1  Economy / Goods / Re: How to convert Bitcoin to cash using fine wine. on: November 09, 2017, 02:09:43 PM

51attack,
all good points. technically clients are buying physical cases of wine and storing them in perfect conditions. The fact they tend to appreciate in value as they get consumed reducing the original finite supply is a benefit but we never sell wine with a guarantee of return.

I see the model now. Very good!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: .::ALIENWARE (ALW)TOKEN ERC20 , TOKEN SALE + AIRDROP IS LIVE::. on: November 09, 2017, 02:24:00 AM
I don't think Alienware will like their name or branding being used for this coin. Sad

51attack, We do accept US clients, whilst there is no UK tax issues when you sell the wine (VAT, duty, capital gains tax) I can't give you a firm answer on what tax implications have been triggered (if any) when you convert Bitcoin to wine. Every country has different views on the matter.

The reason why I was asking, is that if you are providing a return on someone investing, there maybe some legalities with the SEC. Even if you are in the UK, if you accept US customers, the US could still knock on your door. Sad

Similar to the way ICOs are locking out United states citizens. Because they fear repercussions.

I think the idea of investing in wine using the blockchain is very interesting and doable. I know there are those gold backed cryptos.
4  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: November 09, 2017, 01:55:09 AM
I don't see a single one yet. Crypto is stii unknown to most of the people here in my country. I only know online stores accept btc but I think supermarkets will follow sooner.

For US consumers. Shift card connected to a coinbase account. Works. I have it and have been using it for a long time. I can withdraw up to $200 cash each day, and can spend up to $1000 a day using the card. Those are the limits.

My solution has always been to use Gyft.com to buy giftcards, specifically wholefoods, as well as using my shift card tied to coinbase. I can just shop as I normally do with a debit card. Smiley

You may want to check with the illustrator who drew the roller coaster design. He was going to be doing his own tshirts and was looking for a licensing fee for use of the design. brainlesstales.com

How do you currently deal with US customers? Being that its an investment and they are getting a return. You promising a return?

Maecenas is trying to do the same thing with fine art.  https://www.maecenas.co/

I love the idea of a public QR code in a painting. If you had it displayed people could "Tip" the painting. Maybe the private key is sealed on the back of the canvas. Only those who buy the painting can get access to the tips. The value not only goes up because of whats stored but what the intrinsic value of the art work.

Even though your concept is great, the execution and color selection is not great. What is the size of the piece.

I dont know many artists that are starting out who can sell a piece for for more than $1k usd. The price is a bit ridiculous.
