I'm gonna go try the card on some other gas stations too and I'm also gonna see if I can fool the system and get cashback on cash withdrawal by doing it at checkout when I pay for my grocerys.

You will probably have this problem with several petrol stations. This is because the card is classed as a prepaid card rather than a debit card. I had a similar problem using the Revolut card when traveling through Europe. Some stations were fine and others weren’t. You can usually pay at the counter with it (after fuelling) but not at the pump (before fuelling)

It's been a while since I did much conversion but last I recall, it tended to be that you got a better rate if you had your card do the conversion (if using a credit card) than the bank ATM because banks are bastards.

I completely agree with Richy here. I ALWAYS ignore the conversion rate offered and pay in local currency. The visa or mastercard rate offered by Revolut is far better and they don’t charge a high ‘non sterling’ fee. On larger transactions such as hotel bills, the difference can be quite substantial. You were lucky they were the same rate on this occasion, but maybe try a few more to be sure.

Ouch! I know we’re up in general but this dip really makes the eyes water. Even if Bob is cheering buying at $49k... I know he’s crying at the bottom line.

And with that, time for bed.

80k KUD would do quite nicely!

Dunno. I felt richer in 2017. In 2021 the fork coins have no value (not that I own any any more) and XMR is on 75% discount relatively.

So you felt richer after BTC went from 700 -> 18,000 compared to 9000 -> 30,000?       Seems right but that would mean it is downhill from here which doesn't seem to be the case.      Do you remember when BTC was hitting $3000?  How does that feeling compare to now?

Good point! I think i should use ‘was’ instead of ‘felt’

Thank you Philipma1957 for the merit.

Didn't notice if this was already posted here. If so, sorry for the repost:

A little comic relief...

I came here to catch up. Can’t believe 0.0045 but I am not looking to sell. I just can’t predict the floor.

I already have a Toyota, and loving it. I wouldn't go near a Lambo, even if you paid me.

The only money I will burn is spending it on this:

I will drive it until it falls apart.

Very good choice! I always had Mercedes cars until 2017. Then I bought a BMW 520d (after reading a Clarkson review between the 520d and E220).  The BMW fantastic car! Comfortable, great performance, handling and economy! Also models pre April 2017 are only £30 a year to tax in the UK.

It is a weird feeling to be upset about corn being stuck between 19 and 19.5... we're spoiled.

I feel this way about Monero. $130?!?! WTF man!

I do not know where Proudhon went, but I feel certain he could confirm, scientifically, that we are about to see a very large "Inverse Bearish Spike Indicator".

我之前和他谈过,他从“消息来源”确认中国再次禁止比特币

I bought 0.35 Bitcoin recently when the price hits $3,850

Best decision I ever made, what a profit.  Cool

And YES, Bitcoin was already dead long time ago.

And, you always (and only) bang 10s, too.   Wink

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Those were mine. I sold them by accident. Please can I have them back. I’ll give you £5 for your trouble.

Cable going down is good for UK exports.
They export a lot of things, like....
like...
Fish and Chips
Warm Beer
Cricket

That's about it.

I'm always surprised that people outside UK think we drink warm beer. Can't say I've ever had a warm beer in my life. Beer which isn't kept in a fridge is mostly of the real ale variety, which are generally hand pumped from a barrel in a bar's cellar. British cellars are pretty cold.

They forgot to add warm and flatTongue

I think I prefer the beer in the UK to the stuff I drank in the US.

Honestly it looks like 3.5k is almost a sure thing now, lower high after lower high, the question now is do we see a lower low compared to January 2019 (3k)?
I tend to believe it is entirely possible. We will definitely see 6.5k again but probably not this year.

Even 1k-2k area is something we could see again. The good news is there will be another bubble in the future. Nothing better than Bitcoin to make 500%-1000% profits.

500%-1000% from 1k? Entirely possible. 1000% from 2k (new ATH)? Unlikely. I am inclined to think that the all-time bitcoin bull market is over and we will see sideways trend for many years. Next (2024) halving may push the price up a bit, however.

Now that sounds like desperation. And I like it.

Nothing brings us back to reality better than a good kick in the nuts.

I prefer less painful ways of bringing me back to reality.
