there's only cryptopia exchange (and maybe now Nova) having sigt

anyone else getting a ton of "illegal memory" errors?  is there a fix?

It's usually because of too much overclocking
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 06, 2017, 11:16:35 AM
Hey guys,

What miner do you use for SIGT? With ccminer one of my 6x1080ti rigs crashes without any message (btw, who knows how to setup logging to file?), the second one works perfectly. Tried ccminer-skunk-jha-master and Palginmod versions.

I have same problem, only I have a rig with 7 1080ti

How often do they crash? If it's just an occassional thing, you can setup auto reboot script every few hr.

My 1080ti rigs are never as stable as AMD rigs, hence they auto reboot every 2hrs.
Do you reboot the entire system or just quit and restart your miner?

My GPU#0 sometimes will end up at stock clock speed around 1500 MHz, while the other three will stay at their boosted speed of 1950 MHz.  A reboot usually resolves that.
I have unstable problem only when I mine SGIT, when I mine ZEC it is very stable, I think the problem is in miner

Being stable on one algo does not mean always stable. I had to lower core overclocking on all my cards to mine SIGT.
In your example, I think  ZEC uses more the memory than skunk, hence the required overclocking has to be different for best results.

Your 1070 sucks and/or you suck at OCing/cooling/power delivery/everything it takes to be a miner.
No I wrote it down wrong
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: July 06, 2017, 01:18:04 PM

The current spreadcoin network is around 3000 AMD rx 580 cards mining with the opensource miner. If someone add 3000 cards and the price stays the same, the profit goes down to $7.5 a day. So then you can switch to nexus or cryptonite sp-mod to keep the $15 a day.

These coins are not so small, cannot be mined on multipools or nicehash

NEXUS MCAP $58 MUSD (58th biggest coin in the world)
Spreadcoin MCAP 12 MUSD
Cryptonite MCAP 10.2 MUSD

Then we should all abandon other mining stuff and direct our rigs into these coins Smiley But then the profitability will decrease I guess.

How this solo mining works? Can your private miner mine that relative coin to an exchange wallet such as Bittrex SPR or do I setup a local wallet on my rig, fill it and then send to another SPR exchange account?
Is solo mining networked but not pooled? Who decides how many coins I earn?

I actually know nothing on these coins and solo mining.
local wallet. And the time you sync to be able to solo mine the profit will be gone I guess.

Well, lets figure those algos out 1080tis are doing good compared to 1070s:

Valueable coins:
1. LBRY (LBC) +67%
2. X11Gost (SIB) +77%
3. Lyra2REv2 (VTC, Mona) +76%
4. Skein (DGB) +70%

5. Sia +69%
6. Decred +70%
7. Pascal +82%
8. Equihash (ZEC with forks) +58% (not good rate really)

Low-cap "Shitcoins":
9. C11 (CHC) +67%
10. Blake2s (lots of..) +69%
11. HMQ1725 (BOAT) +71%
12. Tribus (DNR) +74%
13. maybe Nist5 (XLR) with only +55%

There many other algos, but I did not compared them due to low profit.
Correct me if I did something wrong.

Well how did you compare? Because at least on skein, with same consumption, 1080ti is >100% of a 1070
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will mining profitability keep going down, or will it stop - or increase? on: July 04, 2017, 08:48:58 PM
From what i've seen mining is going up and down on a "regular" bases, sometime you make good money and sometimes not. I wouldn't invest more than I can aford.
On the other hand when mining profitability is low, it's the good moment to accumulate coins to sell them later. If you don't believe in cryptos future there's no point mining...
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 28, 2017, 09:09:50 PM

What made the Ti's a bad choice was their upfront cost...Which isn't that much in a world where people are paying 450 for a 1070

The upfront cost is not a problem as long as the revenue is better. But GDDR5X is a problem for now.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 28, 2017, 04:18:34 PM
So you guys would recommend 3x 1070 over 2x 1080ti?

that depends on what you plan to mine and how much room you have (1080ti takes less room for same hashrate or same room for more hashrate).

But for a card that is good on every algo, today I would choose 1070, tomorrow it could be something else ;-)

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 28, 2017, 01:04:17 PM
Any special reason so many are mining DGB?

Profits don't realy look good, with 1Gh/s you're geting what? 7-8$/day?

1080ti is not at is best on all algos. But it likes skein, x2 compared to 1070 while on equihash you would have only x1.5 for exemple. on ETH it's even only x1.1.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.0 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: June 26, 2017, 11:23:02 AM
did a quick search, didn't find much relevant to this:

Suddenly when I run ccminer 2.0 for lbry or lyra2rev2 both of my rigs exhibit a behavior where they will instantly power down. Its not power related, they are on separate circuits, have been running zcash mining 24/7 for several weeks.

Intermittently, usually within 5 seconds to a few minutes there will be instant power off. Using CUDA and gtx 1080's and gtx 1080tis in separate rigs.

There's nothing in event viewer after the fact, and the shutdown is not a blue screen - instant power cut (and subsequently reboots due to BIOS reboot on power loss).

Has anyone else experienced this before? Its crazy, and only ccminer does this. I've tried 1.85 as well, different nvidia driver versions (382.53 newest atm). Super weird.

NOTE: It really isn't power related - I'm nowhere near limits of current / temperature. One of the crashes did take longer than usual, and I was able to get a windows 10 kernel MEMORY.DMP. I'm almost certain its an nvidia driver fault.

Hi,
I have the same issue with my aorus 1080TI even when it's on it's own in a rig. I'm pretty convinced it's power related as the TDP is average, there can be higher spikes, and the 1080 TI can be very demanding.
I'm planing to test with another (better) power supply when I get my hands on it.

At first the 1080ti was in a rig with 1070s, the 1070 without it don't trigger the restart.

correction:

LOL

its not "angry bird" but "angry chicken"

its not 1070s but 580

nevertheless.... 11 x GPUs is a quite a feat

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPGxVUaSdvc

today has been a horrid day for me mining Sad .......
But i did get this beauty in the mail finally after over 30 days of waiting.....

I ordered one like that a few weeks ago.

post results soon when you get it going.

I saw angrybirds's build: 11 x 1070s, 7+2xM2 with 2 splitters = 11 GPUs working with 2 x PSUs

I decided to go density with the 1070s because its draws so little power, 6 x GPU at 660w@25MH ETH, even at 12 x GPU under 1300w is amazing.

Do you have the link to angrybird's build? Would like to see that  Wink
I read somewhere this splitters are suppose to work only with AMD cards. What do you plan to run at them?
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 24, 2017, 03:48:28 PM
Can anyone explain why Nvidia with its 11 GB memory 1080Tis, are not as good or what appears on the surface better memory then the AMD RX cards for mining ETH?
Am i missing something in regards to why AMD is so much better for ETH in particular?
1080ti has gddr5x memory vs gddr5 on 1070 and amd cards
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 22, 2017, 08:48:00 PM
ya yiimp and zpool use address as worker, but supernova uses a worker you create on worker page yupp
you can use the same worker name for different pools, keeps things simple, tho i believe each COIN you will have to make the worker off the bat the first time

And ya man just set the payment address there and min payout amount under "edit account" yupp Smiley

Ya my ti has similar clocks on skein and similar efficency, its quite nice, i believe mine was about 4.3-4.5 so at 4.6 your smiling Smiley

PROFITABILITY on skein, well tht is another story you will just have to test and see Smiley

Im totally new to the mining - just literally started my adventure  Smiley

may I ask if "Payment Address" is the bitcoin wallet? I get the  error Failed to update your account: Invalid coin address

thanks a lot

it's the adress of the coin you mine to put there
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Was there a time gpu mining was not profitable? on: June 20, 2017, 11:43:31 AM
December, 2017
yup but at least in winter it was free heating :-D
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 20, 2017, 11:10:42 AM
Is it possible to get 800 sols/s on 1080ti ?
I think this is the only way to outprofit skein on equihash algo, otherwise it is less profitable.

i would say its not possible currently to get 800 sol/s as i bought the biggest baddest card i could find with that exact plan and maxed out at 760 ;p
and the card draws fuck near 400 watts at that hash!
Needless to say, i run it closer to 700 sol/s at 225ish watts in normal mode

Skein is more profitable sure but for like 5 of us, anyone adding even 1/2 a farm would kill the profit preeeeety quick, we need moar Skein coins!

I didn't understand how to config that EWBF what not.

I'm using nemo miner  and sometimes I get 759 and sometimes 630 Sol/s

I have founder's edition card. I'm at Memory clock +300 and Gpu + 195 - Power +110% and temp at 90C max.

I hover around 2025 GPU clock and 77C all day.

Are you  overclocked more than I am or you getting those speeds at stock?

I don't even know how much money I can make or am making since it's posted above that Sol /= hash

Don't you guys pay for electricity :-D
I run my 1080TI at 175-185W max on skein -> 900-930 Mh/s depending of the temperature (it's very hot this days).
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: June 20, 2017, 11:02:59 AM
But if I try to go above 85% TDP it will crash.
It seems to be a power cut off, you may be ovecharging one of your power rails.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building Cheap Miners : My "Secret" on: June 20, 2017, 10:54:37 AM
Well some bad news.

The 4th PCI-E slot on the board appears to have failed during benchmarking on Nicehash (I walked off & it had rebooted when I came back).

Any card plugged into that slot is no longer recognized.

Looks like this will be a 3-card machine!

I'm surprised it did run at all... you expect a bit too much from the sata connectors :-D
You probably burned the riser (witch I did with a rx 470 on my t5500).

My 8 pin to Pcie PEG arrived yesterday, I tested them right away with a R9 290x.... they give enough power for ETH, but  dual mining it rebooted after pushing dcri to 28.

Although, I power 2x480 dual mining without problems out of the same connector it's running for >12h now.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building Cheap Miners : My "Secret" on: June 16, 2017, 08:52:54 AM
I have even cheaper:
I bought several Dell T5500,100$ each. They have plenty of Ram, 4 PCIe and 875W PSU. The case comes with a HDD support plate where you can put a GC.
with some risers and adapters you're setup for less than 150$

Link to Dell T5500s? I can't seem to find the one you're talking about.
