482  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Germans rule the world = Deutschland über alles! on: April 14, 2013, 09:31:19 AM
I believe Germany is poised to become the superpower of the world once again. In my understanding they are second only to the U.S. in bitcoin ownership currently, and their usage is growing faster. Unlike the Americans of today, the Germans are thrifty people. The bitcoin street price is higher in Germany than in the U.S., which is an indication that bitcoins are flowing to the country. Ich denke daß ich bald mal beachten müssen werde, deutsch zu lernen. Correct me if I am wrong!

Thank you for telling us this , will sell to Germans .
483  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CGMiner with multiple gpu's (bump:.5 LTC reward) on: April 14, 2013, 09:20:02 AM
Hello, Ive been using EasyLTC for the longest time but I now want to switch to cgminer for stratum support. Issue is when trying to run the .bat cgminer opens then closes rapidly. Whats wrong?

"cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.give-me-ltc.com:3333 -u 6135870.5770-1 -p 1321 --shaders 1408,1600,1600 --intensity 18,18,18 --worksize 256,256,256 --thread-concurrency 8000,6144,6144 -g 1"

EDIT: dev0 6950, dev1 5870, dev2 5870

EDIT TWO: I did try guiminer but when running three clients, one 5870 was out putting 360Kh/s while the other was at ~420Kh/s;6950 at ~430Kh/s. From what I've read cgminer is the best, once running.

what is your motherboard name and ram specs.

I would not trade @ Bitfloor.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NOTROLL.IN admin overnight withdrew 25% of our coins from our balances ! on: April 14, 2013, 08:31:52 AM
Careful people, yesterday night our savings, hosted on our balance on http://notroll.in , biggest litecoin pool in the world, were plundered by admin.

Everybody has lost 25% of his total savings, we're screwed.

Anyone has any suggestion?

Any screenshot as proof?

490  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Bitcoin Exchange Co-founders Needed on: April 14, 2013, 06:29:15 AM
I'm looking for people with complimentary skills to co-found a new Bitcoin Exchange.

My skill set is largely technical oriented in the area of IT infrastructure and coding. I'm looking for other entrepreneurial people with skills in coding, web design, finance, advertising and public relations to share in this project. Like me, you should have a passion for all things Bitcoin and its future.

The company / cooperative would be responsible for building and managing a trusted, secure, reliable, resilient and scalable exchange.

If you're interested in becoming a part of this venture please PM me with your details (name, country, e-mail etc) and where you could fit into the team. Depending on the response I'll setup a forum or mailing list.

Cheers,
Bowdie

492  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: new drivers wont load all 5 cards. on: April 14, 2013, 05:39:57 AM

Ok.  so most of my farm i have 5 or 6 cards to each rig.  (gd70's, 5870's, 5850,s etc).

last year i started building out the 7970 rigs with 5 cards.. no problem with the beta driver: (amd_radeon_hd7900_win7_64)

now i have purchased some new 7950's.  they dont hash as fast with the older drivers (~30% less).

as soon as i install any driver 12.1 or newer, only 4 of the cards will load the drivers.  windows and msiafterburner sees all 5 cards, but only 4 will load drivers.  wtf?

anyone else experience this?
any help would be appreciated .. possible bounty!

Hi! I am very much a beginner myself, but one thought would be to look at running a custom algorithm development system. This would be helpful if you expect to see the effects between many other variables that may be useful.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good idea to start mining Litecoins? on: April 14, 2013, 04:07:45 AM
However, it is unlikely to be profitable to mine using your own electricity unless you have access to free electricity(Work/School).

498  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Confiscation on: April 13, 2013, 02:34:03 PM
Coins are anonymous if your identity and your public key address are not connected. You just transfer them to a new address and it's going to be very hard to prove that you're also that new address. Plus, there are coin washing machines, coin mixing services, and shared hosted wallets, and even gambling games that send you back money that went through them. Sooner or later, zerocoin is going to be implemented.

Indeed, if we all traded in our dollars and dollar assets, and fully restandardized the global monetary system on bitcoins are technically a far superior design to date.

500  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Question about customs and bitcoin on: April 13, 2013, 01:20:42 PM
It can accomplish a great deal towards that end. Transactions can be anonymous, and are not thwarted by customs, tariffs, regulations, taxes, etc.
