As you all know, we are almost on the verge of launching the Testnet with support of sharding technology. Draft of the Sharding has already been completed. Within a couple of weeks, I will define the optimal parameters for starting sharding in the testnet, test the operation of dapps and prepare instructions for launch of Sharding. But this is not the main thing. The main news is that with the launch of sharding, I will integrate Oracles. Oracles are third-party services that provide to smart-contracts, communication abilities with external sources of information, they are, act as a bridge between blockchains and the outside world. Now, Oracles, for example, in Ethereum, are a separate blockchains. And I will integrate them into TERA as a process built-in mining. Another good news is that the integration of Oracles will not affect the launch schedule of the Testnet. The Tera Bulletin #1 Jan-2020 Hello dear community! With pleasure we want to say Happy New Year to all of you and introduce The Tera Bulletin where we would like to share with you the recent Tera developments, achievements, short-term and long-term plans and goals. Recent News: • Thanks to our member (:heart: @daytona) for help in preparing the awesome video ( https://youtu.be/e4ptiQAagHM) about blockchain and Tera technology behind. • Our team member from Turkey is sharing the second place for creating another awesome video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZa0FFTSSds). Thanks! Current Development Activities and Plans: • The team will review and revise the 2019 roadmap, develop and publish 2020 top-level roadmap • The team will create and maintain :star2: Tera Medium page, and will be publishing the important news and articles about Tera • The team is working hard on the :star2: New Core of Tera, this is Core 2.0, fully compatible with 1.0, called Jinn, with the breakthrough innovative sync mechanics inside. • Jinn Core is ready and move into production is scheduled for Jan-20 with excessive testing in Feb-20 and roll-over to the mainnet as soon as all tests done. • Next step is :rocket: Jinn Sharding Engine, this will be the heart of Tera blockchain and basis for the very quick smart-contract platform. Of course this requires much more time and testing, but it's definitely the next and important milestone after Jinn Core. Out of this project, for now, got 600 DNA waited for the validation of the whole week and have sync it daily so that when the times comes for validation I only have few blocks to sync, but today after upgrading my nodes not getting any peers, I missed the validation now and until now it's not syncing although I have a good connection, this is one issue that should be addressed if devs wants to see positive reviews and movement of adoption.
I also updated to 0.16.2 but I did not miss the verification! You only need to replace it with 0.16.2, and the synchronization will be completed quickly! |
