Hello, I'm new to this so please bear with me. I read the past 10 pages of comments and the website but can't find answers to these two questions:
1. Are all parts of this coin's software fully open source with no closed source software at all?
2. How is this coin better than Monero?
Thanks!
Hi mate, 1) Yes. NavTech was decentralised a week ago 2) Very easy to use. GUI similar to BTC. Anon send only a tick in the QT wallet. POS stage (no mining anymore) with up to 5% interest per year. Eco Friendly. Transparent Dev team and community. Very Attractive price. Multi platform. QT wallet for OSX, Windows, Linux. Android wallet. Great roadmap for 2017 including Polymorph, Pi stake wallet, Androind anon and stake wallet. IOS wallet. etc. Also NAV coin is the only crypto that is 100% anonymous. Thanks for the answers! Just so I'm clear, "decentralized" = 100% open source? Also, about 100% anonymous, Monero says they are too (and shadow, etc.). How are they not 100% anonymous and Nav is? Each coin has a different approach to be anonymous. Monero may be difficult to trace but not impossible. Check the below to see NAV in action: https://github.com/navcoindev/navcoin-media/blob/master/infographics/navtech-infographic.jpegAlso since NAV is in POS stage, it is more secure than POW.

If NAV allows other cryptos to use NAVTech for anonymous transaction, will it not devalue NAV coin as everybody will only use their existing "other than NAV" coins to use NAVTech and get the same privacy benefits. Please let me know if I misunderstood anything related to NAVTech Polymorph I see it more separate. Yes the other coins will be anon exchangeable but not anon coins. For the exchanging they will need to make use of Nav. When volume grows people will want to setup servers to generate fees and thus creating a higher demand for nav coin. Apart from that, if there is trust in Navtech, I can see people move to Nav. Because why stick with exchanging to make a crypto anon instead of using the anon crypto. Exchanging costs money due to fees so just using Nav Coin is cheaper. Makes sense....

NAV Team....Do you patent your inventions?

hashforce is not on the dev team so don't bother with his comments. There are hypers for almost every coin (see poloniex trollbox). Give priority only to what the dev team says. Some people bought NAV when it was in the sub 1000s and scaring new investors to dump is a pretty routine strategy for buying NAV again in low prices. NAV is a big technological innovation which has just started and as previously quoted by pakage "NAV is a mid-term investment". The key to success is taking risks and going long.

No, just manipulating mainstream media spreading lies to keep people away from crypto, that's all. Exactly, people should now stop behaving like herds guided by media and start making better choices for themselves and for others. Corporate owned media outlets are just propagandists. Blockchain technology is the cure to financial frauds. Corporate media will fail in the age of decentralization. It is just a start. Got this from wiki: "As of August 2015, Vox Media, which owns Vox, had received funding valuing it at over $1 billion, thus becoming a startup unicorn. Of this amount, $200 million came from NBCUniversal, $100 million from the venture arm of Comcast (NBC Universal's parent company), and $46.8 million from General Atlantic. Other investors included Accel Partners, Allen & Company, Khosla Ventures, and former AOL executive Ted Leonsis." ....just to show who controls Vox....

As I said before, I do not want the focus to be Darknet Markets. However, nothing can stop them from using it and it will show trust in the system. It is a open source decentralized system so if you want the Markets to use it, you can make it happen.
I think the focus should be on people in unsafe countries, journalist, whistle blowers, donating to things like Wikileaks etc. That is what privacy means to me. The word anonymity focuses more on the Markets for me.
I think you didn't understand the core of what I was saying. My point is that you are actually investing in a coin that in my view will only thrive if it is accepted in the Darknet Markets. In other words, if you gain heavy profits with NAV it will probably be thanks to the Darknet Markets accepting the coin. All these other things you mentioned, in my view, though these applications are nice, they don't look like things that will substantially increase NAV's marketcap. Of course, this is only my opinion and I wish I am wrong but I think Monero already proved that it mainly needed the Darknet Market to get a serious marketcap. I do understand your point The thing is that I want, perhaps wishful thinking, that Nav will be used for good. For people that need privacy, don't we all? The use for illegal services might, and probably will come, once Nav Coin is more well known and people trust the tech. It is something you cannot stop. I just really hope that journalists for example will pick up Nav and use it for financial privacy. As I said, maybe wishful thinking. Dude you are agreeing and disagreeing at the same time. Make up your mind. You are still not clear about darknet and what it is. You are just going by the mainstream media FUD on darknet. If you have seen the video I had referred earlier and many such articles on darknet you would understand that crimes and illegal activites take place a lot more on the surface web than the dark web. NAV should realize its value as did Bitcoin. Hopes and wishful thinking can only make you feel good but it doesn't help the matter at hand.

NAV Team .... are you exploring dark net for NAVs adoption? Remember that dark net does not mean only criminals but there are many people on dark net who want transactions to be made anonymously for good reasons and many such use cases will only rise in future. Please watch this informative video on the subject of darknet:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luvthTjC0OIRemember, nobody cared for Monero in the past but once it got endorsement from Alphabay the price skyrocketed. Since blockchain revolution is just beginning and it will take time before an average person realizes and adopts its merits. Meanwhile, there is nothing wrong to explore other areas for which the functionality of NAV is best suited for. The only question that is hitting NAV investors is what is stopping this superior coin which is based on PoS protocol, which is 100% anonymous and soon to be decentralized to skyrocket and meanwhile the other so-called anon coins are eating away NAVs share of pie.

NAV Team....Will there be a Thunderclap campaign for upcoming decentralization? Achieving Annon and Decentralization is kind of first for any cryptocurrency and also with upcoming promotional video another Thunderclap campaign is not a bad idea....Promotional video will be the major trigger as most people like to watch rather than read....
