21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Chart Analyzer - What features would you want? on: August 29, 2017, 04:36:33 AM
i think that coinigy's interface is pretty good.  you might sign up and use them to get some inspiration.

some useful features: EMA, SMA, MACD, RSI, bolingerbands, ichimoku clouds... and that's just to start

I highly recommend this podcast about what the world would look like in 2025 if it was transformed by cryptocurrencies.  https://startupcto.io/podcast/0-7-a-world-transformed-by-cryptocurrency-piper-merriam/

I've had nothing but good experiences with my EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 80+ PLATINUM, 1000Ws.  Been churning in my ETH miners for months now Smiley
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARAGON: The Ethereum based Startup from Spain on: August 28, 2017, 08:37:03 PM
I think the combination with District0x will be legendary !

I also think that it can be a good partnership for both side, not only for Aragon  Cheesy

Came here to say prettymuch this.  Excited to see District0x and Aragon growing.  The more built on their systems, the more powerful they become overall!
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA Wallet - is there one? on: August 28, 2017, 02:19:35 AM
Thanks guys. How do you actually make that GitHub thing work?  Huh

You're probably better off downloading one of the precompiled binaries for Mac/Linux/PC instead of using the Github makefiles.  FWIW, much easier to just download a binary.

I'm a pretty big fan of SHIFT.  I think that it's got a lot of potential to change the way we distribute web content over a 5 to 10 year time horizon.
27  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fake solar eclipses? on: August 25, 2017, 05:02:53 PM
I have not noticed anything wrong about solar eclipse. People and mass media always exaggerate everything.

Came here to say exactly this.  I saw the eclipse in Wyoming USA this year.  It was real, and it was beautiful.

Stay away from that kind of shitcoins  Smiley

Came here to say this.  These coins don't have any fundamental value.

A+ team, great product.  Even better to see the cap on funds raised per registrant.  Really excited to see what happens with the ICO here.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: my MyEtherWallet/account was emptied on: August 15, 2017, 05:33:56 PM
Sorry to hear about your loss, but your assets are very likely gone now.

For future transfers, you might consider a hardware wallet.  Ledger Nano S or Trezor are two recommended brands.  Both are pretty good at protecting your private key.

@extremal my balance does not seem to be updating (is still at 9, has been all night after 10 hours of mining on 6x1070 GPUs), although the network recognizes my hashrate.  is there a bug?

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig Building : No boot! on: November 05, 2016, 03:13:57 PM
Does it get past post at all?

Gets stuck at boot (no post)-  it is either a mobo issue or pcie riser issue.  Put a known good pcie riser on the main x16 slot and it will get past post and boot.  You can probably repair the riser, I had an issue with a riser where there was a thin solder bridge on the back between 2 of the slot pins.  Repaired that riser like 3 months ago and it still works today, was a total bitch to figure out being my first experience with it.

Gets past post, starts to boot then goes black screen(windows issue)-  This is probably not the issue from what you are describing.
Go into bios and tell it to use onboard only, then boot into system.  Go to device manager and find where the os loaded a driver for onboard and disable it, revert settings in bios to auto, reboot and you should be good.

1. I'm not sure.  The CPU fan and GPU fan power on.  But no other signs of live.

2. I dont think the issue is a PCIE riser.  I tried putting the card directly on the mobo, but no luck.

3. I'd love to go into the BIOS, but I can't seem to get any signs of life from the screen.

New motherboard overnighted and arriving today.  Hopefully that solves the issue..

99% faulty MB. You have to RMA.

Any way I can prove it's a faulty mobo?  I dont want to pay a restocking fee!
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig Building : No boot! on: November 04, 2016, 09:43:20 PM
when u wont get an bios alert beep or led code its an cpu issue

all other problems must give out an beep error or an led error code out only when it comes to cpu failure it wont do anythink.

try just ur cpu with another minimal system

Thanks for the response.

The led does blink, but only blinks once.  The motherboard doesnt have an alert beep on it..  Where do you recommend i look in order to understand led error codes?  There is nothing about that in the motherboard manual.

Strip it down to a minimal system with IGPU. If that works try with one GPU, then another etc.

Tried that.  No luck, even with the IGPU Sad
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Rig Building : No boot! on: November 04, 2016, 08:35:20 PM
Hi there everyone,

I built a mining rig for mining ETH/Zcash with the following specs:

> 6x GTX 1070
> Power Supply:
> 2x 1000W EVGA SuperNOVA PLATINUM
> RAM:
> 2x 4GB Kingston Ram
> CPU:
> Intel Celeron G1840
> Motherboard:
> ASRock H81 Pro BTC
> Risers:
> 2x PCI-E PCI Express 1x to 16x
> 3x PCI-E 1X to 16X
> 1x PCI-E Micro PCI Express 16X
> OS / SSD:
> ethOS (operating system)
> Misc:
> Add2PSU Adapter (used to connect both power supplies together
> Power Button

> FLOW 6.1 GPU Mining Rig Open Air Frame Computer Case Chassis with 6 USB Risers - Ethereum ETH Bitcoin BTC

I can't seem to get any output to my monitor from this device when I turn it on.  I can get the CPU fan to turn on and the GPU fan to turn on.  But I can't seem to get the 1070's LEDs to actually turn on either.

Here's a picture of my motherboard
<img src='/uploads/zcash/original/2X/f/f95c0483dccd2f83055ce1ca0498a29701b33a09.jpg'>

Any thoughts, folks?  Is there a way to test each part individually to find out if it is DOA?

Here is my TODO list for debugging currently.  Anything I should add?

Will this miner support non AMD/NVidia cards, like the MSI Radeon R9 390X?
