Maintenance
The pool site is currently in maintenance mode.

Mining is NOT affected
(It runs on completely different servers)

Interesting, so this means we get SW signalling now?

The income is beginning to fall: \
Is there any way around this?

Welcome to mining!

Always a race to the bottom.

The S9/T9 are not as heat resistant as the S7s were. In my opinion they are pretty sensitive to the heat as they have to run the chips so hot by default.

Thanks for the info.  That is what I was afraid of.  Still curious what ambient temps people have tried/succeeded with!  Those farms in china run hot with just outside air and seem to be ok!

1200W on ONE 1600W PSU is just somewhat scary.  You need a 20A circuit and the wires still get hot.

I settled on 2x PSU, one 1300W one 800W and I'm not as worried about melting down a PSU!

Wow 13TH for less than 0.5BTC now from Bitmain.  I might actually swap out my S7s for S9s.

But its summer, and my S7s can survive my 110F garage just fine when running 4.5TH (Batch 1/2, so higher chip count).

How are S9s with high ambient temps?  Can they be slightly underclocked to compensate?

Thanks for any info.

Thanks Gun, fair enough.  I had planned to thank you for the account, and tip appropriately.  I fucked up by not changing that password for ages, that is totally on me, and despite it being a simple BTCTalk account, I had underestimated the amount of fuckery that could be involved in a simple hack.

I lost ~100BTC to Avalon, 13 BTC to Gox, it's just the trend.  Gun you have my personal email via PM, or you can PM me the password.   I do wish to resolve this in a manner where everyone ends up as satisfied as possible.

What do you mean exactly by this, what deal did you make with Gunthar again?

So this deal - Gunthar obviously thought I was lying, and made two pretty extreme requests for poof and said he would "recover my account back to (me) if I dont want to repay the loan"- and I provided back the exact proof he requested.

According to his own terms, I should get the account back. Anything else is disingenuous.  I did not take out a loan.  I posted here as soon as I discovered this.  I met his terms, and now the account is hostage.

Hey!
The easiest way to get your account back would be repaying 0.108 BTC your account got from me as a loan.

If you are really the owner of that account and you got hacked, i have a couple of ways to recover it back to you, if you dont want to repay the loan:

- a signed message from this address 1Fg2nvpXEZUykTCEBTS9b19k2RaMMz2U9z
stacked in a trade you had with Golio

- All shipping papers (UPS receipt, pictures etc) of stuff you sent some days ago to Blazed.

Have a wonderful day!
~Gun

I do have a lot of communications/pictures/tracking info/etc on the stuff I sent a YEAR AGO to Blazed, I can provide that.

ok, Blazed helped me to verify that jermwerty2 is indeed the real owner of jermwerty. First issued solved! Thanks Blazed!

Next:
Your account took a loan from me mate, what about it?

Looks like he is gone Gun. silence speak louder than words. "hacked" attempt failed.

No this is what the problem with Bitcoin is now.

I started back years ago with GPUs.  Mining for the fun of it.  Lost a few coins in gox, but only a small percentage. Used bitcoin as a currency, for fun, and never had an issue until recently.

I don't really keep up with the day to day bitcointalk news.  How many times has this forum been hacked?

So now I finally think I do my due diligence and let the community know what happened, what I thought was an upstanding citizen uses the words "if you prove it, you get your account back" but then just strings it on.

Gunthar, you are essentially a bank.  You made a bad loan.  This will just serve as another reminder how shitty this scene has become.  Sorry my account got hacked.  I could easily pay you BTC, but whats the point?  This place is toxic, and Gun and I both know I wouldn't have jumped through his hoops if the deal wasn't real.

Yes please, the UPS receipt with tracking number you sent stuff to Blazed. Upload it somewhere and send me the link in PM, that would solve at least the ownership of your account.
~Gun

EDIT - found the info, uploaded it and provided link to Gun in PM.  Stuff that was only stored on my phone, so no exposure.  I haven't had any other accounts compromised that I have discovered, and all use different passwords.

I do feel really bad about all this.  Seems like the forum should have a big red flag "USER HAS CHANGED PASSWORD AND EMAIL WITHIN THE LAST 4 HOURS" or something.  I caught this as quick as I could, literally first thing I check in the AM is my email...

STRONG SUGGESTION: your password sucks dude....and if it was bonded to your emails, ebay, facebook etc, it really sucks more (and all those methods to verify you are instantly not acceptable)

Have a wonderful day!

Hey now I'm all up for reasonable, but I'm many wallets away from 2013 so that 1Fg2nvp address is long gone.  I don't believe much in address re-use.

I do have a lot of communications/pictures/tracking info/etc on the stuff I sent a YEAR AGO to Blazed, I can provide that.

Gun -

So you traded with my account that I now realize was just reset on password a few hours earlier and email changed?  Ugh.  For the record I've only posted for a loan 1x in my entire bitcoin history, and it was back for an Avalon Original Batch 3 box for 100BTC.  Boy that worked out poorly  Sad

Just let me know what kind of "proof" you want, since you have control over the account I'm sure you can find something.  Also, I use the same username on heatware and eBay, so you can always verify through those means, pretty unique username!

Thanks for any help,

The real JermWerty
