Having no mac wallet and no mac miner is keeping a substantial amount of people from this project. Not sure how four or five months in there isn’t even a mac wallet. This isn’t the 1990s. A substantial amount of people use macs exclusively now, and have no interest in ever loading up windows again.

The easiest way to tackle this at the moment is by installing the Windows wallet in VirtualBox. There is also a Mac C++ miner that is comparable to the Java miner available -

https://bitbucket.org/cryptogone/ariocppminer/downloads/

Time for a new exchange Cheesy Octaex seems to be down for hours now and no message/information.

And about the mac wallet, i see on the frontpage that the linux and mac wallet is the next step in the roadmap. All the previous points are all worked out as promised in a short time, so i dont see any problem about an linux/mac wallet soon?

And yes it would be nice for the few mac users, however, mac users always scream about the software what is only there for windows. If u talk about the newest videogames like BF1, COD WW2 or whatever, nothing is for MAC and that have a reason: almost no users in compare with the huge amount of windows users. But again, the good thing is, this small team will create an linux and mac wallet. A company like EA with millions of dollars dont care.

And hey, there is also an Android wallet, maybe he can use that one till the mac wallet release? Android wallet works good.

A listing fee has been submitted to our next exchange, we are just waiting for listing confirmation.

As for the Linux/Mac wallet, the Linux GUI is currently being designed and hopefully released this month, the Mac wallet should follow in the next month

Ow nice! can u tell on what exchange?

We are just waiting for the listing to be confirmed before we announce

Oké, great!

I can not find the coin on coinmarketcap. What is it's current market cap?

U can calculate by urself, get the buy price for 1 coin, buy-price * total current supply and u have the marketcap.

I think because octaex got no connection to coinmarketcap, and it must be based on an exchange price (for what i know).

During the night, the network hashrate has almost doubled! I don't know if it's good or bad) What do you think of this? It is possible that soon the price of the coin will be more?

I think it's Asic's. I think the increase Hashrate at the expense of them not very good for the future.

Relax. We already working on a anti ASIC Solution. You can follow the development here: https://github.com/qwertycoin-org/qwertycoin/tree/heavy This Cryptonight Heavy Algorithm is since a week in our Testnet.

Nice job, can't wait to mine on cryptonight heavy.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: May 08, 2018, 06:38:43 PM
It seems at first glance, the development is going well, slowly following the plan. But still very weak support from supporters and the community. I would like to see more interested people. As there is a contest already ended on 5 may?

Oh i am very interested in this coin, testing stuff and mining since day 0,. or day 1 however u call it haha.

The problem i have now is buying, i dont like the website where its on now (octaex). Crex24 or something would be a good start (small exchange but i trust them).
I like everything about this coin so i am supporting by mining this coin with everything i got. But i also would like to buy so i can increase my wallet balance, however, not on octaex. For this i would like to see this coin on crex24 at least.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: May 08, 2018, 06:10:19 PM
wow i saw something nice on octaex, but for who this lil pump did.. Why not make the buy wall higher/stronger instead of buying on 20 Cheesy

I will pick some more later today, great job
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: dcr.suprnova.cc - Suprnova's Decred Pool on: May 06, 2018, 10:13:41 AM
How to setup the Inno D9 to point to this pool?

Did you try the nicehash port already? Should be pretty straightforward

Sorry, but this is my first time with Decred. I will be receiving the miner within 4 days, and would like to be ready when it comes. So just to confirm, it should be something like this:

URL: stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:2255
Worker: <Weblogin.WorkerName>
Password: <PasswordoftheWorker>

Thanks for the help.

Yes, it's either 2255 or 3256 .. some miners implemented one variant, others the second.. just give it a try and you'll see your hashrate on the dashboard

Hi, I can see the hashrate, but no earnings, is it when the round closes the earnings are realized? I am not sure how to attach an image in this post, but it feels like my earnings are 0, even though there is hash rate being shown.

Come on guys, this is not a tutorial page: how do you mine coins?

----

Anyway, Jo OCMiner,

An question, i've been gone for a while on ETH/ETC/DCR and all that crap coins, but i am putting 1 gpu back on to etc (ethermine, need the payouts from them) and dcr (suprnova), u are using different poolnames/ports for DCR on different pages.
On the one page u say ppl must use: dcr-gw.suprnova.cc:3252 and on the other page u talk about dcr.suprnova.cc:3252
In 2x sessions for both 30 minutes it looks like dcr-gw dont like to give accepted shares (got 1) while dcr.suprnova.cc works fine.
I see u did many things around this coins (more ports, more from all), however not all ur pages are up to date.

Anyway, as u can see i am using claymore dual miner (v11.7)

Greets, minerjoen

As a small miner you should have switched a long time ago and watch https://whattomine.com/ to see what to mine.  No point mining a coin that is less profitable than another.  Mine the most profitable and buy into the coin you like.

I've switched right when price droped from 30 ETN / 1 Khs to 11 ETN / 1 Khs.

But in my mind I still considered myself ETN miner Smiley. And I've waited that fork every day. And then they said (or I missunderstood) the fork would be this week.

Do you read there facebook and stuff where they are active?

for what i know the big update to the newest Monero would be at the end of this month, not this week.

For what i read on there facebook and website is that they will do some little fixes earlier, the change to newest monero version will be at the end of may (30-31 of may).

Can be i missed something on the news, was following there github last days.

https://electroneum.com/2018/04/25/blockchain-update/
So tell me, where did you find the fud about this week? Or are u just starting it?

I will copy it, because people seems dont like to read facts and search google for 10 seconds:
ETN Blockchain Update May 30th

Monero (who we based our blockchain code on) perform an update approximately every 6 months, and this is a great practice, as it allows them to keep their technology moving forward and introduce new features. We will be following this model and our first major update (also known as a fork) is scheduled to take place at block 307500 which is approximately 10.30am BST on May 30th.
Don’t panic! – Forking explained

It’s important for everyone to understand that whilst this is known as a fork, it is very different to Bitcoin forking to bitcoin cash or bitcoin gold. The fork will not result in two currencies, as all the exchanges and pools will update their software in advance of the update block and Electroneum will continue with an updated blockchain.

Pool in test fase but should be work perfectly:

www.jeronapool.tk

Fee 0%
Minimum payout: 10
Transaction fee: 0,5ETN

Config XMR-STAK: xmr-stak -o stratum+tcp://jeronapool.tk:5555 -u YOURETNWALLETADRESS -p x

Ports: 3333 (start diff 100)
Ports: 5555 (start diff 2000)
Ports: 7777 (start diff 10000)

If some people can throws some hashes to my (test)pool that would be great!

I know shares are save, my test miner is working, i just need more hashes so we can find blocks.
When block find the payout will be in a few seconds (this is the most important thing i want to test: PAY OUTS, this because there are many problems with payouts with ETN. For what i know and see my pool should do the payouts fast and correctly).
I set the pool up because i found out that some miningpools dont payout correctly and the block rewards for each miner are to low (this can have several reasons, there is no reason to put the blame on ETN. They are behind the screens active with finding and adding solutions. And this is where i think it goes wrong, some pools dont add the updates. My pool runs on the newest software what should be used to handle ETN correctly).

At this moment testing loadbalance and payouts, so every miner what want to mine at my pool, appriciated!

Remember: i just put it on 0%, you guys help me with shares and blocks, i let you all do it with 0% fee. I need to test if the payouts works fine, but for this i need u guys to throws some hashes to my pool.

I hope some people (maybe some rigs?) can help me.

Is it possible to use AES?

At present, the library has special code paths for AVX, AVX2 and AVX512f. I hope to include some additional optimizations, but they will probably be along the SSE path; I haven't evaluated if AES instructions would offer any speedup.

Good day dan, i followed all the prompts as stated in the java miner, but once i reach the setting of an alias and i click enter, the application just closes. Tried running it again but it keeps on closing the application. Then once i delete the config file, the prompts start from begining.

Is there any fix for this? My core is i7 and i downloaded the arionum-miner-java-avx2.exe file

I think ur CPU dont support it, what i7 do you have?

I have on my test system an i7 2600 and i can run: ariocppminer_avx.exe , when i try to run the ariocppminer_avx2.exe it opens and closes.
But, when i try the avx2 on a 4th gen i7, it is working.

I think the i7 1st and 2nd gen dont fully support AVX2 so u should use AVX

In practice i dont have any differents in speed, so dont worry to use AVX instead of AVX2 because on my i7 4th gen i get the same speeds Smiley

Stats are showing 1.8% fee, this is NOT correct, its all set on 0%. I am also busy with this part.

Edit: oke stats is showing correct fee: 0%!!

Well because my post before get lost on the page before this one, i will ask my question again:

Does somebody using the deamon wallet on Ubuntu? How can i get it synced?

I am using the newest version, but it just stopped syncing

2018-04-27 08:40:36.326   [P2P5]   INFO    global   src/cryptonote_protocol/cryptonote_protocol_handler.inl:302   [173.208.219.162:26967 OUT] Sync data returned a new top block candidate: 206796 -> 259948 [Your node is 53152 blocks (36 days) behind]
SYNCHRONIZATION started

And after this i just get the same message when waiting like ~30 minutes.
Just need those 53k blocks but he wont sync it..

The way i synced:
1. just using the ./electroneumd command.
2. found out this will take ages so i downloaded the blockchain.raw from the electroneum website
3. oké this took 12 hours to load (on an SSD rofl)
4. when ready i tried to sync by using the command in step 1. All fine, like 100 blocks in a few minutes (still very, very slow but ok it was working)
5. in last night it synced like 500 blocks and just stopped.

Ubuntu is running on an VMware, i gave it 8GB ram and 150GB (SSD) and for the fun 4 cores at 3.9GHz, all connected to an 1gbit fiber connection.

How the hell i can let this deamon sync the last 53152 blocks? Cheesy

Oké well i set the log to 1 and i get some errors:

Hmm.... Can you please check the clock on the machine as the node will not sync if the clock is wrong.

Also can you please type the command status and you should get something like the following and note this can take some time.

status
2018-04-27 09:40:28.787 [P2P9]  INFO    global  src/cryptonote_protocol/cryptonote_protocol_handler.inl:1151   [88.87.9.210:26967 OUT]  Synced 238527/260005

As you can see I' current syncing 238427/260005 and I am only 14 day behind.  This is on a MS Windows machine.

Hey yes the time was wrong indeed (was on automatic and however i live in Amsterdam, Ubuntu deside to let me live in Los Angeles hah).

Well time is good now (why he was syncing before? Didnt change anything with my clock/time), now with the correct time he still dont sync.

Error is gone, now i only get:

Well because my post before get lost on the page before this one, i will ask my question again:

Does somebody using the deamon wallet on Ubuntu? How can i get it synced?

I am using the newest version, but it just stopped syncing

2018-04-27 08:40:36.326   [P2P5]   INFO    global   src/cryptonote_protocol/cryptonote_protocol_handler.inl:302   [173.208.219.162:26967 OUT] Sync data returned a new top block candidate: 206796 -> 259948 [Your node is 53152 blocks (36 days) behind]

I would like to ask how to boost mining speed on my mobile phone it is not increasing stuck around 32H/s. Is there any way to get maximum speed for this purpose any kind of comparison about different devices to show the graph of mining power.

Yeah i get around ~31H/s with an Samsung Galaxy S8, i also dont know how some people can get 2x faster with the same phone, maybe they lie i dont know Tongue

I tested to run like 10 apps at the same time but it wont decrease the speed, closing the apps wont increase the speed. So at my phone it has nothing to do with this.

So, even when they apply those fixes to their blockchain, they would be still on Cryptnight normal? Are they gonna switch to something different, or they are just going to boost the blockchain's speed with this fix?

Why you dont take 5 minutes the time to read there facebook, there blog or there website?

They give all the information...

Hey guys,

I'm trying to sync the simple wallet on ubuntu, however now 4 days later (got a 1gbit internet connection) he is still busy syncing.

Is there any way to make this sync proces faster? I did the ''halve'' working blockchain.raw file but that was just for 50% from all blocks.

In Windows it's easy to add nodes, but i dunno how to do that in ubuntu. Can somebody helps me  to get this sync proces faster?

100 blocks in 20 minutes sucks when there are more then 250.000blocks...

My compliments for the new gui wallet, looks very slick!!
i had to upgrade due to some difficulties and im glad i did.
synced crazy fast for 100k blocks!!

Yeah it looks sweet indeed, also the easy function for starting a node is just perfect. This is an common issue on many coins, when no node, no sync.
Here u can always have a node running to sync the network, perfect!

uh guys, what miner are u using?

I downloaded the miner from the OP on a test system, but this is inclusive a virus (backdoor virus), this is NOT an false positive...

I'm mining for over 8 years now but never saw this virus before. The miner on the gettingstarted from suprnova is an other optminer (but without the .exe, so useless).

Please remove the link in the startingpost, because again: THIS IS NOT AN FALSE POSITIVE, ITS A BACKDOOR VIRUS!

Just LOL men, talking about an private coin but having access to al the dumbies in this topic using the virus miner..

hey! you can following this article :

http://cryptomining-blog.com/9571-cpu-mining-with-cpuminer-opt-3-8-4-the-yescryptr32-algo-for-wavi/

it's a false positive cpuminer...i also use it for a couple of weeks and no problems  Cool

Yes i am also using that one now, that is an false positive indeed. It's a other miner then in the OP.
