return old behaviour, and i can set "fragments" : 33803374 ?
no but you can set fragments to 9999 and it will use the 'old fashioned' way

Hi again doktor, I use srbminer from months with no problem in my 9 vega 64 rig. I use v1.6x - v1.7.0 weeks with no restart or hang. But version 1.7.2, after 8 hours or so hangs. In log i got this: https://justpaste.it/4rctvAny ideia what could be? Regards [2018-12-08 03:21:02] watchdog: GPU1 [BUS: 32] hashing speed is 0 H/S [2018-12-08 03:21:13] watchdog: GPU1 [BUS: 32] hashing speed is 0 H/S [2018-12-08 03:21:24] watchdog: GPU crash detected, miner will try to restart [2018-12-08 03:50:02] Startup monitor detected that GPU's could not be initialised in 120 seconds Looks like this gpu crashed so badly that even after miner restart it won't start , and it can't be initialised on miner startup. Set a watchdog script to restart whole machine on crash, then on windows start set miner to start auto.

I'm trying to use SRBMiner because I've heard good things about it. But whenever I try to install Adrenalin 18.6.1 for my Vega64 the install crashes.
While connecting the monitor to CPU integrated graphics, I've erased all drivers in the C:\AMD directory (except 18.6.1), DDU'd the system while in safe mode, disconnected from the internet, and tried the install. After clicking "Agree & Install", it circles for about 3 revolutions then crashes and reboots. Tried all sorts of shenanigans but couldn't get past that.
Any ideas please?!
Try without installing the software suite : when you reach the agree and install, just close the window. Go to device manager there right click on video device update driver and browse to c:\amd\ ... driver \packages\drivers\display\wt6a_inf\ And install it this way

Cryptonite Lite v7 algos toke a huge hit on Vega 64... Driver on both versions : 18.6.1 SRBMiner 1.7.2: Thread[0]: 1958.0 H/s Thread[1]: 1957.0 H/s Thread[2]: 1891.0 H/s Thread[3]: 1892.0 H/s Thread[4]: 1957.0 H/s Thread[5]: 1958.0 H/s Thread[6]: 1959.0 H/s Thread[7]: 1958.0 H/s Thread[8]: 1959.0 H/s Thread[9]: 1959.0 H/s Thread[10]: 1964.0 H/s Thread[11]: 1963.0 H/s Total: 23375.0 H/S SRBMiner 1.7.1 : Thread[0]: 2265.0 H/s Thread[1]: 2282.0 H/s Thread[2]: 2147.0 H/s Thread[3]: 2191.0 H/s Thread[4]: 2334.0 H/s Thread[5]: 2213.0 H/s Thread[6]: 2290.0 H/s Thread[7]: 2246.0 H/s Thread[8]: 2297.0 H/s Thread[9]: 2252.0 H/s Thread[10]: 2243.0 H/s Thread[11]: 2290.0 H/s Total: 27050.0 H/S IDK what im doing wrong. nothing. 1.7.2 have problem with v7lite . Not start HBC memory 1.6.9-1.7.0-1.7.1 work fine but 1.7.2 not You guys are right, algos that have 1mb scratchpad (litev7, mox) got a hit. I rewrote a lot of ocl in 1.7.2, but haven't benchmarked those algos, they are barely used. Going to fix it in next version.

Cryptonite Lite v7 algos toke a huge hit on Vega 64...
IDK either, going to check it out. doctor, what about old cards like Pitcairns? I have R9 270X 4Gb, but on 1.7.2 I can recieve only 80 h/s on heavy... It's too low... Must be 400+ h/s.
It must be ? It gives 400+ h/s on heavy on other miners like JCE or XMRig-AMD. On your miner old versions too. Problem is i can't test what speed does miner get on cards i don't have. Looks like every time i optimised something for newer cards, the old ones got a hit, and i don't know that because i can't test it. JCE says he is the fastest on old cards. Well let him be

570 4bg also add rate on heavy +30-60 per card
now try heavy_mode 3

V1.7.2
- Ellesmere 8Gb cards can now reach the full hashing speed on heavy algos - Rx550 and Rx560 should now be faster on heavy algos by ~8%, and ~5% on V7 algos - Rewritten a lot of stuff so kernel can now be compiled on newer video drivers too, so no binary kernels provided anymore - Much faster kernel compilation time - Removed bralock, aes and kernel parameters - Added value 9997 and 9998 for fragments which could improve stability on some cards - heavy_mode 3 (experimental) is now even faster, but still can produce more compute errors than heavy_mode 1, so 1 is still the default
+ Good news, finally got that hashrate stable for the 8GB ellesmere cards on heavy algos (rx470, rx480, rx570, rx580)
+ Miner can now compile working binaries on newer video drivers too, but i don't know about the speeds, i only tested on the latest AMD driver and it is slower than 18.6.1 Maybe there is a driver version that is faster, if someone finds it please share
+ Kernel compilation times are now reduced by a few times
+ Bralock, Aes and Kernel parameters removed, as they are not needed anymore
+ You can now use values 9997 and 9998 for fragments. If you have hashrate instability issues, try them.
+ If you want to see even more speed on heavy algos use heavy_mode 3, but be prepared to get more compute errors than on 1. Test it and see if the hashrate / compute errors ratio satisfies you
