201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: April 26, 2018, 04:22:56 PM
What have you been using your ETH for?

For trading
To buy ICO
For long term investment
Other - explain
Tradings usually. Because all of my ETH comes from bounty campaigns that I trade with my etherdelta.

I didnt try to invest at ICO's using ETH because I only have small amount of it.,5

I do not use it at all, but I just keep it in my wallet. Since I understand that this coin has great prospects and I will be able to earn a lot on it. I have studied the project too thoroughly and understand that it will be the leader in this market!
to be a leader in the market remains in the hands of bitcoin. but this ethereum also has the potential to be even better, so I suggest to multiply your ETH count when the price goes down, and wait for a good time to sell it
Still, trading it will be the best option to grow your ETH rather than waiting it to overtake Bitcoin.

Learn from the volatility of crypto currency mate.
202  Other / Meta / Re: suggestion: short replies by merit on: April 26, 2018, 03:44:01 PM
I have already suggested(I think it is similar but your thoughts) to make another column that shows how many merited post in a certain topic. And once we click it, merited post will only be filtered.

That would be a great solution to read usefull answers on a topic.

Edited:
This was my suggestion.

203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN : Oppotunity Or Challenge? on: April 26, 2018, 03:18:49 PM
I'm a new investor who is talked about Newbie, and I'm know Bitcoin by Ebooks and Internet.   Smiley I found that the history of Bitcoin is relatively short, to talk about benefits, it is digital currency, not through convenient medium and relatively fast. But there are many limitations, it is anonymous and easy to be Hackers possession, difficult to universal throughout the world as well as all types of business. I want to borrow money from my parents to buy more Bitcoin, because I believe the value is increasing but they still doubt it is multi level ponzi, should I invest a lot here or not? I need more advice. Thank all of you a lots.

It is an opportunity to more average individuals not only rich to be involve in business involving technology evolution and earn something. Challenge to people involving this crypto business to find ways to solve problem like scams and hacking.

This is the greatest chance to change the life for the better, get some stability and even start your own business in case you will have a certain success.

yes, this is a great moment for us to take the opportunity from bitcoin to make bitcoin as our new way to make an income for our life, so we can earn more money for better future. I agree that bitcoin is an opportunity and also a challenge because it will need a big effort from us to earn bitcoin itself and if we have the courage to continue to searching jobs in bitcoin, I am sure that we can make a lot of money. but I don't agree that we need to borrow money from our parents because for me, it is better than we do by our self and if we can get a good result, we can be proud that is our hard work in the job itself. but it's up to you, whether you want to borrow money from your parents or not and as long as you can pay back that money, I think it's fine.

We search jobs in bitcointalk not particularly in bitcoin. Income will come especially if your persevere as a member in the forum & particularly challenge us because of the new system. Some of topics give merit source like puzzle in which I really love to solve because it really challenges me.
204  Other / Meta / Re: [List] Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0 on: April 26, 2018, 02:42:39 PM
What is the goal of this topic??

If you found someone abusing merit just report it! I have done it a few times now!

From what I have seen this is only for OP to get merit points! Over 200 points across his three topics!!!
If only people merited whoever comes here and expose abuses! But no, only OP gets merit!

PS: The goal is not to offend! Great initiative from OP!
I'm criticizing people who merit only OP and not other participants.

Most of the merited people comes from a topic that they created specially if some DT members notice a members potential to contribute in the forum.

These are the flaws or negative side of merit system but we should move on from it and over come this in other ways.

206  Other / Meta / Re: Merit became a business. What to do? on: April 26, 2018, 12:54:28 PM
I think that I can understand why some users are able to sell their merit ... And some that buy..
i explain, I already saw many Jr Member having posted close to 200 posts and having no merit like me... in this way it becomes impossible to grow up to Member because you need at last 10 Merits to become Member ...
and i also think that users having sMerits are sometimes really Scrooge..  Grin

i really think that obtain Merit with time could be a new option ... example 2Merits a month could become a way to obtain some...

As i don’t speak correctly English, I think that I will stay Jr Member for a long time.
Try to innovate your post and help others in the forum, you will recieve your merit base on that. Waiting is not an option and open your doors for opportunity.
207  Other / Meta / Re: Why we don't ban abusers? on: April 26, 2018, 04:46:47 AM
Having alt accounts is not against rules.
However, I remember there was one case when moderator banned 200 alt accounts.
Reminds me of this case where the mods banned a whole office. Shocked
Yep, that's the one.
No, because they will create new accounts and start doing the same thing over and over again.
It's not that easy anymore because they will need tons of merit to rank up. If we ban all the old farmed accounts who are already Sr/Hero Member, those spammers will end up running out of accounts.
I disagree.
All accounts from OP are junior member accounts, value of collected tokens is 27000$ and I don't think they care about rank, besides, there is no rank requirement for twitter bounty and as I said if you ban 20 accounts new 20 will pop out with different twitter profiles.
Why everyone believes merit is solution and such people will give up and leave forum?
Would you leave forum if you could earn $27K posting from bunch of junior member accounts knowing you won't ever rank up?
Some of the CM's are already require members account only for twitter campaigns. If this will be required by other managers, then there no need to ban them. Also, campaign managers job to check if the members have neg trust specially if they are suspected alts.
208  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestions to improve the forum and limit shitposting - the easy way on: April 25, 2018, 05:16:06 PM
-snip-
I believe that restricting new accounts to signature-less posting on starter boards, and only allowing them to post on the main boards once they had been awarded 5 merits ( say ) would be the simplest solution.

How about an ICO team putting up an account dedicated only for a project? I think this will not be applicable for it unless they will give it a merit for posting purpose only. The issues will still be the same IMO.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the government ban bitcoin? on: April 25, 2018, 01:12:55 PM
Of course they can ban bitcoin, it can be amended by the law of a country to what they think it can help their government. Many countries already banned bitcoin and some embraced this new technology. Innovation can be difficult specially if its uncontrollable that why many governments wants to control over bitcoin specially the once that profited fro it a lot.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US Dollar Too Volatile? on: April 25, 2018, 11:28:18 AM
Honestly, there is always a volatility in value of all currencies (Crypto and FIAT). As well, It is true that the era of Bitcoin or digital currencies in general have changed all financial transactions to the best and because of their advantages, there has been a significant evolution in the number of their users over time, but it is not the main reason for US dollar decline.

As a matter of fact, there is always a stability in the price of US dollars and most FIAT, contrary to what happens in Cryptocurrencies. For me, I think if the governments cannot destroy Bitcoin, then it sure that there will be a global reorganization of him, and may it will be the single currency, when this is achieved, I am pretty sure that FIat (Dollars, Euro) will disappear.
Fiat currency will disappear? That will be impossible unless there is a free internet for the whole world will arise. The environment and the government will be the greatest factor if you think that the fiat will not be utilize in terms of payment methods.
211  Economy / Economics / Re: The market started looking green today. on: April 25, 2018, 07:41:16 AM
~snip~
That small change in the price of crypto currencies cannot be considered as growth but it is good to see that there is little bit of positivity around the corner but again the price is in red at the current moment so nothing changes now so people need to hold their coins if they want the price to recover.

I'm going to explain as clear as I could what he's trying to say.

As you would notice the graph on the right end, we can already see that its not "growth". The graph tells that all of those coins are in the dump, why you asked? Because see the starting point of the graph, the end point is not even as half of it. Also, the green percentage that you've bragging about, its just the 24 hour change, no big deal. Remember, Bitcoin reached $19k but now its roughly on the $9k, and Ethereum reached $73k but now its in the $33k, not even half of those.

Not trying to be negative but, I'm just saying that its not growing as you expect it to be.

But still, this is a great entry point for those who want to add their investment from altcoins. Now, corrections are coming again, supports will be tested but I doubt that the market will be bearish again because FUD are now out of the picture.

Expect more buyers enters the market.
212  Other / Meta / Re: Why did mods delete my thread without warning? on: April 25, 2018, 07:25:20 AM
People with paid signatures post here accusing me of a bad quality thread, likely not even reading the body of the OP.

Let me spell out the events that went down clearly so it's easier to understand:

  • ICO rep contacts me and we get an arrangement that I post their thread in exchange of payment.
  • I design and copywrite for their thread.
  • I post the thread.
  • I am later informed that the team of the ICO is fake people.
  • I am not paid in time and the ICO's team won't respond my messages.
  • I put my accusation on the thread.
  • Mods delete the entire thread of mine.
  • The ICO's team posts a new thread with my evidence of being scammed now being hidden due to mods having deleted my thread.
...
As for your problem, it would be great if you could send a PM into the  MOD/s that has been moderating the section that you have created a post on. And if this still didn't work then how about penetrating the said ICO to their limits so that they wouldn't ignore you. Don't just make a copyright of their thread. Make your own style on how you will introduce this fake people to the community so that no one will ever be a victim again of that ICO.

....

The common problem is that he is working with a scam. Even if he PM our MODs, he will still be ignored. Its better to move on and research the ICO that he's posting because he's own reputation will be at stake if your promoting it(Just like what happen to atriz). If the OP only want's hes payment, the hell they care.

To OP, better report again these ICO to our MODs to put it again in the trash.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization bitcoin on: April 25, 2018, 05:43:14 AM
when will legalization bitcoin? why this does not happen? are there any countries that have legalized bitcoin?
or already somehow now it is possible to legalize the income received from Bitcoin?
Currently the popularity and influence of Bitcoin to the world is not high, so we need to wait when it becomes trending of the whole world, then it is possible Bitcoin will be legal. Governments and central banks will accept it and choose it as a legal form of payment.
There are countries that bitcoin & other cryptocurrency are already legal. Review this list for your reference https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/041515/countries-where-bitcoin-legal-illegal.asp .
This will help you to know the them if your travelling across the globe and you want to use you crypto.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the future rightly. on: April 24, 2018, 11:42:37 AM
In terms of origin bitcoin establish its position first and widely known.

Etherium is the second in terms of speed which is faster than bitcoin by thousands of transaction per second

And I think the third will be Eos which is 100x faster that Etheruims transaction.

Innovation will be endless but bitcoin will still dominates in the future because of its popularity.
215  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a list of members who give merit to bounty programmes on: April 24, 2018, 04:29:37 AM
I'd like to put them on ignore, so that I don't contribute to the upranking of bounty hunters, and the encouragement of bounty programmes here.

Can the admins create another column for sections that  we see/filter how many merits are given in a certain topic?(just an idea)

I think it will be also a great help to Jet Cash and other readers to view high quality post & the "list of members who give merits to bounty programmes".  Wink

At this rate, rather than checking the whole thread(with shit posters) we can read directly the most useful replies at that topic too.

217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk Management on: April 22, 2018, 10:48:08 PM
Eliminating risk could be inevitable in the world of cryptocurrency. I would rather study more about ICO's and always invest at bitcoin for a long term because it really pays off.

Knowledge will be a great foundation to reduce risk.

If your a trader, study the basic trading signals.

If your an investor, never invest money that you can't afford to lose.

Simple tips but the basics helps a lot if you improve it thoroughly.

219  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Destroying the Planet? on: April 21, 2018, 06:40:30 AM
It could just be a great step in progress of renewable energy sources. If miners will stop focus only on earning money, and start to invest in future, I think it will make the world better. Like companies that develop robots with solar panels which are handling farmer´s lands. Which will lead to decreasing of food price. What else we need? Almost free food, free energy and homes for everyone. All this things are possible with opportunities that gives us bitcoin.
The key is just that right instrument should be in right hands.
This was already discuss in an article of New York Times.

For a clip, this will be the average consumption of creating a token with mining technology.

“The computer power needed to create a single digital token consumes at least as much electricity as the average American household burns through in two years, according to figures from Morgan Stanley and Alex de Vries, an economist who tracks energy use in the industry.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/21/technology/bitcoin-mining-energy-consumption.html?mtrref=undefined

Sustainable solution should also meet to fuel the growth of this alarming transformation of technology.
