4  Local / India / Re: Planning to sell btc, saving account good for it? on: June 25, 2021, 07:03:00 AM
Localbitcoins is great platform for crypto fiat based transactions but the only problem is the fees which they charge currently at 1% while many such P2P platform charge 0.5% so they need to check on their fees. As per as savings account is concerned it would advice sbi accounts for cashout but as the above user pointed out take a look at the income tax which will incur when the washout is made mostly capital gains.

Edit: The fees are for advertisers or maker/taker and not buyers or seller.

Hope it helps!

How to know when has he entered in the buying spree by looking at the price movements or charts?

Task is to convert EZIOU to EZ using this app: https://app.easyfi.network/#/claim-eziou/dashboard/matic    as soon as EZ from block is available there. Network is polygon. WOuld like script creators or bot developers to help me in this regard. It is a paid job. Write down the price in which you would be able to deliver one.

It happens in three steps:
 - Click Max to load tokens amount that is maximum
 - Click redeem at the bottom, appears when tokens are loaded
 - Metamask fixed gas fee >1
 - Confirm the amount + gas fee.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Looking for similar platform or services on: August 27, 2020, 05:50:49 AM
I'm looking to build my credit line on various crypto websites/platforms with or without collateral. Basically interested in under-collateralized loan platform like zero collateral(zerocollateral.com), but they have very less liquidity. Other non-defi is btcpop. What are other such crypto platforms or services where crypto/fiat can be borrowed with lesser or no collateral. PS: I'm less interested in flash loans type of services.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Looking to trade the usdt market on: April 08, 2020, 11:59:36 AM
I have searched on the internet and find information about withdrawal fees in one place. Just visit https://www.cryptofeesaver.com/exchanges/fees and here you will find some exchanges withdrawal fee information. You can choose one of them. Good Luck

Thank you for posting but this is what I see in there; They have listed the withdrawal fees as %, I have never seen this in any exchanges also the information about withdrawal fees is wrong.

Which exchange are you talking about? I remember you from the Indian Board so are you talking about WazirX and some other Indian exchanges which charged around 10 USDT until March 30th? If so the withdrawal of USDT has been reduced to 0-1.5 USDT as per this article
So if you are planning to trade, Binance is better to trade when compared to Indian Exchanges. Since WazirX has been directly integrated with Binance, you can move your USDT directly to Binance with 0 fees.

This post provides substantial information about the exchanges charging 10usdt fee for withdrawals. The funny part is that they have only reduced the usdt fee after community notice keeping the fees for other stablecoins same as before.

Its not bad if you want to trade the usdt market, but what market are you looking to trade it with?
Is it with btc pair or eth pair ? and are you sure about making profits from doing that in times like this ?

It is already mentioned that I trade in the bitcoins markets.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Looking to trade the usdt market on: April 07, 2020, 10:34:37 AM
Hi community members,
I have been an active trader of the bitcoin markets for couple of years. Now I want to enter the usdt markets. So basically I'm used to 0.00002-.00003 max withdrawal fee from most exchanges but i see usdt exchanges charge somewhat around 10usdt for withdrawal which Imo is very high to someone who is used to the buy sell Btc on low fee exchanges without many kyc verifications. Could someone point me to such low fee exchanges dealing in usdt?
13  Local / India / Re: SBI's action against bank account holders dealing in crypto on: February 18, 2020, 07:57:27 PM
Nationalized bank accounts should never be trusted or used while dealing with crypto. Also, how can these banks even know about crypto transactions when the deals are p2p?
It is not easy but if they really want to weed out the transactions then they can really do that if you are getting transaction from different accounts across the country they can sort that out who is doing these transactions and they can question you about the different sources of money from different accounts, so it is possible if they really wanted to target users.

I have a history of dealing in wholesale electronics back in the day and my customers were from all across the country as I shipped stuff out from the kolkata port. There was no mention of any commercial or current accounts, most of these transactions occurred through the savings account.  My dad and I primarily used Bank of Baroda, UBI and SBI accounts in our names to do this. And I reckon this is a common practice among traders across all the ports of India.

By your logic, the banks should close down my account because there are multiple payments coming from different sources? Isn't that stretching the imagination a bit too much? There is no way one can track the reason of a crypto transaction through p2p trades. And you guys are forgetting the most important factor of them all. It is not prohibited to trade or acquire cryptocurrencies as individuals. Only the commercial applications are prohibited, as in exchanges, shops, web stores, etc. If you want, you can even get paid in crypto for your services. Of course they do not say this explicitly anywhere but I have checked from numerous high ranking officials who are involved in the crypto taxation process that have confirmed this.

I believe you are talking about GST here. GST registration is mandatory for turnover of above 20 lakhs of the products and services identified by the GST bill 2017. This bill however doesn't identify crypto. Now let's say you want to deal p2p and there are people who will want to deal with you so there are few options here:
You meet at a commonplace like a coffee shop or car parking or malls. Most exchanges closed down their offices when the Rbi restricted their banking support. It doesn't mean that the entire place is locked down,  only the operation part was hampered. The different govt. Dept. always have a clash between themselves. I agree that not everywhere logic works but where logic fails money talks. May I know what led you to talk to the tax officials?  Let's see what SC judgement would be.

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is this type of transaction called? on: February 12, 2020, 07:46:03 AM
Yet website like Localbitcoins.com shows this as an incoming transaction that is ready to be credited.

The transaction is real and was broadcasted, probably before the first transaction in the chain (the one doublespending the unspent output) was confirmed. At that point, it was reasonable of localbitcoins to conclude that, in normal circumstances, the transaction could have been confirmed in ~30 minutes.
However, given the fact that the first transaction in the chain of unconfirmed transactions uses an unspent output that's been double spent (and the double spending transaction was confirmed afterwards), this transaction became invalid and the funds should have been removed from your acocunt overview.

It's probably a bug in localbitcoin's accounting system, they should probably remove these funds cause they should not confirm.

Disclaimer: it's early in my country, i hope i didn't mess up when i was following the chain of transactions... I think i followed it correctly, but i have a habit of messing up when i'm tired... If you want to be 100% sure, you should follow the chain of transactions i posted in my previous post by yourself and see if everything adds up.

It hasn't been succesfully been transaction, the transaction is invalid.

"Transaction invalid: some outputs that it attempts to spend have been already spent or are no longer valid."

Correct... In more technical terms:
The transaction with id 7ae6a11ada3be68256bae7fb789a464f2451c0557bd56ecd07c03613cfdc3eb3 uses 1 unspent output as input:

19  Local / India / Re: SBI's action against bank account holders dealing in crypto on: January 17, 2020, 08:45:56 AM
These are the different account status that a bank can keep with the depositor that I have encountered:

- Debit freeze : means that customer cannot withdraw money . Prevalent when the account have been used to receive money from other hacked accounts or involved in Ponzi dealings.
- Credit freeze : means that the customer cannot deposit money. Very prevalent in the case of crypto.
- Account closed : permanent.
- Account inactive : temporarily.
- Restricted : restricted use.

If the transactions amounts are big then bank can temporarily restrict account from using other features like creating fd's etc. until customer provides proof of the source of the money.

PSU banks care less about closing accounts on the basis of complaints as compared to private banks.
