1801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 09, 2017, 10:12:57 PM
We really need to find a solution for this high fee otherwise people will start dropping off bitcoin, and switch to other cryptocurrency, many bussiness which uses transactions on a daily basis are closing some of the gmabling sites are shutting down and trading has become unworthy, i suggest that high transaction fees should only be for poeple who are in a hurry who want thier transaction to be sent instantly, because for personal use and for someone who does not earn that much having high fees cut out from mu balance is somthing really bad.
1802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: June 09, 2017, 09:42:06 PM
Well not really, because if we compare bitcoin right now with the other online transaction or method of payments we will certanly see that bitcoin has more fees, PayPal and similliar payment method have fixed fees unlike bitcoin which is a growing currency that has an unstable price, and it may be true that it is relativly cheaper compared to sending money worldwide but that only comes for physical transaction not online and bitcoin is an online currencu that can't opaerate without internet.
1803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we suggest bitcoin to people after this? on: June 09, 2017, 06:42:12 PM
The only probelm here is having high fees for transactions that do not to be fast, i mean normal peopel who are not in a hurry should not use high fees to send thier transactions because they can wait a few hours, however for those who are in bussnies like trading or investing where every second matter that is where the probelm lies.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs altcoins, will they survive? on: June 08, 2017, 11:07:28 PM
It's hard as altcoins are surely on it's top right now , people used to pump dump btc now but now btc doesn't even matter and the btc dominance has also reduced from like 70% in starting of this year to what 48% or something. Even though we see the rise of altcoins many investors still trust because as dumping it would take a lot of time and plus there are way more people interested to invest in bitcoin than alts
Well, I can't say altcoins are really on top. I guess the big prices are mostly due to traders and some big companies' support. I guess the only thing where alts are used is trading among altcoins. The problem is that for a coin to be really good it needs to be used to buy some actual goods, not other coins. And this is a rather dangerous fact which we try to ignore. Btc dominance is still there, because at least it is really used on markets.
there is no doubt about bitcoin that bitcoin will service for even, but about altcoin i will like to add that there are some altcoin, who have good potential and people even like to invest their money there so they have also chance to survive for a long time. i am sure that a time will come when people will be totally depending on bitcoin and therefore i can say that bitcoin as well as some altcoin will surely survive.
Yes there are some coins which really I felt that they have a good potential to increase in price especially those coins whose developers are working for their coins actively. For example a few coins when start their promotion on the forum then they get some fame in the forum and people start to invest in that coin and the price of it start to increase from that point.
I agree many people right with the current probelms that bitcoin faces like the transaction fees and the downtime for them to get completed, are looking for an alternative ways espacillly the traders and gmabelrs wich are the ones that are affected the most that is why the coins which are belwo bitcoin and still popular are having theirchance right now and if they prove worth they may reach high prices in the future whci will make them reiable.
1805  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo fees is too high. on: June 08, 2017, 10:49:11 PM
Is there any way that we can send bitcoin without paying high redicoulis fees, for a while i have been using Xapo wallet and i have never thought that they will reach a point where they take high fees for external transactions, so what is the best wallet out there that doesn't take so much fees, i know that these are not going to the wallet company because they are for miners, but at least is there one that lets you set the fees by yourself
1806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: June 08, 2017, 10:31:29 PM
If you think 0.85$ fee is redicoulis try 5$, last time i made a transaction worth 10$ of bitcoin from my Xapo wallet to an external wallet and i hade to pay 50% standared fee, i don't know why it was that high but i know one thing for sure is that i switced my wallet as soon as that happend and now i am spectacal about making any transaction because of this high fee, this needs to end now otherwise many people will stop making transactions
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: June 08, 2017, 10:13:36 PM
The story about the unknown creator of BTC, Satoshi, amazes me.
That is really amazing as nowadays no one can start a coin anonymously and everyone want a known developer when want to invest in a new coin and any currency whose developer is not known people want the security of that in any escrow form while here in bitcoin people believe on its value and believe without knowing the developer.
i think right now withe the price of the bitcoin getting throw the roof and the fees getting higher, many people are thinking about investing in other coins that are simillar to bitcoin, like you said  it is hard for people to trust new things or coins that they don't know thier developper is
1808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: June 08, 2017, 01:52:46 PM
I think children dose not to know about bitcoin. But teenagers should know about bitcoin. Bitcoin is future money and teenagers are future generation. They know about bitcoin by Google surch, watching YouTube video.
but i think the teenagers should only introduce about bitcoin and they have no practical affair with bitcoin. they can use it only on one condition when the local shops will start accepting bitcoin for shopping and for so many other purposes, otherwise they do not have to do any thing with bitcoin.
yes i am also agree with you.  kids and children need to focus on their education, they need to complete their education first and when they complete their education then they should try to learn about bitcoin.
Well i think that bitcoin is not that really hard for them to learn or to use, i mean they could do things they already do everyday and earn bitcoin from it, like posting on social media or a couple of minutes writng posts on this forum, it could really help them affored things they can't really get origianlly, so making them be fimilliar with bitcoin at early ages helps them and helps their parents.
1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: June 08, 2017, 01:37:13 PM
With the transactions fees are getting higher, and them being slower many ways of profiting from bitcoin are getting nerfed, for exemple gambling sites are having many struggels keeping thier customers because of the high fees, trading where the prices change per minite and every second matters so having the transaction sent 4 hours later may break the deal and make you lose a lot of money.
1810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2017, 01:08:30 PM
I think people hate Bitcoin cause the don't know well about it or find it something like gambling . They can't see the point of this currency . Also it a little difficult to understand the way it is created so a lot of people "don't want to mess with it "
I agree, bitcoin can be a bit confusing to some people, and for us because we have spent quit some time learning about it and how it actually works we know what it is all about and how good it is, and for that we should try our best to explain it to them and if they chose to accept it then we could help them and welcome them and if they don't then it is their lose.
1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: June 08, 2017, 12:55:59 PM
I pretty much think that bitcoin is a lot silillar to gold right now, much like gold people used to use it for transaction pay with it treat it like it is a currency but over time with the value increasing it become more of an investment that people rush to buy it and save it and wait for the time when it has a very high value so they can start profiting out of it.
1812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crime funded by bitcoin on: June 08, 2017, 12:35:34 PM
Since Bitcoin was ever released, I've thought of the possibility of this. Will crimes be easily funded now due to bitcoin and it's anonymity? How do you think the authorities will combat this? Will this lead to a decline in the price of bitcoin? I've had this on my mind for a while now and I would like to hear your guys opinions.

I do not think that would happen if somebody intended to use Bitcoin well, because Bitcoin is not for crime and you can not turn on Bitcoin by yourself, because Bitcoin is the same digital currency as paper money used to do every transaction every day with Every Person Around the Country, this may be all the factors of social jealousy against Banks, who do not want to compete with Bitcoin.
Maybe this is just my opinion
Few people know the truth behined bitcoin uses, bitcoin is the main currency that people on the dark web use to make transaction betweeen each other and that is due to the reason that bitcoin hides your identity and you don't need any information on the other person to send him money, and this made the perfect cover for people to d thier illegal acts like selling drugs or hacking.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: June 07, 2017, 10:53:49 PM
For me Bitcoin is the future a investment. Bitcoin is opportunity for many people, I make some extra income from trading, gambling, signature campaigns and with current bitcoin price, i'm getting a satisfactory profit.
Bitcoin is no longer a risk investment anymore. It is now safe and you can ensure that the price always goes up. However, if you want to make more money from cryptocurrencies, I suggest you should not hold bitcoin anymore
Bitcoin is compared to gold and personally i think, that bitcoin is an investment that everyone that can have acess to, but the only thing here now is how bitcoin is being held right now, with the fees going higher and the transactions going slower people who have small investments can't really make a lot out of it.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: June 07, 2017, 10:39:31 PM
i have heard about bitcoin for quite some time back in 2010 but back then there were not much places where you could earn bitcoin apart from few faucets, so i haven't paied too much attention to itn until recently when the prices were about 900$ then my friend told me about it and showed a couple of ways to earn and here i am
1815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What goods have you got from bitcoin results? on: June 07, 2017, 09:12:15 PM
for a while i have used bitcoin to buy everything, by using a bitcoin debidt card which allows us to use bitcoin like regular money, but with the reacent events and the fees getting higher it has become hard to use bitcoin to buy stuff, and it is more become more like gold it has high value but cannot be used to buy stuff
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: June 07, 2017, 08:25:20 PM
i thinj most poeple agree on the fact that we all should save bitcoin at least for now, with the current high transaction fees it is hard or it is kind of improfitable to move bitcoin around or exchange it, and i think this expalins the high price that it has reached now
1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: June 07, 2017, 08:15:42 PM
So all those who think that fees are "high" should be mining. If they actually were high then you will be able to successfully compete with those miners. Fees go to the miner who will transfer bitcoins profitably. If the fee is to low then it wont be picked up by anyone. If the miner demands too much then another miner will take his/her business. That is the protocol. So if you think money is being left on the table then here is your chance to get it.
We have nothing against miners taking fees, we all know that mining bitcoin is becoming harder and harder and it is becoming more hardware demanding and requires a lot of power to mine a block, but all of this within reason i don't want to pay half the amount that i am going to send fees so that it gets picked up, paying high fees should only be for poeple who are in hurry who realy want thier transactions faster not for regular people who earn a small amount of bitcoin and struggle to move it around because of the fees.
1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 07, 2017, 08:08:02 PM
Blockchain.info wallet implemented "priority" and "regular" fee. Last night I sent $200 worth with $8 fee and it got confirmed in 1.5 hrs.

Do you think it's fair with the transaction you did with them? $8 fee is a very big amount and 1.5 hours isn't that fast with that fee.

I will guess that it is a priority fee, I've been using blockchain.info with their regular and recommended fee.

I haven't tried to adjust the fees and there's no problem to me, it's not even getting delayed for so many hours just like others are complaining.
honsastly i think there is no point in paying high fees, you should only pay fees if you really need your transaction to get faster otherwise you are wasting your money, because reight now everyone is paying fees which means all transactions have the same priority so it is going to take the same time for them to preocess it as if we did pay regural fees
1819  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: June 07, 2017, 02:18:30 PM
for me bitcoin will not die becuase it is now fully established and many private company are already using bitcoin in there transactions.
yes you are right and I am agree with you bitcoin will not die because their users are already large in numbers the knowledge of bitcoin is transfer from one person to another person through net and simple talking and some countries are also accept bitcoin and in future I hope all countries government will accept bitcoin and bitcoin will be a powerful currency of the world. And in future bitcoin will become more famous instead of die.
It is not about wether bitcoin is powerfull or not, we already established that a long time ago but the probelm is how it is treated these days and how the developpers are driving it into a bad path, where transactions are slow and fees are through the roof, you could already tell that it is going so bad when popele are complaining about it left and right and most of the gambling sites which are some of the main thing about using bitcoin shutting down left and right.
1820  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How exchanges like localbitcoins make profits? on: June 06, 2017, 01:10:12 PM
The high fees that have hit the bitcoin network these few months have affected a lot of earning methods, take for exemple trading bitcoin on localbitcoin has become not that great since you lose a lot from exchange fees and transaction fees, gambling sites are shutting left and right because of how transactions are slow and expensive
