So for now Real Madrid are at the top of the League but Barcelona wouldn’t make any big mistake today to allow the top spot slide, they should be able to win Real Oviedo to still remain at the top of Laliga.
At least Real Madrid can feel like they are at the top of the standings again, even if only temporarily, because Barcelona will definitely reclaim the top of the standings because Barcelona will definitely win against Oviedo, especially since Barcelona is playing at home and can even win by a big score. Temporarily? That sounds like you're already sure about what's coming next. But what if Barcelona lose or draw? Does the word “temporarily” still hold then? In football, anything is possible. It's too early to rush into conclusions. Who would have thought Barcelona could drop points like Real Madrid? Of course, Oviedo are not Albacete, but that doesn't mean surprises can't happen. That's the beauty of the game.

In the 2nd match of the ODI series between England vs Sri Lanka, we can say that England's bowling line was great, as England's bowlers bowled out Sri Lanka for 219 runs which was not a big target in an ODI match, it was a very easy target. In the ongoing New Zealand and India T20 series, we have seen higher scores than this. However, if Sri Lanka could have scored 250+ then it would have been challenging for England. Anyway, England lost the 1st match and won the 2nd match, in this match Joe Root performed brilliantly, he took two wickets with the ball and also did well with the bat which is commendable. Now that the series is tied 1-1, the third match is going to be the final and exciting match, the team that wins the 3rd match will win the series.
Sri Lanka batting first but couldn't score good runs at all, got all out on 219 runs, and on the other hand England was also putting some clever moves using multiple bowlers, and the thing is their plans were being successful, working in order. This was good and excellent gameplay by them. When England got a wicket early of Kamil Mishara at 16 runs, and after some overs, they got the second wicket of Pathum Nissanka, so they started to try many different bowlers, and they also found another bowler Joe Root with 2 wickets in 2.3 overs and also he got a couple of catches today. England used eight bowlers in this innings, they were keen on getting the Sri Lankan wickets and didn't let them settle at any stage. 219 was not a fighting total, so it's no surprise England hit back, winning the second ODI by five wickets and leveling the three-match series at 1–1. That said, England's recent performances in major tournaments like the World Cup and the Champions Trophy have been disappointing, and they've now lost their last 10 away ODIs. Ideally, England should be winning series like this more convincingly.

Manchester City vs Wolves match is a match worth considering. Manchester City haven't picked up three points in their last four matches, and it would be a terrible match if they don't get a result today. They're already under pressure to take points, but Manchester City form this season is in disarray. Their defense, midfield, and attack haven't been able to perform to their full potential. Wolves are the worst team in the Premier League this season, so I see no reason for Manchester City to lose or draw. The only option is to win, or else the Premier League trophy will officially be Arsenal. Despite Manchester City's poor form this season, I see a clear win for them against bottom of the table Wolves. Wolves come to the Etihad today as big underdogs. A shock like Glimt would only be possible if they defend very well and counterattack quickly. That seems unlikely, as City are desperate for wins and have no other option. Still, hopefully Wolves fight hard and make it competitive.

I'm tired of looking around anymore in the league, it's always boring because you'll always guess right the top club, it's always Bayern, while the next 5-6 clubs will now be competing with their weaknesses, even though it could be interesting to watch. But in the spirit of competing for the cup itself, no one is contesting with Bayern, which is wrong and unentertaining.
This post reminds me of the past, and unfortunately or maybe fortunately nothing has changed. Bayern still dominate the league. To be honest, fans are tired of this. There have been many ideas and attempts to make the league more exciting, but they all failed badly. Sometimes I wonder why people are still interested in this league. What if Bayern had to play against themselves in the Bundesliga? Maybe then they'd finally be in trouble. hahaha

^^ feel pretty bad for bangbros team and fans, virtually no sympathy of bcb/ Yunus's regime.
Bangladesh should have taken the ICC more seriously, but unfortunately there's been no positive response from the BCB or Younus regime. The reality is that this situation only hurts Bangladesh. The ICC appear far more calculated in their approach, and while Bangladesh stayed firm in their stance, Scotland stepped in immediately to take their place. If this continues, it's hard to see other cricketing nations being willing to cooperate with Bangladesh in future sporting alliances.

I can't imagine how hot the atmosphere in the Man City locker room was after losing that match. Pep must have been very emotional about his team's performance. The match against Galatasaray will surely see some improvements, but it also depends on how Pep gives instructions and the players follow them accordingly. Two losses that significantly lower the morale of both the players and the fans. Hopefully, they will perform better in the match against Wolves, a good game before facing Galatasaray.
Galatasaray wouldn't be a cheap game for Manchester City. The Outside Champions defeated Bodø/Glimt the last time they met in the Champions League. I know winning the Norwegian side is not a proof that City would be beaten also. But I affirm that if Pep don't work on his defence, they might end up not winning Galatasaray. City is now focusing its attention on the game with Wolverhampton on Saturday. The club is at risk of losing its chances of catching up with Arsenal if they fail to beat Rob Edwards' side in Etihad. Manchester City's loss to Bodø suggests that the effects of the defeat to Manchester United are still evident, following their setback coming just three days later in the Champions League stage. Of-course the biggest issue in this game was City's defense. They also badly missed Kevin De Bruyne's defense-splitting passes to Haaland. Also Pep's continued reliance on Rico Lewis feels questionable, and if this keeps going, it could come back to haunt him. If City don't fix these problems quickly, even teams like Wolverhampton will be lining up to take their share.

New Zealand tour of India
So today T20I series is starting and India and New Zealand will face each other in Nagpur. As we know New Zealand played really well in ODI series. And they won the series with 2-1. They are very confident so they will try to win this match too. India has home advantage. So they also have chances to win this match. But at this we can not say anything that who can win. And I think that this match will be very exciting. So let's see who will win.
After winning the toss, the Black Caps will bowl first. This New Zealand T20 side looks stronger than their ODI team, but the current Indian T20 squad is probably one of the most hard-hitting teams ever. Everyone in this lineup can clear the ropes and turn a game on its head. If even one batter gets set, he can take the match away from the opposition. Today India will bat first. Hopefully, Team India put on a strong performance and set a 200 plus total in the opener of the series.

I don't think that we should use Arsenal match to also conclude that Carrick is the messiah United have been looking for to revive the club because United use to be very strong when they clash with big teams. United performance with average clubs and small clubs with what we should use to judge Carrick. Like I said in my previous post, four upcoming matches can be used to evaluate Carrick performance on the team.
Manchester United often appears weak whenever they came across weak team but they played very strong when facing big teams. We can't judge hurriedly that Carrick is the expected Messiah just because Manchester United were victorious against Manchester city. This is exactly same hype Ruben amorim received when he begun coaching Manchester United. Arsenal might change that narrative about Michael Carrick when they beat Manchester United. Truly we have seen this before from Manchester United in recent times, that's why we have every right to be skeptical of the recent improvement under Micheal Carrick, but one thing I believe about Manchester United is that it's only an ex player that is now a coach that can help them and salvage the whole situation because he knows the club from start to finish, that is why ole gunnar solskjær was one of the best performing manager, among all managers that Manchester United have hired since the exit of sir Alex Ferguson. So in next couple of games, like next seven games, that's when we can be certain of Manchester United and what to expect from them, but as for now, we should lower our expectations because nothing is certain yet. Seeing Michael Carrick celebrate both goals against City showed real passion, and I loved it. He brings the kind of energy Old Trafford has been missing for long. As a managerial role, he showed great control of games for Manchester United. Now, as part of the coaching staff, his influence is pretty clear right now. Manchester United dominated and beat Manchester City 2–0 with a real masterclass performance. His football brain is working that's clear. Of course, it's just one win and the season is long, so nothing is certain. Still, thanks for beating City. It definitely helps Arsenal go seven points clear.

In my opinion, Senegal owes this victory to Mane. The Senegalese players and manager were angry about the penalty and didn’t look like they were going to continue the game, fortunately for them, Mane intervened and brought the players back into the field. Now, was the referee bias towards the host nation, I don’t know but it would have been a different headline if Senegal had refused to continue the match.
Yeah, Sadio Mane was able to play the role of shepherd and I bet you, it's the kind of respect one needs to get in a team so that when you speak the others would follow. It's no wonder he was given the Player of Tournament award because if you watched his performance throughout, he was always playing an instrumental role in each of them. Kudos to them for their valiant effort to get this far and win the trophy, for me they are truly deserving of it. Sadio Mane didn't just win AFCON but something bigger. He won the hearts of Senegal and all of Africa. The way he stood strong and inspired his teammates was incredible. In the final against Morocco, his calmness and maturity under pressure showed true leadership once again. That's why his legacy is bigger than just talent. It's about class, discipline, and a deep pride in his country.

--- Despite the three points, I'm disappointed with the result. In the game against the team from 14th place, Al Nasr was close to dropping points and this would have been the loss of points in the 5th game in a row. This is an unacceptable result if you're aiming for the title. In the next game, Al Nasr will play a team even lower (15th place, haha), but now I'm not at all confident of a positive outcome. I wonder if Al Hilal will ever experience a decline? 38 points out of 42 is a very high score, considering the competition.
Al-Nassr are back to winning ways, at least. They avoided four straight defeats following their win over Al-Shabab, so credit to them for that, even if it was a narrow escape. Still, it feels like they've already bottled the league. They could have made the title race tougher and more competitive for Al Hilal, but that chance seems gone now. With no signs of Al Hilal slowing down, it wouldn't be a surprise if Al-Nassr end up finishing the season without a trophy once again.

Snip
It has become a normal thing for us to see Madrid go goalless in the first half of the game and I never for ones in the first half saw anything special or anything new from Madrid, at some point I was banking on Levante to score first but the visitors too weren't that coordinated to get the ball on target or worry the goalkeeper. Madrid are good but they have something that's holding them back from showing their full potential and believe me when I say this, if Madrid are to play Barcelona in their next game you'd see them coming all out like they want to roast Barcelona, at this point the don't want the league leaders to beat them again. Real Madrid seems to have lost its identity in recent matches. Their first-half goal-scoring struggles remain unaddressed, even though they're facing a team climbing out of the relegation zone. I didn't see anything special from Real Madrid in the first half, there was no creativity and no intensity, each player played according to their own wishes, they also only had one shot on target, even though the team they were facing was very weak. I really appreciate Arbeloa's decision to make a very quick and correct substitution, Camavinga who underperformed and Gonzalo who looked confused throughout the first half were immediately replaced by Arda Guller and Mastantuono at the start of the second half. Real Madrid's game improved slightly after Arda Guler and Mastantuono played, and their attacks became more varied. This victory was crucial for Real Madrid to boost their players' mentality after their previous defeats to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup and Albacete in the CDR. But it was a fantastic performance in the second half, what we've been waiting for a while. Hopefully, even more powerful displays are on the way. The best part is that Real Madrid secured all three important points. This win not only protects their position in the table but also boosts the team's morale, especially at home. Real Madrid now sit second in La Liga, just one point behind Barcelona, and they should continue this attitude so remain a formidable challenge for any opponent, even after the last two defeats.

It was a goalless first half. Neither United nor City was able to break the deadlock all through the first half. United was able to score twice but both goals was ruled out by VAR for a potential offside. City was in possession of the first half and dominated it but they only got one shot on target.
On the other hand United attacked better than City amd created a few opportunities but they unable to convert it to a goal. The second half will be tensed, I expect a goal from any of them.
Manchester United was the better in the first half, they created more chances and made city sweat. City defense looks shaky and Pep has to do something about it in the second half. If not that both goals that Manchester United scored were offside, they would have been two goals ahead of Manchester city. I am not seeing that intensity in the city team, Foden is not just showing up today. If city continue like this in the second half, Manchester United is going to win the game for sure. What a first half in the Manchester derby! Unlucky for Manchester United to have both goals ruled out for offside. The possession stats tell a different story, and it's still hard to say who's on top in this game. A draw would be a decent result for United, though a win would be even better. Let's see how the second half unfolds.

Nottingham forest is in a terrible form. They wouldn't stand a chance against Arsenal because they are in a bad form. Nottingham forest were better last season and they qualified for the Europa. This season Nottingham forest are struggling not to be relegated, there form isn't consistent as they have lost terrible to other clubs, for that I am certain they would also lose to arsenal. Arsenal are close to winning the trophy, they would give theirs best to ensure victory against Nottingham forest.
Nottingham Forest won 1 of last 5 matches in Premier League and its terrible form for this season as team finish on the Europe League spot standings last season, facing Arsenal in this week is quite difficulty for winning the match behind Arsenal has consistent performance and want to keep first position standings more longer time. In this season, Nottingham Forest have fight out from relegation standings position for awhile has 7 points remaining with West Ham United, has an advantage after the third bottom bottom standings team perform badly and Nottingham Forest has many points gap from the relegation zone. Last match, Nottingham Forest eliminated from FA Cup 3rd round from the championship teams and its badly result for teams are participants at Europe League but seeing current standings in Premier League seems terrible perform. Arsenal have won four of their last six Premier League games against Nottingham Forest. I've same feelings like you, can't see Forest getting anything from this match. They can fight against top teams, no doubt about that, but there are very few reasons to expect anything other than a defeat here. That said, I'd still like to see a strong performance and then move on to the next game. Forest's real battle is staying clear of relegation, and keeping a safe distance from the red zone is what matters most.

The first BPL match on Thursday - between Chattogram Royals and Noakhali Express - has been delayed after both teams did not arrive at the venue for the toss, which was scheduled for 12.30 pm local time. The match was supposed to begin at 1pm local time.
Cricketers' Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) had threatened a boycott all forms of cricket - international, domestic, the BPL - unless Nazmul Islam, a BCB director, tendered his resignation. This followed disparaging comments Nazmul made against players. Nazmul, the board's finance committee chairman, had said that he believes national cricketers should be asked to return the "crores and crores of taka" that the BCB spends on them, also calling Former Bangladesh Captain Tamim Iqbal an "Indian Agent"
In detail, the BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) Nazmul Islam said not good words about the players due to which the players got angry and they directly said that stop cricket, this results in the postponement of the matches. Secondly, now all the players want Nazmul Islam to say sorry publicly and he wants to apologize privately but still the players stand on their point of view. Players are ready to continue the league if Nazmul Islam cooperates with them. Hence, today's game got postponed because all the teams players did not arrive at the venues and at the same time, if Nazmul Islam does not say sorry by tomorrow, then the boycott continues. This is a big trouble in the matches schedule. I fully support the BCB director, Nazmul Islam, for his decisive action; he has shown courage and spoken the truth. Considering the amount of money spent on Bangladeshi cricketers, Bangladeshi players have not achieved anything. The Bangladesh government has also given them many opportunities, but most players have not contributed much to the team. Even day by day, the quality of their playing is getting worse. So far, they have not been able to bring any international trophy to Bangladesh. He didn't say anything bad; he said the truth. The people of Bangladesh fully supported his statement. His words sparked controversy, and the response from the Cricketers Association was simple and justified. If CWAB stays silent, Nazmul Islam will likely continue doing this. This isn't the first time either. He has made similar controversial remarks in the past, even if indirectly. It honestly feels like his main agenda is to go viral or seek attention. Public statements like these damage players reputations. As a fan, I see no reason to support M. Nazmul Islam's comments about the players.

I noticed that the super eagles are not good when it comes to penalty shot out it was in the penalty that we got knocked out from the world cup qualifier by Dr congo, it's very bad they we got eliminated by the host country Morocco. The Morocco team played well and they deserve to win the super eagles, i also realize that we are not good when it comes to penalty shot out, our goal keeper Nwabali did his best we should also stop blaming Samuel chukueze for his penalty miss this is football one side will surely make a mistake for the other to move on.
It is important to understand that luck always plays a big role in penalty shootouts and the team whose players have stronger nerves will win. Nigeria played excellently throughout the tournament and, in fact, lost only to the hosts of this tournament and definately Marocco was one of the favorites. If Nigeria had faced any other team, it would most likely have beaten them, but it was unlucky to face the hosts. I agree that both teams were favorites to reach the final, but I'm not happy with Nigeria's performance. Managing only two shots in 120 minutes vs Morocco. The hosts reached their first final since 2004, with luck once again favoring them in a penalty shootout. Nigeria really should have spent more time working on penalties in training, but those who live by penalties often suffer by them. btw! I'm excited for the AFCON final. It's hosts Morocco against Senegal, and it promises to be a great match.

Albacete isn't just a lower division team, they're also one of the worst teams in the Segunda Division. It's still early 2026, and I never thought Real Madrid could pull off such a ridiculous prank. Despite just changing coaches, Real Madrid is one of the best clubs in the world, and how could they lose in the final minutes? This was a terrible start for Álvaro Arbeloa, losing to a team that isn't even in La Liga. Coincidentally, they lost 3-2, the same scoreline they lost to Barcelona. Despite the rotation in the lineup, Real played this match well, and they scored two goals. And I think that against a team of this level, that should have been enough for a win, but as Real has already shown this season, their poor defense sometimes lets them down, and that’s exactly what happened yesterday. I expected Real to be able to beat a second-division team even taking into account that they would play with a non main squad. But once again, they ruined my bet this season. Real Madrid didn't take the game seriously enough, and Albacete shocked everyone with a historic Copa del Rey win. With key players rested, Madrid went down 3–2, and the fans were left stunned. A painful result you and others, no doubt. It feels like the club needs a coach with a clear philosophy and a strong playing identity, someone who can command respect in the dressing room. Xabi Alonso seems like a perfect fit for that role. It hurts that things didn't go the way I hoped. At a club like Real Madrid, authority and trust in the coach have to come first.

Looks like this will be a close one. I thought the Kiwis would win this pretty comfortably, but it looks like it might go right down to the wire thanks to some great bowling by the Indians right at the start. Rana keeps impressing with his bowling though he still needs to reduce his immature crap.
Nitish is one heck of a lucky dude for getting so many chances across all formats. Kiwis are really missing Williamson etc.
Kiwis are doing pretty well against a seasoned Indian side. New Zealand can chase this target, but they need to build a solid partnership from here. Otherwise, India could wrap it up and make it 2–0 quite comfortably. Rana has picked up the opening wicket and is starting to prove his critics wrong. He's beginning to justify his selection and could turn out to be the x-factor in India's bowling attack.

Since Xabi Alonso’s appointment, I knew that the pressure he would get from Real Madrid would be more than he expected. I thought he would be able to overcome it, which was a bit hard for him. Even though we all know that Xabi Alonso tried his best for Real Madrid, that best was not enough. Real Madrid still have defaults in their defense. Although Bayer Leverkusen is not Real Madrid, Real Madrid was somehow too big for Xabi Alonso. If he is able to go to Liverpool after Slot, then I think he might be able to do something there because Xabi is better than Slot.
Even Xabi Alonso knows the pressure he was going to get before accepting the offer to become the coach of Real Madrid but the sudden decision he made by leaving the team when he couldn't take them to the position they expected is best for him. He was doing so great at Leverkusen and should have stayed with the team but his decision to coach the biggest team in the world comes with a bigger challenge but he couldn't take the club to their expected position. Bayer Leverkusen were doing well under him, then everything changed. No one can really turn down Real Madrid when that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes, but he ended up getting the boot barely halfway through the season. Fact is that Madrid were trying to get back to their best. Last season was messy, and they also had to accept that Barcelona have real talent, while Xabi was clearly building something special elsewhere. One thing is for sure, Real Madrid is not a club where you go to learn on the job. He was sitting on a ticking time bomb. Modern football moves fast, and there's rarely any warning.

Congratulations to Barcelona, I believe Real Madrid were at first confident in their chances especially as they were able to match up with Barcelona's performance at some point, but good a thing that now they saw better. This is not one of those lucky kind of game, Barcelona actually did deserved the victory, now they have a title to their name for the season already.
Yeah, Barcelona have won the 2026 Spanish Super Cup. With Raphinha back, you can bet on a straight Barcelona win. He always plays well against Real Madrid, which makes it easier for Barcelona to win. Without his goal-scoring ability, Barca won't win much. He's probably just as important as Yamal, or maybe even more. He's involved in almost every goal.
