1  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinapult - Jan 2018 on: July 19, 2019, 11:47:09 PM
If they pre-generated the txid they shouldn't forward it to the user but actually leave the withdrawal status at pending or something.

I have never seen a service that I use forward me a txid that hasn't been broadcasted to the network. Makes little sense in my book. It only causes unnecessary confusion.

I've never actually experienced it but I've seen a few similar cases here, like this one for example Coinbase pending transaction - No transaction found with the hash

Definitely agreeing with the confusion part but there's also the possibility that it was not intentional and was just a result of their faulty system. In any case, it doesn't make the situation any better.
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Binance] Android app for Order fill notifications on binance on: July 18, 2019, 08:40:43 PM
I can understand the camera but not the storage permissions, why does your app need it?

welp. IMO even if the api is read-only, entering it to an unknown app just for that one specific feature is an overkill and not worth the risk.
3  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinapult - Jan 2018 on: July 18, 2019, 06:49:43 PM
They gave mi Transaction ID, but it can't be found in blockchain explorer.
How is this possible? May be they gave me fake Transaction ID?

They can always generate a transaction (with TXID) without broadcasting it, and if it isn't broadcasted it will never be confirmed as it won't show up in the mempool which explains why you're not seeing it in any block explorer. It's not exactly a bad thing as it's a process when spending from a cold storage.

So assuming that coinapult isn't pulling an exit-scam. I'm thinking that your transaction is still in queue waiting to be broadcasted. Your biggest problem is reaching out to their support team 'cause it seems dead.

Wishing you luck! also if it isn't a bother, it would be great if you can give us updates.
4  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinapult - Jan 2018 on: July 17, 2019, 01:38:15 AM
Hi, do you have something new with Coinapult?

I have the same problem with them. I am waiting about 2 weeks now and my BTC withdraw is still processing. And I can't find this transaction on blockchain.

Did they give you a TXID? If you had looked it up in multiple block explorers (blockchair, btc.com, chain.so etc...), it's probably because they haven't broadcasted the transaction yet. Do you mind posting it here?

no txid means they haven't initiated anything  Cry
5  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC is missing from Blockchain.info wallet on: July 17, 2019, 01:02:47 AM
Regardless of who's at fault, it doesn't change the fact that web wallets are one of the least safe ways to store funds as it is more susceptible to attacks. The amount of time you've used it without issues doesn't change anything, no one should wait until a problem has occurred.

@op, note that securing funds doesn't end in picking a wallet as none provides 100% safety. Your wallet won't protect you in case of human error which is why adopting healthy practices helps in increasing your security. Take this as a reference https://bitcoin.org/en/secure-your-wallet

Lastly, don't forget to verify your electrum files to make sure what you've got isn't compromised
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining VS Home mining Part 1. Disadvantages of home mining on: July 16, 2019, 06:12:39 PM
ye ye, there are risks, possible disadvantages, and whatnot but it's far lesser than cloud mining as you barely have any control there. It is based on trust which is pretty easy to break-- history is the proof. End of story.

also, nice advertisement, that's pretty much what this is for

Is mychargeback.com an option that could help?

weird site, they actually support cryptocurrencies which are usually irreversible once confirmed so, in order to get it back, you need the recipient to send it back to you.

If you think you have been victimized by a cryptocurrency scam, consult with the fund recovery experts at MyChargeBack.  Challenging crypto scammers can be very complex and mistakes can cost you. MyChargeBack analyzes your case and assists you throughout the entire recovery process.

I'm thinking that it's gonna be a lawsuit route all over again which may not be worth it if you're gonna spend more than what you lost. I would only jump if it's huge money and there are other victims who are willing to join a class action. Your chances of winning or getting back your money vary too 'cause (it could also be a factor for mychargeback.com in accepting cases) 1. It could take too long to catch the scammers as someone needs to pay 2. even if they're caught there's a fair chance they already spent all your money 3. there's a lack of third party to sue in case of 1 or 2.

Lastly, I don't see any of their team on their site

>signature is about coinbaazar
>pm is about coinbaazar
>almost all posts is about coinbaazar

sure, you're not promoting it
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Weonix.net on: July 11, 2019, 08:07:38 PM
In any case, promoting a blatant scam site here regardless of how subtle they do it will only push away potential victims rather than draw them as users are actively busting scams-- basically what happened here.

as for backlinks, op already did it wrong by not making the link clickable so it's more of a citation, not a link.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto Cold Wallet on a smartcard NFC/Contact on: July 10, 2019, 05:25:05 PM
If they don't even have a decent website, I highly doubt they can develop a hardware wallet.

and most importantly, there's little info about the wallet so you don't know what you're getting into. The usual red flags which are unknown team, new in the market, faking a review applies too.

11  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 🇨🇭Aximetria a Swiss-based hybrid banking platform on: July 09, 2019, 10:38:07 PM
Cryptopay is a well known company and it's not a direct competitor to us, because we're more focused on transfers and instant purchase/withdrawal of crypto and stablecoins with any bank card.

I was actually just talking about in terms of btc prepaid cards since I couldn't find any other provider that's available to Russia-based ppl besides cryptopay.  So If I'm right, a consumer only has 2 options.

but in general, I don't see why they're not your "direct competitor" when they're also offering the same services/products for almost the same countries.
12  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is weonix scam? on: July 09, 2019, 02:28:40 PM
Yup, that's an old scheme. In the future avoid any "too good to be true" offers and be extra cautious when it comes to strangers.

I disagree with the last statement tho. This matter is out of primedice's hands and they hold no responsibility for this. Not to mention that the scammers could just be using primedice's name and aren't really playing at all.
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Error 502 Bad Gateway on satoshibox.com on: July 08, 2019, 07:08:52 PM
SatoshiDisk rating is higher on Alexarank and have some feedbacks.
I use it sometimes, nice service.

most of them are from apirone.com tho which is the payment processor they're using and is affiliated with them seeing at how much they spam promote it, see here https://twitter.com/apirone_com/with_replies

but in this review, they acted as if they they're not affiliated with them SatoshiDisk Review Online Marketplace with Bitcoin forwarding (same content but in a diff site)
In this tweet, they made it seem like they got featured by buzzfeed (of all places why buzzfeed lmao). Since links aren't fully shown in twitter it looks like "https://www.buzzfeed.com/apirone/satosh ..."

SatoshiDisk Review Online Marketplace With Bitcoin Forwarding

buzzfeed.com/apirone/satoshidisk-review-a-online-marketplace-with-bit-cje11lzp53

an example of a legit one is https://www.buzzfeed.com/bekoconnell/things-that-can-bring-some-life-to-your-to-your-home (so buzzfeed.com/author/the-full-title-here)

I would never trust a site who fakes reviews and they are really on par with satoshibox looking at the web design and how little info they provide. Look for something better, not something that's on the same level as them.

The best alternative to satoshibox is https://minerlock.com/ . Payments made within 48 hours and been online for over 2 years.

Another one that is on par with satoshibox. 2 years and still lacks user reviews, tho there are untrusted and(or) obscure websites who wrote about it \_(ツ)_/
14  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 🇨🇭Aximetria a Swiss-based hybrid banking platform on: July 08, 2019, 12:58:15 PM
@LTU_btc, this answers your question

Citizens of which countries can use the Aximetria card?

Aximetria cards can be issued for residents of the Russian Federation. We're also preparing an Aximetria card for residents of other regions (incl. Europe, CIS and the Middle East).

@op what's up with the fees? there's even a 30 USD fee for paper statement. If that's the case i don't see a point of having a btc prepaid card

Have you guys taken a look at your competitor tho? https://cryptopay.me/bitcoin-debit-card/#russia
15  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Looking for someone who can verify an Exchanger Account for me / I offer 50$ on: July 08, 2019, 11:54:45 AM
Seems like most of the people here are not getting what this guy is saying here, lol. He means that he needs someone that would help verify an exchange account by doing an exchange with the account. That means you will have to deposit money to that account

I don't understand how is that "account verification", more like verifying how legit is the exchange, which is a weak one.

Op is obviously talking about identity verification of their account otherwise they wouldn't have mentioned "Unfortunalty they don t accept americans (which i am)." and would've said something in their 2nd post.  Also worth noting that KYC is mandatory in some exchanges and op could be doing this 'cause they can't trade at all

@op just to be clear, are you also living in the US? 'cause if not, you should be fine unless they also don't allow residents from there.
16  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [Blockchain] Swap FAILURE. USD PAX to BTC confirmed, but did not get any bitcoin on: July 04, 2019, 03:24:13 PM
You should also take into account that the blockchain.com actually HOLD YOUR PRIVATE KEYS otherwise they will not be able to charge you those incredible fees for transaction. So as you undestand in "D" day they will just say: " We have no bitcoins. "

What they do hold is the encrypted version, having an access would be a different story since when you generate your seed and encrypt/decrypt them, it is done client side.

and if you're talking about the miner fees, none of those goes to blockchain.com as it goes to the miners. you can always confirm this in any block explorer.
17  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [Blockchain] Swap FAILURE. USD PAX to BTC confirmed, but did not get any bitcoin on: July 01, 2019, 11:13:31 PM
Just wanna let you know that your problem requires staff from blockchain.com in order to be solved and there's no one here. However, that doesn't mean posting here is useless bc you could still get advice from users and let ppl know what you experienced.

You could try your luck in twitter https://twitter.com/blockchain.

and yes, blockchain.com is worth ditching, doesn't matter which service you use. They're the type that would rather add more stuff that would bring more users rather than fixing the current problems they have. It is known to be buggy and that becomes more evident whenever a surge of users comes in.

there are better options when it comes to wallet and trading.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uganda says cryptocurrency is risky on: July 01, 2019, 06:14:09 PM
My country issued warnings too but since they didn't literally hinder the cryptocurrency from growing, it just kept growing. I'm not really updated in what's going on in the said country, but looking at the latest news about them, they don't seem to be closed minded when it comes to cryptocurrency and the blockchain tech developments

19  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Blockchain and crypto books for crypto on: June 30, 2019, 08:41:49 PM
@anyone who says there's no demand for physical copies (doesn't matter which type of book)

Choosing between ebook and paperback is a subjective thing. You can't just say there is no demand when brick and mortar bookstores are doing good and most books having a paperback version.

Not to mention that physical books are something you collect now bc having them physically is totally different. There are some that are "rare" (limited edition, first print, etc..) but for the most part, the reader gives value to a certain book, it depends on how much they like them. and there's a handful of users here who likes to collect.

Quote from: Oilacris
Its really not contradicting but books isn't really that relevant due that most informations needed to be learn can
be attained online without needing these compilation thru books.

depends on the extent of knowledge you wanna pursue. sure there's no prob in the basics but if you wanna dive into technicalities, books would be better.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cryptoslate on: June 28, 2019, 04:01:31 PM
Are we looking at the same site? https://cryptoslate.com

It looks like a site where you get specific information, what kind of business do you wanna do with them? advertising?
