PM's sent for Swedish, Turkish and Hungarian. 2 individuals have offered to handle the Turkish translation, so we will go with the most qualified.
Thank you all!
I didn't get the PM. Are there some restrictions in place for when you're able to send/receive PMs? Anyway, you can contact me through Skype as well if you'd like: kristoffer.westermark No restrictions, I guess Elambert missed it. I'll ask him what's up. Sorry about that... -Merc

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][CGB] Cryptogenic Bullion Marketing Campaign Update (CCN)

Greetings!
Quick update, our Facebook page is about to hit 6300 likes. And we continue to see nice clicks/impressions from our Google Adwords campaign. Our Yahoo/Bing ad campaign is slow but progressing. I'll give a more detailed update later this week with screen shots, etc. Our overall monthly marketing budget now exceeds $2000.
In the meantime, I just want to explicitly say there is no congratulating going on at CB. In fact, we feel the pressure rising to deliver and justify the price rise. In the past week alone we have seen a few 'toy' coins sprout up and get accepted by scam exchanges (of the Chinese variety) represented by shady and avatar-only personalities. I guess I now truly understand some of the frustration industry leaders like Coblee, SunnyKing, and Balthazar feel when seeing all these altcoins emerge out of nowhere. Only continued marketing and development efforts will prove a coin's true worth. Although the pressure rises, we accept the challenge. We will not fail.

Guys,
Please forgive me for not working on vanity address and forum. I want to concentrate all my resources on our major projects we have scheduled for release in the next two months. I'd like to get them released and then work on the forum/vanity address generator afterwards, to support the resulting interest from the new project releases. The quicker I can get these projects released then the quicker we justify the price rise, which is important to me.
-Merc
I'm sure you have prioritised the projects. Naturally, you need more people with programming talent, because there is too much to do. I would suggest a specialist forum is the best way to go for that. When there is a Coin Forum, it somehow serves as a much better organiser and motivator than BTCtalk...that is to say, you will find people willing to take on responsibilty, moderation and organisation. That is why I would humbly suggest Forum as a priority. You make a good point. But there's more to my decision to holding off on a forum for now. And that's because it requires considerable time and effort to monitor forum activity so to maintain a high level of professionalism. Thus, we're first going to make sure we have gathered trustworthy supporters with the right time availability to moderate the forum. Only then will I feel comfortable with announcing an official CB forum. In the meantime, I appreciate your patience and understanding. -Merc

I have my suspicions I think the Chinese pool op is behind it........ We are looking into DDoS protected VPS for pool.cryptobuck.com.
I pointed the name server back at the pool today and I was taken down within minutes.
Yeah, CryptoBuck (BUK), CosmoCoin (CMC), and the Chinese exchange that accepted BUK the day after its release btcltc.com are probably all the same group of people. It's kind of obvious, IMHO. I could be wrong and of course I have no proof, it's just a hunch. And if I'm wrong I'll apologize, but it's very shady behavior. But it goes to show, if you want to invest in a coin run by a newb avatar on a forum, then don't be surprised if you get screwed in the end and there's no one to be held accountable. -Merc

Running smooth between 100-150Mh today - reaching peaks of 250-300Mh - currently Hashing block 1335
How??? Pools have been down since virtually the coin launch, the only pool that is up is the chinese pool and it only reporting 41 M/hs network hashrate? On the odd occasion that I've managed to access the official pool (via the mobile/cell site, which surprised me that you had set up a mobile site) there is only 1 miner there, even the devs have flicked the official pool... Smells to me. Are the pool sites deliberately disabled to enable some low difficulty mining by the devs? Yep.

Our attention is on more pressing development matters of the blockchain at the moment. At this point, with the rise in market cap value, we have an intense pressure to deliver on project announcements. I suspect that producing actual innovation to the blockchain will be more marketable and inspire much more confidence than a pretty website. But in time, the website will get a complete face-lift, so to keep things fresh. On another note, CB's Facebook page hit 5400 likes. And we've seen a nice spike in likes the past couple days, which I assume is related to the price spike in CB. Our marketing slogan, "Multiply the value of your bitcoins with CB", which can be seen at the top of CCN http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/ is proving to be truth as both CB and BTC have simultaneously risen in value. We're obviously doing something right. I want to support our supporters and the only way I know how to do that is to code and develop and try to push the envelope and set the standard in open source altcoin innovation. And funny enough, this is what I like about CGB, but dislike about MEC. You're complete mirror images. One has the pornstar visuals, the other the interesting personality. In the end, you give me more confidence than MEC thanks to just that. First impressions do count though, but I trust that you'll put on some makeup eventually. Yes, there will be makeup. But it won't matter how we try to pucker ourselves up if we don't deliver. The next couple months are very crucial. I appreciate the support. I will try my utmost to not let the CB community down. -Merc

I really think the website could use some work. It just doesn't look professional to me. I like the idea behind CGB, but for marketing purposes (which you yourself have said are important and you will spend a lot of time on) you should really improve your graphical image and presentation. MEC is a really good role model when it comes to both the design of the website and the qt client in my opinion. http://www.megacoin.co.nzIt inspires confidence. Guys, I'll have the forum up and running soon. I just need to skin it and give it some CB personality.
Nice one Merc, looking forward to signing up and being in a more orderly environment Yeah, no kidding. Now if I can only get some free time to finish it... lol Too many CB projects going on at once. No hurry Merc, just take your time, take a breather, no rush. Slow and steady is our motto. More haste = less speed. Thanks, brother. I needed that. Anytime, now get yourself away from that screen for a break! Ha! Not possible! Way too much to do and not enough time.
