1  Local / Projektentwicklung / Mitwirkende gesucht für neue Blockchain-basierte Technologie on: January 23, 2018, 01:53:32 PM
Hallo zusammen,

3) Designer (habe selber eine Designer-Ausbildung, zähle mich also ebenfalls dazu)

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin will lose the battle and I am done with btc. on: January 04, 2018, 03:37:36 PM
I am done with mining and trading bitcoin and I will tell you why:

I started researching on cryptocoins in 2013. You can do your research and find my earliest post here on this forum March, 2013. So feel free to call me that "early adopter" guy. I have been through it all: earning litecoins, bitcoins, terracoins, peer2peercoins by mining, buying them, investing them and losing them all.

Yes, correct. I lost all my bitcoins in various scams and by making dumb decisions. Some vanished @ havelockinvestments (anybody recall that?), some @bitfunder and ukyoloan, some bitcoins I lost because my harddrive crashed and some bitcoins were stolen (s.b. who bought them paid with a stolen credit card and the money was frozen on my account) or the btc went away with the breakdown of MtGox and btc-e. So you can also call me that "cryptolooser" guy.

I started mining projects, even showed people how to set up a miner on youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaY4F9zQsSQ & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOcbjJjJrUg ) in 2013.

All this happened to me but I did not lose my trust in cryptocurrencies! But I lost my trust in bitcoin. And here is my reasons why:

#1 Reason: transaction fees & transfers

Bitcoin is the most expensive coin to transfer and sometimes transfers take ages. So when I go to a store and tell them "hey, I want to buy that pizza with my bitcoin!" and they answer: "no problem, that'll be 6 USD$ + 12 USD$ transaction fees and you will have to wait till tomorrow", then there is no practical use to it. More examples? Here you go: I once wanted to exchange my bitcoin to some altcoin only available on a new exchange market. So I had to register, authenticate and started my transaction. After 2 days, the new altcoin was up 200%(!) and my bitcoin still did not arrive.

#2 Reason: huuuuuuuge blockchain

So my father one day asked me how he can join the cryptocurrency movement and I told him: "just download a wallet and you are ready to go!". Sounded easy to him, but then he realized that he has to download something called "blockchain" until he can start working with it. He did not know that it will take him 2 days to download it and that there might be some more problems that "prevent" him from using the bitcoin like the question where to easily buy it.

#3 Reason: new altcoin = switch

I really like progression and the new altcoins like ripple, tron, "add any new coin name here" show, that there is some great ideas out there and with lower fees, faster transactions and more and more acceptance towards national institutions and banks, people will start to switch to these coins, so the base to support bitcoins will get thinner and thinner and lose its attraction. Do the math: why should somebody support bitcoin, when there is the danger of prohibition and regulation + all the things mentioned above. Sure, bitcoin has its fanbase (and I am and will always be a fan of the concept of bitcoin) BUT not the whole world is made of fanboys and speculation on bitcoin is not that lucrative anymore than speculation on new arriving cryptocoins like ripple, tron, etc. And you can really make money by just switching to new arriving coins, because in the beginning nearly all altcoins are starting very well and you can make lots of profit.

not fast to use, lots of scams

I have been through many scams in the bitcoin world and I am sure I will encounter more of them in the future. Reliable exchange markets have either closed their doors to new registrations or they have very long lasting authentification processes that may take ages (at least weeks to months). Sometimes they even forget about you (like my ticket to bitcoin.de is pending for 3 weeks now and I was not able to sell 0.1 bitcoins when 1 bitcoin was at 20.000 USD$, because I was not able to login anymore). This is not making any fun. Just think of your bitcoin being deposited on some exchange market and you can't login anymore to sell high because there is a) some hacker attack going on b) too many users online or c) they just don't want you to do so.

this is only SOME reasons why bitcoin is not my favorite anymore and why I decided to switch to other cryptocurrencies. This and the pending prohibition by banks and institutions in the asian markets and maybe in europe and USA, too. Sure, they can't take down bitcoin and the bitcoin network BUT they can decide to close markets, exchanges and brokers - and without them, there is no chance to participate anymore.

I want to state clearly that all this is my point of view and my personal subjective view. And that I want to read your opinion on it. This is a forum and I would be glad to hear your personal story and beliefs.
3  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] (HIF) Havelock Investments Fund on: March 02, 2017, 11:15:12 PM
Yesterday I got the following from Havelock:

Status: 0/unconfirmed, not in memory pool
Date: 01.03.2017 16:26
From: unknown
To: 1F9xpLoDfuCgsaK7jqQTkVEoU1jgWTh5gY (own address)
Credit: 0.11956626 BTC
Net amount: +0.11956626 BTC
Transaction ID: 14f141d494020e5769aa6f1acc2937938a09769713ed54b9fcdd17dfd431ca3a
Output index: 0

what does it mean "not in memory pool"? Will it ever reach my wallet?

I don't think that transaction will ever confirm, network is congested and has been for quite awhile, one has to be always checking fees when making a transaction and can always be outbid.

well what can I do? havelock made that transaction, not me... so should I contact them again?

I was having some btc left at havelock (0.120 btc) and just set them to withdraw, but nothings happens... it just says "pending..." what is wrong here???

How long did you make the request?

They usually take some time to process payments but until now they always honored withdrawals, you need to wait a little longer.

thanks for your reply. Well, then I will wait... I just hope it's not another scam...

9  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: June 05, 2014, 06:15:01 PM
Hi.

I have just a short question:

I received that e-mail considering my ice.drill ASIC shares and that they will be transferred to cryptomex.io.
I filled out that cryptomex.io form and sent it back to them.
I registered to cryptomex.io (with the same e-mail adress that is listed on https://www.icedrill.io/account/) - it says I have 48 shares

but I can't see any shares on cryptomex.io in my account.
How do I get them?

Thanks for any help / advice / information.

1.) for me it shows my balance is 0 @ weexclaims.weexchange.co - but this is wrong!
2.) when I try to claim my 1 ulkyo loan it says my public bitfunder adress is invalid - but it is not. It is even in the fu**ing google history.

Why is nothing working?

Ihr wisst schon, dass im neusten Ukyo-Thread steht, dass die Coins weg sind:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348468.msg3863522#msg3863522

Apologies for the slight delay in getting this information out.

Jon (Ukyo) is now here with me in Cyprus to ensure this problem is resolved for everyone involved.

The bitcoins are simply not there anymore, we are continuing to work through the implementation of a number of solutions to correct the issue. We are hoping to have one of many very important announcements before the Christmas holidays that will enable the bitcoins to be returned to those that are owed, however the run up to the holiday period may cause delays in some aspects.

The solution will take time to pay everyone in full however, there will be no preferential payments and the payments will be distributed proportionally.

A full explanation as to why the bitcoins are no longer there, will be provided as soon as we possibly can.

Neo & Bee has no exposure to the liabilities of WeExchange. The solution will enable Neo & Bee and all of those involved in Bitcoin to benefit greatly in the future.

Hi.

I mailed you but I never received any dividends. Why so?
14  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: WeExchange on: November 20, 2013, 10:33:27 AM
Ukyo, you probably dont realize this and wont ever do, because you are financially secured somewhere in america (?) and thanks to your accomplishments in bitcoin community, but you are effectively ruining people's lives here, man..
I am making ~6000 USD per year, i already lost close to 30 coins thanks to securities like BASIC-MINING and some other (i now, i am only to blame myself..), so people ran me over in the past. That amount would be enough to buy me a house where i live.. a nice one that is..
You are holding my last few coins i have hostage and that is everything i have and ever will with the prices like this.. i kinda counted at least on that to change my life significantly in the upcomming years.
I simply cannot afford to buy any new bitcoins when one coin is worth 560 EUR, that is three months worth of rent and food for me. i dont have that kind of money.. if i had, i would buy at least one..
What I want from you is a simple promise that I will see my bitcoins in the upcomming weeks. some of those are belonging to a family member of me and he is very nervous and wants me to do something with it, which is not in my power, obviously.
Please, I beg you.. process my bitcoins and bitcoins of these other people that are impatiently waiting, dont ruin us.
I am sure those other people here would like to use those coins to buy something or sell, when the market is blooming like this.

Thank you very much.

My pending withdrawal is:
Code:
Date	2013-11-13 10:00:07
Transaction ID UNwr0BdIh3Tn5f4H7DlGIfhBHsmurjmj
Type Withdraw
Debit 4.85676424 BTC
Credit
Fee 0.00000000 BTC
BTC Transaction
Status Processing

i am sending messages here, because i am sure your inbox is full and i dont want my message to be lost there. i dont want to spam, please inform me if i am doing something wrong.

+1 - could be me saying that!
