I don't get coins from Suchpool already about 4 hours. Suchpool guys, you have to CONFIRM that I didn't loose coins due to your backend problems!
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][0.8.6] Hirocoin - X11 - NGW - Secured Blockchain - Time Warp Limitation on: April 27, 2014, 06:46:10 AM
As much as it sounds crazy, what we actually need to increase Hiro price is difficulty to go up significantly. Once this takes place, all these morons who mine and sell 50 Hiros per day would move to something else and stop bringing the price down. Look at these sell orders, 50 Hiro, 40 Hiro, this is just mine and sell immediately, no plan, no strategy, no promotional efforts, nothing.

I expect to see a healthy increase in network difficulty as summer starts to show itself. A lot of miners had issues dealing with the heat last year and turned off their miners. They now have an alternative in Hirocoin and the X11 algorithm.

I also think we'll see a similar increase in the Scrypt-N and X11 coin's difficulties like we did with Litecoin and the early scrypt coins when ASICS really hit SHA 256. The refugee GPU miners have to go somewhere.
Miners don't create demand. They actually are able to kill it. Demand has to be created by awareness and usefulness. If everybody mines HIRO in the summer without any useful application for the coin, HIRO will quickly die. Why do you think that running cool will create a value for HIRO? Turning off the miners is even more cool... Sell it to somebody Smiley.

Just a warning to miners: OkayPool occasionally overcharges auto-payout fees (takes 0.1 instead of promised 0.001 QBC) and doesn't answer to questions regarding this practice. I've moved my 27 MH to another pool. Make your choice wisely.

Hey everyone, back in front of my computer again, I'll be taking an hour or two to answer all PMs E-mails, questions etc and then it's back to work!

Hashrate still going strong, wallets syncing up, market has started. Things are going great!

price still sinking, IPOs haven't been paid.

IPOs won't be paid for 2 days. The market has been open for only 1 day and there's no volume right now, it makes no sense to distribute the IPO right away anyways. It's been barely 28 hours after launch, you can't expect everything to be going crazy and people to buy. In the next weeks volume will pick up. Price "sinking" is not accurate at all. We have just begun trading. Send me your QBC address for the IPO also please.

JP, it's quite strange to see that you suggest to send QBC address to just one investor. What about others, what about me? I was never suggested to send my address for IPO shares. What's going on? Did I miss something? Shouldn't you contact ALL investors at once?

OkayPool, I've asked you a question several posts ago. Please answer. Otherwise, I might think that you ignore one of your miners and will leave for another pool. Don't just claim that you're the best - prove it.

Guys from OkayPool, I've got 2 auto-payouts of 10 QBC with different TxFee:
79727    2014-04-19 18:51:24    TXFee    Confirmed    QVR......hE9       n/a    0.00100000
62677    2014-04-19 15:48:02    TXFee    Confirmed    QVR......hE9       n/a    0.10000000

100 times difference is quite a lot. And your promise is 0.001 for auto-payout. Please explain. Refund is welcome.
Thank you.

Hi JP,
Shouldn't you collect QBC addresses from investors to start sending their shares in coins? How will it work?
Thanks.

So looks like password can't be changed later. Is it true? I'm afraid I put a weak one and would like to change it. Possible?

I just have sent some funds from lovely Toronto to support our good neighbors in Quebec. Some personal reasons behind it:
- The coin specs and the developer look rock solid. High quality staff and stuff, IMHO.
- I love X11, I'm mining Hirocoin and looking to invest into another X11 coin. I will certainly mine Quebecoin when it starts.
- As a Canadian I like any opportunity to support a Canadian product.
- I love Quebec. Every Christmas we ski in Mont Tremblant. Looking forward to spend some QBC there next time!

Good luck with IPO and Quebecoin promotion, JP!

Thanks for coming forward, I was typing my last post mentioning an anonymous investor and you came forward while I was typing!

Just a thought - wouldn't QCC be better that QBC Smiley?

You're gonna have to explain your thought process on that one!

QBC works in multiple ways. It's the shortened form of the word when removing all vowels - Q(ué)B(e)C , it keeps up with the syllables as well : Que-Be-Coin (for those who can't pronounce Quebec - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6C0Pw2-HFI).

Where does the first "c" in QCC come from?

Quebec province abbreviation - QC! Plus coin -> QCC.

Anybody here got any settings or hashrate for a Radeon 6990 ?

I get 7.92 Mh/s on a 6970.

Code:
"intensity" : "8",
"worksize" : "256",
"kernel" : "heavy",
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"gpu-engine" : "950-950",

How did you manage to run heavy-specific cgminer for 6970? It works on 7000 series only as I know. At least it doesn't work with my 6970 card...

I have 25 MH connected to the SuchPool.pw. The dashboard, however, after an hour of mining shows 14-17 MH. Is it normal? Do I get actual correct number of accepted shares reported by sgminer?
Thank you.

Great algo by the way. The cards run even cooler than with HEFTY1 algo. Hope, this coin will attract more attention.

Anybody is experiencing problems with zhpool? My miners are running at full speed (about 68 MH), but pool's dashboard shows 200-300 KH. What's going on lately? Pool owner didn't answer my email sent several hours ago... Hmm...

Hi realrover

To be friendly to CPU miners, we start from a very low diff, so you may observe your hashrate much low than your actual hashrate, minutes later, the web will show your hashrate correct.

Be comfortable with this, your profit will not be affected

Thanks
ZHpool

Being friendly to CPU miners you (certainly unintentionally) are unfriendly to GPU miners. I'm not sure that you will actually find many CPU miners out there nowadays, so this argument doesn't make much sense to me... Also, I noticed that my miners were losing connection to your pool0 server in a strange way without switching to backup server. They were kind of stuck. I didn't observe such problems with another pool.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: March 25, 2014, 01:24:37 AM
the front end site was timing out. Hence the reason i asked earlier if they were getting ddos or something. I have them as backup for now.
That definitely happens a lot.  The pool itself is fine, but the website drops out way more often than the operators should be comfortable with Smiley  Still, if you don't trust it - there's several other pools to choose from Cheesy

The problem is that there is nothing to choose from actually. I wanted to participate in hashrate distribution and tried heavycoinpool, then zhpool. Both have annoying glitches... Back to 1GH apparently.
