Hello all,

BR,

Gondel
Oh, my... You heard your rumor way back too early since April 2014? Darn, well, it is about to happen this time after 4 years. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg announced they're a digging deeper and studying the cryptocurrencies, how the market is behaving very well and they might a cryptocurrency futures in the near future.
963  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: January 07, 2018, 05:40:57 PM
Title.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?
Yes, indeed! No doubt, electric cars would be hurting gasoline car manufacturers, and I believe in time, one day electric cars could even end the existence of gasoline cars.
964  Economy / Economics / Re: do you think bitcoin is controversial ? on: January 07, 2018, 05:36:43 PM
as we know so many reason to make controversial bit coin currency in practical or real media sanitation. if  we observe very carefully  few past few years we have seen that  criminal activities  or occurrence  are occurred by the help of hackers and trader make it famous moving thousand of dollars outside by cheating  with government law enforcement for that reason value of bitcoin increasing very high. even they make money away from center bank and government unable to hold money from general people and through this process people convert this money into different things. i think this is enough for making controversial and what do you think about my think ?
Anything that empower the individual is always controversial, just look at cryptography many countries hate that fact that the average people has now access to military grade encryption, since now a person that does not want to reveal his information can encrypt it and if does a good job then there is not a way to access that information and bitcoin is similar, bitcoin empowers people around the world and the more power people have the less power governments have over them.
And by the way, criminals are always criminals, those that are always trying to cheat the government they would do it in one way or the other. Bitcoin just created the way for them to make it more professional. I think bitcoins value is far beyond what criminals are doing with it because bitcoin provide jobs and investment opportunities to the people.
965  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: January 07, 2018, 05:27:58 PM
I heard people said that Bitcoin's profit is higher than profit of drug dealer, weapon dealers or profit of real property or any kind of stocks. Is that real ?
Yes, bitcoin is very profitable because bitcoin has a limited supply of only 16.7 million bitcoins in circulation worldwide. And yes, there is high bitcoin demands. thus, the demand of bitcoin is higher than the supply. You know once the demand is higher than the supply what will follow which is inflation.
966  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: January 07, 2018, 05:22:31 PM
Governments across the world are always talking about creating the cashless economy, they want to create a cashless society but they never implement it, yet bitcoin provide the solution. Sooner or later the paper money is going down, mark my word. The paper money replaced gold coins and it is about to be replaced with bitcoins.

968  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: January 07, 2018, 05:16:03 PM
1. So easy and understandable
2. fast money. For better saving
3. Maybe you will become richer.
Yeah, there are so many good reasons for people to invest in bitcoin, of course. Bitcoin value is growing in an exponential rate growing with over 2000% increase in pure profit last year. When can someone invest in the outside world and make so much money like that? There is no any form of investment out their that you can make such money in a year.
969  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ? on: January 07, 2018, 02:36:33 PM
Very recently I read an article , which assumed bitcoins to be exactly like the Dutch tulip mania , the Mississippi bubble and the south sea bubble.
The author of that article (which was published in the economic times ) said it's now time to move away from bitcoins , the market has ended and the sooner you forfeit the lesser will be your loss.
What do you guys think about it ?
Look at this guy for god's sake, he is a Sr. Member of this community saying such bullocks! What a shame? I never thought a Sr. Member of this community would be posting such negative article about bitcoin. Perhaps he has no bitcoin history background that is why he is posting such things. Bitcoin has come a long way and it is here to stay. No mind what other morons are writing about bitcoin it is all bullocks no matter who they are whether economics or even geographers. Smiley
970  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Will Change Everything on: January 07, 2018, 02:28:04 PM
We are entering in the new type of economy where price predictions are not possible any more because productivity and prosperity of humanity will rise to the new golden age level. Bitcoin will go to 1 million dollars in 2018 and is being used by central banks as a global stardard ledger - dollar will fade slowly those who buy now will become the new wealthy elite.
Bitcoin is changing the world by providing jobs and investment opportunities to the people where anyone can invest money and make profit later by just holding the bitcoin. Bitcoin has limited supply that is why the value of bitcoin appreciates over time. In fact, Bitcoin is changing the face of financial world as we know it for good by speeding up the monetary transaction from one point to another. Bitcoin is about to digitized the global currency because digital currencies are fast, secure, and decentralized.
971  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: January 07, 2018, 02:12:13 PM
Besides, Bitcoin is an invisible gold and do not be restricted by the customs.

Very good point! This basically allows you to bring more than 10k in "cash" around the glob in your pocket without customs having a chance to find out.. Can potentially be problematic though, helping illegal transactions.
Basically, bitcoin is free to carry everywhere in the world without anybody ever noticing you even have the bitcoins on you on your wallet. Bitcoin market is open 24/7, 365 days a year, the market is selling day in, day out. Bitcoin gives more freedom to the people because it puts people in control of their money.
972  Economy / Economics / Re: Why economists say Bitcoin a bubble on: January 07, 2018, 02:03:29 PM
I talk to big economists they say Is only a Bubble my thought Is no bitcoin Is revolution of economy even doesnt have a background like gold the value Is power of the people what do you think?
I always wonder why people who knows nothing about the bitcoin history and background are always the first ones to comment on it. In fact, bitcoin is been called a "bubble" for far too long. So, when will the bubble burst? that is my question to them.Cheesy
973  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: Best investment in 2017? on: January 07, 2018, 01:58:39 PM
Bitcoin price has outperformed every reserve and fiat currency across the world year to date, yet again. By outperforming the US dollar by over 30 percent, Bitcoin surpassed the growth of the Mexican Peso, Silver, Gold and Russian Ruble to become the best performing currency so far in 2017.

Thus far, 2017 has been a successful year for both Bitcoin investors and alternative cryptocurrency (altcoin) traders, with leading altcoins or crypto assets such as Ethereum achieving a $5 bln market cap in early April. The Bitcoin market, however, experienced some major changes in its ecosystem earlier this year. The major driving force of Bitcoin price in 2017 is suspected to be the resolution of the Bitcoin network’s current scalability problems.

The Bitcoin network’s one MB cap on block size is causing Blockchain congestion, a drastic increase in fees at times and long confirmation times. If Bitcoin scalability issues are addressed within this year, with innovative solutions such as Bitcoin Core’s Segregated Witness (SegWit), Andrew Lee’s Extension Blocks or other potential emerging solutions, Bitcoin price will most likely demonstrate an exponential mid and long-term increase.

Would you invest in BTC this year?
I already invested in bitcoin when it as was just around $1,200 even though it is not a full decision for an investment i still take the risk and buy some bitcoins and continue to hold it until now, i just saw the new ATH price of bitcoin and just surpassed the past ATH and it is a good sign for me and i'm planning to hold until $2,000.
Because bitcoin has a lot of the potential to growth more in the future. I have bought a lot of bitcoin at $1100 and i hold them all till this time. The adoption of crypto is growing anytime, that's a reason for me to hold my bitcoin for long-term period. I think this can be a good opportunity for us to get more benefits by bitcoin in the future. $2000 is reasonable rate in my mind.
Bitcoin really had a great year 2017 because it gained over 2000% increase in value over the period of only one year. Those that had the chance to invest in bitcoin in early 2017 and invested are now happier than ever while those that reject it are the ones regretting by now. What is left now is for the people to decide on their future because we are in the early 2018 and the future is looking brighter.
974  Economy / Economics / Re: Will there ever be a Bitcoin Bank on: January 07, 2018, 01:41:42 PM
Does anyone on here think that there is ever going to be Bitcoin Bank, be it something which is centralized or something which isn't really doesn't matter. But I'd think of this as a company, or a union (like one of those credit union banks) where loans would be given out to people with trust, money is held, and so on and so forth.

I know many think that they can escape banks, but they are insanely helpful and trustworthy for many everyday people who we'd want to join into the BTC community.
Well, I think it is possible to have fully functional bitcoin bank in the future since the are great projects such as Crypterium and Worldcore started popping. In believe in time everything is possible and achievable in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
975  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum after 5 years? on: January 07, 2018, 01:35:27 PM
What is most profitable to invest for 5 years ?BT or ETH
Well, I think ethereum is going to be more profitable than bitcoin in the next 5 years because ethereum is cheaper than bitcoin now. The money you can use to buy bitcoin can still buy you about 20 ethereum.
976  Economy / Economics / Re: lest we forget, Bitcoin is a blessing. on: January 07, 2018, 12:54:32 PM
Bitcoin has pass through many stage, limitations, attack and forks issue but its price keep on increasing from inception till now. At this time Last year bitcoin price was $450 but today it is $1245 that was over 180% increment in just a year. This is what we call blessing, that is making progress in the face of strong opposition!!
Well, it appears the year 2017 has so much more blessings than all the previous years of bitcoin combined. Bitcoin was selling at $960+ in the January 2017 and bitcoin is currently selling at $17,400 in January 2018. Bitcoin gained over 2000% increase in value in the year 2017, and who knows how many percent increase bitcoin is going to add in this year 2018.
977  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: January 07, 2018, 12:41:58 PM
No way, even if bitcoin is free for the poor to sell for the rich, bitcoin will never end poverty because some poor people will never accept bitcoin. They will reject bitcoin and start calling bitcoin will some evil names such as a money from devil or something like that. Poor people are some how very stupid in their nature.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: January 07, 2018, 12:25:11 PM
who among you here heard bitcoin back in 2009 and 2010? I was one of the people who is very skeptical about it and I really regret it. Sad I missed the best opportunity for a lifetime.
My only regret about bitcoin is didn't know about it until 2013 and during that time there was no way I can buy bitcoin from my country. My people only got the chance to start buying bitcoins until June 2016 while bitcoin was selling at around $620.
979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: January 07, 2018, 12:21:16 PM
I think it is very smart and a great idea to store bitcoin for your kid. Once you have a kid it is always good to have plan for that kid. Saving bitcoin for your kid will help you save your kind from struggling a lot in the future. If your kid is now less than 5 years old when to buy bitcoin for him/her now it would be worth hundred of thousands of dollars (if not millions) by the time when your kid gets to 20 years old.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why rich people with a lot of Bitcoin don't try to improve it? on: January 07, 2018, 12:13:59 PM
I mean, they are so rich, they can start to mine Bitcoin, even if they lose some money they shouldn't care, they are ok with all those money they already have.
Am I wrong?
If you became rich and you are doing the dream life that everyone wants is thanks to Bitcoin, don't let him die.

I think you have misunderstood something. The rich people are rich because they have managed to get people like you to buy their Bitcoins at a high price. That means they are now rich, and you are stuck with a Bitcoin that you can't use for anything and also cannot sell with profit because of the high transaction fees. You have made them rich. They will not help you.

Why is this guy "freightjoe" is always anti-bitcoin? The answer is must of the rich people that you are seeing investing in bitcoin don't have the technical knowledge about bitcoin. But don't worry the bitcoin lightning network is about to change everything by solving the bitcoin problems. Once the lightning network is implemented the bitcoin transactions would be faster and smoother than ever.
