61  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Obamas $15 Million Mansion - A Complete Hypocrisy on: September 02, 2019, 12:42:11 PM
I suspect that most of these speaking fees are from wealthy people that are paying back "Obama for laws and regulations that he passed that helped out their businesses.

Obama is just another hypocrite, acting like he cared about the poor people when he lives lavishly.  Reminds me of all the church pastors that do the same.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Payment Gateway on: September 02, 2019, 12:39:03 PM
The best way is to accept bitcoin directly and cut out all the middlemen.  This is was the whole purpose of bitcoin in the first place.  Don't let middlemen leech off your business without providing any real value to you.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im sick and tired of this Bitcoin on: August 30, 2019, 01:59:46 PM
A lot of people on this forum got it in their mind that the only way they can strike it rich is with crypto.  There are so many business opportunities out there that have nothing to do with bitcoin, don't be focused with blinders on.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5 Reasons to NOT Buy or Mine Litecoin LTC in 2019/2020 | Profitability 2019 on: August 29, 2019, 01:18:57 PM
Here is the deal LTC developers did some shady shit the first year it was built. I believe the builder could use Gpus to mine for many months while others could only mine with CPU’s.

Kano has gone into detail on this and I did some research it does appear that LTC developers did that years ago.

It was more than that, too many shady things happened, I know most of them, reason I never invested in ltc, ltc has always been a way to scam for bitcoin. That is why it was created, ltc's creator, charlie lee, won't say that but its the truth.

I wasn't around during the LTC main-net launch so this is news to me... never knew that LTC developers did this.

This actually reminds me of a similiar situation with Darkcoin (now called Dash coin) basically people analyzed the blockchain after the launch and they also did some analysis and found out that it was instamined in some way. I don't remember the details but X11 I think for a while might of been CPU only and later on it was GPU mineable. And lots of coins were pretty much premined in the early days and people have been complaining for years about the coin being shady.

Would have to find the post in the Dash thread to find out for sure though. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Every coin has some type of premine, unfair launch, dev tax, or something to make the person that created the coin rich.  Not many people are going to do something out of the goodness of their heart, they do it for hte money.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't governments illegalized bitcoin transactions? on: August 29, 2019, 01:16:48 PM
Governments actually like bitcoin for a lot of reasons, the main one is that it is easy to track.  The nature of a public blockchain means everything is out in the open.  Now privacy coins are a completely different story and many governments are trying to get those banned.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 29, 2019, 01:04:24 PM
Lottery is one of those games where you are likely never to experience a win, of course the jackpot can be huge but that is because of the super small odds.  Even if a lot of gamblers lose money overall they get a good feeling when they at least win something every now and then.
67  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The signs of Scam. on: August 29, 2019, 11:28:10 AM
Accepting paypal expands the amount of people you can transact with by a huge amount. Very few people even use crypto and the occasinal chargeback is just cost of doing business.  There is a reason why amazon is taking mostly credit/debit card payments.  It appeals to the masses and gets you more customers.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Billionaires Discussing Bitcoin on: August 29, 2019, 11:15:07 AM
Gates used to say good things about bitcoin but he really cfhanged his stance and I believe it is because of his BFF, Warren Buffet.  Buffet is heavily invested in banks and traditional credit card companies and bitcoin stands to take way from that.  Hes already insanely rich but guys like that can never have enough.
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Records achieved in the crypto world on: August 28, 2019, 02:22:55 PM
All those money collected from ICOs and most of those ICO coins and tokens do what? Almost nothing? Eugh. Imagine if those money was allocated for Bitcoin development instead. In this case at least BAT has a decent product(even though they could've used BTC through LN instead).

No one is going to pay for bitcoin development, they don't make money off that.  How many bitcoin ads do you see that are strictly promoting bitcoin and not some service? Zero.  Your essentially paying out of your pocket to pump everyones bags.

Didn't Satoshi technically abandon bitcoin, Charlie lee sold off his litecoin bags and abandoned litecoin?  Don't think you can call Dan a scammer for that.  Of course I really hate how EOS is centralized and those block producers make money doing almost nothing.  Imagine if bitcoin had block producers, lol..................
70  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos and BitcoinTalk scam on: August 28, 2019, 02:17:51 PM
Not saying I agree with the OP or even like him but I do know a good amount of bitcoin users that were here in the early days that are really upset with how the forum used the collected bitcoins.  It has been discussed on reddit and a few other places
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 28, 2019, 02:12:20 PM
It might happen someday, people used to think Myspace was the best and then Facebook overtook it.  Bitcoin has become super dominant but so have many other companies in the past and then they end up losing market share.  Also don't forget that bitcoin had a couple inflation bugs in the past.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the ICO dead? on: August 28, 2019, 02:08:38 PM
It will never die, there always be new coins popping up every week.  I'm sure there will still be some new icos that do 100x or something crazy like that, just have to be patient and only invest in what you research yourself.
73  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brazil will Reject G7 Aid Offer of $22M for Amazon Forest Fire on: August 28, 2019, 01:59:54 PM
Maybe he doesn't want them to find out why the fires really started?

The amount that is being spent to protect the environment is nothing, look at all the money they waste on the military and other ridiculous BS.  Shows where their priorities really are, they only care about the dollar and couldn't give a crap about the environment.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 28, 2019, 01:55:47 PM
It is nice to see that there ist so much feedback on my story.
I hope that I can warn others with my story so, that they do not make the same mistake.
In the end, the casino always wins.
This will not be applicable to those gamblers that are hit and run type and am fortunate to be such type. Most of my wins are done on dice platform's and once I won; disappear become very close because I don't want to lose it back to the platform, this is what many of you don't understand that makes you still disbelieve that gambling is profitable.

Casinos really don't like the hit and run types and they do everything they can so you continue to play.  No windows, no clocks, flashy lifhgts, alcohol, and free food.  Keeps people staying at their hotel and continuing to play until they usually end up in the red.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Founder of bitcoin??? on: August 28, 2019, 01:36:00 PM
Strangely James Bilal Caan claims that he was the founder of bitcoin.. But lost his hard drive.. Is this possible??

What you guys think about James? Why he use this type of statement.. Specially his explanation about his hard drive?

I mean it isn't impossible that Satoshi could lose his hard drive or it was stolen but I'm sure the creator of bitcoin would go to great lengths to protect it and keep multiple copies safe.  So you can never say with 100 percent certainty someone isn't satoshi.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 27, 2019, 12:33:30 PM
I was researching how much his salary because I was curious why we talk a lot about Tacko fall here.
I read this . https://heavy.com/sports/2019/07/tacko-fall-contract-salary-how-much/, and that article says he does not have a complete contract yet like NBA players normally have where they have fix amount of contract in a certain term, I think Tacko has to work hard here and showed his best so he will get a long term contract with the Boston.
I don't know what others think but I'm interested with Tacko because of his size and what he can bring to the Celtics team. He was not drafted and I also want to see what the Celtics management can do to take advantage of the young man's potential.

Tacko Fall surely has a potential and what is lacking in him is his agility and body build-up in which the Celtics management will focus on building for him. Of course if want to stay in the NBA, he should improve himself and be more althletic to be able to be a more fitting NBA star.

It's not impossible, being in the NBA is the ultimate success for every athlete in this sport, so once they get in, they will continue to improve to stay and to get a good amount of contract in the long run.

Tacko Fall is still young, he is still in the early stage of his career as an athlete, he has the gift of height but he needs to be a complete player if wants to have a good market, so I believe every athlete would continue improving themselves to become greats in the NBA.

On the flip side I've seen a lot of NBA players get paid and then get lazy.  They become millionaires and can buy everything they ever wanted to start to lose the drive for the game.  Many players don't even care about winning anyways, they are there for 1 reason:  money.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best marketplace? on: August 27, 2019, 12:17:45 PM
You can simply go to coinmarketcap here, https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

So that's a lot of exchanges out there by on trading volumes. I good indication that those exchanges are being used by active traders around the globe. You might want to try and select from the top ten and see how it goes for you.

Coinmarketcap is best avoided, they are known to show fake volumes.  There are a lot of better alternatives that only show legit volume and don't promote scam projects on their advertisements.  Really wish people would stop using their website.
78  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It costs more to use bitcoin on bitpay than bitcoin cash on: August 27, 2019, 12:10:57 PM

Several times make a purchase through bitpay on namecheap these days and yuppp they are indeed looks like force users to swap to bitcoin cash with its higher fee on bitcoin. I'm not happy with that , not a big fan of bitcoin cash though.

Bitpay getting fucked with their recent  policy change .. especially about how KYC needed for certain amount on transactions.
I do not have bCash shit. So even if I wanted to pay using bCash, I can not. To save ~0.50 or $1, I am not going through all these hassle to buy bCash shit and then pay through bitPay. I will directly pay using my BTC and this is what I do in fact. I am a namecheap customer so I use BitPay very often however I do not like this BitPay shit.

I hope a new business comes up and replace their service which will be Bitcoin focused.

A lot of bitcoiners hold both, I always suggested the smart thing to do was to hold both coins at the fork.  BCH has hung around better than a lot of people expected and I wouldn't be surprised if it pumped to insane levels like it did during the last bull run.

Middlemen are annoying and add no real value, the whole point of bitcoin was to cut out middlemen in the first place.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LONG XRP/USD Prediction for 2020-2023 on: August 27, 2019, 12:03:39 PM
I'm not sure xrp will continue to rise, the founders still have a bunch of coins to be dumped on the market and people aren't very interested in a coin with that much centralization.  Better of longing bitcoin or ethereum if you want to make a lot of money.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on: August 27, 2019, 11:57:58 AM
Is there a betting site that supports this? It's not the best betting game after all since there could be biased judging in here right?

Same thing goes for gymnastics, figure skating, etc. but people still like to bet on these types of events.

I'm sure Ariana Grande will easily win this, "Thank u Next" and "7 rings" were #1 records and I heard those being played everywhere.  She also got hyped up a lot by performing with Nsync this year.
