Bitcoin’s ecosystem, in addition to its exchange rate and market capitalization, had quite a tumultuous March due to escalating hostilities between proponents and developers of the 'Segregated Witness’ and ‘Emergent Consensus’ upgrade proposals.

However, the temporary instability has not dissuaded digital currency entrepreneurs from continuing to invest capital in Bitcoin ATMs (BTMs).

The hacker who stole 120k Bitcoin from Hong Kong-based exchange Bitfinex on August 2nd of 2016, has continued moving a portion of their loot across the Bitcoin network this month.

This is the hacker’s first attempt at neutralizing the ability of professional blockchain forensics firms and law enforcement agencies to track the stolen coins.

While the hacker’s first move on Jan. 26, 2017, was Tweeted by Bitfinex and received plenty of coverage from many financial news outlets, maneuvers over the past few days have gone mostly unreported.

Bitfinex is currently the largest exchange in the world in terms of daily volume. The timing of the whole thing is obviously super sketchy.

Bitcoin Trades at $1060 Again; Recoups All Losses From PBoC Crackdown on Chinese Exchanges

As of today, the price of Bitcoin has recouped all losses that were incurred on February 9th, when the People’s Bank of China spooked majority of Chinese cryptocurrency exchanges into complying with existing financial regulations.

The PBoC warnings sent the price of Bitcoin crashing from $1066 to $914 in the space of a three hours that day. Today, the BTC/USD exchange rate is once again hovering around $1060.
