1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $16M in Stolen Ethereum from Upbit Were Just Transferred on: December 02, 2019, 08:59:49 PM
from my perspective, why only ethereum was stolen, why not all of bitcoin and the erc20 tokens as well. and why this also happens when the moment like this, looks like a "drama" but the issue is immediately ignored by the upbit, and upbit bravely responsible for returning all ethereum stolen by hackers. I know hackers are getting smarter but it's still weird, only ethereum is stolen. Even so, hopefully with incident like yesterday, I hope other market exchanges will start to increase security so that the same incident does not recur.

You've got a point and I was also thinking that maybe the Upbit ETH hacked is some kind of FUD to pull down its price given that the Ethereum 2.0 is soon to launch and a lot of people are expecting much with the upcoming upgrade because it might be the time for Ethereum to reach a new ATH so the Upbit hacked wherein ETH was only stolen is really weird.
maybe they find the best way to obscure their transactions through erc-20, Eth can be broken down into many other erc-20s and it will eventually run smoothly to a professional mixing service. It's not as simple as stealing btc, xrp, etc., but tracking can be refracted without the need for a long wait. This is just my thinking, I think it is only for the purpose of their plan and is not related to fud.
1642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friends of Satoshi on: December 01, 2019, 10:30:53 PM
if someone claims it will also be useless because it will not be trusted. People who are close to Satoshi, or even those who belong to the same pseudonym network, will protect their identity as well as possible because it may already be a mutual agreement. Or they could appear with their own coins and make it more central to obscure the alleged relationship with satoshi
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: December 01, 2019, 09:43:44 PM
Yeah such enormous amount of reward to be paid in a bounty campaign usually move anymore because at the end the price will be way less than was expected, serious project team don't give out such ridiculous amount anyways because they care much about the project and would also want to protect investors, majority of bounty reward always go below what was in the spreadsheet but not every one of them.
a few years ago it was not like this, the total written results tend to have the same price. This has all changed since the conditions of the sales target were not able to meet the goal, so the developer postponed many things that made the holders traumatized, especially when the coins finally could only join on low exchange volumes. Finally, a change in trend occurs where the holder no longer wants to stay on the coin and chooses to sell without thinking again and becomes an adverse panic chain effect for the overall holder.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you stake? Exchange or wallet? on: December 01, 2019, 07:44:11 PM
so far safe with an exchange wallet, I mean for a truly credible exchange. Staking events are also frequently updated along with other promotional programs. so I can do 3 options at once, trading, staking, and investing (IEO, etc.), my funds are not too much, but I can maximize one option at a time with additional profit derived from other options.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saving for a House! on: December 01, 2019, 06:38:19 PM
If you plan to hold the money for minimum 1 to 2 years only then you should keep these funds in crypto like btc or eth because there is high probability that these cryptocurrencies will grow nicely in value yielding nice profits to you while if you want to hold only for few months or you do not want to see any volatility in your amount then you should hold any stablecoin only i recommend usdc.
stable coins or fiat savings at the bank makes no difference. if only the concentration was under 5 years, the inflation rate and so on would actually be more profitable in the bank because interest would accumulate effectively. Savings in btc or eth are also too risky, especially if the trend is the same as this year, then the value will be much reduced and will damage the original plan.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The only one way to always get your tokens after bounty ends on: December 01, 2019, 04:57:34 PM
in fact the first thing to do is see the reliability of the bounty manager but even this can not give certainty of payments if the team does not give the token to the manager the participants will not be paid, the only two valid solutions in my opinion are weekly payments or use of escrow before the start of the campaign
Escrow mode was once run with the bounty manager as the person in charge, but not anymore because most of them are also awaiting payment via coins from managed projects and also not assigned as distributors. Manager's reputation and ability are also important factors, for example, arteezy has a team for each section, their admin in the telegram community is more than one and interconnected, I think he as a leader has an intense time with the developer and determines an active attitude.
1647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber criminals are using Youtube to install-Crypto jacking software on: November 30, 2019, 02:04:50 PM
If you are fond of watching Youtube and clicking links on it this is something you should be aware of
Quote
Slovakian software security firm Eset has uncovered that cyber criminals behind the Stantinko botnet have been distributing a Monero (XMR) cryptocurrency mining module via Youtube.

More of this story here:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/cyber-criminals-are-using-youtube-to-install-cryptojacking-malware
botnet has infiltrated many tutorial channels and crypto affiliate programs, but not for crypto channels that focus at least on podcasts. Can be prevented by using ESET because the notification alarm immediately appears as a pop-up. This crime is not the first time and they continue to look for loopholes that mostly stem from user behavior.
1648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just earned my first 9$ in Bitcoin Cash, how can I grow it? on: November 30, 2019, 12:48:57 PM
bots will not be effective for $ 9 and trading will also only make a small profit, except in a day can target 50%, it takes time for that, or you at least increase capital of about $ 50 more dollars. If you want fast profit with high risk, you can try the futures option with the highest leverage, but you must understand that the liquidation price will be very close to the actual price.
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO: A professional scam on: November 29, 2019, 08:18:07 PM
Sorry, I can't agree with you. I will not call IEO is a scam, yes they take a good percent of token but that's a fee, not to scam. I don't want to talk about shit exchange's IEO, but you can't tell reputed exchange's IEO also scam! Many People buy when the token gets listed on exchanges, the price goes down and it comes to up too! This is normal, even BTC, eth price does this same! IEO is a good opportunity to recover the bear market's loss!
I think his assumptions are based on the initial price movement and especially in the first hour of listing, fluctuations look the same as the Pump and dump pattern and then the price drops quickly. He did not realize that it was normal to test market liquidity, and the actual price would be seen a few hours later, the IEO on the top exchange had a long-term volume endurance, and sought to benefit all parties including the organizer. If a trader is just trapped in hype and then buys at a high price, it is because of his lack of understanding in reading the initial pattern, and then starting to analogize the system with short assumptions.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think IEO is more legit if launch on big exchnages like Binance? on: November 29, 2019, 07:08:12 PM
Chosen exchanges won't determine that a project is gonna end well for investors. They might just indicate that in their roadmap to give investors hype that their coin is bound to appear in one of the coins in the dropdown list in Binance.
If it is gonna be legitimate at the end of funding, all you need to worry if your investment was even worth or was it the same feeling as investing in a shitcoin.
I don't think that devs would even consider putting their coin in Binance and they might just decide to launch their own exchange along with their coin specifically being traded there.
when reading "will be listed in binance", we can be sure the project is not a bad coin. here more emphasis on project quality. Investors also don't want to destroy prices because they know that exchanges have competitive volume. Projects that use their own exchanges already have the concept of utility, so they are more focused on the foundation of the system from the start, and also impossible to be accepted by other exchanges just like that.
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest on a project because someone said they are good? on: November 29, 2019, 05:59:28 PM
People who have a lot of experience of investing are not emotional when explaining something, they will not even talk about it at all if it is not asked, unless it has to do with referrals or binding benefits, you are also required to do a review of what has been explained. Many new investors will be blindly interested, it is natural because their next experience will be truly more subjective and do not want to return to the same hole.
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Low allocation bounty pools pays easily? on: November 29, 2019, 04:43:56 PM
Ferrum is a relevant example because their total bounty distribution is not so damaging to prices, but if they do not increase supply later, their price effectiveness will not develop. Large allocations are also needed in connection with the combustion strategy, etc. To increase demand and better supply. Apart from the total supply of the campaign, the prize allocation is always set at around 35%, and this must still ensure that their sales reach the target, or they will not pay at all like the others.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the Bounty program is over? on: November 29, 2019, 03:48:06 PM
All projects need promotions to support their marketing, including rapidly increasing community followers. bounty gives a fairly high response. If there is no bounty then they will lose a lot of points, unless their goal is an IPO. Participants will also continue to exist because they are used to being hunters. there have been no other alternative forms of marketing so far, except for only a number of airdrop programs.
1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binary Trading platforms aren't 100% fair on: November 28, 2019, 09:34:34 PM
brokers who are more focused on binary systems always exaggerate their ads with huge profits in just one day, this is also often expressed by their community on a regular basis. Maybe it's true that they are suitable and the benefits are in line with their expectations. But actually the system often makes them lose, this is more like a home / edge system on a gambling platform, the system is always more profitable compared to its users.
1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China implements new strict controls on Cryptocurrency on: November 27, 2019, 06:05:18 PM
The good side is that it can be a filter for fake projects, so that projects that are properly maintained can be justified legally.
Because of illegal projects I could have the potential for money laundering which would also harm many people including investors and users.
when talking about adoption and acceptance from the government, we are certainly aware of the rules of the game they will set. So far, what PBOC has done is correct to eliminate negative tendencies. I am sure they will also be more stringent for what coins can be traded someday, even tighter than what the US has done. The economic motives of sovereignty must always meet the element of profit for the country itself.
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people still create new ERC20 tokens/projects nowadays? on: November 27, 2019, 04:36:09 PM
erc-20 is still used by almost all exchanges to place their assets in hot wallets and wallet user accommodations. Even though it's bad in the ico season, the use of erc-20 is still very vital. But if next year and so on, many changes in trends that prove to be successful such as binance (bep2), it is not impossible that dominance will shift drastically, but it also does not look so easy.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: No matter how successful a bounty project is...... on: November 27, 2019, 03:16:49 PM
I disagree with you, because if bounty was well structured and offered good rewards and the token price was around the ICO price, it is a great bounty programme where you could have earned solid dividends.
Imbalance of the process makes your presumption difficult to become a fact for current trend campaigns. in the past, whatever number of participants joined was directly proportional to the ICO target achieved, because most investors also came from campaign participants as well. the current average coin price is much lower than the ICO, and I think campaign participants are also fewer because many disagree with Kyc's terms.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upbit exchange was hacked. 342,000 ETH lost on: November 27, 2019, 02:43:59 PM
Huge amount of money, can hackers easily steal such a large amount of money from a leading exchange? I think this may be because Upbit employees themselves took advantage of the platform's loopholes to steal the money.
The South Korean cyber criminal unit is very strict in investigations, if indeed their employees are involved, it will definitely be found. the number of eth hacked is very significant, but maybe the hacker can't break it now because everything can be tracked on etherscan. I remember registering on this exchange when the Klay event appeared a few months ago.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A coin that solves a problem won't die on: November 26, 2019, 08:50:25 PM
Okay, I would agree with op about the hypothetical coin that solves real world problems, but what about bitcoin?  It hasn't really solved a problem that has been plaguing the world for years, has it?  I fully understand its advantages, that it's bankless and doesn't depend on a gov't, but even in countries with hyperinflation it has not become a replacement for fiat.

Yet it's surviving.  It's doing so because it has proven to be a good investment, much like some of the bigger altcoins which also don't solve any real world problems.  A coin doesn't have to serve a purpose other than an investment in order to survive.  Bitcoin would have failed if that wasn't the case.
problem solving is also measured by the range of periods and what has been done. bitcoin cannot be instant to move in more complex conditions. at least the rate of adoption and use is always increasing.

I think bitcoin is just a conductor where stable coins will be more useful for dealing with hyperinflation. this is related to backed up which is used to strengthen the initial value.
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is going to be slower ? on: November 26, 2019, 07:41:20 PM
They will probably going to disappear soon if the condition of the market would stay a little bit longer like this. Investors will end up giving up to those projects that aren't worth it enough to invest because most of those projects will end up unfinished. The same happened when the ICO era was still active and hot.
https://www.binance.com/en/support/articles/360036753771
with a span of 1.5 months, finally troy was introduced to the binance launchpad, before this they succeeded with kava. Don't be pessimistic because the list of projects in the binance incubator is still competitive. My emphasis is not on investors and the sluggish coin market. But IEO must still be there to clear up the quality that no longer appears in ICO. so there is still hope for a good project to work with IEO.
