101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Authorities Confiscating miners on: December 26, 2019, 11:56:39 PM
Chinese authorities have seized nearly 7000 crypto mining machines that are illegally consuming electric power, really hope this won't affect bitcoin in any way? And why are people doing this? Prove of staking is a better option and no one will ever know you are mining anything, i am not saying POW miners are bad but illegally? Come on! It's not worth taking such risk when they know they can be caught, they can earn same profits from Staking

Full news is right here
https://cointelegraph.com/news/chinese-authorities-confiscate-nearly-7-000-crypto-mining-machines

The Chinese really do have strict regulations about cryptocurrencies as they want to control almost everything in their country. Plus, if it's illegal source of power, the culprits must really be put by the law. Furthermore, the issue of regulation even in miming industry has been debated by many and if it must be taxed or monitored by the government. Even in our country, there is no clear process about it nor a permit to operate, not that it is needed or required by the law. Until there's no clear set of rules, the government must not deal with the crypto industry in my opinion.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin regulations and their future implications on: December 26, 2019, 11:29:49 PM
TBH, I'm sure regulation is going to show weaknesses of stablecoins. With no institutional clearing house to support large volumes, they'd collapse or at least would not be able to serve the number of people the do today. Regulators could bring any stablecoin to its knees if they so desired. If it's backed in FIAT, it's just as sizeable, no matter how tokenized.

Cryptocurrencies have come so far from the original purpose but these could lead to further improvement. Regulation is one thing that some people do concern. Yet, it won't necessarily be needed as a whole for the industry. Indeed, being backed by fiat, makes it not different or unique from fiat. It will be sizeable no matter what.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies are highly undervalued these days? on: December 26, 2019, 10:33:37 PM
The market is down right now and it's been for a couple of years now. So there are a lot of promising coins undervalued.
NEO, Stellar and NEM are the coins most undervalued among the top coins. They are having many achievements in the time being but there price has failed to reflect the development. EOS had a spectacular rise earlier but it is also not being able to repeat its growth in price compared to the growth of its use.

And since there are a lot of undervalued cryptocurrencies, it's actually the best time to buy them. But one must be careful still and choose wisely which must be only bought. It's been an expensive month already for many of us so, I doubt we all still have the money for investing in multiple top cryptos. Furthermore, I do hope prices will start to crawl up once again soon.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 26, 2019, 04:41:46 PM
In fact, you are not too harsh with things like this. We all know that this is just the FUD of the whales and it makes the young sheep bewildered that this is the future and they will sell off their coins. then the messenger will be the one who ordered all those coins and will later sell them at a higher price.
This is one of the classic strategies to entice those who lack knowledge of financial markets. we need to be wise and ignore these unflattering news.

Indeed, being affected personally by this kind of news is what they want you to feel. Everything is speculation until the event happens so, try your best not to be swayed easily by emotions brought by these FUDs. Being calm in that kind of situation also allows you to reevaluate your current strategy and decide for the best for your investment. Don't lose hope over some news.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or Utility Tokens? on: December 26, 2019, 03:32:04 PM
At present time in the crypto space. Yes there are more and more projects coming up every day. New coins and tokens. What would you rather see more of this time that be more useful to you?

Coin or a Utility token that can be earned by doing something else?

Why do you think a Coin is what you want to see?

Or Why would you want to see more Token projects?

or why you would not want to see either of both

Tell us your reasons why. this be neat

Regardless of being a coin or token, the project can only be successful if the public really found it to be relevant, popular and useful. With these factors, the survival of the project after it is launched, will increase. But maintaining these factors are difficult and other factors such as government laws can have a great impact on them. Initially, investors look for profitable projects so, having realistic goals can make the project look more sustainable thus, many investors will follow.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Much Worth of Projects IEO's listing in Exchanges? on: December 25, 2019, 08:52:45 PM
I Would like to ask about some Exchange where some project's IEO are running, How Much worth of those Project that are Listed for IEO in these Exchange.(Latokens,Exmarkets,P2P2B2B,Sistemkoin,ProBit)

The fruit does not fall far from the tree. There have been a lot of allegedly reports and negative reputation of the exchangers you've mention. So, the IEOs running through them more likely received skeptical remarks from many. My personal opinion here is that if the project itself have unrealistic promises for their investors, it more likely to fail. Be more observant even to those little details because skepticism can save you from losing a lot of money.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest crypto fraud of all time on: December 25, 2019, 07:35:26 PM
I always think that bitconnect scam was the biggest in crypto space until i heard about one coin, a Ponzi scheme that defraud investors approximately $4 billion around the globe and one coin ceo have been missing since 2017, we really need to be very careful where w invest our hard earned cash, when a offer is too good to be true there is always more that met the eye

I remember people calling one coin the bitcoin killer, lol 😆 oh i hate centralized coins, the fact is there was no coin mined, no blockchain, nothing, I have never seen anything like it, any coin that claims to kill bitcoin is red flag lol,

Indeed, it is still the most popular scam case because it is also the time when investors became more cautious and wary of other projects. It did a number on the reputation of many ICOs and many projects did lose potential investors. It is really sad to see that whether or not a crypto really do technically use blockchain, once the scam is confirmed, many mouths will blame it.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just earned my first 9$ in Bitcoin Cash, how can I grow it? on: December 25, 2019, 06:26:23 PM
What can I do with this 9$ worth of Bitcoin Cash to make it grow in a short time? Should I trade cryptocurrencies? How about trading bots?

One of the other options is to convert it to bitcoin or even to alts. But the real question is when. Recently, many prices of cryptocurrencies have dropped because many people sell them for fiat since it is the time of the year when people become so expensive. With this, there are investors like me who bought some bitcoin and other crypto at these times of low prices.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins not Growing These Days on: December 24, 2019, 05:45:13 PM
As we all know , crypto market is not doing so much in these days. Major Altcoins are bleeding, even top currencies are not increasing
Major reason according to my opinion is the lack of new investors. New investors are not showing interest.
in 2020 I think will be better than Today. What do you think, what is your prediction about crypto market. kindly share your thought.

2020 indeed should be better than the current dull state of the market. This season had made many investors to sell their cryptocurrency for fiat mainly because of the expenses. They might also see fit to use other means that do not require transactions through crypto. It's sad actually to see that the prices are dropping. But in the brighter side, some take this as an advantage to buy and hope for 2020 for market improvement.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: December 23, 2019, 10:38:40 PM
It will surely have good impact on crypto market in general but some are saying it will outrival bitcoin which is very hard to believe for me ,globalcoin will do fine no doubt but can't rival bitcoin

It cannot rival Bitcoin, I agree with that, I share the same perspective.

However, what makes you think that it will have a good impact on the crypto market in general? Because it inevitably raises awareness for cryptotechnology & DeFi?

Facebook has quite strong impact in a modern day society so launching a project will definitely raise awareness and could really educate the public about cryptocurrencies. It can clear up misconceptions about the technology and the industry. Personally speaking, I encountered some ignorant relatives who absolutely know nothing about crypto but talks about bitcoin like its a ponzi scheme or something. Really though, this can help remake the reputation of the whole crypto industry.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 23, 2019, 09:52:14 PM
Why do people still fall victims to obvious scams? Especially on twitter people are still sending bitcoin to traders, no one is a perfect trader, do not send bitcoin or other coins to people to trade for you, its stupid and foolish idea

Today a bitcoin trader on twitter exit scam and delete all traces off social media, i heard its about 53bitcoin, here is the link to the news

https://coinnewstelegraph.com/bitmex-bitcoin-fund-manager-exit-scams-before-christmas/

Pls stop, there is no such thing as easy money, its either you learn or you quit or else you will keep losing money

Humans can be greedy and ignorant at the same time. Our lack of knowledge and our desire for instant reward for a little to no effort, can brought us to fall to the hands of the perpetrators. Soon enough, it will be 2020 and there will be new trends. And with these new trends, new ways of scams will be spread out so expect that there will be  new "victims" again.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 23, 2019, 04:23:12 PM
I couldn't hold it back any longer; as I have sold off my major portfolio because of Christmas celebration. This hold started from last year July, 2018 and now, couldn't hold them again as I have sell off my assets because of the pressure from the family members. After the sale of this asset this evening, I was perplexed as how much I just dumped, all in the name of Christmas.

What are your experience: positive or negative.

This holiday season isn't the season for most of the cryptos I have. So, I decided to hold them for the time being. I anticipate and expect more to what will happen in 2020. Any extra money I can have right now is mostly have been used to buy more crypto especially bitcoin because the prices are relatively low. Hopefully, this strategy will work well for me.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Concentrate more on the technology and give less attention to price value. on: December 23, 2019, 11:35:04 AM
This is how investors' mind set when investing in a project, however, the problem is mojority of investors in crypto is not really into the technological part of it, but in the financial opportunity that it brings. We cannot blame people since each has their own reasons for supporting and leaving a project. In time, I believe investors will be wiser when choosing which project will they support as time goes by people will learn how important cryptocurrency as part of our system and daily life.

Many investors really just do it for the potential income regardless what is the nature of the project nor they believe that the crypto will be useful in building up the industry of all cryptocurrencies. There were some projects before that have a good objectives in helping shape the society with the help of blockchain technology but very few of them survive until now. In the future, I do hope that there would be such projects that will succeed in pursuing the revolution through blockchain for the betterment of the society.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins delist and Bitcoin only on: December 23, 2019, 07:42:50 AM
Some services here in crypto only trust Bitcoin then they not use Altcoins now like example in Faucethub that very useful and helpful in the past with different cryptocurrency but base in government restriction then they can only run with Bitcoin and not Altcoins then now i read this news so i want to hear your opinion about this because i think in future we can only use Bitcoin

https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinfloors-ceo-explains-decision-to-delist-all-crypto-but-bitcoin-to-cointelegraph/amp

It's kinda sad especially to those who uses the exchanger for other cryptos like ETH, XRP, etc.. The exchanger will most likely going to lost some customers since there will people who prefer altcoins in some ways. The idea of getting rid of "useless" cryptos might have gotten overkill because even ETH will be delisted. Hopefully, they will realize this sooner.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are smart as well. on: December 22, 2019, 11:50:56 PM
The scammers are not stupid or smart, these guys are really experienced in social engineering. They have the minimum requirements for tricking the other users in various ways and take their money out of their pocket. That is why educated investors are a threat to the scammers.

Indeed. There's even a movie called "Who Am I" that talks about social engineering and how well can it be used to make other people do what you want then too. This method of manipulation is quite advance and difficult to master and implement. But with enough resources and story to cover, anyone can masquerade and fool the people in this industry.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The use of stable coins or no? on: December 22, 2019, 04:28:54 PM
On the other day, I think of the use of stable coins. I mean, when can we use Stable coins as an alternative fiat. You see when a bull run comes and everyone will start to sell their Bitcoins and some other coins into fiat the network will be congested.

So I think if we buy Stable coins with some stable volume, we will no longer need to worry about unable to sell our bitcoin into fiat.
Rather we only need to do this thing right? is this some acceptable alternative or no?

It will take a lot of time to take crypto, specifically stable coins, to replace the functions of fiat. Many people in this industry still needs fiat to live in everyday basis. But I also do share opinion of using stable coins in this way is the best way to use it. I also do hope that the use of this kind of financial activity will be seen more often in the society. It is still a long road, but it's all worth the effort.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Teach me how to fish on: December 22, 2019, 02:17:25 PM
Everyone keeps pointing to trading as the best alternative to earning in this bear market but my past experience about trading was bad and now i am willing to give a try again, can any one give me good guide? don't just tell me to find strategy without giving me any, teach me how to fish
if you remember this "buy low and sell high" some people may think if buy low can be achieved easily but the problem is how you can get the bottom price of coin that can give you instant profit when there will be a bump again. If you are willing to do trade again and you can start to think if the bearish trend will always be the your range to enter the market.
You don't need to learn everything like fibonaccim or another technical analysis caused by this is crypto when something getting affected by various factors especially the fundamental that comes from the news everyday.
What you need to learn  is about how to get the bottom price when there will be a bearish market.
put that as your main point to trade. never try to join in the market when it was getting bullish.

Finding the lowest low to buy and start investing is indeed not an easy task. Also, many people always make unrealistic goals that's why they often found themselves unsatisfied and regretful in the end of the bargain. Even I, was once a greedy one and only after the potential profit that the crypto could offer to me. Trading isn't just targeting the point where you can earn the most. It is studying first the trend before you taking the risk. Knowing that the market for this particular crypto is bad enough, makes a lot of difference in the end of the deal.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: December 21, 2019, 11:58:55 PM
It's just days before 2020 right now but the hype for cryptocurrencies is still not that strong. But I do believe that there would be certain point where the current dull state will be broken, bringing back the old good glory days of investing.  My preparations are already set and since I don't have much capital right now, I limit my profile to few cryptos. Hopefully, this preparations will be worth the time, money and effort when the seasons finally changed.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason Has Almost Arrived For Altcoins. on: December 21, 2019, 11:34:21 PM
Altcoin season might be delay due to the fact that FUDs are now being circled around especially right now that the price of bitcoin is dropping and many people are influence also. BTC is known to be bigger than all altcoins combined but it doesn't guarantee it will be like that in the future. Holding is my personal motto right now since I truly believe in my current long term investments.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be afraid of making mistakes on: December 21, 2019, 08:19:00 PM
Though it is difficult to be not afraid when the mistake you had made had cost you a lot of money. It is really difficult also to take risk on something you are not very familiar with. It is nice to learn from the mistakes but sometimes, there are cases that you don't have to experience those circumstances to learn from them.
