So many altcoins exist, out of which some are more known and used than others. Many of these coins claim to have an utility - for example, Siacoin exists, praising themselves as a Storage Platform.
But what truly bothers me is that, if I think about all those alts I have ever purchased and held, I have never used them for what they are supposedly created for. Besides Monero, where privacy is basically the default, most coins I have ever held have only been used for exchange deposits and withdrawals.
Hence, I thought it'd be a quite interesting idea to create a poll and find an answer to the following question: Do you really use the altcoins you own for the purpose they're supposedly created for?
I thought of this too, did crypto people really use alts for it's own purpose. I bet the majority would be no. I bought major coins in exchanges just to profit from it, and while typing I thought of this monetizing site I use like LBRY, where I can send LBC coins to people who make good video contents, same with other apps that offers monetizing social media and rewarding people w/ their coins. |

I guess this would have happened with the most of us ain't it ? The other day I lost a few $ gambling on Roobet. My luck was so bad that day that when I thought of gambling a little more so that I recover the lost funds I lost more than 3 times the amount I lost earlier  Eventually I just quit the game and didn't play it again for 2 days. This is too obvious for any gambler and everyone can relate to this feeling. What you guys do when such a thing happen with you ? P.S : I did play the game again after a few days and recovered some of the $. But this time I quit the game while I was in profit.  P.P.S : I was conscious while I was trying to recover the lost funds and I tried only till that point where I can't afford to lose anymore. I always keep in mind the amount that I can afford to lose. yup, you should really know the risk before gambling or anything that involves money, but atleast you recovered some of your funds though, you can stop gambling while you still can, some people gone broke because of their gambling addiction. just try any other way to earn and not gamble a lot. |

The pandemic has brought so many of us uncertainties and panic because so many companies are closing and workers are losing their job it causes a big instability in our financial status.
What is the status of your portfolio before and after the pandemic is it good or is it bad have loss a lot or have you gain more coins during this pandemic?
I was really ecstatic at first, really earning again before the pandemic, but then, I got tired of monitoring it and trading, I got so many things running in my mind and I really can't focus, just when I decided to hold my coins a few months ago, it went down and is still down until now, lol, so I think, it is really really bad. maybe and maybe not, maybe copycat defi won't last long, the old ones are still kicking and with good development. the new defi should think of something to add and improve their project to be able to last too. Like KittieFIGHT, a new defi project too, it offers betting cryptocats and will have their Yield Farming too. it is somehow different approach in a defi project.

I like to share my story being a crypto enthusiast, a trader and an investor at the same time.
I started in this forum in year 2015 when altcoins are still a good investment and Binance is still not the most popular exchange in the market.
I trade with Poloniex most of the time, sometimes I trade with Bittrex but then I realize that I am not so profitable with trading since I cannot focus on it due to the reason that i have a day job to prioritize.
Therefore, I started to invest for long term and I was entice by how the market moves and I was so optimistic that long term could really change my life.
So to make the story short, I invested with different altcoins and have help it until now.
Now, when the bull run comes, I still couldn't sell right away as I was getting greedy thinking I could earn more when I still hold.
of course, who would not HODL when all your friends in the group chat are also doing the same, even if the price rise high already, they are still saying HODL, and I really do it, and just sell a small portion of my investment to reward myself temporarily was I was into a big goal with my remaining investment.
And then, the correction comes started in year 2018, and I still didn't panic, continue to hold and even accumulate a bit when I see price has really dump a lot, just imagine ETH drop 10 times, so its really cheap and really tempting for any investors. So here I am now, I am still holding at a big loss but at the same time I am still hopeful one day my dreams will come into reality.
So top 10 of my portfolio consist of the following based on my blockfolio.

lol, you're not alone in this scenario, we are in the boat, and it pains me to think about it, but I'm still trying to study more and not listen to anyone and just follow my guts and the things I've learned. I'll just need to be consistent about it. I'm still holding some new coins now and plan on forgeting it for a while so I can hold longer this time, lol |

Well the market really needs another correction to gain power again to go up, let's see in the coming weeks. There are still good defi projects to invest with today like KittieFIGHT. They offer Yield Farming and betting games. Not quite any project out there.

maybe if your relatives don't really know anything about bitcoin they'll be hesitant to do the transaction, So it is really important that the person your trying to send your BTC know how it works too. LOL, and the fees of sending Bitcoin today is a no joke. Maybe they'll use it once they saw everyone around them uses it too.
