Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society
|

This board has a lot of topic that comprises with the negativity about gambling addiction. Let’s change it for now to support the casino we are promoting here. Gambling is important to the society because it provides huge taxes that government use on hospitals, infrastructure and other projects to help its citizens. Monacco country is popular with their casino but they don't allow its citizen to play. This shows how important gambling in their country because they still allowed to operate it even though they don't want citizens to be involved. In our country, Our lottery use the proceeds to donate on the health center that provides free health service to our citizens. Even if gambling commonly view as negative by commoner. Many didn't notice how big is the contribution of gambling to the society. Reference for this topic: https://harbert.auburn.edu/binaries/documents/center-for-ethical-organizational-cultures/debate_issues/gambling.pdfWhat is the benefits of gambling to your society? We actually have a common benefits of gambling here mate specifically with lottery. Those things you mentioned above is also similar here in my country where proceeds will be used to buy ambulances, firetrucks and many more. I can see positive outcome from this though sometimes there were controversials that involves in this kind of thing but yeah we're here for just the good benefits. 😁

Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Include Or Always Include Gambling In Your New Year's Resolution
|
on: December 05, 2023, 12:20:05 PM
|
Only 4 weeks before we welcome a new year and new year for many is the best time to promise changes in their behavior, career, and habits, and many gamblers take the New Year as an opportunity to try to change something in their behavior or lifestyle and they do it through New Year resolution. My question do you include gambling in your new resolution, and what's your New Year's resolution about gambling? Let's talk about it. No. Since I am not addicted to gambling there is no need fo me to include it on my new years resolution. I can play gambling anytime depending on my extra money if I have one. No need to quit to be honest but setting some limits on it might be a big difference with addiction. If I had something to include that would be my emotion. This might contradict on my previous posts about gambling but yeah change is the only constant as what others would say.

I also play slots before but now it was just a waste of time and money for me. I think they are all the same, the way they liquidate our funds were similar. I haven't tried those mentioned by OP but one thing is for sure, I will never play slots again. I have bad experiences with slots so never again.

Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Money laundering in crypto casino
|
on: December 05, 2023, 11:59:13 AM

We all know the recent issue about the mixer status here in the forum. Crypto casino is also being use for money laundering by some criminals that’s why every casino has AML policy.
I’m just curious what will be the fate of crypto casino once money laundering activity from mixer will jump to casino now that mixer will not be advertised here which means it has less exposure. Is there any possibility that crypto casino will be seized by the government just like what happened to mixers in case they failed to screen the laundering activity?
If worst thing will happen with crypto casino, I think same with mixing services they will also be banned here on this forum. Crypto casinos I think is under the SEC's regulation and therefore compliant to the law. Unusual activities and transactions on accounts might be suspicious to the authorities and could end up accounts being freezed if proven money laundering.

Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos after the shutdowns of mixers
|
on: December 05, 2023, 11:48:50 AM
|
Numerous bad news and developments unfolded this past week, mainly impacting privacy and decentralization. The recent crackdown by United States authorities on well known mixers has serious implications for users and even businesses or projects. Mixers were originally designed to keep users anonymity, and the current situation appears to be so harming for both sides and a slap for bitcoin users as well.
The worse news, is mixers will no longer be allowed in Bitcointalk for any kind of promotions or even discussions. Along with the risk of getting banned because of that means ; Mixers are dead here in BTT.
Now, you may be wondering about the connection between mixers related issues and casinos. The thing lies in casinos capability to facilitate untraceable transactions, enabling scenarios like depositing and withdrawing without a trace, potentially leading to money laundering.
The important question here: how will casinos respond to this new landscape, and what measures will they take and implement to face the challenges posed by recent developments? Probably many users will join casinos for an alternative of mixer.
People who are involved in illegal activities will always find loopholes and ways to successfully transfer any amount of money intended for any illegal activities or simply just bribes. If SEC will find any traces of unusual activities from casino accounts I think owners of these platforms knew what will happen to their businesses. We all know that legitimate gambling sites is following the rules and regulations given to them by SEC.

Totally agree. It is really a waste of time and money. I personally played this in an online casino I think that was some months ago and I ends up losing all the deposited amount of money I got on my account. After all my funds are gone, I did not mind to play on it again. From slot games I jumped into sports betting.

This actually has many lessons to teach specially us gamblers. First, the guy who owes $10 from his friend and placed it on a bet and possibly that guy lose it that is why he has not repaid his friend. So the lesson here is to never take loan just for gambling purposes as things might end up so badly.
Second lesson is, if you have not enough money to lend someone on then never try to be as good as a philantrophist you don't really know if you'll be paid. Some people see friendship as a loophole to abuse so beware. Though not all friends will do the same thing but make your needs a priority so you won't blame yourself sooner or later.

In short, we need to set limits. This is the only way we can minimize losses and control our emotions so we are not going deeper into addiction. For some people setting limits is not that easy because of greed.

Well, not for us maybe but other locals here in my place do this as a source of income though not online gambling but the odds of losing is the same and very high. My friends also do this with basketball, they usually go to other villages to find matches and then place bet and most of the time they win though not considered as profession as majority of them were students but they bring money back home.

Apart from scam accusation, I don't think reduction of bonuses is a red flag for me. They have to adjust their operation to remain in business, that's how I see it. I do not use the platform but I feel it is not right to discredit them just because they reduced bonus and other incentives. Do not forget that there is a fierce competition on the business so if everything they do will have direct impact on their business.
I agree with you mate and it is always up on our personal preferrences in choosing what we think is good for us specially when gambling. I don't use the platform as well but we all know that I think it was included on it's terms that they have the right to change things on their platform with or without prior notice. Changes on platforms I think is very common could be noticeable or not but it's all up to them.

Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga Artista Na Scam Ng Crypto Investment

on: December 02, 2023, 11:48:41 PM

Is it because the current admin is more serious in focusing on the country's economic growth than the previous one's?
If ever na meron kayong alam about local exchange maliban sa Coins.ph at PDAX na kasing convenient ng Binance please don't hesitate to share it here guys it will really help us find more alternatives.

|
on: December 02, 2023, 11:12:41 PM

I personally do a cashout if my winnings is more than the gambling funds or capital I have deposited on my account. For example if I deposited $100 and I won another $100 then I would be happy to reap that extra money. As I can't afford to lose more than my limits I won't push hard. If I win a jackpot, there is no question to that of course money is money. 😅

Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that this is aperfect analogy of how gambling addiction starts?
|
on: December 01, 2023, 03:25:54 PM
|
Read this transcript of Andreas Analogy of how gambling addiction kicks off and tell me if you think he is right or not. Basically, your opinion. Gambling is a tax for people who don't understand the mathematics of probability. If you understand how probability works, you can't ever rationally gamble. The only reason you would gamble is if you decided, "I am going to lose money; the fun I have while I am losing money is worth it." "I am paying a fee for temporary fun." But most people cannot do that. Once you become drawn into the game, the gambling process triggers these responses. You start getting confirmation bias, selection bias, and survivor bias. These are known cognitive biases. The person who wins thinks they were lucky, but they don't think about all the times they lost. As you are doing this, it is triggering your dopamine centers. Lucky or not, entertainment or a source of income, it will always depends on us on how gambling works for us or what is our understanding about gambling itself. Gambling will tell us who we really are. Gambling teaches us lessons we need to improve. A tactical guy once said "awareness buys you time and time buys you options". It clearly means in gambling that if we are aware about addiction, we still have time to react. Things can be settled before it get worst.

We all know that the higher the percentage of our gambling capital the higher the chance of liquidation. The lower we pour money on gambling the lower the profit we gain if we are lucky. This is really important to know our limits so we can figure out when we have to get out of the game.

Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are?
|
on: December 01, 2023, 03:03:48 PM
|
Well for me, since we are talking about how good we are when it comes to betting I think the higher the percentage of winning makes it acceptable to be called "good enough". 60% is for me quiet good but we all know that it's not that easy to achieve in just a short period of time. Though this depends on what kind of gambling we are in.
