163  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the bitcoin be outdated by another currency? on: April 24, 2018, 12:02:31 AM
It is possible that another currency would be able to take the throne of bitcoin. There are a lot of attempts claiming its position but so far no one succeeded because people still prefer bitcoin. If there is more demand to a coin that is a payment option and is better than bitcoin in terms of transaction fee and confirmation time then there is a possibility it will be replaced but if not then bitcoin would remain in its throne. There are so many altcoins nowadays, thousand of them but not one can surpass bitcoin yet because the demand of bitcoin is still there.
This is true, many have really tried to replace bitcoin in its spot but still bitcoin remain to be the number one cryptocurrency. We can see that even Ethereum, the leading altcoin, can't just replaced bitcoin in its place. Their price equivalents are far from each other which shows how bitcoin is really dominating. Anyways, there is a possibility for bitcoin to be replaced in its spot but it is not going to be easy. When we say cryptos, people who haven't know it yet that much will say, "Crypto as in Bitcoin." Bitcoin is very popular that when we say cryptos/ digital money/cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is the first thing that will cross their minds.

As for me, thinking about bitcoin being replaced will be very hard especially when it is the most popular, in-demand and most used cryptos by all of us.

165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red? on: April 16, 2018, 11:42:46 PM
Not the entire year but maybe the first half of the year. On this day it’s still red. The crypto world is still in a big crash. Many are selling their coins because of the big dip. And that also the reason why the market is not recovering. We are all hoping that this entire year will not be red. We all waiting for the big increase on the second half of the year. Finger crossed!
I don't want to be negative here so I am also thinking that only the first 6 months of the year will be on red.  Another 6 months is a long time and the price starts rising once it hits this period.  It should be enough for the coins to recover and also for us to recover what we have loss.  We shouldn't lose hope,  this is just the volatility of the coins acting and we know how stressful and disappointing it could be if we are going to let ourselves be affected.

167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: March 16, 2018, 03:35:42 PM
Patience is not a trait many people hаve. Being able to HODL in crypto is a trаit not many have. With all the FUD and scаms around us, it is pаrаmount for the community to HODL and build vаlue in any currency. It's mаtter of time it will grоw and everyone will profit.
Right, as the popularity of bitcoin is growing, number of scams are also growing in this community. I think that hackers are getting more determined in what they do because the price of bitcoin keeps on growing even if the price is going on jumps these past few months. People are surely worried when they are joining projects because there are many scam projects today. Even participating on airdrops have security issues. Anyways, people are getting worried and is having a hard time controlling their emotions seeing that the market price can't just have a good increase after the dumps these past months. We can read all over this forum advises to HODL our coins and investments as long as we can. It may be hard but as for me, I will hold my investments and do not have plans to sell.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: March 16, 2018, 02:38:31 PM
Its not because of entertainment why most people gamble, Its all about the money because if it wasn't, they would have played online gambling games without spending or winning any money just like OP said.

Money makes people more interested on a specific things so I think gamblers still choose to gambling because of this. Online games are the best in terms of self satisfaction but without earning money I think its hard for a gamblers to shift on that.
People won't be clinging and playing gambling if they just want to have fun. It is the reality of life, money attracts people because we totally need it to survive in this world, expenses, daily needs and etc, we all need money for that. They can play online games but they will very much chose gambling over it because they can also get satisfaction from it and earn money from it. Maybe this way or method of earning is very wrong since what we need to do in order to have money is look for a real job which will pay us but some people take chances on playing because there is a chance of winning big amount of money without exerting too much effort and time.
169  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Trading When Red? on: March 16, 2018, 10:03:37 AM
Sometimes, there are situations when we are forced to sell even if the market price is low. This had happened to me before , there was an emergency in our family and I need some money. That time was when bitcoin really had a huge drop and since I need the money, I have no choice but to sell some tokens and sell bitcoin even at low price. Anyways, the price changes from time to time and even if I have to sell at that time I still get to earn a good profit when the price bubbled up. This is how volatile these coins are and we just have to keep earning them because the time that these coins will bring us good fortune will surely come.
170  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 good year or bad year for Cryptocurrency ? on: March 15, 2018, 09:21:52 PM
I think 2018 is a good year for Cryptocurrency since it is known worldwide nowadays. There are lots of people already doing and using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Every year, bitcoin and cryptocurrency gets popularity.
It is true that bitcoin and crytocurrencies are increasing in popularity  but that doesn't mean that it will be helpful. You see, there are many users and the population is growing, they get to earn cryptos and trade it to become fiat money. We know that to increase the market price, we need investors but what if there is a huge gap in the number of users (sellers) and investors. The market price will be decreasing if there are more selling transactions than buying. Yes, when the price gets low it will be a good chance to buy but what if no one or only a few did. We aim for the price to be higher in the future but if there will be no investors, a lot if sellers only, then it will just be a dream for the price to be bigger.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you encourage friends and family to invest in crypto? on: March 15, 2018, 06:51:00 PM
Of course I do, it is one way to help them out from our previous lifestyle.
We are accountable to the safety and success of the members of our family as well as our friends. If we know they deserve to be learned about crypto investment, then they should also have to initiative to learn.
True, why should keep something beneficial to yourself if you know that other people also need it to. It is not a bad idea to share knowledge to other people especially to your family and friends. I have been encouraging some important people in my life to also try earning cryptos and see for themselves how helpful it is. I do not force them, I just give them ideas, real ideas from my own experiences and of course not all of them are going to believe in me. Some will also try it but will just be active at the beginning, we cannot control them and their decisions as well after all.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people buy high and sell low on: March 14, 2018, 08:31:49 PM
I've been one of those people, the people that buy at the high points of crypto and then sell low, losing my money and then later on losing out on a good amount of profits which I could've made. I'd like to know some of the reasons that people do this, besides doing it to cut their losses as that one is my reason.

Thanks guys!

definitely your correct! because of some situation that people need the money , when they buy coins at high cost and they expect to sell for good price but comes the situation that the price drops so they have no choice but to sell the coins in order to fulfill their needs of emergency.
We cannot avoid if situations like this come to our lives. Yes, we often hodl and plan to sell at high prices so that there will be big profit but sometimes things just don't go how the way we plan it. Expecting that everything will go according to plan and then here comes the need for money at certain situations (where we are forced to sell even if we don't like to) is just depressing. This had also happened to me many times but instead of being sad, I enlighten myself thinking that it is sold at low prices but is used for important things or important person. It is very helpful because it tends to lighten the mood and lessen the regret.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you think younger generation is more open to technology? on: March 14, 2018, 02:50:16 PM
Strongly agree that most of the younger generation is more open and interested in technology and the crypto world than the old people who are very minimal of technology or can be said to stutter the technology, they are not at all concerned with the development of technology today even they do not understand using the internet, which they know only farming and gardening, because they do not want to learn and dizzy thinking for technological advances that exist today.
It is true that the older generations tends to be not concerned with the growing technology but not all of them. There are people in their generations who are willing to adapt what is in trend - clothing, activities and technology. Of course, sometimes they are having a hard time figuring things out like when it comes to devices since they are not like the younger generations who grew up with the technology. Younger people are more open to technology because it is already there before they were born and the improvement moves along faster than their age, the disadvantage is that they tends to depend more on technology rather than their own skills.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading actually worth it? on: March 14, 2018, 01:53:53 PM
Trading is worthy and profitable if you deal with rules and procedures of trading.Practice makes man perfect more practice lead to gain expertise in trading and can earn more in trading rather than traditional job.
Yes trading is profitable but risky too. We have our individual techniques and individual strategy but we'd still have those rules and procedures that must to follow. Of course one of those procedures is acquiring so much knowledge regarding trading and be an open minded people accepting useful tips that we can read here at forum.
Trading can be profitable to anyone who knows how to do it. You see trading is not just about selling and buying coins but it is also about earning money and if someone will disregard the basic knowledge of sell high and buy low, trading will not be beneficial for that person. Studying trading is not just about reading it, it is also about understanding it and we tend to understand it better if we experience if first-hand. For me, experience is the best teacher and more often that those successful traders are rich because they have the best experiences on trading. Sometimes, we can also learn from the mistakes that we made.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom, loneliness, grief or lose on: March 11, 2018, 05:29:04 PM

I gamble but I never treat gambling as relaxation. For me, watching movies at home, playing video games and eating is more relaxing than gambling.
I also do not consider as playing gambling offline and online a relaxation because I don't like noisy places and I also do not like my time being spent on unimportant things. If I want to relax, I treat myself really good and I spent my day eating foods I like, watching movies and sleeping for straight and long 8 hours. As a student, most of the time I lack of sleep and sometimes I don't really sleep at all due to my busy schedule so when weekends come and if I don't have any projects to do, I go on relaxing. I have never think of gambling as a way of relaxing and escape to negativity because I believe that if I am sad and then I lose money because of playing, I will only be more sad.

176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time management. on: March 11, 2018, 03:41:13 PM
Most of us have a daily responsibilities.
How do you manage your time in trading and in bounty campaign as well as researching for the news and updates of your favorite altcoin?
Time management is very important for everyone. because it is a good thing for one's life. everyone has his / her duty respectively. if I am alone, will divide my time well, between responsibility for day-to-day with time for trading. I will first do everyday tasks, if it is finished then I will start to trade and dig up as much information as possible. usually I look for information at night.
Many people are having a bad time managing their own time between responsibilities at home, school and with bitcoin. Some parents opposed this way of earning money because for them it will just be a distraction in studies. For me, we don't have to spend a lot of time in bitcoin because we can do what we have to do here during our free time. Many people are spending their time incorrectly that is why they end up rushing everything before the deadline. We can divide the number of posts per day, what we have to do is to make sure that we reach that targeted number for that day to avoid adjusting the number for the following days.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: March 10, 2018, 04:36:32 PM
Honestly I believe bitcoin is better since one you don't use your credit card so you don't loose you needed cash but instead your cash that you could easily earn back from mining. Plus, it's open to all ages unlike credit cards.
I don't think so, cryptocurrencies may be considered better than regular currency but the usage will still be the thing that will matter the most. As time passes by, things are going different with cryptocurrencies and regular currencies wherein people are already starting to patronize cryptocurrencies over fiat money. It is expected that someday, bitcoin will dominate the world and make the fiat vanish.
That is what many people believe but the fact that bitcoin can't be used like the fiat in paying our expenses is important. Many people desire for bitcoin to be used like fiat but we all know that it will be hard to implement because not all countries have that good internet connection and not all people can afford the device that will be needed in performing transactions. Bitcoin can dominate fiat but using it for everyday expenses will only be an idea unless implemented.
Yes. that is what people believed but the present situation will be significant to the future because it is where the future will be based and we know that at the present we can't fully depend on bitcoin. We still need fiat money for our everyday life which bitcoin cannot be as useful as it is when it comes online. We can depend on bitcoin but we still need to sell it and convert into our countries' regular currency. That is the reality, we wan't bitcoin to be fully utilized but our country and some fellowmen are not ready for that.

179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading is gambling after all on: March 03, 2018, 04:25:53 PM
Yes trading is gamble because when money is involved in a short term profit is visible it means gamble, but it plays in a different way also, but since trading is about buying and selling therefore it is more on business activity, that needs a hard effort inorder to make profit,  but then after all it is still considered as gamble because money is the main character of the play😊
But anyway if seen from the basic of the effort, it's really not a gamble, it's more dependent on the expertise in analyzing the prices over time as well as choosing the right coins to be used as a trading effort. This is not a game such as in a gambling, which's only dependent on lucky (not strategy), and I think the luckies in trading depends on expertise on the price analys, it's different with a gambling that's just dependent on the game which's really randomly and testing our luckies.
Right,  trading is also not like gambling for me because of the mere fact that you can control how much profit you earned by using analysis before making any decisions. In trading,  you can make sure that there is a profit unlike in gambling where there is totally no assurance and  just luck.  Some are saying that mathematics  can be used to win gambling games but I think that it was very imaginative.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Much Should You Invest in Bitcoin? on: March 03, 2018, 03:24:56 PM
I often get asked privately if Bitcoin is worth an investment. My answer is a whopping yes….invest your time.
The price fluctuation of Bitcoin is certainly fascinating, but how cryptocurrencies (and blockchain, more on that soon) will affect you, your job, your business, and humans collectively is far more lucrative.
The financial (and in turn, geopolitical) institutions are about to go through what the media (music, books, TV, newspapers, cinema) industry went through since the rise of social media during the past decade.
Your investment in time learning about blockchain uses will far outweigh the investing of your $ € ¥ £ etc..

It depends to you on how much money do.you have there and how nuch money do you wanted to invest just know that if you invest that money is you will have a hard time on getting it back immediately because the bitcoins are not stable and they can either rise or fall. But i suggest that just invest a small amount and then everytime you have spare money buy bitcoins dont buy in one sitting. It is kinda risky for you.
Actually there is no specific amount needed or required in investing into bitcoin. @icecream sandwich is right that how much money you have can be a good amount to start  with. What matters is how are you going to make profit from that amount.  Yes it is a big risk to invest money in cryptos but time makes it more than worth it. I did not start with a specific amount,  in fact,  I started from zero yet here I am,  able to support myself and help my family at the same time.
