What if you're wrong?
Care to elaborate just a bit? Your scare tactics might work on school children but grown ups like some actual evidence. I'm not trying to use scare tactics. To elaborate: The majority of evidence suggests that it's happening. There is also a small amount of evidence suggesting it's not. But, even if the majority is wrong, I don't see many downsides to trying to combat it anyway.

My problem is that Obama claims the "science is settled" on global warming when it clearly is not. I dont think there is any conclusive evidence humans are causing "climate change" and that we are not just in a cyclical "warm period"
I don't agree that it's settled, but the general consensus seems to be that it is happening. I have access to a couple of decent journals re: climate change, and although I don't understand all the details, nearly all papers that I've read seem to back the theory. Even without 100% conclusive evidence, I don't see many drawbacks to just assuming that we are causing climate change, and trying to switch to renewable and nuclear energy.

I get that some of the climate change data is a little sketchy, for instance using flawed models etc. I myself have been on the fence for years re: climate change, and whether we're causing it.
Although I don't fully believe in it, the majority of respected science journals (ie. Science, Nature etc.)have published a lot of evidence that suggests it could be happening.
So it makes sense for me to go with the assumption. I've heard that whole "green tax" angle. I don't buy it, simply because it is currently a lot more lucrative to use fossil fuels, rather than more expensive renewable energy resources. Maybe in the future, if fossil fuels do become scarce, we will need to switch to nuclear and renewable energy.

Avoid any sort of executable files/zip archives etc. and you should be OK. Also avoid pdfs.
One thing I would be wary of are dodgy ads/popups and Java stuff on the actual torrent site itself, basically just don't click anything and have adblock plus installed.
If you have a wallet file on the computer however, I would move it to an offline computer to be safe. I personally use paper wallets, with a small amount in a blockchain.info hot wallet with 2FA. Can't be taking any chances!

Ah yes, the Supermoon is at least 6 inches taller than the regular moon, rides a flying motorcycle, and carries a jar of marmalade which we believe forces you to commit adultery.

Looks awesome, but I've never seen such a powerful laser, are you sure it's really 50,000mW (50W)? I suspect it's actually 5,000mW (5W), as most videos/writeups I've seen talk about the most powerful handheld lasers being 5-10W. Please could you double-check the power rating? I'm still interested, watching this thread.

I love these cats, been looking at getting one myself but unfortunately I'm in the UK. I'm a cat person and the Mrs is more of a dog person, we agreed that a Savannah would be an awesome compromise. Good luck with your mission, sent you a small donation.

Well that was fun, well done to everyone that solved stuff and of course congrats to the winner! Although I didn't really solve anything, I was very close at the end and learnt a lot - I'll be looking out for more puzzles like this (might even make one myself, gonna need to find something else to do with my spare time now anyway ) Thanks for a devilish puzzle OP!

Yeah this is doing my head in, been trying a lot of character shift stuff with no luck... I noticed that there are the same number of letters in "z69JZqlJn862D1ndx7oLVEMmVOlP1zewEeUCrsI7Roahzpeny7P" as there are numbers in the downward column in Wow.jpg (41 characters). So I've been shifting the letters up/down by the corresponding number in the downward column, as per "0=0 A=10 BABYA=36". eg, the first one I tried was a downshift (the final countdown?), so "z" shifts down 2 characters and becomes "1", J shifts down 7 chars and becomes "Q" etc: z69JZqlJn862D1ndx7oLVEMmVOlP1zewEeUCrsI7Roahzpeny7P (original) z--JZqlJn---D-ndx-oLVEMmVOlP-zewEeUCrSI-Roahzpeny-P (characters 0-9 removed) 2--791357---9-135-7913579135-7913579135-791357902-4 (corresponding numbers in downward column)
169QiroOu862M1og27vuWHRtePoU17nxHjbLsVN7Yxbk3wnn17T (letters shifted downwards by corresponding number, original characters 0-9 replaced)
I couldn't get anywhere with this, tried various hashing and private key generation tools. I might be barking up the wrong tree here, but I like how this approach incorporates all 3 clues (the 0=0/A=10/a=36 code, plus the header and the column from Wow.jpg).

Is there any news from Mastercard re: Xapo?? I pre-ordered a card myself, but the last I heard was Mastercard denied having anything to do with Xapo. It's such a great idea, hope it's legit... [tinfoilhat] ...and not some honey-trap arranged by western government to reap bitcoin owners' real life addresses... [/tinfoilhat] edit: got an email too

So how did we extract 2.7z exactly and who did it and how?
No-one has yet to my knowledge, there was a QR code hidden in elements.jpg leading to again.7z, another archive. I'm guessing the password for 2.7z will be found through these new clues.

I checked the EXIF data for elements.jpg, couldn't find anything related to the QR code. Where did it come from?
arg is correct. using the exiftool command line: exiftool -b -PhotoshopThumbnail Elements.jpg > Elements.psthumb.jpg Presumably you can do something similar if you have photoshop. Cheers got it, didn't need to use command line, it comes up as the thumbnail in photoshop elements!
