1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Tax Reporting on: Today at 04:35:12 PM
I made google search about the Kazakstan cryptocurrency taxation system, but I don't find still they passed the proposed bill from 2019, so all your trading earnings will come under the personal income tax rate and also there is no tax for crypto to crypto trades, so you have to report only when you cash out into fiat.

Any source they have passed it? Cause I could only find this: Kazakhstan will only tax cryptos once they are sold for fiat, that has a misleading headline as it's actually about the bill under review which means it isn't effective yet.

If I were you op, I'd follow joniboini's advice and get a tax consultant even if you have to pay for it. Taxes can be mind boggling and one mistake could lead to penalties in which you'll be paying more.

Side note: I suggest doing these to get a better set of answers
1. Move this to Legal
2. Change the thread title to something like Taxation in Kazakhstan
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bustafish is a total scam | Unauthorized use for bab source on: Today at 11:37:14 AM
Hi , I am Bustafish.com owner, while browsing the name Bustafish on google, I felled right on this topic.

4. Fraudulent sites that are unauthorized to use the bustabit name and brand, making false
representations about their relationship to bustabit and/or plagiarizing bustabit's website Using the start of a domain *bust on crash game is not allowed
IS https://bustafish.com there ?
YES, since I don't care if, i use *busta at beginning of my domain name so people recognize the game faster.

Which doesn't make the situation any less worse

The said brand is their intellectual property so using it without permission counts as theft... and being bold about it just makes it worse.
3  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Casascius Coin 1BTC on: Today at 03:40:40 AM
What would the the average price be for this coin in BTC?

Would help if you can post what type do you have and its condition.

Is it worth putting it into a crypto exchange and earn interest on that, or should I keep it closed?

You risk of getting your funds locked/getting asked to KYC which is usually a total nightmare for reasons:

1. Support works at a very slow pace
2. KYC could be over the top which means your ID and proof of address may not be enough;
3. Complying doesn't mean you'll get your funds back, it is still within their discretion
4. No way to verify if they actually have set effective precautionary measures from hacking.

Holding where you have full control of your coins would be a better option if you're looking to increase its value over time but this is of course if you believe in bitcoin.

PS: you can move this to Collectibles to get a better set of response
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinexchange.io - Reviews on: June 16, 2021, 06:23:32 PM
I wanted to reach out because I received that one within a day or two of the site closing where as I haven't received any PAC and didn't realize it would take this long. Not sounding ungrateful, just wanted to see if anyone else had not received their PAC as well.

That's probably because that time they still have their full system intact and possibly the staffs too which is the opposite of now.

The problem is when it takes way too long. Coinexchange.io has shut all communication so there's no way to follow up or get an update... which btw is a very shady practice.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binomo and cryptocurrency on: June 16, 2021, 04:29:40 PM
1. Binomo isn't regulated by a recognized government body
2. Offshore company - address has been used by other companies (google it) and it's at St. Vincent & the Grenadines which is a hotspot for it

Most scam binary options have these two checked and makes getting away of shady practices easier, hence why I would not recommend this. There is too much scam in binary options, I say find another way to gamble.

Where did you found that they are starting to support cryptocurrencies?

I guess this counts as a proof they support cryptocurrency

To make a deposit you can use Visa or Mastercard bank card, e-wallets such as: Advcash, WebMoney, PerfectMoney, bitcoin and litecoin.
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Serious bug binance I have balance but I can't use it (bnb token) on: June 15, 2021, 07:06:17 PM
But you can still use the live chat to follow up your case or support ticket.

I actually got ahold of someone in the live chat after waiting 2-3 hours which is an okay time for me. I say it depends on you luck, like when there is less ppl than usual, it'll be easier. This ofc doesn't mean it's fine to not open a support ticket as that is still their priority and you have less chance of losing your place in the queue there.
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: June 15, 2021, 03:31:24 PM
I'd say, we should step up the precautionary measures

like
1. Adding a warning emoji (⚠️) alongside the red asterisk
2. The "having some trouble" could also be seen as something light, maybe we could add "/involved with scam accusations" or something
3. huge caution note on top that nothing is endorsed and users are advised to DYOR

At this point there's no way to actually miss it, and if someone still went their way despite the warning signs, then they did it deliberately, and ppl like that are out of our control...
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: June 15, 2021, 06:29:47 AM
Update for the kardiachain campaign

The Management decided to change the payment method to Bitcoin wallet after a series of discussion with me.

Another suggestion is maybe @Mitchell can link this thread in the MAIN (1st post in overview of sig camps) so it won't be easier to miss?
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to convert altcoins into bitcoin and withdraw? on: June 14, 2021, 10:07:09 AM
This is a very specific question based on which altcoins you have.

I have MKR, COMP, XLM, CGLD, GRT, BAND, NU, UMA, NMR, FORTH, SKL, MATIC and AMP.

Check my table: (All the free giveway)
https://nitro.download/view/675B07FA18E0B2F/Hacxx_Underground_-_Cryptocurrency_Table_3.rar

For security most users avoid download links, maybe you could upload screenshots of it to a free image host site instead?

This is all coins given for free to verified coinbase users. The reason why i ask is if anyone has tried to move small altcoins to vault and cashout with PayPal.

Any reason for using coinbase vault? cause if you're storing funds, that's bad news. Never use a custodial wallet to store funds, see https://notyourkeys.org/. For withdrawing thru paypal, I believe @Bitcoin_Arena has summed it up for you, just remember to check the trading fees, minimum trading amount and paypal fee first before jumping.
10  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: My Bitcoin Balance not showing - 2021 on: June 12, 2021, 11:59:38 AM
Maybe you have enabled the login IP restriction?

If not, aside from reaching out to their support, try to also reboot your router but wait for a few mins before turning it on and check if that changes your ip address otherwise you can contact your ISP for a change.

If you have your mnemonic seed/backup phrase, you can easily import it to another wallet like electrum (how to)
11  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo Wallet on: June 11, 2021, 07:21:55 PM
Recently while watching some crypto documentary on Alijazeera, one of the people who was interviewed was Wences Casares, their CEO and Cofounder who claimed that they have a custodial service which is keeping Bitcoins worth billions of dollars for their clients in a secret decommissioned military banker.

Mannn. and here I was under the impression the situation is similar to bittrex and poloniex who has lost a very large portion of existing and potential users because of the strict KYC and unprofessionalism, it seems they doing an effective marketing...

Then again, there's always a fair chance it's all a lie or the stolen funds for years are a major contributor 🤭
12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinexchange.io - Reviews on: June 11, 2021, 05:24:57 PM
Did anyone else have PAC on coinexchange? if so, have you received yours yet? I had two crypto balances on there and received the full amount of one of them within days of the site closing but haven't received any PAC. I've always had good experiences with coinexchange so maybe I'm just getting anxious because it's a good amount of PAC but I also thought that I would've gotten it by now.

So the other cryptocoin was not included in the recent last batch of withdrawals as you have withdrew them before it close? confirming this because if both of them are included, it would make sense to not receive them both at the same time as coinexchange.io is processing the withdrawals by cryptocurrency.

Withdrawals will be processed on a currency by currency basis, it may take some time for all of your withdrawals to be completed.

In any case, I would expect a much longer waiting time because they probably have limited staff, I say it's still fine for now...

Try to also ask here in regards to PAC: Last chance to withdraw your crypto from COINEXCHANGE.io after 18th of May!
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Interview with the Co-Founders of Coinbaazar and Magnetocoin (MGT) on: June 11, 2021, 12:34:27 PM
You need to up your background checking game because coinbaazar has/had full time sockpuppets here to promote their platform, not a good interviewee for this kind of interview which is sort of like a service feature or something, check this thread for reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271725.0

The questions asked aren't that coherent too, I would work on that. and maybe some follow up questions too in order to make the interview more engaging.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: List of Exchanges with Low Listing Fees Needed on: June 10, 2021, 06:48:44 PM
You can start with the pseudo-decentralized exchanges, they usually charge little to no fee, check this list: https://www.coingecko.com/en/dex

Also check this slightly outdated thread which list exchanges and its listing fee: Crypto exchanges comparison [trade fee + listing fee + age + mobile app + more!] just note that the 'free' in big exchanges would for sure require you to have a solid community so if you're just starting and looking to list in centralized exchanges, target the small markets first and gradually climb up.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the deal with Coinxtraders? Surely it's a scam, right? on: June 10, 2021, 02:31:36 PM
This screams scam to me, and you as well surely. But why is there not a single report anywhere? Surely someone would have said something if they were a scam?

That's a very weak basis op. You don't need someone to say it is a scam for it to be branded as one especially when you have a much stronger evidence... There is a thing called first victims so if you are not seeing a single scam accusation from an obvious scam scheme that means it is still looking for one, not to mention that not everyone bothers to post about their story online.

Hopefully, this wasn't just a creative way to promote that "scam/fake" exchange. Roll Eyes

Indeed. Op seems very cool about losing .5BTC which isn't right

Damn these guys are getting elaborate, i'm nearing the point of just yolo'ing in 0.022 BTC just for shits and giggles.

The thrown praises are off too, this could be their way of lowkey telling us there's a fair chance this could not be a scam.
16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PayPal vs Coinbase: Which one is better crypto platform? on: June 09, 2021, 06:59:46 PM
To help you choose between the two, PayPal locks out their users when they feel like there is a suspicious activity when there really isn't any of it, they are just being overreactive and hyper vigilant.

It's prominent in CEXs and so happens with coinbase too, like for example, flagging a transaction as unusual when using a new address/device and this is coming from a wallet that changes their receiving address every time it is used...

A combo of several factors can get a transaction flagged as unusual, like if the funds are being sent to a new address or using a new device.

We'll delay the transaction and email to give you time to cancel it, or offer the opportunity to complete a "face match" verification.

In any case, the fact that it's not possible to send out bitcoins off paypal's platfrom alone makes coinbase way better than them, nuff said.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone doing affiliate for hardware wallet on: June 09, 2021, 04:05:26 PM
I'm only confused about whether a paid promotion would be a good idea or not.

It's only bad when you promote anything shady or lie. If you're worried about losing credibility because of this, I wouldn't worry about it as long as your content is as objective as it can be and your readers are informed about the affiliate links beforehand. Some may not agree with the latter but this still relies on trust so it's better to be upfront of anything always.
18  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PayPal and BTC on: June 07, 2021, 03:34:21 PM
You can check the old versions of websites that has a list of this by putting in their link on https://web.archive.org/ (as per wikipedia "largest and oldest web archive in the world")

some are:

oldest webpage archived is on 2017 but some for sure have been in business before 2017, and for that you can use archive.org again to check if they had accepted paypal in your chosen year.
19  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex - source of funds on: June 04, 2021, 07:16:30 PM

I think bittrex is shady too but the numbers in change.org is not really that credible because of how easy it is to manipulate and because we don't know the story of the supporters. A much credible source would be a post (for each case) detailing what happened and proofs backing up their word.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gamers Can Now More Easily Cash Out Bitcoin on: June 04, 2021, 03:33:26 PM
Not worth it...

1. Went to check the app on my spare phone and was asked to KYC in order to gain full access of the wallet

2. It's more on microbets

Entrance fee is either 100 sats / 1,000 sats / 10,000 sats. Choose the level you feel comfortable with. The higher the entrance fee, the higher the competition!

I couldn't confirm but if there was no way to send the btc to an external wallet, that's definitely a three.
