1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PointPay: 15% APR on PXP Savings Account in PointPay Crypto Bank on: July 10, 2020, 08:19:36 AM
Dear PointPay community,

Now you will be receiving a receipt via e-mail containing operation details when buying or selling crypto through the PointPay Payment System using debit or credit card.

This feature has been implemented by a customer's request. Always pleased to receive your feedback!

Sincerely,

PointPay Team
 Smiley

It pleases my mind that your customer's requests are important for you not only in words but also in deeds... attention to detail is the key to success.

Yeah, i feel like a lot of ICO companies have a really sh*&ty customer support and dont really care in general, its diff with pointpay for sure. they always respond and try to help, hope that wont change

That's really awesome! I firmly believe if the company can solve customers' issues within an hour after the ticket is open, then such a customer will never leave your business. I reached out PointPay customer support a few times when experienced some difficulties, and they helped me out almost instantly! That's what I really like and that's why PointPay reviews are positive! And I believe guys if you make instant transactions within all your products as you promiss, you will be one of market leaders. One more request from my end: please update your token sale site, make it with day/night mode as well. You have already launched the payment system but the status is 'being developed', this is not true. It's already launched! And I would leave a few lines about PointPay Crypto School since this was the reason why I bough 2,000 PXP in order to get an access to premium videos. If you do what I wish, I will consider a chance to buy more. Wish you good luck and looking forward to implementing my wishes! Thanks

Things have been very silent lately, whats going on? any updates yet? when wallet release?

I do not follow the news, but I opened their website and found out that the wallet is already launched. Looks pretty good inside, but bth and eth are available to use only. Did anyone try an option of sending the funds via email?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEO] PointPay.io CRYPTO BANKING ECOSYSTEM (Round 1) on: September 13, 2019, 10:09:06 AM
Hope they release both wallet and exchange together.

If this is really so, this will be the first step to ecosystem development about which they also say to the community. What I mean is that they have single-time registration process. The customers could sign up on one of their products, buy the tokens and they would automatically sent to their addresses into PointPay wallet. No need to use MetaMask, MEW, etc. No need to use other services when you can easily swap from one page to another one and all the products will be just in one account - like Amazon has, for instance. It's just convenient.

And I would recommend them not to conduct an IEO, I would leave the opportunity to buy the tokens in the separate ICO page. It would be a real ecosystem them with a new approach.

I don't say it will bring more results but no one tried it yet. Just an idea.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEO] PointPay.io CRYPTO BANKING ECOSYSTEM (Round 1) on: August 10, 2019, 10:11:09 AM
Hmm.. I see that VinDAX turned out to be a scam with fake volumes and fake client base. If I were with PointPay, I would recommend them to pay attention to the strategy that usually exchanges use when they want to raise some money. First you launch the exchange itself, then you attracts traders to your platform providing them zero fees for trading. Then you announces a token sale of exchange coin/token that will in high demand thanks to its utility nature: users will be able to get discounts paying with this token. That's how, for example, Binance and EXMO did. Wise strategy.

Moreover, I see that PointPay is launching their own exchange in a few months, that is why I don't see any reason for them to enter the IEO depending on third party platform - it's better to invest the funds in liquidity of your own platform rather than in IEO campaign.

This is logic, isn't it?

Private round has ended and the first day of the actual sale has started! Very excited PointPay! All the best in the upcoming months! Any marketing currently in progress?

Where did you got this information, the last thing i red was that they are switching to private sale because of the " high" demand.

This is a large and ambitious project, this is why I am supporting them.

I will take part in the token sale only if they conduct an IEO with a steep discount to investors.

I haven't seen any wallet that would support top-10 cryptos at the same time, especially mobile versions. My Ledger wallet supported 5 cryptos simultaneously, Coinomi - about 7 or 8 (no XRP, Stellar and EOS). Bitcoin Core - for BTC only, MEW - for ether and ERC-20 tokens, no other altcoins.

Atomic wallet supports all top-10 coins, including XRP, Stellar, EOS. Bitpie also supports a large number of coins and especially a lot of tokens on ETH, TRX, EOS.

Agree with you. I used Atomic wallet once but found it inconvenient and user-unfirendly, especially in the part on copying addresses of the wallets. It's also loading too slow when scrolling down to observe other wallets available. Maybe it's due to my PC poor capacity. Haven't you face the same issues?

There are a lot of projects out there which has the same concept or blueprint: crypto banking, wallets and crypto exchange, so what is your edge against them and how unique is pointpay?

I see you are working on development of crypto wallet with SPV technology. That's awesome! But I wonder if you are going to make a wallet back-up function for the web version. That really concerns me as a few days ago I lost an access to my Ledger Nano S wallet due to a firware update trouble.
Hardware wallets gained a poor reputation from my side after such an issue happened.

Anyone who use mobile wallets?
I think it is very dangerous.

not really. I'm currently using Coolwallet, a hardware wallet which provides a 2 factor auth. So the only time your funds are at risk is if, they have your phone, and they have the card itself + your fingerprint. Comparing that to other desktop wallets which I find more dangerous. Even one of the upcoming projects partnered with them to make their own hardware wallet in where the users can store their digital collectibles together with other major coins. Though mobile wallets are still okay, Trust and Eidoo are good.

I've been using hardware Ledger Nano S wallet for 2 years. Used to think it's the most convenient and secure wallet in the cryptocurrency market now (24-word seed phrase for a back-up, for instance, and keeping a private key in the encrypted part of the wallet) since they obtained a Certification de SÚcuritÚ de Premier Niveau (First Level Security Certificate), until I decided to update the version of the firmware from 1.3.1 to 1.8.0 in order to use more than 5 currencies simultaneously (I'm an active trader). The updation process is stuck. I can't use my wallet anymore. It turned out to be a common issue. The Ledger team could at least leave a warning note about this challenge in the account of a desktop version in order to avoid this difficulty in the future. As far as I understand, it's not workable anymore, as those ways undertaken to tackle the issue (based on their advice and users' help) completely failed.

Now, I have to use a Coinomi wallet, since they support BIP32 layout for 24-word seed phrase for the recovery. It's inconvenient and doesn't have a user-friendly interface for customers though.

I would like to continue using my Ledger wallet, but I'm not ready to give them another $100-150. It's a disaster.

Totally devastated.  Sad

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB overtake ETH? POLL on: May 27, 2019, 12:02:37 PM
And what's the point of comparing their bnb and air, these are different things, bnb growth at a time when everything was falling, as it made it possible to trade and make a profit, now it can be spent on correction
That's happening due to the current difference of nature of the whole crypto market and BNB in particular. Let's say BNB has its own token economy system tied to IEO feature that can make the coin grow when everything is falling down during the bearish trend.
Today I have received an e-mail from Binance. They will make a snapshot of BNB coins that traders have in order to take part in the Harmony IEO. Once the snapshot is made, the BNB price will go down immediately. That's how it was in the previous IEOs on Binance. So, it's time to close short position orders if you have any for BNB.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP rises quickly! on: May 25, 2019, 05:36:54 PM
What is the main cause that makes XRP prices rise significantly to reach the price of $ 0.41. Or indeed this is the impact of changes in the conditions of crypto market capitalization in the last few days. Give your opinion here about XRP and the latest news. Thank you all.
Most of the growth i have observed with XRP have been the case with the general market growth. This gives me the doubt if XRP still has something special to offer.
I am yet to see anything significant about their last updates. Well, perhaps in the course of time, they might come up with another hype that can raise the price, because it is back to $0.39 again and i saw something below that some days ago.
This is the reason why most people here don't really like XRP, and the coin itself is also really shady, the developers can just add coins to the supply without informing the investors.

That's true. Moreover, in order to create and use a Ripple wallet address, you are to have at least 20 coins in your account being reserved forever.  Undecided
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook will issue "GlobalCoin" before 2020 - What do you think about this? on: May 25, 2019, 05:30:43 PM
What do you think about this. Let's discuss the future of Facebook coin and social disturbance

What is crystal clear right now is that Facebook coin won't be a financial instrument for speculations in the cryptocurrency market since they are emitting a stable coin for internal payments to their social network.

Concerning the mass adoption (what is expected by the bearish market traders), I don't believe it will be a cryptocurrency in conventional understanding of its word (like bitcoin or ether).

The time will show anyway.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about this "industry" on: May 24, 2019, 12:02:59 PM
- exchanges that don't give a fuck and are not even hiding blatant wash trading, tape painting and spoofing.

- pump and dump groups with thousands of members on telegram dedicated to inflate the value of the coins of their choice and then dump their bags on poor bag holders who fund their gains before they run the thing to the ground.

- hackers who hack websites, wallets, exchanges, smart contracts

- scammers of all kind

- exchanges that will randomly confiscate your money and then you wait for months for customer support response, criminals

- 99% of icos are blatant cash grabs with no useful product or working prototype whatsoever and they are going to fail.

- miners that waste incredible amount of energy to mine mostly worthless funbux, ruin gpu market and occasionally enjoy cheap, even subsidized electricity while providing pitiful amount of new jobs.

- Crypto investors (speculators) who heavily shill their coins and fight with each other like a bunch of retarded children over whose funbuck is the god and which is worthless trash.

- "captains of the industry" who think they're next Edisons or Nikola Tesla while in fact they're making overpriced pogo sticks at best. Smiley

Hard, but it is, and do not forget that this is a crypto, a new decentralized world.

Hard to say it's really decentralized. When people speak about decentralization, they ussually omit the most important word regarding this notion: level of decentralization. Is bitcoin fully decentralized? Hardly! 80% of mining capacities are centralized in China. Just one country collected 4/5 of all ASICs. Once mining is banned in China, a huge collapse can happen with pending transactions hanging in the memory pool.
So, be very accurate and careful when you speak about (de)centralized systems.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time for investment? on: May 24, 2019, 11:15:29 AM
Good afternoon everyone, I want to greet everyone here. April is almost over, do you still have plans to invest in cryptocurrency in Quartal 2? What coins are suitable for investing? I want to hear your opinion, and I will make it a reference. Thank you very much for your attention.

if you bought some bitcoin and ethereum when you create this thread i think now you already make some profit in your investments my friend
but, nothing too late in crypto investments, for now you can buy both crypto before the next waves coming  Wink

A golden rule of investment by Warren Buffett: buy when everyone else is selling.

That was relevant when BTC price was about $3600. Anyway, I don't think it's too late to start investing right now. BTC price has all chances to grow up to $10,000 when it dropped down to 7300 after reaching $ 8200 the previous week. Do not forget to put stop-losses anyway. That's the common sense.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best IEOs and IEO bounties on: May 24, 2019, 10:56:05 AM
Hi all, what do you think are some of the best IEOs coming up and are there any good IEO bounties? Not a bounty but I did make a nice $60 on trias airdrop
I have not come across any IEO bounty before may be in the future the team may decide to promote they coins through bounty program but the one's we have around have not run any signature campaign or bounty and have been successful it all depends on the team behind it.

No offence but if you haven't come across any IEO bounties then you are not looking hard enough, I have already calculated the estimated bounty rewards for half a dozen current IEO bounties. The reality is there are many IEO bounties at the moment, although many are based on much lesser known exchanges like LAToken and EOSex, rather than large exchanges like Binance and Kucoin. More relevantly, the bounty allocation values are generally the same as ICOs if not higher, even with increased number of participants. DYOR.

I doubt that there's some sense to conduct a bounty campaign for IEOs on large exchanges like Binance or KuCoin that are pretty well-known to everyone in the crypto community. It's quite enough to publish the announcement just on the front-page to close the first, second or even the third round in a few seconds. Hence, such bounties are likely intended for projects conducting IEOs on smaller exchanges; you mentined them above.

By the way, if you are looking for best IEOs, CZ hints...  Wink

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs. BNB on: May 24, 2019, 10:31:25 AM
Both of the coins have a long history and have a huge potential for further development in the cryptocurrency market. Nevertheless, I have voted for BNB, and there're a few reasons for this.

Firstly, the BNB coin now acts like BTC on Binance with a limited sphere of influence. Whatever you do on Binance - trading, participating in IEO, inviting referrals - everything is tied to BNB, which is the token of the largest exchange. BNB is second to none when it comes to debating and comparison of BNB/BTC/ETH . BNB's token economy was well developed and is proped by ICO model crash in 2018 which is related, first and foremost, to ETH and its smart-contracts technology. ICO, as a phenomenon, has gone away almost completely.

Secondly, the trend of token/coin offerings currently belongs to big-boy-exchanges like Binance rather than to smart-contract platforms that lost investors' trust.

And, finally, BNB used to be a brainchild of Ethereum platform, now - it has its native blockchain.

BNB has become a store of value, an instrument of investments alike to equities in the stock market.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: May 23, 2019, 05:54:00 PM
The moderators already have work on the hands and to add the verification of new projects before their are introduced into the community will be an extra job for them and may not have the time to do the moderating job the are scheduled to handle.
So, if I understood you right, you mean the due diligence term that is ususally referred to the projects conducting IEO on some exchange. Bounty due diligence? Sounds great!
I think the bounty managers should have that responsibility of searching out a project either it is legit or fake before bringing it to the forum.

It's likely bounty hunters who are to search out if the project is legit or not, and conduct their own research. Bounty managers are just managers, no more.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survive on: September 20, 2018, 04:51:02 PM
Market is changing and so mobile and from my opinion it will be easier for you to be with the participants of that kind of market. Good specialist in crypto must be educated in all its sides because it could be used by you without any outside experts or not convincing information.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is ETH now? on: September 20, 2018, 04:48:35 PM
ETH goes up as experts are sure but I have some doubts about this alt coin. This one has lost my trusting to it and I am confused with its future that could not be predicted in the right way. I believe in this coin but I am ready for the worst possible situation as well.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling! Yes or No? on: September 20, 2018, 04:46:35 PM
Why it could be 'yes' if it is absolutely wrong decision? Panic brings to losses and it is not your aim in crypto's work I think. Try to avoid these feelings and the result will be more profitable and stable than it could be with panic. Save your body and money.
