981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: (BTL) BitLeu buy/sell thread on: March 21, 2014, 01:51:15 PM
you can guarantee a buy at that price?
i have messaged lumberinvestments to see if between us we can do that sale, and i have messaged cryptoaltex to see if we donate the entire 0.3BTC, if we can have the coin put straight on the exchange

if this can be done it will be a 1 off sale! just to get the coin listed on exchanges

Sounds good! I'll grab the porcorn.

Groestl on a 6950, tried for the heck of it...pretty damn cool :p 10mh/s without any tweaking.

god damn ... and I was proud when I got my 280xs to push 10mh ...

Groestl is basically just for 5XXX and 6XXX cards. My old ass 5850s easily get 7+ MH.

Yeah, I was bummed when I found out...a guy had offered me TWO 5830s for my 6950. I could have gotten to 20mh/s easily with them lol

can you share some more info? algo? hashrate? how many coins?

I've tried it and it's not worth it at all...

Gotcha :p

I think the readme has all the info I ask about lol...missed that.

Does this coin offer resistance against crypt-asic miners?

Yup it does...it might not resist sha3 asics though, if those were ever adapted to mining these particular sha3 algos.

Well, nxt-e listed fugue...why not give that a shot?
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] Yacminer GPU miner for Yacoin on: March 20, 2014, 01:58:15 PM
Trying to understand the thought process...

-i 8 = 256 threads?
So i 11 = 2048 and 12 4096?

What I don't understand completely is the way ram allocation works for different algorithms and n factors.
For instance, say we want to configure an R9 270 4GB card to mine vertcoin and the n factor at the moment makes the algorithm use twice as much memory as it does today (like a year had passed).

The card has 1280 shaders, 4gb of ram. Max amount of threads it can run in this scenario should be calculated as follows (88% of the ram is usable in this theoretic scenario): T*(512/LG)=3700987 ->vram expressed in kb

Is that correct?
As for lookup gap, it depends on if the card has enough ram to allocate all threads in the buffer that saturate the shader count. How do I determine that? Trial and error?

I ask because I want to create a tool to auto-tune cards for different algos and n factors based on your logic.
Thanks!

Expect a donation anytime soon, you've been doing an awesome job lately. Cheesy

I do split all recent donations with the other Christian evenly.  Just to let you know.

Christian

I thought he was a clone slave? :p

IDEM .

hey guys. I am getting 80 MHash/s on 750Ti with Fuguecoin with a binary built for Compute 3.5 - I think we'll put out an update tonight, possibly including a Compute 3.5 build in addition to the 2.0 build.

Also a GTX 570 will do 100 MHash then, a 580 probably more (130?)

I also included the "Google Chrome trick" as part of ccminer. It now requests 1ms multimedia timer precision on its own so you don't have to rely on Chrome, Flash, Windows Media Player to do this for you Wink

Christian

This is really neat!!!

I'll wait for the 3.5 binaries...don't trust cryptomining blog to do it for me.

5.2kh/s with no HW?

Those are 2 or 4gb cards?  Shocked
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTL] Bitleu - a cryptocurrency for Romania - ASIC and MultiPool proof ! on: March 20, 2014, 09:57:02 AM
Once N factor changes, difficulty will go down and rewards will increase. Money supply stays pretty much the same, only thing that changes is that mining hardware will perform more or less the same, and cpu's won't be so slow compared to gpus when we get to N factor 12 and up.

Sounds good...0.5 for 2500kh/s is pretty legit. No maintenance nor hassle too.

Say we mine Doge, we should be able to get between 0.01 and 0.015 btc per day.

To get that currently you'd need to have 3 R9 290s which draw 288w from the psu and cost 500usd each!

KNC Titan coming...expect hardware manufacturers/cartels to centralize scrypt mining anytime soon.
cough Ghash.io cough

We need asic resistance to ensure descentralization and fair distribution of coins.

Yeah, big +1 Cheesy

I have one already, for testing...pretty darn good.

Mining HVC now, it has a clear advantage over amd with that coin, yac and other jane coins are nice too. BTL will be faster on a 750 than on a 7950/280x eventually.

Christian, ain't getting a single block here  Huh

230mh/s (780+750ti)

WTH?

Settings: x64\ccminer.exe -q -s 1 -t 2 -a fugue256 -o 127.0.0.1:9089 -u ivanlabrie.1 -p x

Stock compute 2.0 binaries posted at your github.

lol, sad but true.

Hey Chuck, you should post some profitability figures and futurology.

These things mine btc and ltc or only LTC/DOGE/whatever?

Personally I think, based on Chuck's and KNC's reputation that these shares will be a worthwhile investment if you're patient.
Last time I made a nice profit, even though we had to sell the unit earlier than expected, got ROI and some extra btc.

Sorry I misread this information. If lspci shows your card ID and dmesg won't tell anything, it's maybe because of your nVidia-driver? What kind of version did you install ?

I suggest to reinstall ubuntu and only install nvidia-driver from nVidia site. It is much faster to determine what causes your trouble now.

i recommend you got with Ubuntu 12.04
yes it doesn't look nice but its also the most supported for drivers and cuda.

We need bamt 2.0 64bit for NVIDIA.  Cool

im confused as hell right now...

im not trying to make things difficult for anyone, but to me this looks like a scam and im not part of the last GB, but I am very familiar with names of the GB leaders so this was a red flag to begin with...

ive been scammed before and it sucks and just trying to prevent..

I will remove negative rating since there is vouching for the OP

concur - I do not understand why someone wouldn't be able to log back into their own forum account?  Or seek assistance on resetting/reactivating it instead of just making a new one. (makes zero sense)... esp if they want to run another GB.

I would hope that a mod checks out both accounts and looks at the IPs and verify any red flags..

We can ask a mod to do so, I'll see if I can buy a share, I trust this guy completely.

I can vouch for Chuck, he is indeed the same guy (I have his skype and email).

He's 100% legit and one of the most trust-worthy guys you'll find in this forum.

Please remove the negative ratings, if someone doesn't deserve them is Chuck999.
