Looks like all 4 cores are almost fully used.

Okay but please add to the bitcoin.conf the settings i mentioned above, restart bitcoin, and it shall have no problem then.

I would be interested but how many posts you do per month, plus only the avatar is a bit weird. What about the signature too?
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.13 freezes Ubuntu 16 on: November 27, 2016, 07:59:04 PM
Thanks for the info. I would recommend :

dbcache=500
par=1

Parameter  "par" tells bitcoin to limit the threads to 1, since HTOP indicates that all of the CPUs are being busy 100% with bitcoin having 4 threads. So if we limit it to 1, plus decrease RAM then it shall work. Please try it and let me know

Just now went to 0.00003070 from their faucet and then of course lost it all.) Overall it's a nice dice site and i'm wondering why is almost nobody playing there. It was only 3 players online when I played there today. Btw do not forget to turn off the animation because the bets go extremely slow if it's on.

Hehe, yeah the No animation mode is better if animation is lagging on browser. Regarding players, i would say that its because we are only operating for the last 1.5 months only, so most players are not aware of us!
You guys have to advertise a lot i think, i would suggest advertising on this forum(signature campaign or bidding for an ad spot) and or bitcoin related news sites like newsbtc.(they're advertising plenty of gambling sites)

Look at these below threads :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1641020.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1658961.0

They have done signature and twitter campaign before, they closed it after some time. Perhaps it was because the campaigns were not too effective way to advertise his site. Giving more promotions that requires players to wager is more effective imho, and they are running it atm (wagering contest). But I suggest to do more promotions aside the wagering competition.

As suggested buying ad slots on newsbtc or bitcoin advertising sites would be effective i guess, signature campaign alone wouldn't be that effective. if they can keep their wagering contest for like every week and use that in their advertisement it might attract users to try their chances at winning at that contest (just my suggestion). Smiley

Yeap, we have successfully run 4 wager contests, advertised in Forum Round 186(i think), Signature/Twitter Campaign and Advertisements in 2 bitcoin related forums. But again, its very early, since KingDice.com is operating less than 2 months Tongue

Okay, no it doesn't mean that you only have 256 free. Memory and iotop seems fine, but is bitcoin running for few minutes before it crashes? Also share you bitcoin.conf(we want the "dbcache=" variable) file please. Also, print screen your HTOP or TOP -c command output
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.13 freezes Ubuntu 16 on: November 27, 2016, 03:00:27 PM
4GB RAM? Sounds extremely low, please start bitcoin again and before it crashes run free -m , also install iotop and run it and make a screenshot. I don't think  that its HDD, mostly RAM, and maybe CPU. If you want to understand better about CPU and processes download HTOP which is easier to use for non-experienced users. I would say most probably its CPU+RAM and maybe you will need to give bitcoin process lower priority and disable memory cache  so that it doesn't crash the whole system

428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: November 27, 2016, 02:14:10 PM
If i had to choose, i would choose gambling for fun and Investments for profit.

Everything is indeed extremely beneficial for all of us. But if you want to get something that is fun, profitable, and not get something that makes us lose in the future. It is an investment, as in the investment we could have fun because it doesn't have to do anything and we will benefit already in the know. And the most fun is that we're not addicted

The last part i agree the most!
429  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What type of products you would like to buy with Bitcoins? on: November 27, 2016, 02:13:32 PM
Mostly electronic stuff, like computer/phones computer parts and so on!
430  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: November 27, 2016, 02:12:08 PM
I would recommend to invest in a gambling site, rather than gamble. Ofcourse there is no guarantee that you will make 1 coin, but depending on the site you will invest, you may will
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell us How You bet On Dice on: November 27, 2016, 02:06:46 PM
Well, i mostly choose martingale on 50% with decent amount, and other times for more fun i choose like 10% or even 1% but not martingale obviously Tongue

433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling Investments on: November 27, 2016, 02:04:46 PM
These results re just pure luck, there s no way anyone ll see 1000 BTC lost by one single person again as it happened on Betking a few months ago. So these graphs represent PURE LUCK and nothing more.

CryptoGames seems to be showing pretty consistent results without abrupt declines. I think this is what we should expect on average from house edge coupled with proper management of the bankroll. I'm more interested why the two outsiders in the review are not giving any profits. I mean Satoshi Dice and MoneyPot.

gambling is always pure luck so investing in a gambling site (against the gamblers) is also pure luck. that is an obvious enough fact that everybody knows. but that doesn't mean you can not make profit in the long run. the only thing that you should do is to find a good site which is both popular and fair and then invest what you can afford to lose.

Wrong. It is pure luck minus house edge for the gamblers, and plus house edge for the casino and investors in its bankroll

I think Satoshi Dice and Moneypot could not get the betting volume with regards to the size of their bankrolls and thus were flat.

It is not about betting volume. In this case, moneypot has been made a lot of profit and it is a matter of time when the players will make a huge win. That is why moneypot has been losing money recently due to the huge previous win for the first half of the year. The daily wages is actually quite decent.

Well satoshidice wagers have dropped a lot for some reason. Also, was there a big win in moneypot?
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your aim in gambling???? on: November 27, 2016, 02:03:41 PM
Well, mostly its for fun, i don't really expect to make profit, but mostly to play for fun like 1% odds lol

Leaderboard stats deleted  Huh

It is because the wagering competition has just started, the leaderboard should start from 0 in order to run this kind of competition. Indeed it will be better if they can make separate leaderboard for the competition so they still have the whole time leaderboard since day 1 they open their site.

We corrected this issue, but yeah having a separate leaderboard just for the Contest sounds like a good idea!

You need to explain this better - I do not understand what you are offering exactly?

That might be true! Well, its a contest, where the Players that will be in Top 3 on Top Wagers Leaderboard will get the above prizes!  Cool

Really cool graphics on the dice roll!

Is there a place or way to see the size of the bankroll and how it is doing?

Hehe we worked hard for the animation! Tongue

On the User's Menu, just click Invest and you will see the Bankroll in RealTime Smiley
