1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stake allocation on: April 04, 2019, 03:05:04 AM
I think being active in the forum is also something to be praise, and one form of that praise would be from the stake allocation from the bounty campaign.
From that the member of the forum getting their effort in the forum getting paid of based on the effort they had done since the past.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bull is in the Crypto Arena on: April 04, 2019, 03:01:45 AM
The information about the bull run saying that it will happen in 2020 when bitcoin have it's halving, at that time the price of bitcoin will increase and it will also pull the atlcoins to goes up, just like the trend that happen today, any movement on bitcoin will be followed by the altcoins.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less price = more profit? on: April 04, 2019, 02:54:50 AM
Friends, does it make sense to take very cheap altcoins <$ 1? I think about buying, but I am interested in your opinion. Will they leave the market and exchanges, with such a strong fall?
I think it's not fully working that way, Even if we could purchase in a really low price but if the coin is not a good coins that have a good future, it most likely the coins will not be able to give us the profit that we desired.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Skam or a way to make money? on: April 04, 2019, 02:42:12 AM
For me personally, I think cryptocurrency is some kind of investment, because at this moment we can't hope for an instant profit just like in the old days.
Or perhaps it is back to when cryptocurrency first introduced to the people when the price of bitcoin still so low.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What project did you get your first bounty payment from?? on: April 04, 2019, 02:36:44 AM
What project did you get your first bounty payment from??

Mine was authorship.. a total of $300

What about yours??
It's already been a long time ago, so i got a little forget about what the project is.
If i'm not mistaken, it would be ACE, from that i got around $500+ when the price of ethereum is still at is't good level.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could a coin price be locked in place? on: April 02, 2019, 01:54:18 AM
I'm not talking about these supposed stablecoins like Tether, but normal coins.  Let's say an agreement was made among all the major Bitcoin exchanges.  Starting January 1, a Bitcoin is worth $5000 USD, plain and simple, and that's it.  The price never goes higher or lower.  A Bitcoin is $5000 today, tomorrow, next week, next month, etc.  NOTHING changes it.  Not a war, not the economy, not Trump getting re-elected (which he will, he's doing a great job), nothing.

I wonder if that could be done and what the effect would be.

One effect is that I wouldn't be buying BTC, because with no price volatility, how could I ever make a profit?  But one good thing is that normal companies may be more inclined to use Bitcoin, since its price is now fixed and does not change.
Absolutely not, there is no possibilities to that kind of things, Just to be easy if the price of coins were fixed, then there will be no one would wish to trade the coins, because we can't get any profit from a fixed price coins.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC IN THE BITCOINTALK FORUM: April Fool on: April 02, 2019, 01:49:34 AM
I think there are many people got fooled from that joke. Also i saw many people look worried about that mandatory KYC on this forum.
Lets just used this as a tense releasing cause many of us already get frustrated with the market condition.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: it's been a long time I have access mew on: April 02, 2019, 01:36:37 AM
hi, it's been a long time since I have access mew I usually store my tokens on an exchange because I'm an active trader. does myetherwallet is on a new look? I just need to be sure, Im being skeptical to use the website because of its new look, it might be a phishing website.
It's already been a while that MEW change it's UI. and also it implement several new features for us, and I think that is for safety reason that it being created that way, because accessing our wallet using private key is so much unsafe.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: April 01, 2019, 02:58:13 AM
It could prove to be better compared to ICO, then there will be no doubt if it could be a good think in the future to fix the condition of cryptocurrency today where scams spreading wildly.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Successful ICO With No Buyback Mechanism on: April 01, 2019, 02:54:17 AM
I'm not really sure about what really the cause of the drop on the coin price when it got listed in the market, but what i think, that would be because there are people who sell their coins in a lower price compared to the price when it firstly introduced during the ICO or something like that. because those people wanted to have quick money from the coins that they had. That is what i'm thinking of.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does crypto keep screwing me over?? on: March 27, 2019, 02:08:32 AM
Its soooo unfair..  Sad like i will hold USDT for weeks at a time, and all the coins will pump!
but the day i decide to finally invest in a altcoin, it instantly turns into a blood bath!
EVERY FRIGGIN TIME

I think that's not just happen on you, i had also experience that. And i think that i need to learn more to be able to be able to choose the right time to purchase or sell coins that we had.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is $25 XLM worth your privacy (identify). on: March 27, 2019, 01:58:53 AM
Speaking about the ongoing stellar airdrop by blockchain.com which started as a fair one but now requires those interested in the airdrop to pass some KYC procedures, I ask, is it worth it? We complain of Facebook, Google etc of stealing our privacy and possible selling them for profit to other companies and praise blockchain of been decentralized yet we're willing to sell our private details to some centralized organization offering services related to the blockchain technology and we think it's safer? I get it that the bear market has affected numerous newbie that came into the market in 2017 but I ask again is just $25 worth your privacy?

I suspect this moved by them as a deliberate attempt to steal users private details (identify), first they made the airdrop looks so simple and easy thereby deceiving numerous customers into believing they would get free $25 after they have trapped their victim, they then introduce kyc to steal their identity.
I think an airdrop with the need for us to provide KYC does feels too much, and the amount of reward for airdrop also isn't much if compared with the data we provided for the KYC.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next New Cryptocurrency on: March 27, 2019, 01:56:41 AM
I think even though facebook already makes their own cryptocurrency, but another company won't be following quickly, i think they will observing on the movement or progression on that coins, if there is a good sign, then another company would think it over and follow the footstep of facebook to create their own coin.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ICO'S Scamed since last year on: March 26, 2019, 02:05:13 PM
I believe that because many bad people knows how easy to gain easy money from another people, that drive them to make those kind of scam project.
And they could easily get away when everyone realized that the project were scam.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "BOUNTIES" Is it still worth it? on: March 26, 2019, 02:03:26 PM
In my opinion, if it for investment, it will still worth it to do a bounty campaign, but if we done it and wish to directly sell them when it listed in market, then  we would not get what we deserve and it would not worth the effort that had been done.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ASKING FOR KYC VERIFICATION on: March 26, 2019, 02:01:24 PM
There is indeed many airdrop that asking for KYC for us to be eligible to get the coins/token reward.
But if it's me, I prefer to avoid that kind of airdrop, because compared to the tokens we get and the data we provide, i think that is a bit too much for us to provide the KYC for that small reward.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profits In 2018 Bear Market on: March 25, 2019, 02:47:26 AM
For me, during 2018 is rather bad days, because most of the coins generating loses than profit. especially starting from the middle of 2018 where the price starting to fall rapidly.
Even from the investment made in market, also generating many loses.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luck is the opposite on: March 25, 2019, 02:45:40 AM
I have a very good intuition in the other direction.
If I buy something, then it falls in price. If I sell, it grows almost immediately. Am I following the crowd and losing, or are I being harassed (curse)?
Am I the only one?
Its' not just you, i'm also has that kind of experienced, and other people also had ever feel that kind of things.
Maybe the reason would be because many other people already wait for a price to fall and then the purchase it so the price rise again and makes many other people following to purchase because they got triggered by the increase of the price.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protecting Your Computer? on: March 25, 2019, 02:43:18 AM
Besides making sure not to download the wrong programs that can be fake programs like fake wallets and not clicking on links, what other important things should you do to protect your computer?  Yes i know you should not put crypto in it but even those who have hardware wallets, some coins cannot be put in the hardware wallet and you need to put it on its own wallet you install or in an exchange.

First off, does everyone here put a password on their computer?  I read the windows password is completely useless.  But does anyone here use veracrypt or a program where you must enter a password on your computer before you can log in?  Because i read cases where a hacker if they have access to your laptop can put a virus, trojan, keylogger in your computer... then shut down your computer and if you never knew someone accessed your computer, well anything you type on it can be visible to the hacker.  Of course this requires someone smart to have physical access to your laptop.  Thus if they take your laptop, well even if they put a trojan on it, well as long as you don't type your stuff on it, thats fine.

Can someone tell me what program they use to password protect their laptop?  I do not do this as i heard this process is not that simple.  I heard there is either veracrypt or bitlocker.  Are those the only 2 options or best 2 options?  If so, which do you choose and with it, does that mean a thief with access to your laptop cannot get into your laptop and store anything in it like trojan unless they have the password?  Because say someone installed a trojan in your laptop while you are not there for a bit... let say its just a friend who did it b/c they know you have crypto... that is dangerous.  Any advice here?
All i do to prevent me from getting infected by a virus or any other malicious software is, by installing an antivirus, and actively scanning my computer ever several days. and also doing something that you mentioned, that is not to install any suspicious software or accessing untrusted website.
