User Oldsport tried to scam me (prove me wrong if you didn't) - others, pay attention!

Thanks, but I offer 10.5 LTC / 1k.

As in topic. I am only willing to send first to users with a positive reputation here.

It's not about YAC being a scam or not, but this is the biggest "premine" I've seen so far here (not really premine, as all had equal opportunity to jump in - though the launch was not at the previously set time) Based on the description this coin has 10 minute PoW block targets, yet even now there are blocks being found every 1-3 seconds. There are already 14.5k blocks mined - compare that to NVC, which has 19971 (!!!) or FTC, which has "only" 32546 blocks mined, having a 4* faster block target.. Even BTB, that is many times attacked for being a premined coin has 6531 blocks mined so far. I consider this a way bigger advantage for early adaptors than ANY other coin had so far. And it's only a few hours gone so far, I wonder how these statistics will look like tomorrow at this time. It's up to the market (us) to decide if we accept this though.

There is no link yet for BTB/BTC on Bter. Wait for that first guys... At the moment only forum members here know about this possibility.

reward is about 0.15BTB/block now

Can someone who is knowledgable provide some predictions for the future supply of bitbars? I would like to know at what rate they are being mined, and what is the predicted supply in say: 1 week 4 weeks 3 months 6 months Currently we have ( http://bitbar.info/stats/index.php): BitBar Network Stats: (Last updated: 2013-05-08 00:56:53 UTC/GMT) Difficulty: 20.0722 Total block: 6482 Total money supply: 2747.91921 Last block reward: 0.156952 Network hash rate (Gh/s): 0.599 This is simply impossible. If you could predict the less volatile bitcoin market a few months in advance it would be easy to make a fortune. But short term is possible: if hashing power stays relatively stable, there would be around 21-25 bitbars generated by the whole network on a daily basis.

Bitsinmyhead: exactly this I wanted to ask.
Shall we use cpuminer or the inbuild miner?

I could find a block solo previous night. Not sure if such delight will ever happen again once many start mining it Wait a bit

Anybody has a link to the windows binary? mega.co.nz not working here :/

Well, there definitely is a market for it in case OP can sell so many here.

I honestly think that to gain some credibility alt crypto's like bitbar need to take it slow. Rushing to get BTB onto say, BTC-e, would be ultimately bad for the currency. I agree with all the points OP had, but I would like to see some restraint for once.
At least prove to the community that a new alt can be used to not simply sell for a quick buck. More giveaways would be perfect, and I completely agree about increasing circulation.
The better circulated an alt is BEFORE getting anywhere near exchanges, the better.
Also, I believe network hash rate is somewhere between 200-400MH/s. I've been told 400MH/s is most accurate (and it's growing quickly).
Completely agree. Keep it slow, that helps the coin in the long term. However, it would be beneficial to have another pool or some p2pools. Solo mining is getting more and more difficult.

Guys - relax. Let it mature a bit. Over time the amount of people interested in the coin will increase, which will increase the prices in the long run. If it gets introduced to an exchange very quickly everyone will be dumping, thus destroying the value of the coin. Take a look at CNC - I bet it will continue decreasing in value, and has already gone down compared to the opening price (which was round 0.003).

Corsair HX/AX series is usually a good choice.

Wow, you raised the last blocks found list to show the last 500, thanks!!
250 is far enough imho Wow, we're some 48 hours behind in getting 520 confirms. The BTB network is really really slow... In general 520 confirmations should take days. Calculating with 10 minute blocks there are 6*24 = 144 blocks a day, thus close to 4 days for a mined block to mature.

LTC is still 0.03x, so it went down with like a few percent max. It's definitely the strongest alt currency.
The devaluation of FTC/CNC was predictable - they were totally overvalued because of the hype.

05.05.2013 New registrations are closed.
I'm hoping for others to create another pool.

ALL altcoins can be considered scams, it's all about your risk tolerance.
For the smallest possibility of zeroing yourself (well, go bonds if you really want to limit risk), go with BTC. For increased risk, go with LTC. The rest is even more risky. The logic is really simple: If BTC bursts, every other coin is devalued along with it. If FTC bursts, nothing happens..

Registrations are closed on the hub (probably to limit having too much % of the hashpower), so it's a nice opportunity for other pool owners to make the second btb pool.
