1. 1600w should have absolutely no issues, 1070s work most efficiently with lowered power limit, my systems with 6 1070s and 1000w psu have been stable for more than a year now, power draw is around 750w with my setup. As for psu cables, 2 gpus max for pci-e cable, most 1070s come with 1x 8pin power so the cables on your psu should be adequate without any additional adapters. 3 molex for risers off single cable or 1 sata for riser off single cable max, avoid using sata or molex to sata adapters if possible. Personally I haven't run into issues with those, but I use max of one per rig but I've seen people with burned cables so beware. 2. SSD size doesn't really matter, some algos will require larger swap file, I've set mine to 32gb and never had problems, although I like 128gb ssds in my rigs for resale value and convenience. 3. This depends on the algo and miner used, some have little to no performance impact, some will render desktop basically unusable, typically this can be worked around by setting low intensity to the primary gpu, or simply mining low intensity algo like cryptonight for example.

I have updated driver to the newest one 17.12.1 and now my rx 570 is stuck to 300 mhz core clock which cripples mining performance Has anyone noticed something similiar ? I've had issues with radeon mining after the latest windows update, before the card would only do 19 mh/s eth max with blockchain driver, but now it's doing 6 which is completely not worth it. Not enough info, can't compute. What miner? What OC tool? Wattman works for me on RX560s and RX580s, so its you, not driver (although, drives DID broke claymore voldage, frequency and fans control, and temperature and fan speed report) Here's as much information as possible, This is asus rx 570 strix 4gb, bios modded to 1500 strap, using windows 10 1709 and 10.0 claymore's dual miner, I have tried using msi afterburner and wattman for overclocking, but the card stays in idle mode for core clock resulting in crippled performance - https://i.imgur.com/XLnuXHn.png I have applied atikmdag patcher as with all of my other cards, and had no issues until the 1709 windows update. Now I can't force the gpu to work at anything but idle 300 mhz, I have tried deleting adrenaline drivers and going back to the blockchain ones, but it's still the same.

I notice that this adrenalin driver makes configuration -cclock -mclock etc from claymore dual mining 10.0 with no effect
I use wattman to force configuration. Not easy at all.
Do you notice that ?
For me nothing works, I switched the driver to "compute" mode, core clock is just stuck to 300mhz, adjusting it with msi afterburner or wattman does nothing, it's like the card thinks it's idle while working on claymore's ethminer.

Anyone mining this on amd polaris cards ? Is the profit as good as whattomine claims it to be ?

So since the airdrop will increase by 1% every month, that means that airdrop coins will eventually run out, is there an estimate when last aidrop will happen ?

I have tried out an automatic algo switching solution for the first time, by default I can see that algos change every 2 minutes or so, is that really optimal for the earnings ? I feel like more time is wasted reconnnecting and reloading gpus with new algo, than it is actually worth a dime. I know that config file allows me to change that to whatever I want, but is there any reason why default is 2 minutes ?
edit : ah ok, so I get it now, the first run it's doing benchmarking, so here's another question, if I have private miners like sp-mod, can I make the script use that instead for a single algo ? How would I go around doing that ?

I can't be much of a help as I've run into the exact same issue running gtx 1060s, however 7 rx 470s work just fine with that board, the issue could be on nvidia driver side ? I can't say for sure as I could not figure out a way to make 7 1060s run on that board.

Maybe I've been unlucky with my cards, but I have started mining last year in July, and I have 4 dead rx 470s on my hands. I got my money back from RMA process so it's not so bad, but it seems like my failure rate has been higher than anyone else. Prior to mining I have never RMA'd a single piece of hardware... And the cards were kept in good condition or so I thought, always below 70c in an open air bench.

The stratum for BTX pool seems to be down again, if this continues I will have to leave this pool for something else, even though I really like this pool otherwise.
|
|

@Chrys
Something is wrong with the BTX pool. The sharerate is just a fraction of what it should be. Please take a look at this.
--ypsi
I can confirm that, all of my rigs are down they cannot connect to stratum.

Maybe I have had a bad luck, but out of 12 sapphire rx 470 nitros I have bought 4 already broken, didn't even last a year, although the RMA process went smoothly so at least there's that.

I appreciate a project like this, but it really needs dual mining capability to be competitive with claymore's miner.

Can anyone report hashrate of eth + lbc mode on r9 fury/fury x or nano ? Thanks

Interesting idea, I'll be following this project closely.

Tried out the miner at skunkhash, reaching about 34.5mh/s with a gtx 1080 FE, 65% power limit, +160 core, -500 memory. I also like the pool provided by the devs, can't wait for timetravel algo implementation, I'm very interested in mining BTX after SIGT POW period is over. I think I will transition most of my miners to CWIgm after I'm done tinkering with it.

I'm interested in mining this coin but I can't find a profitability calculator anywhere, can anyone link one ?

I applied the driver to one of my rigs, and i see improved hashrate but wattool refuses to work, I managed to get undervolting under control with MSI afterburner beta 16, but i'd rather have wattool on my AMD rigs, any way to get wattool to work with newer drivers ? I only have rx 470s.

can't see a speedup with GTX 1060, its even 1 Mh/s less in total - some config adjustments needed? Speed for me is the same on 1060 6gb and 1070, but 1080 FE is faster by 1mh/s, getting about 32mh/s now with 65% power limit.

How do you guys monitor your spr miners ? There's no pool to watch hashrate, the wallet itself doesn't show the hashrate or at least I don't see it anywhere, the only way I have is to remote into my miners and see if everything is fine, so far no crashes but I'd like some sort of more convenient way of monitoring rigs.
