2021  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitpay issues on: April 06, 2019, 06:29:09 AM
Was gonna say shift card but-

We hope you enjoyed using the Shift Card and truly thank you for your loyalty. We, unfortunately, will be retiring the program in April of this year. All Shift Cards will be officially deactivated on April 11, 2019. Don't worry, your Shift Card will continue to work until that date. Feel free to email support@shiftpayments.com if you have any questions and we'd be happy to answer. We hope to re-launch the program and issue new cards in the near future. Thank you for your patience! If you're an existing cardholder, you may still use the "Connect Coinbase" button to reconnect your account.

If ever you can't find another debit card that is available in your country and you're after the "converting btc into cash" part, I suggest checking this article for alternative methods (Best Ways To Convert Bitcoins To Cash [USD, EUR, INR]).
2022  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitinka exchange is a scam!!!! on: April 06, 2019, 04:35:21 AM
Well...

Services usually hate it every time their reputation gets shot, so try linking this thread the next time you talk to their support, you should also add that you'll give continuous updates here.

Second is, uhhh this should be your last resort and should think if it is worth doing. The thing is, you're not the only one who is experiencing this so if you can gather a group of ppl who wants to file a class action lawsuit, then go. And bitinka is not exactly anonymous 'cause from what I've seen they attend various conferences so the teams' face is in public (check their sns)
2023  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dont working site satoshibox.com on: April 05, 2019, 11:47:08 PM
The site seems to be down since the price jump, similar problem: Error 502 Bad Gateway on satoshibox.com

You can try to reach out through the given email below:
I don't see any 504. Nevertheless If you have some problem please we have official email (info@satoshibox.com) or contact form support, we don't do support on forums regularly.
2024  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How To Save Money Buying Cigarettes on: April 05, 2019, 10:47:16 PM
The site claims that they've been in business since 2010 but according to their whois data, they registered at 2019-04-03 (whois link) and as usual, I can't find any reviews about them.

About us excerpt:
Cigs Zone is the market leader in discount cigarettes in the United States. Our company first opened its online doors in 2010

It's also fishy that the domain name is almost identical to an actual shop in California which is https://www.cigzone.com/ (notice that it is without "s")
2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Question About Bitcoin Wallet! on: April 05, 2019, 05:14:19 AM
Quote from: muslol67
So I have to know that someone access ever in this wallet or not. It is a great way of keepin BTC but it is hard to trust someone.

If you're not gonna DIY, unfortunately, you will have to trust the producer's words that they do not keep a copy of the pk so choose a brand whose products have been here for a long time and is still being traded up until now, preferably if the owner has shown their face in public- highly reputable in other words.

As for authenticity, you need to search for the specific product but from what I've seen they usually have the tamper-proof hologram which needs to be taken off in order to view the pk so you'll know when someone has messed with it.

or maybe you can just buy a physical bitcoin whose seal has been taken off/coins have been spent and just think of a way to put a newly generated keys (by you ofc) on it.
2026  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Worst case if I submit my passport to an exchange? on: April 03, 2019, 07:20:04 AM
Wait. Are we talking 'bout a big amount here? 'cause despite how well-known and long-running bittrex is, those shady and unprofessional acts should never be forgotten. So if it's not a big amount, I really think you should just leave it as it is.

Well, if anything unauthorized occurred which could be related to identity theft, you'll be given time to defend yourself, but that is only possible if you file a report. And data breaches/selling of data usually does not only expose one or two users but a lot so eventually ppl would voice out, articles would be published etc... depending on how worse the situation is, the media outlets may increase.
2027  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is it possible to know if two+ btc addresses belong to the same wallet? on: April 02, 2019, 11:21:30 PM
And there's also a growing number of analysis tools and services that could provide particular data which saves time and effort. I think the most used right now is walletexplorer.com which does address grouping.
2028  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anybody know Equicex Black Card? Possible scam? on: March 28, 2019, 11:59:14 PM
Honestly, It looks too good to be true to me, how can it be 100% anonymous, no verification, no limits? 🤔

Although there's no direct proof that they're a scam. The stuff listed in this thread are valid red flags so If I were you I wouldn't jump and risk my money to it, even if a friend personally had a smooth transaction with them.
2029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why fee on metamarsk wallet and stellar wallet. on: March 17, 2019, 10:46:11 PM
If you're talking about the need of minimum balance in order for the address to become usable, ethereum doesn't have it, only stellar. It's ready to receive coins/tokens once generated, but as said above, you still need to pay for the miner fees if you want to move any assets.

The minimum balance is a part of stellar to prevent spam so it's out of any manager's hand. Just do note that you should only send it to an account which you are the only one who's in control of.
2030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High Profile Government In The West Will Criminalise Bitcoin (BTC) In The Next 1 on: March 15, 2019, 04:17:58 PM
Oof, This reminds of predictions from ppl who claim they have time traveled in a way that the predictions are loosely specific (like in this case, the where is pinpointed but not the who), nothing strong enough backs their statements and lastly, that attention seems to be the motive.
2031  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoininvestBank on: March 15, 2019, 09:40:23 AM
Check this thread, various users have given their opinion about the site: Coin Invest Bank (CIB) exchange Discussion Thread - coininvestbank.com

TL;DR, It's operating in an unsustainable business model, new in the market, has an unknown team and sloppy site/sns. Verdict is stay away.
2032  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Purchase experience at CRYPTOFINANCIAL LIFE SL on: March 14, 2019, 11:59:32 PM
I'm not sure if the warranty is still valid once you've purchased outside bitmain but it's worth a shot, so better ask their support about this or better yet, you could also ask cryptofinancial if they could help you out since they're the ones who bought it from there. Check the warranty status here: https://service.bitmain.com/support/warranty

I honestly think they should help you out as it's a part of providing good service but seeing that they made you pay for customs two times and refunded by giving you discount coupon, makes me think they only care about themselves. I have a feeling they would refuse but still give it a go op!

oh and thought you may wanna know so here's a recent complaint about the site in the forum: Cryptofinancial life SL / mineroo.io
2033  Economy / Exchanges / Re: good easie trading sites who accpt ach bank transfer on: March 14, 2019, 09:19:55 PM
Also, try looking at ->> https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com, just enter your country and preferred payment method. You might also find some local exchange which is easier to use imo.

Oh, and be sure to click the read review button (if avail) for further info, tho I won't advise you to fully rely on it, search for more!
2034  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Update on BiteBTC exchange scam! on: March 14, 2019, 07:15:15 PM
Just avoid any exchange who has only been in business for 2 years and below, has an unknown team and listed a lot of shitcoins which is the case for this one, 'cause they are more susceptible when it comes to shady behavior/scam/incompetency.

We should always lean on the prevention side as most of the time ppl would only stay away from a certain site when countless complaints have already risen and the damage has been done.
2035  Economy / Services / Re: List your coin/token on a new exchange on: March 14, 2019, 12:23:50 PM
It's gonna be hard for you to get a listing if you won't be transparent about your site. Ppl still pick where they gonna list their coin especially if they're paying for it (rewards should be higher than risks), so provide some reasons on why ppl should choose your platform like site itself, the team behind them, what are you guys offering etc...

And yeahh most importantly, how is the promotion going on? I do think they deserve to know if you guys are capable of bringing more and more users in your platform. Oh and if the exchange still doesn't have an ANN thread here, creating one is always a plus.
2036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto the movie about bear on wallstreet released their trailer. on: March 14, 2019, 06:23:46 AM
Saw this on trending>movies yesterday and was honestly letdown 'cause I was expecting a movie where cryptocurrencies are properly explored out, but judging from the trailer, it seemed to have relied on stereotypes too much which made it mediocre in my eyes. So yeahh, not gonna see this.

The target viewers are not the cryptocurrency users but edgy teens
2037  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: My experience with faucet-sites on: March 11, 2019, 09:58:15 AM
Uhhh no, faucet can't be a good way to start. I don't see a reason why would it be when all you do is solve captcha and still earn dust for spending a lot of your time when you could just be doing something productive.

A good way to start is to familiarize yourself with the basics and buy some coins yourself. Here's a good site to start learning about bitcoin: https://bitcoin.org/en/faq
2038  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Wicotiz Mastercard- To good to be true??? on: March 11, 2019, 04:12:29 AM
I don't see any signs of involvement of bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies on this. If you're going with complete fiat anyways, why not hit up your bank instead, and if verification is the problem, you could try asking in some local forums for recommendation, then afterwards you can research about it.
2039  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is good for me? on: March 10, 2019, 09:05:07 AM
Well I think you're pretty safe here as long as you use a trusted escrow for every transaction with someone who's untrusted, check this list for escrows BitcoinTalk's Escrow Providers: Ranking & Blacklist ☠ Avoid Scammers ☠ .

And, If the requirements are met, you could ask to be listed here:

I'm still not sure on what's the exact service you're offering tho. Is it the pics and vid like pre-made already? basically, users are presented with catalog-like thing where they choose what they wanna avail? so you don't do customization based on what the client wants?
2040  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake BTC sites on: March 10, 2019, 06:23:17 AM
Welp we're talking about money in here so scammers flocking is kind of expected. What blows my mind are the ppl falling for obvious scams, and based from the "earn free btc", it's most likely that op is talking about one of those.

I don't think scams can be fully eradicated and lessening them are mostly done with someone getting victimized first. So the best course is to rely on oneself e.g. know how to determine red flags, the risks you're exposing yourself into, when to stay away etc.. gather knowledge in short.
