i'll suggest ethereum to be held, it's better than ripple, ethereum is the rival from bitcoin. but it's not mean that ripple is not good enough, will be better you choose both of them, because i see the both are good in potentially, you may to consider litecoin also, it is close to ethereum now, better to hold some of it. i do recommend it for you.

first i sent my bitcoin to local exchange in my country, then i sell it into real currency. then after the my balance has been comfirmed, i withdraw my money to my bank account. there so many ways to withdraw your btc to real money.

make profit while being dump is really hard. i think the percentage of profit will be nothing in dump section.

in order to grow your btc, you can keep trade it on the market, or do invest in some ICO, but need to be careful in investing ICO, now most of ICO are scam or when the coins has list on the market, the dev just sell the coins and never back again and leave the coins.
but not all of ICO are scam, you need to check the team profile one by one to make sure that they will struggle for their coin.
