Bump for more hackers!

ETH bridge?
And what does it mean? Atomic swaps or something?

Unrelated to atomic swaps. In a nutshell you burn Syscoins on the SYS blockchain and then use the the resulting proofs from that to mint SYSX ERC20 on the ETH chains through a series of contracts that validate the proof using SPV.

A few terms to be aware of:
Superblock chain (contract) - A two way sidechain between SYS and ETH. 'Agents' collect 60 minutes worth of block headers from the Syscoin chain and post them to a superblock contract on the Ethereum chain. Data from the superblock contract is used to validate proof-of-burn from the Syscoin chain using SPV proofs.
Agents - Nodes that are bonded by 3 ETH and are responsible for submitting SYS block headers to the superblock contract on ETH. These nodes are also responsible for challenging other's who are submitting block headers that do not match their own. This mismatch initializes a challenge/response game between the two. The loser loses their ETH. Agents also earn SYS ERC20 (SYSX) for submitting superblocks. They earn fees for all assets moving across the bridge.
Syscoin Relayer - A process that runs adjacent to syscoind and relays blocks from a local geth client to syscoin. This data is used to validate proof-of-burn from the Ethereum chain coming back to Syscoin using SPV.

There are probably multiple points of attack but i think the biggest opportunities, if any, would be in:
- Submitting bad data to the superblock contract and it not being challenged/declined by other agents
- The challenge response game in itself; DDoS of other agents, or other vectors in there.
- The Syscoin relayer, tricking it somehow maybe?

I'm throwing another 100k SYS onto this fire. Where are the hackers at?

Figured it out, hopefully this helps some other lost soul but you need to update the PROTOCOL_VERSION in serialize.h which was missing from the instructions I found here on BCT.

When I enable all the printf statements I get output like this, which seems to indicate some issue but im not sure what:

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need help with altcoin DNS SEED config- only returning a single IP on: May 03, 2018, 06:44:57 PM
Oh and fwiw there are hundreds of nodes connected to these seed addresses, so there's no reason for them not to be returning +1 IPs...
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need help with altcoin DNS SEED config- only returning a single IP on: May 03, 2018, 06:37:20 PM
I'm trying to get DNS seeds setup properly for Syscoin. We've got the NS and A records all setup properly and a fork for sipa-seeder running but for some reason its only returning 1 ip when queried rather than a list like I see on the bitcoin/litecoin DNS seeds. I'm don't have a wealth of experience with the seeder software so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Here are the changes made to the running sipa-seeder to support Syscoin: https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin-seeder/commit/040ffc1d7a74d65b60451104eb50be9bebaa1129

If you nslookup seed1.syscoin.org or seed2.syscoin.org you can see it returns a single IP which is being served by the sipa-seeder software I just don't know why its not returning more than one:

Code:
nslookup seed1.syscoin.org
Server: 172.31.0.2
Address: 172.31.0.2#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: seed1.syscoin.org
Address: 13.209.29.80

compared to something like dnsseed.litcointools.com:

Code:
nslookup dnsseed.litecointools.com
Server: 172.31.0.2
Address: 172.31.0.2#53

Non-authoritative answer:

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit here on BCT. You can always find me on SYS slack though! I realized the OP here was way out of date and so I took a few minutes this morning to update it. Its now a much more accurate representation of the current status of this project, we'll try to continue to keep it updated as we move forward but if you're ever in doubt you can always get the latest info from our blog here: https://medium.com/@BlockchainFoundry.

We have a new Blockmarket release available as of yesterday, please check it out and the related post:

Things are progressing very well behind the scenes! Please vote for us to be added to Binance, please DO NOT BUY VOTES. That will not get us the positive result we want. Lots more being worked on here behind the scenes as usual. Looking forward to the 1.1.3 release next week followed by 1.2.0 in December! Smiley
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒ Syscoin -Active Lightning Networks!Decentralized Business Blockchain Platform! on: May 29, 2017, 11:03:23 PM
Been a while since i stopped by BCT just wanted to say Consensus 2017 was amazing, made so many connections there; the future for Syscoin and Blockchain Foundry is VERY bright. If you haven't read that blog post yet please do.

Also, thanks @bontol72 for sharing the post about Blockmarket Desktop Beta 3 now being ready for test. While all that was going on Jag lined up a partnership between Blockchain Foundry and the Government of Hawaii. Jag will also be presenting at the International Conference on Computer Communications & Networks 2017 in August where Syscoin's whitepaper was selected for presentation.

So much going on we have yet to share to! Going to be great year for Blockchain Foundry and Syscoin. This team has continued to deliver and we only have more of that coming throughout 2017! I'm on our Slack all the time, so if you've been trying to get a hold of me please join and contact me there!
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeosCoin Official BCT Thread. Details, news and other information. on: April 14, 2017, 03:32:44 PM
Quick question.

I have my old wallet.dat file from way back in the web wallet days and a substantial amount of coins on it.  Did I miss out on the swap or can I still trade them in for the new coins?

Thanks

I have this question as well... where did my coins go? I haven't been keeping up with NEOS but i had funds in a wallet on whatever version was "current" as of January of this year. Seems a mandatory update happened (which is fine) but now I don't see my funds on the new chain at all- can someone from the NEOS team provide some context here?

The wallet my coins are on is "version" 1020001, "protocolversion" 90001 and "walletversion" 60000. Current chain is "version" : "v1.0.1.2-61402", "protocolversion" : 61403, "walletversion" : 60000. Importing my privkey into the new wallet results in zero balance. How do I get my coins back?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒ Syscoin - 2.1.3 w/Segwit Released! Decentralized Business Blockchain Platform! on: March 31, 2017, 11:15:43 PM
perhaps a difficulty adjustment or retarget happened.

A diff adjust/retarget is in progress at the moment- https://chainz.cryptoid.info/sys/# is on the correct chain. You can see via the block history that difficulty is re-adjusting in accordance with hashrate changes.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - Reporting Missing Coins on: March 22, 2017, 12:17:19 AM
I Dm'd Ferdous Bhai about it a few months ago and his response was "The mintpal V2 servers + Ryan's personal assets + money from bank are still seized by the UK police. That case is still ongoing. I'll follow up with the investigator early next week and get back to you!" I never did hear back from him, but I recently found out about the DASH boom... Let's just say I had a lot of DASH... I just dm'd him again and I'll let you know what he says.

This was the same status that I was appraised of (through different channels, as my team is also involved in suit against Ryan) so I believe it to still be the case. The UK authorities are holding the aforementioned assets as evidence. I only chime in because I'm part of the Syscoin team, from which Ryan stole 750BTC along with everyone else's Mintpal assets. We sued him following the theft and our case is also on hold as well (for over a year now) pending the fraud case outcome.

I've updated the OP to reflect the latest news, and added the updated short-term timeline to the OP as well to better indicate to new folks just how much we have coming in these next few months! We really appreciate the community's support and look forward to the major marketing release coming at the end of this month followed by Blockmarket Desktop Public Beta shortly thereafter!

SYS ATH this month?

as for me I don't believe that BM is coming this month and in April too, probably in May or probably no!

Common troll  Huh  predictor Grin

And also the biggest problem of this project is Sasuukeevil trolling the Syscoin community

Glad I'm not the only one saying that.

Cause he is stupid bot!  Grin

Let's keep the discussion on-topic and productive. There is a lot of stuff coming from Blockchain Foundry/SYS in a very short period of time. Anyone questioning that should read up on our blog, check the github commits, etc.

as for me I don't believe that BM is coming this month and in April too, probably in May or probably no!

Blockmarket is definitely coming along with at least 3 other products. Marketing will happen in parallel with these releases and of course following them as well.
