281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Has alt season started? on: November 23, 2019, 03:45:10 AM
To be honest, altcoin season is really hard to see these days. It's not like we are in 2017 or something. But that will still depend on your decision whether you want to risk or not. I think it is better to wait for the lower point and invest on coins like Ethereum and XRP, and other highly trusted coins since you know at some there is a good chance that the will bounce back.
Investing in the top altcoins is the right thing to do but I do not know if the timing is right, the market is experimenting a huge decrease in the price and it does not seem like it is going to stop, so it is important that if you take the decision to buy altcoins that you think about it and see if this is the right time because if you buy your coins too soon you will have to hold them for years before having any chance to recover your money.
282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term VS Daily Trading on: November 23, 2019, 02:06:02 AM
Totally a matter of personal preference. If someone is a bit lazy but clever one, he should go with long term trading. That will save him the trouble of checking the changing prices every other moment. However, his holding must be a potential one like bitcoin so that his wait will not become a waste eventually. Short term trading is the better one and hectic one too. Within short time, trader can earn more.
You can earn more if you are a short term trader but you can lose more as well, short term trading is by far the most difficult way to trade and yet it is the most popular amongst newbies and that is definitely a problem, it is better in this market to start your journey in a slow way and only try long term trades and you can change this once you have corroborated you can be successful, but very few try this approach and eventually suffer the consequences of not doing so.
Short term trading needs also more expertise in trading and demands higher risks because if you trade with the wrong time, you will only lose your money in just a sudden. While long term trading has less risks and is stress free because you will still get profits just by sitting in your chair waiting for your coins to increase its price. No need to monitor daily the price charts just like what a short term trader should do.
Many underestimate the risk of being a short term trader but even more important they do not really understand how time consuming it may be, I tried day trading in the past and while I got some small profits it was incredibly tiring, I already have a job so I only traded during my free time and it was too stressful as well, but long term trading offers great profits and it is something that I can do in a matter of minutes and it does not affect at all the rest of my daily activities.
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: November 23, 2019, 12:45:50 AM
We have been doing same mistakes again and again that's by reacting to the market fluctuations as either we tend to start buying like there is no tomorrow when we see pump or else panic and empty our coffers for slightest  dump and the reason I am suggesting you all to stop reacting is for the fact that the bitcoin market is going through quick pump and dump from past 4 or 5 days so it will prove fatal if we sell out or buy at this point of time. Just take some time and look observe the trend for week or so before jumping into any conclusion.

You cannot blame most of the people who are inclined into day-trading or short-term investments as they primarily rely on the fluctuations on the price of BTCs to earn cash for their use.
Unlike people who HODL their BTCs for long-term realization, there are also people who focus on a different path but with the same goal in mind- which is to profit.

Every fluctuation on the price, whether the increase/decrease may be relatively small/big, is definitely a big-deal to people who own large amounts of resources. To be honest, you really cannot blame them.
I do really have any problem with short term traders, they are just using a different philosophy to trade the markets than the ones that prefer to hold their coins, the great problem for short term traders is that it is incredibly difficult to get profits in this market especially when the market moves abruptly by no apparent reason, and if for some reason you forget to set a stop loss by the moment that you react and sell your coins your losses can be very significant.
284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: November 23, 2019, 12:27:40 AM
As an investor I only invest in solid coins and HODL. I have seen over the years that crypto market rearly follow news and predictions. Most of the time I bought BTC based on news but in loss as nothing happened. Best is to buy on dip and be patient.
Most of the news are fake anyway, just a few weeks ago people were really excited because supposedly the Chinese government was interested in cryptocurrencies and the price went up, but the Chinese government is only interested in creating their own coins with their own blockchain that they control so this market is not going to benefit at all from such coin and if anything it is going to be a strong competitor to bitcoin and the rest of the altcoins.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TOP25/50 COINS on: November 22, 2019, 03:48:13 AM
I will say that it is safe, but to prevent confused because there are too much option usually i only pick top 10 coinmarketcap. But only for trading in long term, i already change my strategy only do buy and hold big coin like Bitcoin and Ethereum for now. Maybe will keep like this until halving come.
The change that you made to your strategy is correct, this is not the moment to speculate with altcoins, this is the moment to invest in the safest coins in the market, if at some point in the future we begin to see something similar to what happened to altcoins some years ago then that will be the perfect moment to speculate with those coins because the profits that you could get are very superior to whatever you can get with bitcoin or ethereum.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Ways to earn crypto without investing or mining on: November 22, 2019, 01:55:18 AM
That has been a waste of time during the last year and this year has not been that much better, there was a time in which participating in those campaigns was extremely profitable but since then many things have happened that has limited the effectiveness of participating in those campaigns, icos began to ask for KYC information, then the market crashed, no one wanted to invest in icos which made a lot of projects fail before they even began and scammers did not paid bounty hunters after they completed their job.

Yes actually, been very active last year in bounty campaign too, but none of them paid me right, or if they paid tokens just to say they are legit but they didn't enter exchange at all, so it is really useless. I can't imagine how bounty have come to that compare to the past few years wherein bounties have been profitable and have change the life of majority of bounty hunters.
It is not really difficult to understand why bounty campaigns went from being extremely profitable to give no profits at all, a basic reason is the supply and demand, when people realized that you could make a lot of money doing bounties we saw a tremendous increase in the amount of members in this forum, this increased the supply of bounty hunters and in return this diminished the profits that each one of them could get and eventually it made bounty hunting unprofitable.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: November 22, 2019, 01:07:04 AM
We are still in the accumulation stage before the big altcoins rally.
I will definitely agree with you that now is our chance, actually as long as the market are still struggling, this always gives us a chance to accumulate at a very cheap price.

most of the altcoins now are just holding like 20% or even less of their value during their ATH because they suffers a lot from the long bear market.
And now, if we believe the correction is over and maybe this resulted to oversold of altcoins, then maybe its time to believe that the price will bounce back at the right time.
It is interesting how when watching a chart people can interpret it in many different ways, when you were watching an accumulation stage in the market I was seeing nothing more but an attempt by the whales to try to manipulate the price, the recent decrease in the price of most altcoins could indicate that I was right, but you never know with this market that can move in unexpected ways, I could be the one that is wrong and in the next months and altcoin season could begin.
288  Economy / Speculation / Re: I wan't to believe on: November 22, 2019, 12:39:35 AM
prices of bitcoin already rose from 600 usd per btc to over 10000 usd per btc . this is exellent investement compared to other stock like gold .... at 2017 most of traders dont think that prices can grow to current prices ; but other or little traders who hope and believe about bitcoin the dream is true now and bitcoin have big value and can rise again to other high level

$600? $10000? I don't understand what you think these amounts mean, but the price of Bitcoin at the beginning was $ and its ATH is $ 20089

Think what people were thinking about in 2011 when the BTC price was $4- $5 when someone said Bitcoin would be worth $20k. I'm sure they reacted with laughter.
It is not surprising that now people also react with laughter when someone says that the price of Bitcoin will be $1M
While the reactions are probably similar the circumstances that will have to surround bitcoin in order to reach those prices are very different, to reach 20000 dollars we only needed a few million users around the world but if at some point in the future bitcoin is to reach one million dollars we will probably need hundreds of millions of people or maybe even a billion people to use bitcoin and that is going to be many times harder than what we have reached so far.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WILL Bounty campaigns Ever Keep to their Rules and Regulations on: November 22, 2019, 12:20:00 AM
might still be possible if indeed the crypto market trends are in very good condition, we have so far continued to compare about 2017 which in fact this period is a very consistent bullish period and we realize the conditions are very different from the past. so in this case it is very likely that the bounty campaign will keep their own rules when the market conditions are in a very positive condition and all this just needs to wait for the right time until the season arrives
You are mistaken if you believe that this is about the conditions of the market, the developers behind those coins do not want to pay bounty hunters what they deserve for their hard work, they are trying to save as many tokens as possible and in order to do that they are disqualifying bounty hunters after months of work when they have complied with all the rules of the campaign, that is unfair but we cannot expect any better from those scammers.
290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with margin trading. (story) on: November 21, 2019, 03:39:01 AM
I also do not advise anyone to use margin trading. This can only be done by real professionals who have worked more than 10 years in the market. Because margin trading for newcomers is a common lottery in which new traders always lose.
If you yourself do not know how to trade, then read more articles. For example, I use the Neironix because there every day there is a quality technical analysis and market review. Yes, and on the news there you can trade
It is not even about being a professional trader, margin trade is generally a risky trade and I would not advise someone to go for it, although we have so many people that are in experience about this, so they will not understand this until they try it themselves and then fail, maybe then, they will learn from their mistake.

I remember that I never listened to people’s advice about going for margin trade and the worst thing about mine is that I was even greedy about my own leverage which I really leveraged high till I lost thousands of money to Forex trading and when I heard that they introduced margin trade to cryptocurrency also, I ran away from it like my dear life was at stake because I knew the experience I had passed through in Forex.
At least you learned your lesson, there are many traders that after suffering a loss when they were margin trading they decide to take an even greater risk so they can recover their money immediately and as you may guess instead of getting their money back what they get is even more frustration and more losses, I can understand why many traders use margin trading in the Forex market because it is not as volatile, but using margin trading in this market is a terrible idea unless you know very well how to manage your risk.
291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: November 21, 2019, 03:02:07 AM
I can't afford to buy bitcoin when there is a decline again later either at the end of this year or in early 2020, I only have a little capital and only enough to buy some other cheaper Altcoin, in some time I feel being played with by bitcoin prices this time
You do not really need to buy one bitcoin you can buy whatever you can afford, I know that is very tempting to buy altcoins because you can buy a very huge number of them for a very low price but what it is the point of buying an altcoin that is going to go down in value and it is never going to recover? It is better to use your money to invest in something that you know that no matter what happens it will go up in value during the next years.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: November 21, 2019, 02:12:15 AM
Thanks for the advices; some are trivial, others interesting and useful.
the point is that now the scammers put more effort into creating a convincing presentation than in the project itself, and it becomes increasingly difficult to recognize scams.
We'll see if we can do some cleaning.
The only way to clean this market from scammers is that people stop investing in every single new project without doing their due diligence, until that happens scammers will have no reason to get out of this market when they can make so much money with so little effort, but when thousands of newbies join this market every week each one with the very same goal of becoming rich in a matter of weeks then is difficult for me to believe that the market will ever become free of scammers.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market currently being manipulated? on: November 21, 2019, 01:43:06 AM
might be being manipulated. but the question is, who is manipulating all the crypto markets? very likely to occur when this is related to the adoption of bitcoin on the market. but overall I don't think there is enough evidence to justify the existence of market manipulation that is now happening. Current markets are due to trade and demand. when everything goes down I guess it's still reasonable. not only in the crypto market but for all trades in any market using the same principle.
There are some entities in the market that can manipulate the price of all coins at the same time, they are called exchanges, and in my opinion they are one of the biggest obstacles for the progress of this market, they lie about the volume they have, they lie about the number of transactions on their books and they manipulate the price of many coins, what we need is for decentralized exchanges to be more popular and when that happens centralized exchanges and their manipulations will be a thing of the past.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you any new ideas to replace the KYC? on: November 21, 2019, 01:25:10 AM
The crypto market is decentralized, we live here as anonymous and free and we love it! But this KYC process is killing the anonymity of crypto! To invest in a good IEO you need to verify KYC, to do a good bounty project, you will have to go through KYC! But why? You guys are doing nothing with our KYC, then why you keep asking our identity? A selfie by holding my ID card, wtf! Did we ever ask you to verify your KYC when you launch a project/bounty?  Why you are not coming with another option where a freedom crypto member doesn't need to show his face?

Ok, guys, now my question to you, Have you any idea what can be good to replace the KYC method?

How I wish there is, but there isn't, we can be anonymous by holding our token but once you convert it to fiat or you become part of a centralize platform that deals with Cryptocurrency, you cannot escaped from being traced, unfortunately it will stay permanently until all of us shifted to Decentralized Exchange, which I don't think will happen sooner.
Personally I do not have any problem if we have to go through KYC when you are converting your cryptocurrency to fiat, that is their system and they can do whatever they want in the system they control, what really bothers me is that you need to go through KYC when you are using bitcoin or ethereum to buy another coin, to me that goes against the principles and the goals of cryptocurrencies in general, that is why I have never done that and I will never accept to give up my information to buy a cryptocurrency.
295  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: November 20, 2019, 03:44:33 AM
I also tend to believe that gold is one of the most optimal and less risky investments. However, this investment, for me, looks exclusively in the long term, keep this in mind.
All short and medium-term investments today involve risks; always take risks into account. Even investing in gold will not be without risk.
What is really maximally useful and less risky is investing in yourself, in training, sports and so on.

I don't know why you're talking about investing in gold in a thread about investment money, unless your investment in crypto comes from gold, but I doubt that.

Did you see the results of surveys? Young people in their 20s when asked what would they want to invest in: stocks, gold, or bitcoin, answered bitcoin. Nobody wants gold now it's the investment of our grandparents. Our parents were into stocks, real estate, domains, and we, the next generation, are into cryptocurrencies.
Just wait another 10 years until the oldest generation disappears and you'll see how we progress.
New generations will invest in new technologies, decades ago when tech stocks were becoming stronger older investors decided to ignore them as they thought they were too risky but that was because they did not understood the Internet and the potential it had to change the world, but people that were younger understood the potential, invested in them and made a fortune, and I feel the same same is happening to bitcoin and in the next decades we will prove all of those old investors wrong when bitcoin is worth many times its current value.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k? on: November 20, 2019, 02:46:05 AM
Bitcoin's dominance is very high and if Bitcoin starts to rise to $20k, the dominance will increase even more, so it is unlikely that alts will start to grow very much up and go crazy
That was not the case last December 2017, btc had its ATH that time but altcoins followed and they even are more profitable than bitcoin.
If the same trend will happen, we will see bitcoin dominance to decrease and altcoins to increase.

I would rather see that because it give balance growth to the market, if bitcoin dominance keep growing, altcoins will die and I don't think it would happen because altcoins also have a future, its part of the market and they are currently oversold, therefore my prediction would be an increase of altcoins will result to bitcoin's dominance.
I would really like to see altcoins going up in value as well but we must admit that after years of putting billions of dollars in thousands of projects the results have not been what we had expected, investors have realized this and they are thinking to themselves why we should support all of those coins that makes so many promises and then when the time comes to fulfil those promises they don't? So investors are preferring to invest in bitcoin and are not putting attention to altcoins anymore.
297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the day trading profitable ? on: November 20, 2019, 02:08:23 AM
day trading or short term trading is not good at all and is risk too much especialy for newbie and new traders.
market cant give correct result in short term. look to prices of bitcoin and compare between last year and current year . and if the market have big change fast this is the cause for danger trade of day

I agree if you say daily trading is very risky, but when you say that daily trading or short-term trading is not good at all, I disagree. many people can make a profit by doing daily trading, they take advantage of the volatility of market prices every day by taking profits little by little. sometimes someone does daily trading because they have free time and if they only invest long-term, maybe they think that free time will be wasted. usually a beginner does daily trading, because they want to learn things about trading and at the same time they want to make a profit by trading daily. so in my opinion daily trading still has benefits and I don't agree if you say daily trading is not good at all.
Many newbies do not really believe that you can make money in the markets by day trading because of the high level of difficulty that they have to face and instead of concluding that they are not ready to become day traders they come to the conclusion that if they are unable to profit from a style of trading then no one can, but we know this is the wrong conclusion, there are many traders out there making profits with day trading but it has taken them years to master their craft.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what will happen if the ethereum price decline continues? on: November 20, 2019, 01:41:01 AM
Do not worry about ethereum nothing is going to happen to it, however its price does not seem like it will recover and get to its ATH soon, but look at this from a positive angle, you can still buy ETH for a cheap price and when it finally goes up then you will get huge profits by just holding your ethereum, if the price goes below 100 dollars at some point in the future you should take that opportunity and buy all the ETH you can since it will be an opportunity like no other.
In my opinion, Ethereum can completely return to $100 if the bear market continues in the next few years because the current investment demand is still very low and investors often do not like to hold the old coins. I think you should look for a better coin as there are currently hundreds more new projects launched this year and those are worth the wait in the future. May be risk but new projects are often of interest to many whales.
During the last days the market has not performed really well and ethereum is going down like most coins, however it is holding its price better than most coins in the top 10 and that should be a positive sign, however if this negative trend continues then it is likely that the pressure of the bears will eventually surpass the buying pressure of the bulls and the price will begin to go down at a similar rate than the rest of the coins and that can be an incredible buying opportunity for those willing to wait.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now is the time to invest into alt coin on: November 20, 2019, 01:21:20 AM
The growth of rest of the altcoins always have dependence over the growth of ethereum. When it comes to ethereum it depends over the growth of bitcoin. Though it has got its own platform the dependence over bitcoin still exists.

Also this one I will not agree, if you remember, XRP were able to take the number 2 spot and it stayed their for awhile, so it really beat ETH that time period. Maybe its safe to say that altcoins can influence the big number of ETH tokens but not the entire altcoins market.
XRP may have been in the second position for some time but that did not last, the only ones that have been able to take advantage of the movements of XRP are short term traders for everyone else it has been impossible to obtain long term profits with it because XRP is unable to outperform bitcoin for long enough, but if you compare ETH and its performance against bitcoin you will see many periods in which ethereum gave great profits so between the two the choice should be easy you should pick ethereum.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: November 19, 2019, 03:11:47 AM

Its easy not to react when you have bought your coins at the bottom price of BTC but when you start buying altcoins today that had just bottomed, you'd not lift a finger when the tokens dip for about 20%. Fluctuations always happen no matter what the whales are doing since most of us are going to sell for profit whichever coins they hold. Just relax, if you are a long term holder and truly believe to BTC and the coins you have that it will rise you will still have confidence to it.

But how many are lucky enough to buy at the absolute bottom? The majority of investors will not buy at those levels and it is entirely possible that you believe we have reached the bottom and then the price keeps going down, and even if your losses at that point are small it is not odd to see many people getting worried about their holdings since they begin to wonder if the coin in which they invested will go down all the way to zero, something that is not really that rare in this market.
