I don't think this is possible as of now for bitcoin as it really needs the internet, but maybe another coin could do this and rely on bluetooth so we will just have to wait for the scientists to discover it. It would be efficient as long as it can not be compromised.

So it's not possible to do this with bitcoin yet? I still hope that this technology will be developed and transactions will occur instantly.
