1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: INNOSILICON A4 DOMINATOR SETUP GUIDE ---REVAMPED on: November 15, 2016, 09:27:53 AM
How about the links to Dominator's firmware?

This is the link they sent me to be able to download the .iso file. They suggested using Win32 Disk Imager to reflash the SD card, it does split it up into 3 partitions. As far I can tell, a boot partition in Fat32, an EXT4 for main filesystem, and then a swap partition.

hey sorry for the none sense posts in this post I made I thought you were looking to sell them more then any thing . i have been directing others to the A4 post here that wanted help, i noticed you were really looking to see it others had them.  nice A4 set up guide, i read it a few hours ago.
That's alright, although I'm willing to sell some of mine, I am chiefly concerned with the very, VERY little information on the internet about these A4's. Most everything I have learned has been within the last week after getting them in.

I posted a short setup guide for all who purchase one, whether through me or someone else here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1680082.0

I am going to try to finish the more extensive version tomorrow for you guys.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / INNOSILICON A4 DOMINATOR SETUP GUIDE ---REVAMPED on: November 14, 2016, 07:23:27 AM
This is the Guide I wish I'd gotten from Innosilicon, rather than the pitiful excuse for one written in a broken, hard to understand, and not even close to detailed version they sent me. I am also making a more extensive version complete with pictures and screenshots. Hopefully, ill finish it up tomorrow sometime and will freely share it, although i think it will have to be a google drive link.

SOFTWARE SETUP GUIDE FOR INNOSILICON'S A4 DOMINATOR

STEP 1: Go to your favorite browser on your computer, laptop or phone. Type into the address bar at the top the IP address for the miner, the default address is “192.168.1.254” then press enter. NOTE: Your computer must be connected to your home network via WiFi or Ethernet cable.

STEP 2: The page initially loads in Chinese. So, in the top right corner change the language to English. Unless you are cultured and can read Chinese.....sadly I am not such a man.

STEP 3: (Optional) you can change the IP address by typing in the new one in IP address box and then clicking the set button to the right. Allow 15-20 seconds for it to complete this operation and reconnect to the network. After that, type in the new address and hit enter. NOTE: This can be useful if you intend to set up multiple mining units. Otherwise, they won’t know which one is which and the network will reject them. So, if you purchase multiple units, you will need to connect them one at a time, change the IP address, verify it has accepted the new IP assignment, and then connect the second one. Repeat as necessary for all units.
EXAMPLE: I have all of mine assigned 201-205 (see below) for each of my 5 mining rigs I have setup currently.
Number 1 = 192.168.1.201
Number 2 = 192.168.1.202
Number 3 = 192.168.1.203
Number 4 = 192.168.1.204
Number 5 = 192.168.1.205
This allows me to easily manage them and keep track of their IP addresses. I also found it helpful to attach a sticky note with their respective IP address on it. This way, I can easily track their performance and diagnose any problems quickly.

STEP 5: You will need to choose a mining pool. If you want to know more about mining pools, checkout this link here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining_pool. If you don’t want to use a pool you can also setup your own, but it’s very complicated. This is called solo-mining and is not covered here but see additional resources below.
NOTE: I use a couple of them for redundancy purposes so that if the server for the pool I am using goes down then it will automatically switch over to the 2nd or 3rd. This way I can continue to make money and my miners aren’t sitting there idle waiting for someone who may never come back online.
I don’t recommend any mining pool above another, however one that I currently use is litecoinpool.org and I will be using theirs for example purposes.
A.   Once you have selected a mining pool you will need to create an account.
B.   Next you will need to create a worker. This is what will allow you to connect to the pool’s server to assign work for your specific miner to work on.
C.   Pro-Tip: name the worker the same as the last segment of your IP address “worker.201” or give them whimsical names “worker.lukeskywalker”. Then write this information on the sticky note under the IP address so you can keep track of their names.
D.   You can usually create as many workers as you want or use one worker for all your miners. I suggest, however creating one worker for each miner. This way you can track each of their metrics separately. I give each one of mine gold stars on their sticky note when they find a block. (I do fun things because I work from home and it keeps me sane…. or maybe I’m insane. Who knows?)
E.   You will also have to create a password for the worker. Make it simple, like “1234” something. It doesn’t really matter as, at the very worst, a person will use your worker to mine Litecoins for you, which would actually be a great thing, since you are the one that gets paid.

STEP 6: Now you will need to set your miners to begin working. Locate your mining pool’s Stratum server address. As I said earlier each mining pool is different but they should have this information readily available on their website and paste it into your miner’s configuration page that is reached when you type in the IP address in your browser. Stratum server address should look like this stratum+tcp://us.litecoinpool.org:3333. Your address may look slightly different. Then type in your worker name in the login box "worker.201" and then type in the password. Next click on the "CONFIRM" button and the miner goes to work.

PRO-TIP: Sometimes you will see the worker slow down for a little bit, I've figured out that this is because the control unit will sometimes shut down one of the blades if the temps have gotten too hot. However, as soon as it cools back down within limits it will turn it back on. So cooling is key. Best Practice, good ventilation.

where i live power is an obscenely low price, 0.079 cents per Watt hour.

Low but not obscenely low. When I was in Iowa I was paying a bit less than that 9 months out of the year, 14ish the other 3 summer months, and I moved 1800ish miles cross-country because I classed the overall power rate as too high - I'm under 5c/kwh now and looking to move in the next few months to one of the adjacent counties where I can get under 3c

Even now my power bill runs about $400/month - but that's a lot more than a few A4 units mining away (you're making more in LTC than I am, but I'm making a LOT more in other coins and overall).

WOW!!! that is low. I am tennessee where we have TVA and their hydroelectric power generations. it's by far way cheaper than any of the other nearby areas here on the east coast. in atlanta its like 14 to 17 cents during peak power times. and 12 off peak hours. but the main advantage to chattanooga, TN is that we have gigabit internet to all the residential houses over fiber optic, only 70bucks a month. and for 200/month you can get 10gb/s internet. since i do online day trading as my primary source of income this is awesome speeds. fastest in the US and as far as i can tell about 3rd fastest in the world. blows my mind. Litecoin mining is the only one i do as of right now, im not sure if ill get into any of the others. should take me about 5 to 6 months to see a breakeven ROI for the setup i have. so far I am well on track for that, maybe even sooner.

these things are ridiculously efficient when it comes to power consumption, and where i live power is an obscenely low price, 0.079 cents per Watt hour. so to run all 5 of these things, balls out it only costs me about 80 to 90 bucks a month increase on my power bill and that includes my server and firewall router, and room cooling system i am building since they do manage to pump out a lot of heat between them. on the plus side, i don't think i'll need to run my heater anymore.....on the negative side, it get effing hot in my house now running all these buggers round the clock lol. even with windows open, it's about 23 celcius in here. but it's worth it, over the last 4 days since i got them all up and running i am averaging 12.5 LTC a day.

is the 136 MH A4 on ebay real for the price of a A2 110 or  priced like one of the 1200 or higher A2 .

http://www.ebay.com/itm/A4-Dominator-136Mh-s-Litecoin-miner-like-zeus-thunder-x3-gridseed-a2-terminator-/112185139077?hash=item1a1ec15f85:g:qDAAAOSwNRdYAUzz

and don't  mean to make you look bad but you can buy the same one on ebay for 400 less you would think that would be your price or more on ebay. i guess your selling point is your honest, i have no idea how honest that company is .

 http://www.ebay.com/itm/A4-Dominator-280Mh-s-Litecoin-miner-like-zeus-thunder-x3-gridseed-a2-terminator/401211243305?_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D39107%26meid%3D6893221f2a114fa493051589abdf49d1%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D112185139077

if you all really own the PSU and PI kit won't be needed .

as far as the 400 less, again they still aren't including the power supply. which for a good one can run you quite a bit of money. I chose the ones I did because of the high power consumption efficiency rating and the 10 year manufacturers warranty. my selling point is that its a complete, turnkey kit. Im honest and I have made sure they all work as advertised. i don't know what their procedures are but i am guessing that they just ship you the ones straight from the factory, still in box, unopened. Again, I don't know. but I'd be willing to match their price item for item. $2450 for 2-miners & 1-control box with 4 connecting wires to go between control box and the 4 blades housed in the 2 units.

i guess i can buy a used Power supply for 30 bucks or less that will work and break out board are not that hard to get and don't cost much you can get a few cheaper with cables  some place else but yea i guess the cost of one with cables might be or little less then what they offer on ebay.again I'm not trying to make you look bad I just notice those things .

No worries, or hard feelings. I love to tinker with stuff and find good deals probably more than the next guy, which is why im willing to match their price, because I am sure there are other's out their with their own equipment (PSU's, cables, etc.) already. but, i have spent a lot of time researching and tinkering with these before and after puchasing them. I also know that not everyone has the time or the know how but maybe wants to get into the cryptocurrency mining scene, that's why i decided to make and sell the kit. I hope that answers your questions.

Cheers.

well the 136Mh/s A4 is basically only half the puzzle, mine consists of two units with one control box so they work in tandem. the control box can connect to up to 3 of the units max. also consider that the ebay seller doesn't include a power supply. so the 1400 only includes the 1 x 140Mh/s unit and a raspberry pi control box. so basically i am selling two of the units like his and including a power supply and extras for free. I am able to do a better price because i purchased in bulk from the manufacturer. these are in my possession right now and tested prior to sending them out as well as tweaking the cpu voltage for optimum performance, as each one is picky about the voltage and vary slightly.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon A4 Dominator Mining ---- anybody else have any of these? on: November 13, 2016, 08:14:59 PM
I purchased them direct from innosilicon. I was able to get in their initial release round, but i had to purchase 5 upfront. they won't sell individual units yet. if someone is interested though I would be willing to sell up to 3 of mine individually. 2 x 140Mh/s units work in tandem with a raspberry pi controller.

Each would consist of

2 x Innosilicon A4 Terminators (140Mh/s each)
1 x Raspberry Pi Controller
1 x 1200 Watt EVGA 1200 P2 Platinum power supply
1 x SD card with Innosilicon's OS preloaded on it
1 x USB stick with a copy of the image to reflash the OS if needed
1 x better english user manual than the crappy one they sent me, written by yours truly complete with pictures and screenshots. Ill throw it on the USB drive.
1 x 7 foot Cat6 Ethernet cable
2 x power cables

This kit is a Turn-key setup, ready to run out of the box. $2800 for the whole kit. shipping is uncluded and ships within 24 hours through UPS with confirmation number sent to you via PM or Email if provided. I accept bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin or paypal. Other forms of payment considered on a case by case situation. I will be making an amazon listing tomorrow but the price will be a little higher to account for amazon's fees and what not.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon A4 Dominator Mining ---- anybody else have any of these? on: November 13, 2016, 07:42:26 PM
They Actually work really well, I am clocking about 280 Mh/s for each one of the 5 pairs (10 units total), and that's without overclocking or adjusting core voltages. and i have already made 48 LTC off these things in the past 5 days. it just seems that sometimes one of the units will drop a core off and forget about it. a quick Stop/Restart of the miner seems to do the trick but it is just kind of annoying to have to watch them so closely. any thoughts?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Innosilicon A4 Dominator Mining ---- anybody else have any of these? on: November 13, 2016, 07:21:46 PM
So, I got 5 of them in last week. They are a bit finicky and I am looking to collaborate with others to see if I can work out the bugs.
