New York's financial regulator had sights set on becoming a global hub for innovations like bitcoin when it adopted trailblazing virtual currency rules last year. But the state lost that momentum when the agency's chief left, putting a licensing process in limbo and allowing rivals to catch up. Since June 2015, New York has required virtual currency firms doing business there to get a "BitLicense" to hold customer funds and exchange virtual coins for dollars and other regular currencies. Read more http://www.reuters.com/article/us-bitcoin-regulations-dfs-idUSKBN12V0CMJust read this article, the title caught my eye. Goes on to say that the new agency head is working to clear up the backlog. Bodes well for Bitcoin that such people can see it's potential, along with the rivals.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase?

Since i see many people only care or focus about bitcoin price and they say it's good for bitcoin future. But, of course we know bitcoin is a currency and we need people who use/accept bitcoin as currency.
So, Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? Of course, we're NOT talking huge price increase because mass adoption.
I would say mass adoption would be very positive outcome on Bitcoin future. I wonder how high the price would go with the limited supply once it achieves what could be considered mass adoption.

If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.
For other people Maybe scamming is the only way to get bitcoins in times you need bitcoin in fast way. I dont think someone will give you if your begging for it. It sure seems like their have been a lot of scammers and hackers around this circle. We're plagued with them. Would be interesting to see an estimate on how much has been made off with.

A strong earthquake has struck near Norcia in central Italy, destroying numerous buildings. It comes nearly two months after a major earthquake killed almost 300 people and destroyed several towns. stay updated : http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-37814975 Keep in mind that the earthquake happened like two hours ago and only a few people were hurt and no deaths were reported yet. Well the less injuries is good. Let's hope this will not be a regular pattern for the area. Any stronger earthquake could start to do more serious damage.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FACT CHECK: Bitcoin Blockchain will be 700GB in 4 Years
|
on: October 30, 2016, 06:16:19 PM

Would it not be possible to buy a harddrive with the blockchain already on it? Downloading 700GB P2P, I guess that would take weeks or even months. Every package sent around the globe usually is faster. In 4 years, a 700 GB USB stick will be a normal thing.
1TB usb is currently around $600. Plus, loading fees, plus delivery, plus taxes, lets say its around $400 $300 delivered to your door in 4 years. Would you buy one? Don't forget that monthly bandwidth cost. Ok, let's say we put it on a ssd. You get a 1TB ssd today for about 200$. In four years maybe 50$. If you can spare somebody from downloading the blockchain for weeks, I can imagine that there are people who give you 150$ for it. In four years. I really think that could work. Do you have another opinion? I expect competition would bring it down 75 or less plus shipping.

how many people are lucky but lose,How else have no relation with luck but uses several strategy that allows them to make earnings, and also how many people have no experience in games but who make big pot, and others who uses the same strategy that worked for other people but does not work for them. So; do you believe that earnings in gambling is depending on luck? Sure, luck makes sense. Sometimes I get win streaks, I try to quit while ahead, best strategy.
