645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League Thread (Season 2021/2022 starting on August 7) on: August 18, 2021, 10:10:43 PM
It was a good game tonight in the English championship as away sides dominated proceedings tonight with west Brom the only home team to win tonight

Birmingham 0 - 2 Bournemouth
Hull 0 - 1 Derby
Middlesbrough 2 - 3 QPR
Nottingham 1 - 2 Blackburn
West Brom 4 - 0 Sheffield Utd

15 goals scored tonight and more to come in the weekend toes. I am tipping Westbrom to gain qualification

One of the matches that has drawn my attention this week is Leeds v Everton. Leeds started the season really bad by having a huge defeat against Manchester United, 5-1. On the other hand, Everton defeated Southampton 3-1. This is definitely a decent start for them. Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin were the stars of the match. But I must say that Doucoure's goal was really great. The shot found the net right in the top right corner.

In this match, I'm supporting Everton. I think they are one step ahead and they will win this.

On the contrary, Leeds United did not have a bad start to the season, they simply lost to a more quality and fitter side than them. Manchester United outfitted Leeds United in every aspect of the game. The same cannot be mentioned for Everton who scrabbled through a win against a Southampton side that lost Ings to Aston Villa.

2 mid table teams and I see a first league victory for Leeds United with a bamford brace

This week, it is time for Bayern Munich to get their first win of the season. As you know, they drew with Gladbach 1-1 on the opening week of the league. And I must admit that it was a really tough one. But this week, their opponent is Koln. And we know that Bayern Munich destroyed them in the last head-to-heads here very easily (5-1 and 4-0). So this should be a very easy one for them.

It was a good victory for reigning champions Bayern Munich and you could tell with the reaction of the Bayern players; this is their supposed first win under new coach Nagelsmann and it was worth the wait as Bayern Munich lift the first trophy of the season with a 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Up next is Koln for Bayern and Freiburg host Borussia Dortmund

While everyone was vested in the Mbappe to Real Madrid story today, Villarreal hosted Granada to a draw tonight in the remaining games of the la liga match day 1, it’s been a boring start to the new season, with draws and less goals than win in what seems to be an interesting league battle.

Barcelona with Real and Atletico Madrid are off to a winning start in a 3 man title race.

LMAAAOOO CITEH!  Somehow you just know and it’s just a matter of time.  It’s one of these matches when City miss chances or is just plain stale in the opposing club’s attacking third.

Edit:  That should’ve been 2 - 0 for Tottenham.  City players are tilting rn.  Defense becoming disorganized.  Lawl.

It’s been a bad performance from city players all night; and if not for Spurs players playing terrible passes while on the counter it would have been game over for Manchester city already. A fit Harry Kane in this tie would have scored or assisted 3-4 goals; perhaps Why Spurs are desperate to keep him and Manchester city desperate to buy him

Tie remains a goal advantage to Tottenham hot Spurs and am tipping Spurs to score a second 😁😁
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League & 1. League 2021/22 Season on: August 14, 2021, 09:21:40 PM
It’s a beautiful start to the Turkish Super league with 13 goals scored in just 4 ties so far in Gameweek 1

Besiktas 3 - 0 Rizespor
Fatih Karagumruk 3 - 2 Gaziantep FK
Atlay 3 - 0 Kayserispor
Hatayspor 1 - 1 Kasimpasa

What are your early season predictions ?

New season, same old Real Madrid team. After struggling before half time, Real Madrid now lead away at Alaves with a goal from Benzema in what is a good start to the second half by Carlo Ancelloti boys. Will Real Madrid keep their lead and get 3 points out of 3? There’s 40 minutes of action left to find out

Edit: At full time Real Madrid ended up winning the tie with 4-1 as Carlo Ancelloti wins his first match as Madrid boss for the new season.

Great performance from dortmund against a really good team as always haaland, hazard and reus what a combinarion dortmund today dominated the game especially in the first half they are good i think they have a shot at the title since bayer munich performance is not at top right now.

It was a great performance and I particularly liked Haalamd performances in today tie, Haaland was a provider for 2 of Dortmund goals and then scored one for himself As Borrusia Dortmund gets 3 points from 3. BVB will hope the team does not miss Sancho creativity so much. An interesting season and it would be great to see how Naggelsman turns it around with Bayern

It was a great atmosphere today in the premier league as it is proven once again that football is better with fans. A deserved win for Brentford who top the premier league table for atleast 12  hours. Watch out for more blockbuster fixtures this game week as Manchester United hosts Leeds utd while Manchester city play Tottenham.

What are your predictions?
An interesting start to the premier league
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 12, 2021, 08:53:58 PM
PSG are going to host Strasbourg in Parc des Princes two days later. The thing that I wonder the most is whether Lionel Messi will be ready to play in this game. I can't wait for PSG to announce their starting eleven. If Messi is in it, then I will definitely watch the game. I'm not sure whether he can adapt to the team right away. But still, it will be really nice to see him here.

Well, without Lionel Messi starting nothing should PSG from getting victory over Strasbourg; it is now up to Pochetino to prove his coaching credentials and lead PSG to win the treble.

With a shaky defense line and a Messi less team; PSG should win the tie 3-1

Well, it’s barely two days to the start of the new season with Brentford vs Arsenal being the first match of the season and there’s no buzz. Where are the gunners! Will Brentford continue their dream with a home victory over Arsenal? Will Arteta have a good season at Arsenal? Can Ivan Toney score on the big stages? We will find out on Saturday

I predict Brentford 2-0 Arsenal
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Super Cup 2021 on: August 11, 2021, 10:35:31 PM
The second half of the game was a lot more interesting to watch with a good comeback from the Spanish player.
However in the lottery of penalties Chelsea won.

It was not a bad year for Jorginho and it will be a shame if he will not win the Ballon d'Or in favor of Messi.

So far he has won

Champions League with Chelsea
EURO CUP with Italy
Supercup with Chelsea

Jorginho does not deserve a ballon dor for merely winning trophies; the award is basically for the best performer of the year, is Jorginho Chelsea’s best performer? nope, was he Italy best performer? Nope

Messi winning should not even be on the cards; the best individual season belongs to Lewandoski; any anything else is invalid atleast to me, you can aware ballon dor over a 3 weeks tournament in Europe and South America

A deserved super copa victory for Chelsea; who were lucky to make it to the extra time leveled

Tottenham are in talks with young Inter striker Lautaro Martinez (23) now. Maybe they are thinking of the possibility that Manchester City can still sign Harry Kane this summer and they want to have a backup plan for that. But as Inter have sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, I assume that they wouldn't be willing to sell Martinez also.

Inter are in desperate needs of fund sand Tottenham are in a confusing state; sell Kane and buy Lautaro or Keep Kane and buy lautaro and have a very lethal attack for the coming season. With Romero signed to bolster defense line. It’s mixed feeling at Spurs.

Will Harry Kane end up At Manchester city come August 31?
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 10, 2021, 10:21:14 PM
As Messi is officially a PSG player now, I wonder whether he will be able to adapt to the team quickly. If he doesn't have any problem with playing with Mbappe side by side, then there will be no coherence problem. He has already played with Neymar at Barcelona so I haven't even mentioned him.

Messi is joining a PSG Galactico team, adaptation is less of his problem. Messi will be playing alongside Mbappe, Neymar, Verrati, Gini, Di Maria, Icardi, Ramos. A team full of professionals

The onus now is on the coach to get the best out of the squad. Champions league or nothing
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 10, 2021, 10:15:23 PM
For years, Juventus has dominated Italy and seemed to be wrong. Last season, that finally changed. maybe inter is just better than juventus right now. I wonder how next season will go. but there are more privateers on the coast.

Juventus goofed by signing sarri as manager and then employing Pirlo; Sarri came in with very ageing players which turned out to be bad for the club as seen in the previous season. Also, times have changed in the serie a

The league title is open, reigning champions are selling players at will and no one is really building to challenge, could Atalanta be surprise winners ? Or AC Milan ?
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2021, 09:37:06 PM
I'm reading the apology Paris is using for buying Messi.
I can't confirm this but also in France there should be the 70% revenue/salary ratio rule as in Spain.

PSG is at 99%.
The excuse they are using is that of "we have no problems with financial fair play as we plan to return to expenses in the long term thanks to the purchase of Messi and the enlargement of the brand"

But I say: are we kidding? but what does it mean? that only they can violate the financial fair play and say it publicly and others can do nothing?

In addition to this, I heard that an organization I don't know which one said "you can do what you want until the 2023 World Cup otherwise we risk making a mess for the World Cup in Qatar"

ARE WE JOKING?

UEFA must implode and the Superleague must be born.

The reality is that FFP is a joke and it applies only to teams not in the UEFA good books, Real Madrid and Barcelona and Manchester city has gotten away with ridiculous purchases without income record to back it up. FFP is sham

PSG has a very bloated wage structure already, either transfer fees are paid or not. Messi will ofcourse generate money for the league and club, would it balance the books or will FFP ignore and issue a waiver ?
Time will tel
