Should bounce from here. Very low risk/High Reward trade.
Thank you, bro. I've lost 20% today After seing his post I went to see the definiton of the bull flag: It's the other way round when the waves are going up, whille the zec waves aregoing down => It should continue falling (probably very fast from here, confidence is gone after support on 130 was lost but I'm not an analyst, just my opinion) Most of guys here like to mine at flypool (me also).. But with this scenario (ZEC looks like is going to die) i am mining at NiceHash (becouse it is in BTC auto trade) and maybe soon i will go back to ETH.. The BIG problem with zcash right now, is that it's not working...What I mean is without the Z adresses actually usable, the coin is worthless.

Amazing...
~130 Sols on RX470...
Now I'm getting interested. Witch mem straps do you use?
|
|
|
yup...faster than SAv5. But I'm sure SA will catch up soon Edit: maybe not as stable, just had a crash. Yes it's faster, with 3 Rx 480 I've got from ~265 sol/s with silentarmy to 310 - 365 sol/s with this. But it crashed on GPU #0 after ~10 minutes and only a reset helped with it, so my vote is on silentarmy! You are doing great guys! I had a rig crash and now it crashes each time I start optiminer. The rig just restarts. As I said previously, not stable or it asks too much to my cards...don't now

@Marc @Genoil and other SA devs,
In v5, running two instances does not give more S/s (at least in my experience). This could be a way for improvement. in v3 running second instance was bringing +25-30%.
If I look at the new competitor Optiminer, he's results with two instances show what you could obtain with SAv5 + 25% with second instance.
Good luck and much thanks for good work.

how to change our GPU Memory Clock in Linux? i want to lower my mod GPU Memory Clock. Thanks
if you have amd card not compatible with the overclocking softwares, do the following: echo "manual" > /sys/class/drm/card*/device/power_dpm_force_performance_level echo x > /sys/class/drm/card*/device/pp_dpm_sclk x between 1 and 7,7 is highest clock ; '*' can stay as is for ALL GPUs, or you can put a selected GPU. first GPU is card0

now claymore will take optimizations from this open source and make his miner even faster lol
Stop accusing for something you have no evidence man. If he uses he will mention it..he is just human and made a mistake are you perfect man? Morons and trolls around here ... You are just making me lol. Why the hell is this starting again. SA is open source, Claymore can use it if he wants as long as he gives credit. Read the licence .

NEW MRB SILENTARMY V5 DOUBLES SOLS/S-- I cloned git, compiled the new v5, and substituted the freshly compiled "sa-solver" and "silentarmy" binaries into my mining directory. Below is a before-and-after screen capture of my R9 280X rig: Four R9 280X cards, before and after SilentArmy v5 Of course, shortly after the screen capture, I began receiving shares. Lots of them! --scryptr EDIT: All of my AMD rigs (R7, R9, RX) have doubled or better the Sols/s rate. I only have one Kill-a-Watt meter, and my 4 card RX 470 rig is now mining at 530 Watts, before it was mining at 520 Watts. --scryptr Are your cards stock or modded?

470 is 4gb or 8gb
What speed at gpu and memory is custom rom
4gb 1150/1950 homemade roms Nota: cpu usage is 1-2% with SA for those with weak cpus

Big breakthrough on silentarmy side, I get now 85 S/s per RX 470
Total 173.4 sol/s [dev0 87.8, dev1 87.5] 9 shares Total 174.1 sol/s [dev0 85.8, dev1 87.6] 9 shares Total 173.7 sol/s [dev0 85.2, dev1 86.0] 9 shares

It's hard to see why ZCL is more profitable than ZEC. What are people basing that on?
I can see why people want it to be but I don't see how it is right now.
Have you calculated it? It depends on some factors, like difficulty, total hashrate, pools (to some degree). And it constantly changes. So it's always some kind of gamble involved, imho, depending on where the price moves and how fast you can get your mined coins to the markets. I'm just doing both, now started with ZCL for a few hours and doesn't seem like a lot of coin bits are being accumulated. ZEC is 50 times the price, at least, don't remember exactly. Ya, I'm not feeling it yet with this coin lol EDIT: based on 6 hours of mining vs earnings... its dead even with where ZEC is right now... so pick your poison lol toss up. I have to ask myself, so which coin do I think holds the best chance of going up? ZCL is profitable, or at least WAS. Now it's on whattomine and net hashrate jump high. Besides it was harder to sell today compare to yesterday. Therefor I now split my hashrate between ZCL and ZEC.

V3.1 +15-20% with RX470 4GB. VRAM usage is close to the limit. CPU usage very high with old Q6600
are you using -i option ? yes -i 2

Yes. Sorry, not yet. Is there any windows version available?
Ok. Can i use VPS (linux based) for mining? Any recommended VPS company? cheap also... On a VPS you will not have AVX enabled, thus very low hashrate.

i find it working very bad, and i'm not alone with this.
Genoil's may not be the problem, overclocking and pool instability don't help. I got mine stable over 7 hours after downclocking memory and change of pool. And with the same setup zogminer is now stable too. A lot of people just switched their rigs from eth to zec , it may not be that simple for some reason.

you planing on releasing linux binaries?
Probably not anytime soon. https://github.com/Genoil/ZECMiner/issues/22Marc is already working on adding stratum support to his equihash solver, so that may happen before JW does a Linux port. I've been looking at the kernel as well, and may take a shot at implementing stratum support if it looks like Marc gets delayed in his work. I hope one of you guys finds a way to reduce memory usage, I would love to try zec zec zec or even zec zec zec zec :-D

does this -k causes any effect on mining ? My -i setting was 20. But it seems -i 15 do the same. what if I use -k zec and -k zec zec ?
-k zec zec opens a second thread. With my setup I get +30%.But you need 4GB at least

Did anyone with 390(X), RX470, RX480 try silentarmy?
I think it is broken for everyone, tried on RX470 4gb Works for me on modified RX 470 4G with zcashclient-0.2.0: 30 sol/s with one instance. 34 with 2 instances.

there's a new competitor in town: https://github.com/mbevand/silentarmyextract: "Performance
45.7 Sol/s with one R9 Nano 39.6 Sol/s with one RX 480
Note: the code is currently very poorly optimized; it makes zero attempts to keep the queue of OpenCL commands full, therefore one needs to run 2 instances of SILENTARMY in parallel on the same GPU to keep it well utilized."
