1  Economy / Economics / Re: Recap at 2016, have you reached your financial goals? on: January 01, 2017, 10:33:47 AM
Bitcoin's performance made it a wonderful year for me
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why bitcoins illegal ???? on: January 01, 2017, 10:31:56 AM
No one said it was illegal. But no one has admitted it.

You are wrong. Some countries, such as Switzerland and Singapore have legalized Bitcoin, and have even introduced laws aimed at its regulation. On the other hand, only a few countries (such as Vietnam and Iceland) have banned it explicitly.

Most of the governments have already come to terms that bitcoin is here to stay, so even if they wanted to ban it in some way they eventually though better of it. Yet there are governments that are either still getting the whole idea wrong or are just too stupid to accept the facts
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: January 01, 2017, 10:25:29 AM
Bitcoin have the big chance to replace fiat. Becouse people in some countries were change their money in to bitcoin to save their wealth when their fiat price is fall against USD. Those country need to import logistic that they have to pay with USD. So I think people will prefer like to use bitcoin than fiat.
nope i think bitcoin barely have a chance to replace fiat, how could the world of the financial system that has been built hundreds of years ago (very strong) can be replaced by bitcoin. although bitcoin might have a bright future. but I think bitcoin will not be able to replace fiat

Bitcoin definitely has that potential, but it's contingent on a large number of factors
4  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: January 01, 2017, 10:22:22 AM
Bitcoin would have been more popular and accepted by companies as a payment option if it had a stable price as they dont need to face loss due to fluctuation in price. But on the other hand, traders would not have liked bitcoin as now because they could not yield more profits due to its stable price. But for people who use bitcoin only for transactions would feel no differences if bitcoin had a stable price or not.

This is exactly what would happen. It would be very convenient as a payment option, but it's value as an investment asset will be gone.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Want to Be a Millionaire? Two Main Rules of Bitcoin Investing on: January 01, 2017, 10:17:20 AM
Not much could be taken away from articles like that. Total bs.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000? on: January 01, 2017, 10:13:51 AM
Bitcoin price has almost reached $960. If there is increase in demand for bitcoins, surely, btc price would go much higher. Certainly, demand for bitcoins has increased much higher recently and main reason for it is demonitisation of high value currencies in india and it has made rich people to invest their money in bitcoins.I guess bitcoin price would cross $1200 by the end of jan 2017

Increased demand is coming from both investors seeking havens from capital market instability as well as big money seriously considering it under within the alternative investment assets class.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Once we hit $1000, how far will BTC drop? on: January 01, 2017, 10:10:48 AM
Once the bitcoin price hits 1,000$ it maybe drop at max 850$ and it will be in sideway for 1-2 months after that it will grow up again.
I expect the new top price hits at 1,260$ in September, 2017.

$1,200-1,400 would be a perfect target range for 2017.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipulation finished. Bubble popping. on: January 01, 2017, 10:06:06 AM
Very classy that anyone who doesnt not subscribe to the "price is going up forever" cultism is labeled troll and a lowlife here. Pretty disgusting, actually.

On the price :

There is a very high probability chance that this rise was manipulated.  If you dont see that lately the price is in a full control of 2 chinese exchanges - you are fooling yourself.

Were these exchanges ever invistigated properly? Do they hold as much coins in their wallet as volume shows?

If they are fully incontrol of the price (and its a fact now), what is there stopping them to make a deal with chinese miners, and pump the price artificially high with bots "trading" with each other?

Now you can go ahead and label me beartroll moron lowlife inbreed etc.

Bra, check the duck's post history, he IS a troll and a perma-bear. As far as the price of BTC is concerned, it goes up and goes down and goes up higher. That is fact, not speculation. Eventually, it will set a new ATH and surpass it, as long as nothing else comes along to supplant it. That trend will continue until it reaches its maximum valuation, whatever that will be.

That's totally correct, I hate labeling, but that guy is a troll

10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: December 29, 2016, 09:31:46 AM
Yeah as someone had already written. Dont put one egg into one baskets. Bitcoins is a good hedge against stocks and vice versa so you could have both as well as oil or other commodities which could only rise in price as they are so low.

i wouldnt be so quick to invest in oil when the world is turning to electric vehicles ,oil might go sideways for a long time because there is no shortage of it anymore.....

I wouldn't go for oil for a long haul, for certain. The rate at which alternative energy is proliferating is outright astonishing.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: You might be in a bitcoin rally if... on: December 29, 2016, 09:26:07 AM
If sell at the bottom of every correction and then rebuy as a new high is made and you are still way up on your trades, you might be in a bitcoin rally

Sign of a rally:
I've had several people ask me about bitcoin recently.  They know I am involved with it because I have recommended it as an investment for a few years.

They are good traders/investors, trading stocks, options, and futures but not crypto to this point.

I don't take their interest as a worrisome sign of a bubble.  These are serious investors, not greater fools looking for a quick buck.

I've been going through a very similar situation with several serious investors taking a profound interest in bitcoin. I think that this is all in all a good sign for bitcoin. On the other hand, I hope that bitcoin ETFs do not hit the market any time soon as bitcoin is not ready for it yet.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long until India "bans" bitcoin and it's effects? on: December 29, 2016, 08:44:58 AM
Obviously, there's no reason for Indian authorities to view bitcoin as a threat to their grip on the monetary system. Yet the move to phase the banknotes out was dubious at best. So, who knows what's on their minds. Anyway, it won't have any major influence on the price.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value Predictions on: December 29, 2016, 08:40:39 AM
I predict bitcoin will grow up 2000$ at the end of 2017.
I have just bought 5 bitcoins for holding for 1 year to get more earnings.
I think The year of 2017 will be the best bitcoin year.

Yes, the outlook for 2017 is very optimistic, but even significant drops cannot be ruled out
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price is $977 now, Will it hit $1,000? on: December 29, 2016, 08:38:50 AM
I think 2017 is the year of 4 digits price of BTC actually.

We should get used to that  Smiley
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000+ is anytime now on: December 29, 2016, 08:37:13 AM
Any second now!

Right, that could happen by the end of the day  Wink
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin in 2017 on: December 29, 2016, 08:32:55 AM
The price will rise to at least $1,500 by the end of 2017. Drops and hikes are likely and will correlate with the general sentiment in the global capital markets. If overall uncertainly prevails, the price would keep rising as the liquidity of bitcoin is inherently low. The better part of demand will be generated by that.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: These are the good times. on: December 29, 2016, 08:24:49 AM
They happen every couple years. Enjoy it.
Do you talking about the current price for bitcoin, right? That's a real break to bitcoin I think. I saw on exchanger they have 978$ per 1 BTC. 1000$ is crazily near. But how to enjoy this times? To sell bitcoins or to keep it, cause the grown will be continued?

I am 100% certain with you, because i also confused about selling or holding the bitcoin, even i also don't know it is time to celebrate or wait for price increasing more and more. Now i have sold my 2 bitcoins and still i hold my 2 more bitcoins, but every time, i think may be price will be more increased, that's why i have been stop myself and look the speculation about bitcoin price.

Depending at exactly what price levels you bought and sold your coins at, you most likely have done well. If you sold at current levels where you made a more than decent profit, I would just wait out the market reaction at the time the price reaches $1000 again. Selling more is not smart as literally anything can happen. You'll benefit anyway. If the price goes down, you'll be able to buy back at lower levels. If the price goes up further, you'll be able to cash out even more profits on the way up. Just make sure you always hold at least 1BTC that you will not sell.

The price is really so volatile that it's so hard to know when to sell. Maybe when it reaches $1,000 there would be multitudes of people selling enormous amounts of bitcoins. If it does happen the supply would boost and the buy demand will drop and that would result to a correction then probably that would be the best time to buy a lot of bitcoins.
The prices are rising very fast, pretty confident with these conditions all traders or holders of bitcoin was in a state of confusion because there is the likelihood of bitcoin prices may touch $ 1,000 after the new year.

There's a lingering feeling that a climb that fast could end up in a huge drop, but then again it ain't such a bad thing in the long run  Smiley
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on fire! Made the front page of reddit!! on: December 27, 2016, 07:42:02 PM
It will be good for bitcoin. Since bitcoin surge to $900, i've seen many news about bitcoin. Some of that are good and some are bad. But this is good advertisement for bitcoin. Reddit is a bigtime forum. Many people will read this so i hope it has a positive effect on the price.

I think that most of the news about this current bull run has been positive, i have seen the mainstream media take a liking to bitcoin over the last 6 months.  i think that most of them are secretly getting some for them selves before the real pump comes.

The mainstream media would write about anything that's trending without giving much thought about it. But they definitely add to the general hype about bitcoin.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Once we hit $1000, how far will BTC drop? on: December 27, 2016, 07:39:09 PM
A drop is a possibility, but I don't think it will be a drastic one. I, for one, am not selling anything when it hits the $1k  Grin
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 rally is led by India on: December 27, 2016, 07:35:35 PM
There is a definitely a variety of factors that contributed to the overwhelmingly successful year for Bitcoin. Recent currency developments in India are just one of them, with strong demand from China being the main driving force.
