5041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 18, 2021, 12:10:44 PM
I think the lottery is just there to motivate people to get the vaccine and probably make it something that most people will talk about and spread the word out so that they come in numbers.

Great initiative from the polish government if you ask me because it's very difficult to convince people to get the covid vaccination in any part of the world because of the many rumors that are being spread about the covax.
5042  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Marriage on: July 18, 2021, 03:37:36 AM
I don't think this can really create memorable memories of your big day, imagine no photos..no kiss come on...I would prefer to have an actual wedding over this NFT ecosystem unless you don't have friends etc.
Another better alternative would be to have a virtual wedding to avoid crowding as a counter measure to covid.
5043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will dogecoin drop to $0.2 again? on: July 18, 2021, 02:31:42 AM
Yeah, the next bull run might trigger it again to reach as high as it did before.

But what if there's no more Elon on the next bull run and Dogecoin finally sets off to settlement and there's no longer that much attention on it as Elon changes his ways.

And for those who likes to take some gamble on these coins as they still feel the hype, good luck to you folks.
We all agree that dogecoin became relevant after it was publicly known that Elon had invested in it which produced an artificial price and should he chose to pull out....
well let's just say the price will drop drastically and you wouldn't want to be a hodler when this happens.

Quote
Will dogecoin drop to $0.2 again?
I think it will, when the hype man(elon) leaves as he is unpredictable.
5044  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you aren't reading you shouldn't be trading on: July 17, 2021, 08:24:13 PM
As much as there is some truth in the op I disagree with some of the information included.
You don't really need news or indicators to know how to trade, most of my friends including myself prefer to trade using a naked chart and I find myself making a bit of steady profit because you also need to apply proper risk management which most traders lack.
5045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: July 17, 2021, 08:14:06 PM
This is like the third time am seeing a thread talk about Gambling addiction,  does this mean this pandemic has given people a reason to gamble more such that they have forgotten to limit themselves??

If gambling is really an issue talk to some one you trust preferably family or friends because you don't want someone that will look down on you for opening up.
5046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC exist without Fiat? on: July 17, 2021, 04:10:25 PM
Tbh we haven't got to a point where everything is built around digitalisation  and is trust worthy, we have heard on several occupations people and companies having their systems compromised,  hacked etc, there is still a lot of work to be done for us to trust the system and top security put in place to run independently.

So many answer will be a no,we still need fiat and crypto (BTC) to run simultaneously to each other.
5047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know if an altcoin is a scam? on: July 17, 2021, 03:40:35 PM
If you are quite exposed with altcoin projects and have the technical know how, you could go through the white paper proof read it for any plagiarism, if you find it alert everyone to avoid orhwrs from being scammed!

Sometimes a simple Google search on reviews about a project can reveal so much which should help you make the call it its legit or not, just don't fall for the hype people are paid to paint a picture a project is promising.
5048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America Approves Bitcoin Futures on: July 17, 2021, 03:32:49 PM
this is very interesting news, after china banned bitcoin mining, and banned its citizens from playing crypto money, but instead good news came from the bank of america which accepted bitcoin, actually bitcoin will never be lost, we can see one lost one grows a thousand, china goes left crypto, but america accepted it, maybe in the future other banks will follow the steps of bank of america, we'll just have to wait for the future..
Very true, this is some great news in the midst of events that contributed to the tanking of price

and now after a long time  we have some bullish news we can celebrate about ,we needed it tbh!

But am hoping this can be seen in bitcoins price reacting to the upwards.
5049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 17, 2021, 12:17:45 PM
Varane is close to Manchester United.
Another big fee for them after Sancho.
They are talking about 50m €.

Source: https://twitter.com/theMadridZone/status/1416150540011048970

Raphael Varane will be a good signing for Manchester United. The red devils are making a good team this year. They come to good places in European cups and in the English Premier League. Raphael Varane is worth gold for his 4-3-3 tactic. Solksjaer plays friendlies with this tactic. He is trying to adapt this to the team.
Before we keep speculating about the potential move of Raphael Varane coming to Manchester United, is this going to materialize and not turn into another players name that will remain in Uniteds wishlist!

Otherwise I like how Varane played in the Euros which shows he still has alot to offer and United could benefit from his services.
5050  Other / Archival / Re: Will we break the key support at $30 800 or not? on: July 17, 2021, 11:59:41 AM
The interesting thing at looking at this chart is that the bearish candles keep reducing in size and now we have multiple small red candles on the downwards which are a sign that sellers are losing control of the market and we should be expecting a bullish candle anytime soon as buyers take control of the market, more like the falling wedge as @Tytanowy Janusz as posted.
5051  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-07-09] Russia Drafting Law on Confiscation of Crypto Assets on: July 17, 2021, 09:26:08 AM
This is something I never thought I would ever see, imagine the Government confiscating crypto which is suppose to be personal property....what happens when you tell them you don't remember your key or password to the wallet what will they do, put you behind bars for a non criminal case....this is extreme to say the least. Shame to whoever is spearheading this agenda!
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 17, 2021, 09:00:30 AM
Knowing the signs of gambling addiction is very easy to know or to detect it yourself but it is not easy to get rid of it if you don't have some help from friends or family.
Seeking for help from friends and family is easier said than done for most people especially if it's something like gambling which can get you marginalised...because there are people that don't see this has a bad habit that's hard to stop to offer them the help they need.

I know a neighbour which is so very addicted in gambling where he sold some of his personal belongings like motorcycle just to be able to gamble until a time when he borrowed some money and now he is full of debt. Luckily, he is brought to rehabilitation center which makes him non gambling addict compared before.
Bad habits die hard, if he gambled for financial gain and doesn't find a job or something he will be back but I hope he doesn't go back
5053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 17, 2021, 07:53:30 AM
What do you think of sexy casinos? Do you think it's a good thing? Have you ever tried any? What is your favorite one?
"Sexy casino's " what about them ?

Could you give us more information to how the work and where they are found because honestly I have no idea of what this relates to.

Maybe this is in relation with brick and mortar casinos and their customer service strategy  of using beautiful ladies to run their business...
5054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people who ban Bitcoin in some countries give up Bitcoin? on: July 17, 2021, 07:46:06 AM
This whole crypto ban , how do they really apply it otherthan making buying crypto with local banks a dead-end. Because if crypto addresses don't have mobile numbers or your names on them how would they know....Do they monitor your internet history to monitor your every move which you can easily fix by using a VPS to keep them in the dark.
5055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian government changing the state of lotteries on: July 17, 2021, 06:29:34 AM
"Unexplored" meaning the Nigerian government wants its huge population to gamble more ! I don't like the sound of it and afaik these are the kind of issues that bring conflict knowing that different religious groups have different opinions over gambling. Tbh It's no brainer if gambling is taxable the real winners here are the government and not the people.

5056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 16, 2021, 10:35:48 PM
I think this Italian win will be the start of a dominant period for them. I think they must be up there for favorites of the world cup along with Brazil too.
As much as the world would like to see these guys win, these competitions tend to leave out the favourites off the podium

If France can get their act together they might be in the running for it too but I can't see that happening since they are a team full of individuals and not a functioning team.
Not that am arguing but Sometimes it's individual effort that wins games and it's up to France to find what works best for them because they have a quality time and I would root for them to win.

Italy just seem to have it all and are a great defensive team under pressure which is needed to win the big games.
Agreed. For the Euros they did put up a good show but those draws are dangerous match deciders, if they are to win bigger competitions they  need to start winning games inside open play and also practice more on penalties.
5057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claim your FOX token If you used ShapeShift Before June 9 2021 on: July 16, 2021, 10:23:17 PM
I have known about shapeshit for quite sometime and  these guys have actually offered free fox for using there platform but what I don't understand is why the fox token isn't tradeable because if it did these guys would have being a big entity by now,I wonder were they missed it.
5058  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does CryptoTab Browser Mine BTC? on: July 16, 2021, 09:30:17 PM
I would advise any one trying to use this browser for crypto mining to stay away from it because we all know the legit processes of how to mine and this isn't!

Besides anything with a nature of third parties and isn't transparent with how they payout is shared with the pool could be enriching themselves
5059  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-07-15] Fed Chairman Says U.S. Might Need More Crypto Regulation. Here’s Wh on: July 16, 2021, 09:21:27 PM
Fed Chairman Says U.S. Might Need More Crypto Regulation. Here’s What That Means for Investors

The U.S. government this week laid more groundwork for potential future cryptocurrency regulation.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell spoke Wednesday, July 14 about the Fed’s interest in regulating stablecoins and the potential for a central bank digital currency (CBDC), while testifying before the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services.

Stablecoins (Tether and USD Coin, for example) are a category of cryptocurrencies that peg their value to an existing fiat currency, like the U.S. dollar. That helps stabilize their value, so they’re better suited for digital payments — unlike more volatile digital assets like Bitcoin. Ideally, these coins are underwritten by a reserve of the currency they’re tied to, but today there’s little official regulation enforcing that.

Powell compared them to money market funds or bank deposits, which have a strong regulatory framework in the United States. “That doesn’t exist for stablecoins,” he said. “And if they’re going to be a significant part of the payments universe — which we don’t think crypto assets will be, but stablecoins might be —  then we need an appropriate regulatory framework, which frankly we don’t have.”
What Does This Mean for Crypto Investors?
Experts we’ve spoken to largely agree that long-term crypto investors should stick with well-known cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Unless you’re doing more active trading — and are comfortable with the risks of buying lesser-known coins — the two most popular currencies are the best options for most people.

Regulation like what Powell is talking about is more likely to impact stablecoins and other smaller altcoins, experts say. “They have different use cases,” says Mike Uehlein, founder and financial planner at WealthU Advisors, referring to Bitcoin versus stablecoins.

5060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHICH COUNTRIES COULD FOLLOW EL SALVADOR BY MAKING BITCOIN LEGAL TENDER? on: July 16, 2021, 06:16:34 PM
Coinmarketcap has released a list of countries with crypto as a Legal Tender (only El Salvador at this moment) and list named "Predict next country/region" where coinmarketcap community tries to guess the next country. So far Paraguay is top 1 with 73k votes. Next Venezuela (53k), Anguilla (31k), Panama (15k).
https://coinmarketcap.com/legal-tender-countries/

I think that Nigeria should be higher than top 13 since its country with the biggest crypto adoption in Africa. Dunno what their government says about crypto. Same with Philippines (top32)
This is shocking to me to find only  El Salvador on that list, thought we had more than this when we had some countries recognize crypto to be legal tender a couple of years back.
Today you telling the world only has one to be legal...Afaik Countries such has Venezuela , singapore, Japan are/should be  on that list if not then they are next in line.
